  1. Outstanding Revoler Review by Gski

I own both the SP101 2.25 inch barrel in model 5718 with the hammer and the model 5720 with no hammer. I must say that they both are excellent shooting and handling revolvers. I carry either for CCW and really love them. In bear country I carry both with Buffalo Bore 180 grain ammo. (Posted on 8/8/14)

  2. Very Good Solid Piece of Equipment Review by Rudolph

Elegant looking gun, reliable, solid and plenty accurate. Needs finish:work: smoothed out (with nail buffer) all sharp edges at all exterior planes and parts such as the drum, around the hammer, underneath and around the barrel drum, trigger guard, striker plates etc... Front sight needs to be more visible and the trigger pull needs to be smoother. All in all, a very good gun for the money. (Posted on 6/3/14)

Pros: Shoots everything I feed, Simple Design, Easy to maintain, Easy to shoot well, Reliable

  3. I shoot a .35 Reming Review by Kaline

I shoot a .35 Remington Marlin 336. Great gun that puts the smack down. It has close to the same ballistics as a 30-30 but is a 200 grain blelut. I like to think of it as my flying fist. It packs a big knockout punch. If you know the phrase DRT, this gun leaves the deer Dead Right There EVERYTIME! It does not blow huge exit holes either. It really transfers all of the energy within the deer. I have used a 30-30, 30-06, .270, 7MM and a 7.62 X 39mm. The .35 is my favorite. The 25-06 is a necked down 30-06. So it packs a mean punch for a small blelut. Super fast but as a wildcat cartridge, ammo is always more expensive. I personally would get the .270 fixed, just buy a stock and replace it. Then you can use it and find someone to repair the original. My dad gave me an SKS and I used that for a long time and it has never failed me. I replaced the stock on that too. Amazing how old surplus rifles are just fine, it would make no difference to me if I had my trusty SKS or a $2,500 custom bolt action gun that shoots sub .25 groups at 100 yards. My target is about 8 inches around not .25 inches. Expensive deer rifles are a waste of money. Trudging through the woods and swamps when it is raining or snowing with a $2,500 rifle is just dumb! That 25-06 would make a mean Coyote canon! I would use it for some long range varmint patrols!Luke (Posted on 5/5/14)

  5. Everyday carry with powerful .357 mag Review by Frank Seguin

Awesome, solidly built gun. Always goes bang. At only 26oz it is not too heavey and the shape of the handle makes it very comfortable to conceal carry. Would recommend to anyone as first gun or last. Great plinking gun with .38 spl.

I wish it had more than 5 but with a speed loader it should be plenty. Besides if you need more than 5 rounds you need to have a backup plan. (Posted on 8/17/12)

  7. BEST BUILT 357 SNUB NOSE I EVER HAD! Review by Ralph A Rich

    Quality

This is simply the toughest little 357 I've ever had
I NEVER have to worry about a Ruger blowing up in my hand
Made in USA and quality you can bet your life on!
More recoil than the GP100 since it's quite a bit lighter, but
perfectly manageable with even the heaviest loads
I use 38+P ammo as my normal carry ammo and it gives plenty of stopping power with moderate recoil
I'll soon be buying the new 22 version as it every bit as tough! (Posted on 4/26/12)

I absolutely love this revolver. It shoots eveything I put thru it. It is accurate. It is heavy but I carry mine in a Galco speedmaster belt holster. It also sit on the night stand when I go to sleep. I have & will continue to carry it as my CCW. It is the best caliber for self defense. (Posted on 2/17/12)
