Super ACCURATE!!! 1st shot out the box hit the center line of the cross on the bullseye at 7 yds. Next, I shot a 5 shot group at 25 yds = 3 1/2" with Underwood 200gr Extreme Penetrators. Came back in the house & cleaned ...the gun. I'm done!!! 6 shots total to sight the gun in. Pretty impressive, I'd say!!! Didn't even have to adjust the sights.Well balanced & not bad on recoil. I was expecting more on the recoil end. Easy to field strip but a little trickier on the reassemble. By far, the best priced 1911 45acp on the market & super accurate. In my opinion, this ATI Military 1911 will shoot just as accurate as any high dollar 1911 out there, just for a whole lot less to buy. The ATI Military 1911's are made in the Philippine's & they are our Allies. I always try to buy American 1st, then our Allie's. Well built, balanced perfect & definitely an accurate shooter. 5 star for me!!! Thanks ATI, well done! more

This gun is just AMAZING.. the way its feels in your hand, and how it shoots is fascinating. Is comfy even to carry. I shoot closed to 100 federal rounds and it was flawless, of course you have to clean the gun completel...y before you take it to the range as always. Over all this gun will meet your expectations. more

  • ATI M1911 Delivered! (HD)
The ATI M1911 It is with a hammer bet the gun. This fancy shiny stainless steel one with the fancy beaver tail and all the stuff. It's attractive because about a basic and non dressed up. This ia very basic pistol there'...s no fancy beaver tail this just the regular grip safety that comes standard on any of those 1911's. The hammer is just a regular panel hammer and there's nothing fancy about that just a regular panel hammer, regular Gl ml, Terry serrations back and expect on the standard-issue a small tactical imports logo. The grips are just mahogany checkered but not Double Diamond fare the standard magazine releases. Expect it the hammer is not a skeletonized hammer. It's just the traditional hammer and it's got a very small safety though. It is very nicely working safety, its easy to engage and disengage trigger the fire finger is very nice. It is about 5 or 6 pound trigger pull. more

  • American Tactical M1911 GI. Is it any good?
ATI Firepower Xtreme 1911 It's a single stack and one holds eight rounds and realistically. Haven't had any issue at all with it running no failure to eject, no failure to feed, It's literally been perfect right out of t...he box and it come with the eight round magazine. The leather holster is doing a pretty good job at taking the finish off the corners of the slide, the rear sight is also beginning to lose. more

This ATI Firepower Xtreme 1911 is a steel This gun it is quite oily going to wipe. This obviously is their Gl style model will show clear and take a look around the gun, great Jackson have an act mag 8 round with witness... windows (blue) and the chamber is clear. The muzzle is nicely blue rather handsome gun nice rich colors, traditional bushing front. The American tactical emanating 11 military labeling, it's strong but not billboard. The frame is made in the Philippines which is probably a good indicator. The front strap nice and smooth like brown and wanted if these these grips. more

    solid pistol
I have put a lot of 230 grain steel cased ammo thru this gun. I did have an issue with the mag that came with the pistol and ended up getting a new one. Overall it has performed very well.

Shoots like a dream. Very little kick. Only problem racking the first shell into the chamber it wanted to jam. Put only a full clip through it. Hoping it doesn't repeat the jam. Love her ;-)

The ATI FX Military 1911 is exactly what I expected. Solid and Accurate. I will suggest replacing the Recoil Spring and Extractor to anyone who purchase this firearm. Think of it as an upgrade instead of a fix for any pr...oblem. I have had no issue with this Classic Firearm design. The first one I bought was so good, I had to buy a second. My example came in with a trigger pull well under 4 lbs, and after some feeding issues in the first 50 rounds it has become quite reliable. The grips are a bit odd... being far thicker than the normal 1911 grips, but I'v...e come to prefer the extra width. I did try standard grips... but found that I like the factory ones better. Between the grips and delightful trigger, I find I shoot this thing better than any 1911 I've tried. Better, in fact, than any center-fire pistol in my experience... more

