  1. My favorite .22 revolver Review by David

This is the second ruger single six I have owned. I sold the first one and had seller's remorse big time. However the second one I bought, unlike the first one, is equally accurate with both the long rifle and magnum rounds. Both guns the stainless steel with a 6.5 inch barrel. after a thousand rounds I can hit anything I aim at 9 times out of ten at 30 yards with open sights. 45 and 50 yards are obtainable as well. As most of you have heard by now you can shoot anything from .22 short to 22 magnum through this gun. I don't have any misfire problems even with bulk ammo. In my opinion this gun is a mechanical gem! I have owned the MKIII as well and liked that gun too, I just got tired of burning through ten rounds as fast as I could pull the trigger, taking it apart to clean as well as the magazines too. And by the time you get through a hundred rounds with the single six you will be able to unload and reload fairly fast. I use a Cabela's 22 ammo pouch on my belt right side. If your trying to walk around with a box of ammo and reloading from that you will get tired of it soon. The ammo pouch is a must have. I wanted a .22 for plinking, small to maybe a little larger game with the magnum cylinder. This fits the bill for me and is actually my favorite gun. (Posted on 4/12/11)
