    Good gun for the money
Just bought this gun last week. Needed an all a round shotgun for whatever season, but couldn't fork out the bigger bucks (Wife said so..lol). No problems, handled good and it cycled 6-1 1/8, 7 1/2 -1 1/8 shot with ...no problem. I like to be prepared out in the middle of no where, wish there were easier ways to get parts for it. more

    Good Gun
I bought this needing an extra gun for a family member coming in to duck hunt with me. I took it out and shot some rounds through it. Took a little getting used to it with the carriage lever but all and all it shot every...thing I ran through it. It does cycle 2 3/4 shells but you have to exchange the pistons for light load and heavy load. Basic features but looks good and shoots. A bit of a kick! For the price you can't do any better for a duck gun. more

    Accurate
Had several issues feeding your every day light loads for clay shooting. I still have the issues. Anything above 6 shot works flawless. I've probably ran 1000 shells thru it in the last 5 months

    Great Gun - Great Price
I made this purchase several months ago, looking for an economical semi-auto 12 gauge. This has been the perfect gun. Shot lots of ducks since the purchase and can't wait to get it in the field during dove season. S...hot 3" heavy load Winchester during duck season. Cycled flawlessly everytime. Light weight for carry, made it the perfect fit. more

    Best bang for your buck!
Bought this gun right before the beginning of mid season duck hunting here in NC and have used it for 15-20 so mornings with no failures. For the price, you can’t complain about the faults of this shotgun and I&rsq...uo;m here to tell you it’s an absolute workhorse that kills ducks. Pros: Affordable Low felt recoil Shoots magnum shells Uses Benelli Crio chokes so there’s an aftermarket choke compatibility Kills ducks Reliable Cons: Hasn’t been able to shoot 2 3/4 light loads since I bought it but could just need to be broke in. And really isn’t that big of a deal seeing as some more expensive shotguns with 3 1/5 capability can’t shoot light loads. On the heavier side, but it’s a gas gun. Brass sight more

    Trustworthy
I’m not one to write reviews, but this gun is fantastic. They have been sold out of the country for years and now that they are available here in the states they will go fast. This gun has cycled pure, little recoi...l, and has not jammed once. The weight is just right, and it feels great in my hand. I was scared at first for the fact that no one writes reviews about this gun. But let me tell you, This gun for its price point is top of the line. more

    First impressions not great...
Bought an ATA arms CY Super magnum semi-auto after reading lots of reviews online. I was not in a position to spend $1000 to $1500 on a duck hunting gun this year but wanted a solid waterfowl shotgun. I will come back af...ter the hunting season and update but first impressions have not been great... the very first shot the day after purchasing at Academy the forward sling keeper ejected from the gun. Fortunately I had a sling on so I was able to recover the swivel keeper from the sling. I remover the cylinder cap a low and behold there sat the snap ring! I thought maybe it was just not properly seated from the gun being assembled. I painstakingly reinstalled the keeper and the very small snap ring. After much frustration I was able get the snap ring back on therefore securing the keeper back in the cap. So, next morning I'm off to the duck bling (with no sling installed) and after a few rounds of birds I look down and my sling swivel is gone... leaving an open hole in the end of my newly purchased shotgun... I mean gone gone... I looked for it in the blind but could not find it. In addition the gun did jam on me once but not real concerning since only a handful of rounds through the gun. Well, one call to Academy confirmed the only way to get a new sling swivel and plug the open hole in the end of my new shotgun through warranty is to return the gun (yep the whole gun) and have it shipped off for who knows how long in the middle of duck season! Not willing to do that I am going to attempt to find a replacement part or at least something to plug the hole in the cap. Not giving up on my new ATA CY but not a good start. In all with only a few ducks to challenge the CY Super Magnum performance wise it shot well. I am not a seasoned duck hunter or a great shot but managed to kill the few ducks we could get to commit. more

    decent overall gun
Got this gun a couple months ago, and it was a great gun for the money. At first, it would not cycle and get locked up a lot, but that goes away with use. It still doesn't cycle anything below 6 shot, but it cycles ...6 and above flawlessly. I have not had a single jam or misfire for the past 5 boxes of shells of a decent size. This is good, as I use it mostly for waterfowl. Deadly accurate, hit all five ducks I aimed at. Good gun, but do not use for dove or quail. more

  • CY MAX-5
Quality and craftmanship immediately come to mind when you first see the ATA ultra light semi-automatic shotgun. This is an extremely versatile semi-automatic, gas operated shotgun. It’s basic design and trouble free o...peration make it ideal for all types of hunting and sport shooting. The model CY is built with a 3” chamber and so this allows the use of 2 3/4” and 3” shells, giving the option to use lighter target loads or heavier game loads. There is also the CY 3 1/2”, which is a completely new design that complements the existing models in the range to complete the ATA shotgun family. All CY 3 1/2” shotguns have receiver grooves for scope mounting machined into the receiver top. The CY has been designed with smaller-stature shooters and hunters in mind. The stock’s length of pull is 12 1/2” (32 cm), giving the perfect length and which, combined with the 24” (61 cm) ventilated rib barrel, gives the CY excellent fit, weight and balance ideal for smaller-stature shooters. more

  • Are ATA shotguns any good and what chokes do they use
Once in a while you get a product that newly introduced and you can get value for a while . This may or may not be an example of that! Many times (most times) you get what you pay for and the low price tag concerns you b...ut sometimes a thing comes along that may be a good deal . you would like to see and pick up one of these shotguns and see how it points and feels. you will see they are very light ,about 5 1/2 lbs! They are gas operated which some hunter like and some don't. Thanks for the heads up I'll be looking for one of these on the shelf. There is some solid products that come out of Turkey , this may be one! more