Well made in the Philippines, no tool or grind marks, nicely finished in dark gray Parkerizing. Manufactured to Pre-Series 70 standards, so good trigger pull with no lawyer mandated firing pin block; has aluminum trigger... and steel mainspring housing instead of the PLASTIC that Colt is putting on all their late manufactured product. Experienced three failures to go into battery with S&B 230gn .45 ACP Ball (also from SG) in the first 100 rounds. Replaced factory 16lb recoil spring with a Wilson 22lb recoil spring and the weapon hasn't missed a lick since. Weapon shoots to exact point of aim at 3, 7, and 15 yards - shot 248/250 on the Texas CHL silhouette (the two I dropped were my fault, not the gun's). Factory supplied magazine with extended floorplate not strictly authentic, but it fit and fed just fine. Purchased six Kimber GI style magazines (also from SG) and they all functioned flawlessly. If you're looking for an excellent recreation of the Plain Jane WWII-style 1911A1 that's also a heck of a shooter, then this is the one for you. more

Very pleasantly surprised by accuracy and limited recoil, dead on at about 25 feet. Quality of pistol very good, very tight fit and finish, a tremendous value at this price point! more

Just what I was looking for-a bare bone 1911A1, the gun looks great and shoots very well. The only thing I did not like was when I opened the case for the first time and looked down the barrel the fouling that was in it ...was more than you would expect for a new gun just being test fired, I guess they tested it with cheap ammo and lead shot. I brought it home and spent about an hour taking it apart and cleaning (most of that time was removing the fouling out of the barrel). Very tight ,very well made and shoots great, no problems except they did not clean it before packing it from the factory , at lease now I know it was clean and oiled before I shot it . If you get one you will be pleased with it , just clean it before shooting!!! more

I ordered the ATI Firepower Xtreme: Military 1911 and was very happy with it the same day I ordered the ATI ATIGFX45TIB FX1911 Titan and not at all happy with it. The gun was either a return reject or one built from part...s of other rejects. The barrel was so leaded up from lead bullet you could not see the rifling it looked like a clean bore shotgun. After an hour of cleaning the barrel cleaned up real nice. The ejactor is filed off with a file. New factory gun ?????? After about 35 rounds and two FTL I went home. more

Great handgun! Finally got a chance to go to the range. Ran 100 rounds thru gun, performed flawlessly! Very accurate at 20 feet. Looks good and feels good in hand. Only one small problem, on initial cleaning of barrel, I... found what I thought were metal spurs but on further inspection were paint particles. Barrel is painted black and looks like overflow inside. Cleaned thoroughly. Did not effect performance of gun. Overall great handgun, would recommend. Thanks to Buds for a great purchase! more

This pistol is fantastic. A pure steel WW II clone. I bought this pistol anticipating that I would customize it and make it into a target shooter. Even talked to my gunsmith about adjustable sights, new barrel, hammer ch...ange etc. First 200 rounds gun was spot on target, 2-3 inch groups at 20-25 yards. Of course even better at 15-20 yards. Not one flaw, misfire or stovepipe perfect ejection and feeding on all 200. Mag holds 8 without problem. It is one of the best high quality, well made guns found at a low end cost mark. Delivered in a plain brown box, no documentation or manual but sealed in a plastic air tight bag. Gun was filthy with wet manufactures’ grease. I cleaned it well and over oiled for first shooting. Good idea. Fittings are all tight with perfect slide to frame action. The only downside was buying from Buds. Thought I would probably never use them again because of slow processing. The jury is still out on that one. They didn’t ship gun for 8 business days although I know payment (e-check) was cleared in 24 hours. Customer service did nothing to help expedite. I hear now this is SOP for them. I am however so pleased with the gun it may have made up for their bad behavior. And they do offer a lifetime warranty…+++ more

This is my first 1911 so I am no expert but for the price of this gun you would expect much less. This gun seems to be well built, we'll put together and after about 100 rounds mixing brass case and aluminum case ammo no... jams or issues at all. Shoots just as accurate as my Glock out of the box. I field stripped after shooting and it is typical 1911 dissembly. I would highly recommend this gun to anyone looking for a first 1911 or a budget 1911 that can be upgraded. more

