Firearm Description

The Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR) was conceived to provide a more reliable, accurate and mission-configurable, American-made rifle platform for today-s military, law enforcement agencies and commercial tactical markets. The ACR is specifically designed to meet the challenges of the modern battlefield from close-quarters applications to the long-range marksman; configured in the field without the use of tools. Three American companies - Magpul Industries Corp, Bushmaster Firearms International, LLC (BFI) and Remington Arms Company, Inc. - shared a common design vision to put the best, most versatile rifle into the hands of the US Military. With emerging concept designs and after rigorous testing, Bushmaster, Magpul- and Remington- utilized the strongest materials and components to produce the most innovative and adaptable combat rifle yet - the ACR for military, law enforcement and commercial applications.

  1. It has many Pros, but they don't matter when the gun is grossly over priced! Review by Jason

This rifle was initially developed by MagPul Industries, who during development estimated a production price around $1500.00. Pretty reasonable for what it is, but when Remington, Bushmaster, and others go a hold to the design to produce, that estimate has over doubled. Really neat gun, but a waste of money at that price! Cons: Expensive, Pricey

  2. Very good gun even for the money Review by Sean

Yes it costs a little bit, but you do get what you pay for. I do not hear people whining about costs when they buy HK's, LWRC, Rugers, Colts, or numerous other rifles as the same cost/ or even more then I purchased my ACR for. The cost is actually where it should be right around $1500-1700. Those who counter with it is a "crapmaster" and doesn't compare with "insert name brand here", I recommend picking one up, and shootIng the thing. You may be pleasently surprised.

I am not a fan of the sights that come with it. They seem like ok quality but are not my cup o tea. (Posted on 6/8/11)

Pros: Shoots everything I feed, Accurate, Simple Design, Easy to maintain, Easy to shoot well, Nice Recoil, Ergonomical, Fits very nicely in my hand, Reliable, Easy to Use
    Cons: Expensive

I have really enjoyed shooting this rifle. It is a bit pricey but the trade off is a gun that is easy to shoot and maintain. It is a very accurate gun for the price and I would recommend people take it for a spin at their local range. (Posted on 10/4/12)
