Hand loading brass is available from companies such as Sierra, Speer, Hornady and powder loads include H4350, H414, H380, H335, and IMR-4064 loads. A 150 grain Spitzer bullet has a muzzle velocity of approximately 2,850 ft/s depending on the load. The 8x57mm Mauser JS is comparable to the .30-06 in firing, distance, and accuracy.