So, as I am a relatively new collector but long time shooter, I have always wanted a 1911. I finally got my taxes in and checked on Bud's and lo and behold this beauty was on sale for 350.00. I didn't hesitate, and jumpe...d all over it. Man, let me tell you, I am so glad I did. This gun is the real deal. Reminds me of shooting my dad's old GI issued 1911 from Vietnam when I was a kid. It's pure steel, and built like a tank. There is no play in the fit of the slide to the frame. The spring is not too stiff and not too weak. Short guide rod. Barrel is cold hammer forged (from what I have been able to find out doing research). Action is smooth after cleaning off the factory lubricant and applying Ballistol. The factory mahogany grips are nice, but because I am a geek I changed em out with some custom Punisher grips. Looks awesome, by the way. Gun shoots great. Operationally no complaints. Factory mag is alright but I went ahead and bought two Chip McCormick mags (8rd) and one Wilson Combat (7rd) to go along with it at my FFL. Gun's fixed sights are only issue. Prints low when aiming on target. Have to aim over target or tilt gun up some in hand which causes some irritation from the beaver tail. Put about 150 rounds through it at the range, and dang, this thing is a nail driver once you compensate for the low print. Shot some Armscor FMJ (very accurate) and some Winchester white box bulk ammo (noticed a few more fliers when using it). Hollowed out the bullseye on target at 10 yards after getting used to the gun. Amazing. Can't believe I waited this long to get a 1911. It's no Colt, don't get me wrong, but man, if you want a 1911 and are on a budget this gun feel like it should be worth twice the money. Little about the manufacturer I found out, and history of the 1911 in the Philippines in general: Apparently after Vietnam we sold tons of surplus 1911's to the government down there. They have been standard issue to their military and police since then and are still used to this day. As a result, the 1911 became one of the most popular firearms in the country. Many companies sprung up making clones of the actual US Govt surplus guns that were floating around. The civilian market for 1911's continues to be lucrative down there today. So you get very well made copies of the workhorse government 1911's from back in the day for great prices. These guns are fantastic. They are actually really high quality and extremely well put together. Verdict: Highly recommended purchase. Great gun, great quality, fantastic price. Reliable. Great base platform for a project gun, or just to take out of box and strap on your hip. more

I bought the ATI Firepower Xtreme in April but had been looking at it and thinking about it for quite a while. I had first seen it on Rural King Guns but deliberated on it too much and never got around to pulling the tri...gger (no pun intended). I have a Kimber 1911 and I was curious about how the fit, functionality, and mechanics compared. I am very happy with this gun overall. It is tight functioning with little or no slop in the slide. The weight feels good and it is great to shoot. While I don't normally carry my Kimber because, let's face it, it is pretty and I don't look forward to holster wear I have no issues carrying the Xtreme. I did have an issue with a Kimber 1911 mag that did not seem to operate in it, but I need to look at it again to make sure I was getting the mag all the way up into the well. It could have been fast paced user error. All in all I am very happy with this purchase. It is a well made and accurate pistol and the price makes you not apprehensive about carrying it. Put on some custom grips and it pops. Highly recommended. more

The slide is fitted perfectly, no rattle whatsoever, and it genuinely felt good to hold, and I'm not a big dude, didn't know if I made a good choice picking the government model, but I do now, awesome gun :) more

Awesome value 1911. Pretty faithful replica of the old 1911a1 but just has the ATI rollmarks. Absolutely reliable out of the box and a good shooter. Switched the wood grips out with some old plastic GI grips and it looks... and feels awesome! Thumbs up! more

I purchased my ATI Firepower Xtreme Military 1911 over one year ago. Today is the first time I had a chance to take it to the range. I changed out the hand guard grip for a laser grip hand guard. It is black with a beaut...iful design. It does not take away from the beauty of this gun, but enhances its beauty. I can easily turn it off and on with the click of a small switch. I shot from the 5 and 15 yard line without any mishaps with the laser turned off. I shot approximately 40 rounds and called it the day. The rounds were on target, center mass, in a nice group. I am very happy with my purchase. I have always wanted a 1911, but could not put myself at spending too much for the top name brands out there. This gun is very well built, no rattles, tight tolerances, and very easy to operate. It rocks! I recommend the ATI 1911 to all interested in 1911's for sport, collector's piece, or home defense. Of course, a high five to BUD's for delivering high performance firearms at affordable prices. more

