1. Heckler & Koch MP5. In the early 1960s, the Heckler & Koch company developed the MP5 submachine pistol. It turned out to be an extremely successful design. West German police, border guards, and special forces adopted it in 1966. It turned out to be a tremendously successful design. Despite its age and the introduction of modern submachine guns and technological advancements, the MP5 is still in use in approximately 90 nations, including Germany. Its manufacture is still ongoing.

2. Uzi. Uziel Gal, an Israeli army lieutenant, created the Uzi Submachine Gun (SMG) in 1949. In 1954, it was presented to Israel's army special forces for the first time. The Israel Defense Forces adopted it as their standard issue submachine gun two years later.

3. FN P90. The P90 isn't your average submachine gun. It was created in the late 1980s in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale (FN). It was designed as a personal defense weapon for non-frontline personnel, vehicle drivers, tank and artillery operators, and was chambered for entirely new ammunition. 

4. Heckler & Koch MP7. The MP7 submachine gun was created by the renowned German manufacturer Heckler & Koch. The HK PDW, or Personal Defense Weapon, was the original name for this weapon. It was created as a direct competitor to the popular Belgian FN P90. Non-frontline troops, vehicle drivers, tank and artillery crews, special forces units, VIP protection teams, and hostage rescue squads are among those who benefit from it.

5. Heckler & Koch UMP. In the mid-1990s, Heckler & Koch designed the UMP submachine gun as a successor to the legendary MP5. The major goal was to create a lightweight, powerful SMG that was less expensive than the MP5. Its manufacture began in 1999 and continues to this day.

6. Beretta PM12. In the 1950s, Beretta created the PM12 submachine pistol. The first time it was revealed was in 1959. The Italian Army, special forces, and law enforcement agencies all adopted this weapon in 1961. This weapon is outdated by today's standards, yet it is still used in Italy and other nations.

7. MAC-10. Gordon B. Ingram, an American firearms designer, created the MAC-10 submachine gun. In the mid-1960s, he began developing this small weapon. It was designed primarily for special operations personnel, police enforcement, and VIP protection teams.

8. CZ Scorpion EVO 3. The Ceska Zbrojovka firm produced the Scorpion EVO 3 submachine gun. In the Czech Republic, this weapon is known as Skorpion. It is marketed as Scorpion in the rest of the world. It is a third-generation weapon, as indicated by the "EVO 3" designation. It was first made public in 2009. Law enforcement officers are the primary users of this weapon.

9. Brugger & Thomet MP9. The Brugger & Thomet MP9 is a successor of the Austrian Steyr TMP submachine gun. The MP9 was first produced in 2004. It is now in use by the Swiss army and law enforcement agencies. Bulgaria, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, and maybe additional countries have all received this submachine gun.

10. FAMAE SAF. Fabricas y Maestranzas del Ejercito (FAMAE), a Chilean state-owned small arms manufacturer company, designed the SAF submachine gun. This weapon's production began in 1993. Chile's armed forces and law enforcement agencies mostly use it. It's also been sold in other countries, such as Portugal. The FAMAE SAF is based on the well-known and highly successful German Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun.
