GSG is currently the only company in the entire world licensed by Mr. Kalashnikov to manufacture real, functioning firearms, and they have not taken this opportunity lightly. The low cost of shooting .22lr ammo is attractive, but not really at the expense of an unfamiliar rifle with awkward controls and an uncertain reliability aspect. Fortunately for those who of us who like military rifles, all these issues were not a factor with the GSG-AK47. The look, feel and controls are almost identical to the most heavily proliferated rifle system in the world. From the first time it is handled and shouldered, the heavy wood and comfortable stock length give the shooter the real feel of a familiar rifle.
The magazine works and looks great and the accuracy potential was surprisingly well. Whether it is for los-cost training on the real system, a departure from the usual noise to give your neighbors a break, to help a youngster learn to handle this style rifle without the recoil and intimidation of the muzzle blast or just plain for fun, we think the GSG-AK47 will make a nice addition to any military firearms collection.

Feels like a AK, Suprisingly accurate and Quality Metal work ! Review by W. Mike
Quality Price Value
I just purchased this gun yesterday for $250 USPros: Shoots everything I feed, Accurate, High capacity, Simple Design, Easy to shoot well, Nice Recoil, Ergonomical, Lightweight, Fits very nicely in my hand, Reliable, Easy to Use, Easy to conceal, Hi Cap Mags
The gun store said it was used but I could not find any indication it was ever used. Had the bag with 2nd Hi Cap. magazine, manual and tools attached to the Barrel. Inspection of the barrel and action showed no signs of ever having been shot. I ran a variety of Ammo through the gun including bulk-pack and it digested it all with no failures to feed or stove-piped cartridges. "Furniture" unfinished wood and excellent machine work on the metal parts.( I will probably linseed oil the dry feeling wood) At 25 yards with fixed sights I was able to repeatedly hit the 2" side of a 2x4 post, and that was without any sight adjustment. Was going to purchase a Kal - Tec PLR-22 for plinking but when I saw the GSG AK-47 for $250 I jumped on it and glad I did. I am looking forward to shooting it again as I live out in the sticks on a large acreage and have no neighbors in sight. I can't afford to feed my other rifles and this gun is a joy to use. Can't find Magazines for my SA2000 AK and that's a pisser ! So I will get more use out of this gun at a fraction of the price. (Posted on 12/9/13)