I shot 60 rounds of ball and a few hollow points and it worked fine. Didn't dent the brass and cycled nicely, laying the empties in the same area. Accuracy is so-so but I am 70 and can't shoot anything like I used to. I ...was hitting a ten inch gong at close to 40 yards which is all I expected really, about like the beater I carried in Vietnam 50 years ago.Trigger is okay for this kind of gun. It came with the dirtiest barrel that I have ever cleaned. The first few passes of patch and brush looked like I was sweeping the shop floor with pieces of lead and crud coming out for several passes. I even called my wife out to look at it. I found rust starting in a few places too but it wasn't deep yet. Field stripping and assembly took some work as things seem too tight in the wrong places but it will wear in. There are no lawyer safeties mucking up the piece. I have owned better 1911's but it is okay for what I want. If I drop it in the gravel or bang it up a little, I won't care, and it will still shoot. Ordering was easy and delivery was very fast. The pistol comes in a nice padded plastic case, it's in a sealed bag, there is a cable lock and the papers are also in sealed bags. It has a heavy coat of oil and has been te...st fired but, cleans up very nicely. Everything is sharp and tight as they should be but, that made field stripping a little slow. Other than a few small differences this is very close copy of a military M1911A1. It handles well and fires well, no different than an issue pistol. Love it. more

Solid 45acp! Eats anything that you feed it. Built exactly like the old Colts. Very stout to take fair amount of recoil. Shoots as good as a Kimber, just not as polished as the higher priced pistols.Super reliable!

I was a bit scared to purchase a 1911 for under $400.. online they had mixed reviews..but after a trip to the range I can honestly say that it was easily worth the money. The only hiccup I had...and yes it was a fairly b...ig pain..was I couldn't get the first round to feed. I kept having to drop the mag and clearing the chamber manually. Once I finally got one to feed into the chamber after 5 or 6 tries... It performed flawlessly for the 300 rounds I put through it today. I'm very happy with the accuracy of this firearm.. I know Hickok45 said if shot low...but again ..all of the past issues with this gun have been fixed from what I can tell. I am new to 1911s and have only shot handguns regularly for 8 months..but at 25' I was able to get a 3/4" grouping of 3 less than 1/2" lower than the perfect sight alignment. ... For iron sights...this is way more than I would have expected a 1911 under $400 to achieve. I went ahead and swapped out the guide rod and plug for a full length one...changed the grips to g10 grips...and replaced the trigger with an adjustable skeletonized trigger. It's great having all the parts able to be changed with other brands. The only thing that I can see that I can't change out is the grip screws...as most are standard...and I believe these are metric. I also purchased the cheap 8 round Mec-gar mag from buds which also preformed flawlessly. Buds was good to deal with like always...had to wait 5 days for my check to clear...but after that it wasn't even 3 days before my FFL was calling to let me know my order had arrived. more

Keep in mind the price - lower than most polymer pistols. I wasn't expecting much, my previous experience with 1911s being 3 Kimbers of various "specialness" and my grandfathers WW2 milsurp. This pistol has a few upgrade...s over that milsurp that I can detect: the rear sight is way better having an actual notch as opposed to a mere suggestion of one; real wood grips instead of plastic; wider hammer spur; medium length trigger instead of short one; and a chamber witness hole at the bake of the hood (very small, just enough to see if brass is in the chamber). Finish was as described and was even throughout the pistol. Fit was.... wonderful. When in battery there is 0 slide movement and with no barrel in the pistol only very minimal movement (no rattle). When locked up, 0 play in the barrel hood and none with the muzzle. Holding the barrel and slide up to the light, there is only a very slight amount of daylight )maybe 1 or 2 thousandths) visible at the rear of one ide. All safeties or as expected. No hammer followthrough. The trigger has about 1/16-1/8 takeup with an equal amount of overtravel, minimal creep, clean break. Definitely not light, about the same as that milsurp. The back of the slide is a wonder - everything is perfectly flush and blended well, with the extractor only visible in the right light and angle. Again, the price. in first box of ammo ran perfectly with included mag and Chip McCormik mags using Blazer. This thing is awesome. more

I have to give this a bad review I've had mechanical problems that have led me to not even attempt to shoot this gun. First is a chambering problem when there's a full mag but maybe that's just a mag problem. The slide a...lso doesn't fully return when a round does finally get in the chamber. And the barrel is so tight it's hard to put back together after my initial cleaning it was almost too tight to rack the slide it's the most stiff slide I've ever seen. more

