This pistol was one of my first attempts to find a reliable compact 1911 for concealed carry. While the pistol was well made and had a pretty good trigger for a stock 1911, it was not reliable. It malfunctioned (FT Eje...ct, FTF) about 7 or 8 times per hundred. I tried different magazines and ammunition. I couldn't get it to work reliably, so I sold it. more

  • ATI FX 45 1911 Xtreme Titan "Budget 1911"
This ATI Titan made in Philippines has a three and 1/8 inch bulb barrel and a an officer sized, it's got a bull barrel that's the Titan Extreme. The trigger works so good, the sights are pretty much all stock sights and... the good thing is to say it's metal core not plastic that makes it pretty cool. more

This ATI Titan is an officer sized 1911, it's has fiber optic front sight it's also has ambidextrous safety on it, got a titanium fire pin that makes it an excellent gun. Highly recommend this gun it's functions flawles...sly and if want bring it to the range and you'll shoot 150 rounds or more you will not get any problem like failure to fire or misfeeds. more

Like many, I purchased this Titan LW knowing it had a few shortcomings. I installed a Kimber Ultra Carry guide rod, Wilson Combat mainspring and firing pin spring, polished the feed ramp, Wilson Combat checkered frontstr...ap, Hogue Kingwood grips, and HiViz front sight. I have numerous 1911s and this is the best in every respect. more

    Stopping Power
45 acp, is a man stopper, and for a 3.12in barrel, pretty good accuracy at 20yards, no more. That's hitting a 10 inch round target. 25 Rd 16 hits. And I shot at least 500rds 185gr . Did have 2 stove pipe, 1 failure ...to pick up next round, 8 failure to go completely into battery. But that is wright out of the box. Found a lot of shavings, but good cleaning another 500rd not any issues. To bad it didn't come in a 12 Rd 9mm. And in the same size. more

I bought the Titan lightweight. Spent the money and bought the spring replacement kit with guide rod from Wilson . After replacing all springs and rod, and highly polishing the ramp, have had no problems with feeding. We...apon shoots straight with tight groups at 20,30 and 50yds. I have always carried a 1911, in the Corps I carried a Colt gov model an am very proficient with both weapons. The fit is good and after about 400rds it rattles like my US Army Gov model I brought back from Nam. I purchased the weapon at a local gun show 5yrs ago and carry it every day. I have had two Colt defenders and one Kimber. The ATI to me is a better weapon pricewise and is just as goof or better than the three mentioned.I had misfires and FTE's on all three, especially the high priced Kimber. I am so comfortable with the Titan I put my life on the line almost every day with on my side. I recommend this pistol for a low priced quality weapon to anyone that wants it to fire every time, under any conditions. more

I did get this at a great price. My full size is a Norinco govt. model I bought 15/20 years ago. I had planned to buy the colt defender, and saw this about 60% less, I think I paid $363 out the door. I have had it about ...2 years now. I did like a lot of you, and replaced the guide rod right away. In fact I made sure I could get that before I bought this gun. Kimberly had the part on back order. When I got the gun, I cleaned the goop off of it. No real good cleaning, just adequate and a little oiling. They tell you to allow 200 or so rounds for a break in period. I fired just ball during the first 200/300 rounds. My feed ramp came fairly polished, but I did do that also. Now the gun shot everything I put through it. FMJ and HP too with no problems. The only ammo I have found to cause problems is Atomic +P in HP. This is a very hot ammo, thinking the case was expanding, as it was jamming in the barrel. Everything else went through it fine To top this off, my 1st magazine, very 1st magazine was 6 of the 7 in a 1 1/2" group. The last shot was a flyer, my fault looking up to see the shot before I was even finished. Oops. This was at about 10 yards. In summary, I was out about $430 for the gun, guiderod assembly, and also a hogue wrap around grip with the finger grooves. The only real con I have come across is buying an OEM magazine. I have bought two of these at the gun show locally and have had to Drexel off part of the top of the base pad to get them to stay in the gun. The one that came with the gun, Andy the full sized magazines fit great. I would say this is a buy. It's a great value! more

