Beretta 686 Features

The Beretta 686 is available with barrel lengths between 26 and 30 inches, all accepting removable chokes allowing you to feed the gun with any loads you want.  This break-action over/under is built with a single trigger that fires the top barrel on the first pull and the bottom barrel on the second.  The barrels have a vent rib on top with a two-bead sight system.

Beretta 686 Ballistics

Beretta 686 Capacity

The Beretta 686 is chambered in 12 gauge and can fire everything from bird shot to slugs thanks to its removable chokes.  To load, simply push the lever on top of the grip tang to the side and allow the barrels to pivot downwards.  Drop a shell into each chamber and rotate the barrels back up.
Measuring 45 inches long with an unloaded weight of 6.8 pounds, the Beretta 686 could be one of your best options for a quality over/under.  Whether you’re turkey hunting in the woods, clipping waterfowl from a boat or trap shooting at the local gun club, the 686 offers a balanced weight that allows better proficiency when it’s time to pull the trigger.

Beretta 686 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The Beretta 686 is built with a stock featuring a half-pistol grip with deep checkering that balances looks and controllability.  The stock is fitted with lead weights at the factory to alter the gun’s balance so the center of gravity rests at the center of the handguard.  Both the stock and handguard are checkered, and the buttpad is made of a relatively soft rubber to absorb recoil.

Beretta 686 Fit & Finish

Just because Beretta made the M9 doesn’t mean their shotguns are the same quality.  Beretta has been making world-class shotguns for over 400 years and the 686 perfectly exhibits this quality.  The stocks and handguards are custom-made to fit every shotgun and match perfectly with the metal surfaces, and every metal face has a very fine surface finish.  The scrolling used to be done all by hand and is now done via CNC.