Bought this as my first 1911 and wasn't sure what to expect but am satisfied. I field stripped, cleaned and lubed it and recommend you do too. The gun and barrel had a ton of crap in it and was covered in oil. Tight fit ...and once cleaned and lubed the action was very nice and smooth. Took it out and ran a few magazines and it ran the ball ammo great. Was a little picky about jhp, but it's a 1911 and it's not technically designed for it. The expensive home defense federal jhp ran perfectly, so find one that works for you. Otherwise great gun and at this price point you can't go wrong. Very satisfied more

I'm a gun novice. Let's just get that out of the way. But, when this arrived, I thought "wow!, what a solid, well built beautiful gun." I took it out and shot it. It seemed like a pretty straight shooter compared to othe...r guns I've shot. Then, I went shooting when a couple of friends of mine who are gun experts. They kept asking "how much did you pay?" "really?" "where did you get it?" When they shot it, they were shooting shots right on top of each other at 7 yards. So, I like it because it's a sweet looking gun. My friends like it because it is a sweet shooting gun. In fact, one of my buddies had his own 1911 that he couldn't shoot nearly as accurately as he could shoot mine. more

Great 1911A1 .45 Auto. I dare anyone to point out any difference between this ATI (SAM) version and an Ithaca 1911A1 manufactured for the DOD during WWII or any DOD manufactured/issued version between 1942 and 1960. I qu...alified and stood countless POOW Brow Watches with one and this ATI Military 1911 is without a doubt an exact model of all those weps. Best deal of all, accurate to a hair from 25yards right out of the box. My first four series of 8 rounds blew me away at the accuracy with 1/8" groups in the 1" Bulls. First time total break down took a while but after a dozen break downs, I can now do it completely toolless. Straight up, great price for a well made and clean version of Browning's 1911A1 and highly recommend anyone looking for a true to the bone 1911A1 to seriously consider an ATI Military 1911 .45 Auto. This ATI 1911 is a great "first" 1911. I received mine from Bud's quickly. After a field strip and cleaning where I did find left over chips and "sludge" from the manufacturing process, I headed out to my range. The supp...lied magazine held 8 rounds and looked to be of fair quality. However it would not feed the last round correctly. The design of the mag follower allowed the last round to nosedive causing the feed problem. I had other "quality" mags so I was able to successfully complete my first outing with this firearm. I found the overall quality, fit, finish, and look to be very satisfactory. My ONE "slightly" negative impression came from the grip safety. I was not very comfortable on the back of my hand. For the price it IS a good buy, especially if you are on a budget and really want a 1911. If you would like to see a GREAT video review of this firearm search for Hickok45 ATI 1911 on YouTube. more

Great 1911 for the price. It is not a highly polished, precisely fitted match grade gun but it is solid. I have not had any problems or issues at all. Decent trigger. Tight fit. Mag drops freely. Shoots great. I will war...n that you will need to thoroughly clean it when you get it. Mine was packed in grease and had quite a bit of milling grit in it. I took it to the range for the 1st time. After 112 rds the slide was jammed closed. The mag it came with would have failures to feed. I called the company asking for a refund and was rudely told they don{b39ad82cdbbd01c2...056b8122ba24d82cb7097f89ede1496e756ecf8d38b030da}u2019t do refunds, to send it in and have it repaired. It was sent back to me and the problem was the spring had gotten jammed in the slide. I took it to the range again and had to fight to get the slide off for about 5 minutes. After cleaning it, during reassembly it took me an hour to get the barrel to seat so I could properly get the slide release pin into the barrel lug. I called the companies VP and left a message. This IS a nice gun! This is your basic 1911 in it's truest form and I like that. It functions perfectly and shoots straight. Nice grouping. What more do you want? Oh wait. I almost forgot. There are those snooty elitist'...s who only will have the highest priced toys in their gun case. Are you going to use it or just brag about it? If you want a good shooter at a good price this is your gun. I took mine out and ran a couple hundred rounds through it and not one problem. Reliable is important to me. The finish is a bit thin and will show wear but to me that is a badge of honor. I use this gun and it looks like it and I enjoy shooting it. It's like a trusted friend that I can count on. I purchased the ATI Firepower XT 1911 with the anticipation of simply hoping it functioned due to the low price. However, I will say I was pleasantly surprised when it came in and I began to inspect it. No, it's not a $1...500.00 (or more) brand but I wanted to have one I could have some fun with and not stroke if I actually were to scratch it. This gun came with a heavy oil / grease coating on it and I would definitely recommend cleaning it thoroughly prior to shooting (as I would any gun). I can truthfully say this gun was more than what I expected and feels really well in hand. It seems to be tight fitting and the action is very smooth. I have taken to the range and shot with my son and both of us thoroughly enjoyed it shooting it without any hiccups. It appears this gun functioned extremely well and was holding 2" groups at 20 yards which was better than what I expected. This is my first 1911 and bought it simply because I have always wanted one but couldn't justify spending $1500-$2000 on one to plink with. If you are looking for an inexpensive and reasonable priced 1911 that is solid, this is it. Very pleased and lots of fun. Well weighted as it is an all steel frame which helps on the recoil. Great gun for the money and I have no regrets. I may have to buy another one because my son seems to really like it as well! more