I purchased this Titan on a Wednesday and had it that Friday. I had looked at the reviews and noticed there were some customers that had problems with malfunctions. I replaced the slide spring assembly with that of a Kim...berly for about $45 before I attempted to fire the weapon. I also polished the feed ramp and the bottom of the barrel with a Dremel Tool and soft buffing wheel with polishing compound to a shiny finish. I then cleaned the pistol inside and out to remove the machining oil. I took it to the range Saturday and fired 150 rounds through it with not one malfunction. It is very accurate and easy to shoot. Has a crisp trigger and easy to see white dot front sight. I trust my life with this weapon as it is my new concealed carry pistol. Shoots as like a dream! more

Upon receiving the my overview was that it indeed was a very nice weapon, tight and a good fit in my hands. The sh...ort barrel is destined for close range but I was also getting good patterns at 25yds. Very pleased. more

I purchased this ATI Titan and almost feel like I stole it at the unbelievable low price. I have put over 500 rounds of ball, PST, JHP without a failure to feed or failure to fire. This has become my everyday conceal car...ry piece. I trust my life with this Titan. more

First off the accuracy is very good right out of the case. Very happy with the quality! I do agree it needs a better guide spring and that will be the one thing I replace but other than that I can't find an issue with an...y part of it. I would highly recommend this gun to all of my friends and have already done so. Thanks for a great product at a great price. more

To start I have to say I found buds through gunbroker. I saw the colt defender and decided to come here and buy it directly from Buds. When I came here to do the deal I saw this little gun for less than half the price. I... figured I have a full size Norinco that's great, so why not try it. After doing the purchase, I immediately wanted cancel the order. I had seen so many reviews that weren't good and had me second guessing it. Well Buds processes and ships so quick, it was already on the way. I got the gun it 3/4 days. When I opened it up, it looked well built. It felt good, hey maybe this is a good piece after all. For $363 it can't be that bad right? I did see the reviews about a poor design on the guide rod. I figured I would nip this right away. As soon as I could get the Kimber replacement I ordered it. I bought a set of Hogue wrap arounds before I had the gun. So these accessories put me at about $425/$435 total. I had this gun for several months before I even shot it once. Well today was the day. Finally! I took this baby to the range, with another piece to fire them up. This gun just feels so good in your hand! I have always wanted a compact 1911 45. The beauty is, I can use the mags from my full size too. Well with guide rod, and the grips in place I got two boxes of blazer aluminum brass round nose to put through it. I loaded up several clips, the gun only comes with one, again people have whined about a bad oem clip with this gun. It is an act mag that holds 7 rounds. I wish I could post a picture here to show my 1st shot. It surprised me, it was a dead bullseye at 10 to 12 yards! That was the best one, but the gun did have some nice groups, shot well, and felt great in my hand. I didn't clean it oil it, nothing. Just replaced the grips and guide rod, and away I went. I put 100 rounds through it and had 2 FTF. Not too bad, when it's right out of the box, no oiling, no cleaning at all. Those came as the last bullet in the clip from my full size. The clip that came with this gun worked perfectly. So it's only 100 rounds, but I would buy it again, I would recommend it to a friend. My only complaint would be like most 1911's, the sights are not too great. I was able to get good grouping, and a few bulls eyes, but I would like better sights. But this is a great little gun! Don't believe me? Look up Hitchcock and ATI on you tube. He says the same thing. He is a much better shooter than me. Look it up and see how good of a gun this is. If you read this far..... Just buy it, you won't regret it. more

Received this little gem from Bud's a couple of weeks ago and was finally able to get it to the range on Saturday. My initial thoughts out of the box were positive, nice fit and finish, excellent feel in the hand the wei...ght is fantastic. I was initially worried that the weight would drastically increase the recoil, it did not. I had an additional pair of 6rd mags that I took to the range with me and while the pistol performed well, it performed better with the mags I had rather than the 7rd one provided. Still it was obvious that any FTF's were magazine related, there were no other failures. Overall the pistol is fantastic and I would recommend it to any 1911 lover looking for a compact EDC. more

