Lightweight, minimal recoil, with the legendary reliability of the AK series. I paid $757 for my Arsenal AK-74. That's a helluva deal compared to the M16 series, which I normally see selling for over $1,000. The of the M16 are the ease of inserting a magazine, as well as the rear peep sight. If you keep it clean and out of the sand, the 16 is a fine weapon. However, I prefer the AK and am very pleased with my purchase. more

  • Arsenal SGL31-61 Ak-74
Its an authentic AK 74 made in Russia, pretty much cut and paste. This got a military-style triggers, pretty long trigger pull, not really bump fireable , not very easily . The muzzle brake device is a lot beefier, it a scope mount. The sturdiness of the weapon clearly outclasses any of the other Ak's I currently keep on hand. more

  • Arsenal Inc. SGL-31 5.45×39 mm
This SGL-31 is plenty accurate for its purpose, consistently placing rounds in the credit card-sized "A" box of a standard USPSA target at 100 yards. The combination of the efficient AK-74 muzzle brake and the small-cali...ber round make for a very fast combination, producing very little recoil or muzzle rise. The AR versus AK and 7.62x39 mm versus 5.56 NATO/5.45x39 mm debates will rage on among posers for decades to come, but the reality is all of the above have proven themselves as viable fighting rifles and cartridges around the globe. The SGL-31 provides shooters with a high-quality firearm in an alternative cartridge that became quite appealing when the price of 5.56 NATO doubled and tripled. With a few accessories, the performance capability of these AK-74-style rifles can be taken to a whole new level. more