Wow it's been almost 30 years since I last handled a 1911 in the Navy and I'm very satisfied with it. Only complaint like others have mentioned is loading the last round in the mag that came with it. Very hard to do even... using an Uplula loader. Was looking at it with a partial load of snap caps and I'm wondering if the spring is part of the problem. Already ordered some aftermarket mags so I'm not going to worry about it for now although I may eventually replace the guts with a Chip McCormick shooting star follower and spring. The item arrived in a timely manner. As always it was a good price. Upon cleaning the gun before it's first outing to the range, I discovered that it had a bent front sight. So, rather than enjoying a day at the range, I... had to go to the nearest FedEX to return the slide to ATI for repair. Of course, ATI is taking it's time returning the replaced/repaired slide. This was the first poor experience I've had with Bud's. I hope it will be the last poor experience. Perhaps, it would behoove Bud's to spend a little time inspecting what it's selling. more

I did a lot of looking before I got the ATI "Military" .45 pistol. Things I like: Not as much lowering on the ejection port. Not needed, we got through wars/conflicts without scooped low ejection ports. The port on the ...Military model is somewhat lower than an honest to God GI 1911, and more like an original series 70 Colt. I like the lack of "whale tale" (aka beaver tail). Preference, but I prefer the standard grip safety profile. I like the "button" thumb safety. I like the lanyard loop. I like the all steel construction - even the trigger and small parts are steel. I like the Parkerized finish (aka phosphate coating). I like the wide hammer spur. I like a really nice tight slide to frame fit, and barrel to slide fit. Kudos on that! I like how they got the Series 70 (or original type) firing pin spring the right strength (really strong). I like the not too overly done barrel ramp. Its not the little military type, but neither is it the super duper 2:00 to 10:00 throat. Again, very much like the original Series 70 Colt in that regard. Things I don't like: The stupid protruding plastic magazine base. The unmentioned "loaded chamber" window in the barrel hood. The sort of cartoonish "military" sights, which are sort of shaped right, but too large to military sights, and too small and poorly shaped to be really useful. The wide hammer spur ain't like the military standard... again a sort of cartoon copy of the old wide spur military hammer. All the damn writing and engraving on the slide. The beveled mag well, while nice doesn't belong on a "military copy". Some individual niggles: The slide stop would not reinsert into the frame. Close inspection saw a really sharp corner that would not get the plunger started moving backward. I few seconds with a buffing wheel on Mr. Dremel fixed that. The grip safety had to be fully depressed and then "really mashed" to get the trigger to move rearward. One quick swipe with a fine flat file fixed that to the point that the safety works great, and that a normal "fully depressed" grip will disengage it. Function fire in my back yard had a failure to fully chamber on the first round out of the 8 rd magazine. I withdrew the magazine, cleared the round, and topped off the magazine with the same round. The 2nd try worked fine, and two magazines worth of 8 rounds fed after that with no hitches at all. As with any autoloader, I'd like to get a few hundred rounds down the barrel before calling it well functioning. I ordered on Sunday night, and by Wednesday I had the pistol in hand - so KUDOS to BUDS too! I'd have given the ATI Military model a "4", but the low, low price overshadows my few niggles, and it still gets a "5" on account of that. more

