Ill start off on a good note the gun fits nice when you line it up, its light and its very light on the budget. I first got mine when i seen how cheap it was and that it was made by savage arms, i then when to load it my first time and the first two rounds double load, it seems to have problems ejecting the fired round and instead it just proceeds to ram another one behind it which is very difficult to pull apart. Which also goes to the cleaning part the only part that is easy to pull off is the barrel a few specialty tools are need to pull anything else off, bottom line is if you want a cheap gun and your not worried about reliability then it wont be bad but trusting your life to one is not something i would do. A few years back I bought a new Winnie 1300 and so did a coworker. Our boss who was going out hunting with us went out to buy a Winchester but came back with a Savage, He said the price was to hard to pass up. It looked great and we figured it was a good deal. However it proved to be one of the worst guns to buy out there. Impossible to maintain it was jams and does not eject right and is just do to poor design. I thought the Remington 870 was bad designed with the safty behind the trigger. But i would take an express over a dozen free savage models. (Posted on 3/21/12)