Well I tried buds again since the storms delayed my last purchase I figured I'd give them another chance. Well storms delayed this shipment as well just my luck but even with the delay I got the gun with in a week. Great... job buds As for the gun I took it apart cleaned it it looked good felt great. I put it back together ran a clip through it and had 4 fail to feed out of 7 rounds. But I was expecting it with all the research I did before buying. I will pull it apart and polish the feed port and see how it acts. As far as cycling it felt good nice and tight and was pretty accurate it shot a little low but dead center more

This gun is NOT a good buy at all. Liked the price and style, so I thought I would give it a try. Took it to the range shot about 50 rds through it and had a FTE or FTF just about every other round using TULA steel ammo.... I wouldn't recommend this gun to anyone, especially as a concealed carry. If you are wanting a 1911 for cheap I would look elsewhere because this gun is cheap for sure, I would pay the extra money to buy something different if I had the chance to do it over again. more

ATI FX45 1911 LW is a nice size gun. Shot 100 rounds with the FX45 using TulAmmo FMJ, Federal FMJ, and Remington JHP. The FX45 likes the Federal 230 brass. The gun did jam when I used JHP. I think the feed needs to be po...lished. The gun had trouble with TulAmmo 230 FMJ. It may be the steel shell. The front sight is a poor, weak, dim white dot. The FX45 comes with only one magazine. Overall, I like the 3.125" barrel length. I like the Light Weight. I like the trigger. This gun did shoot very accurate at 25, 50, and 75 feet. more

Rcvd ati titan today. Not sure if sad or pleased, as this item was not the tis but the tib, the nickel boron finish. While I was really wanting the stainless to mirror polish, the flat silver gray is different, and cool ...in its own way. Ive waited over a year for the stainless to come back in stock, so padtially disappointed. Cleaned and oiled, feels smooth. Guide rod seems to be a hex bolt now, not screw hesd. Will change it out. Ill write another review 500+rounds later, see how she does, and how finish holds up. more

This gun rocks! I was a little concerned in purchasing a 3" 1911. After reading many reviews I went ahead with a purchase. I just got back form the range today after I ran the first ever box of 230grain fmjs thru. If you... like 1911's this gun is for you. It went flawless. This weapon is smooth, easy to handle and is easily concealable. Better yet, it is half the price of a Kimber!!!! You wont regret purchasing one of these. With Bud lifetime warrenty you have nothing to worry about. more

So far I've shot about a hundred rounds through this gun; I've had a couple of failures to fed in the first two full magazines and have also had a couple of failure to return to a fully closed battery in the mixed bag of... ammo that I've shot through it thus far. It had handle some +P 230 grain JHP without issue beyond the increased recoil and muzzle flash. I'm fairly well pleased with the overall fit and finish of this gun but I'm not really pleased that the small parts such as Beaver-Tail Grip Safety, Slide Catch and Thumb Safety are of a very high polish almost looking like chrome whereas the rest of the gun has a really nice low luster and/or bead blasted finish. The grips were the absolute first thing to go as while Mahogany Grips are usually rather lackluster these while nicely checkered with the double diamond pattern look to have been dipped into some sort of poly finish that nearly slicked out the checkering. The sights are rather narrow but the front is painted white and this helps make pickup a little easier; but I hear that Colt Defender sights will fit so that expands the selection if need be. Overall for the price point I think that the gun appears to be very well made and will prove to be a keeper. Take down is simple enough in that all you need to do to field strip is to remove the slide stop and remove the slide from the frame. more

Brought it to the range and went through 100 rds. Shot great, recoil is easy to handle. As accurate as I am. No malfunctions to speak of. I read about brass hitting people in the face, didn't happen to me once (+ I'm a l...efty shooter.) Smooth all around. Fit & finish was great when I got it. more