Excellent quality 1911 clone. Tight fit, crisp trigger, light hammer. The manual safely lever has a larger pad than the original A1. The manufacturer has been producing this product since WWII. 75 years of experience wit...h a 100 year old design. Quite remarkable. more

Best budget 1911. Fit and finish is almost flawless. Recommend a full detail strip and cleaning on arrival. The mag is an act mag which is excellent quality, but I use GI 7 rounders normally. Just my preference. Would gl...adly buy another! more

Thanks ATI, well done!!! more

This is a pretty good 1911 45 acp. The only problem I had with it is it wouldn't accept hollow points. After calling ATI they told me that I could send it in for repair or just polish the feed ramp myself. I did have to ...purchase a krotex head for my dremel and that seems to have fixed the problem for now. The only thing I was a little confused on was why Buds offers a warranty on a gun that the company already offers a life time warranty? more

What can i say about Buds Gun shop, that has not been said before. great service as usual. Ok now to the review of the Ati firepower Xtreme Military 1911 45acp. Having always wanted a 1911 auto and after researching i f...inally decided on this ATI model. The following will be more for a first time buyer, but will be useful to any one. A) get your self a barrel bushing wrench to help you start the field stripping process. Both the bushing and recoil spring are very tight to start with. Luckly i had order one before i had my handgun paid off from the 90 day layaway . B) slide stop is very hard to release when you first get it, but lessens up over time with working it. Also that when i went to remove the slide stop in order to field strip to clean ,the slide stop is very hard to remove.I talked with my FFL holder that did my transfer, who also does some gunsmithing advised me to use a sharpie marker or something like that to help push it out. Works but still a bugger. The more you field strip it the easier it gets.. And while we are on the subject of field stripping, yes you are going to get scratches on the gun. Bul luckly there are a lot of aftermarket finishes that you can get applied to your fire arm.C) The sights. What can i say, they are the basic military sights. But for up close work, they should be fine. You can always pain the sights with nail polish or model paint. And then you can go with color(s) that work for you. Plus you can get after market replacement sights. My front sight is held in place with a wide tenon, and the back sight is a standard military dovetail. You can find on other online sites such as Brownells ect, after market sights, inculding nightsights to change so if you wish. Also YOUTUBE.com has several videos on how to replace them. You will need a sepical sight tool to secure the front sight( think as a ballpean tool), so you may wish to have some one that has this tool to install them if you do not have more then one 1911 to do). D) Grips. They seem very well made and a checkering that reminds me of snake skin. Only thing that i thought that could have been done better was to remove from the screw holes the extra wood strans left over from the drilling, but this is no big deal. Also if you do not like the Mahogany grips just Google grips for a Colt 1911. You will find them from big name companies, down to a one or two person shop. E) The safety. Basic military style of 1911,meaning small, but useable. Also replaceable if you want. Again very stiff when yoy first get it,but will become easier after working it. The only really bad thing about the saftey is the serrations on the bottom side. After putting the safety off and on for a while, the side of my thumb the skin was cut off and became quite sore to use. A bandaid took care of this for now. May take an emery cloth and smoth this out some. Bottom line other then some of what i have listed above,I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THS 1911. YES it comes the PHILIPPINES, but they have been making 1911's since WW2 on Colt machines. Plus i went with after research, what i thought was the best 1911 for what i could afford. Is it a Colt,Wilson Combat or any other high price 1911's, NO. But for mostly target shooting, attacking zombie cans,it will work. Plus if things ever went wrong and i had to use for personal defense( or what was called government work" no idea where that came from" ) it will get the job done. Don't take my word on this 1911, look up on line, read the articles. Watch reports on YOUTUBE ( also a good place to watch the disassamble, cleaning, lubing and putting it back together. I was looking at first the 4.25" barrel, but i am glad i got the full size. But then again there is always layaway. Thanks for reading, Mike more

Great pistol ! I wanted a cheap, basic, GI model 1911 and this fit the bill perfectly. Took it to the range and shot 100 rounds without a SINGLE malfunction. Also - I've bought three 1911's through BUDS and they have fa...ntastic customer service, and I have received all my pistols withen 3 days at my local FFL. The ONLY negative about this pistol is when putting it back together, it was almost impossible to line up the link to the slide stop to go back in place. Took me a good half hour to get it to go back in correctly. Other than that, it's a fantastic shooter. Very accurate as well. I since gave this pistol to my GF since she has never had a 1911 before and I figure this would be a great start into the 1911 world for her. more

This is my review of the ATI ATIGFX45MIL FX1911 Mil-Spec 7+1 45ACP 5" that I just recently purchased. I found the pistol to be well manufactured and the parkerization was superb. The weapon was very tight and nothing rat...tled. It is very well assembled. The disassembly instructions could use some work and the photos were a little dark to make out what they were trying to show. As for the performance of the weapon, I loaded the original magazine with eight rounds and a new Chip McCormick magazine without the rubber tip base with eight rounds. I used the stock magazine first and it would not load the first round. I removed one round and then it performed perfectly. The Chip McCormick magazine performed flawlessly. I tried the stock magazine with different ammunition and it did the same thing, it would not feed the first round. As for accuracy, at 10 yards, my first shot was a bull's eye. The tightness of the pattern was unbelievable and it had very tight groupings. For the money this is a great gun! I am extremely happy with my purchase! more

I just came on Buds tonight to buy one more of these beauties and the price has gone way up from two weeks ago. I got myself a great deal on this baby here! After I got it home and cleaned off the dripping oil, slapped o...n some Hogue grips and a 18# spring. I racked the slide about 150 times after using some gun grease (like butter), and shot up some targets at 20 yards; they were full of ragged holes. Gun jammed on the first 2 mags then smoothed out, never a stovepipe or other extraction problems...ate a few pieces of brass on the way to 130 rounds down the tube. Would love to buy again at the $363 price!! Thanks Team Buds. more

I am utterly shocked at the quality, craftsmen ship, fit and finish on this 1911. This gun is solid! I have owned Colt 1911's, Remington 1911's Springfield 1911's Sig Sauer 1911's etc and this Philippino made 1911 is bui...lt just as good if not better then any 1911 I have ever owned. I have put 250 rounds threw it so far and it fired all with out any malfunctions of any kind and is dead nuts accurate. I love this thing. Dont care if its a non U.S. made 1911 either, that used to bother me but not anymore not in the least because those philapinos have perfected the art of building 1911's. i have also owned Rock Island Armory 1911's and High Standard 1911's and those were fine 1911's also but of all the phillapino made 1911's this one blows them away in every category. more

Arrived in good condition. Living in Arizona, I hung it over a bucket and serviced the differential on my truck with the hot drippings.Action is tight and smooth. Unfortunately, since the state is on fire, I can't go to ...any of my favorite desert shooting spots to give the accuracy report. Most innacuracy claims are problems with the brave, not the arrow. For the money, this seems to be a great value. more

Holy crap is this ever an amazing gun. It quickly became my favorite gun after a trip to the range. It performs as well as any 1911 is supposed to. My only gripe was that when I first got it, I couldn't chamber rounds fr...om any full magazine. Now that I've put 300 rounds through it, that is no longer a problem. It chambers rounds from any magazine and cycles just fine. Other than that initial problem, I have had no failures of any kind whatsoever. This gun is very accurate and doesn't have a whole lot more recoil than my 9mm. My father bought one and he loves it, and my best friend bought one as well. It really is an outstanding low cost 1911. My only wish is that .45 ammo was less expensive! I literally do not have enough good things to say about this gun. It is going to be my personal carry weapon as soon as Illinois allows it. more

I got it in 3 days, Bud's was my first purchase online and this is my first 1911, when i picked it up i gave her a cleaning at Ready Aim Fire in Bristol PA it comes packed to last 10 years in pack...aging grease!! I fired 1 magazine of Remigton 230G FMJ's no FTF or FTE and 1 magazine of Winchester 230G JHP also no FTF or FTE. The only problem the first time handling, is the gun would not feed the first round from the magazine if i put 8 rounds, 7 rounds in the mag no problem, not sure if it is the ACT mag that came with the firearm or the gun itself, i will do a follow up when i get my Wilson Combat 47D mag. more
