The ARX 160 is an epic fun gun. If you’d rather have a full sized semiautomatic .22, as opposed to the undersized rifles so common to the chambering, this could be it. It is as capable as many of the .22s that are al...ways held up as examples. Or maybe you’d rather have something practical. In that case, the ARX 160 in .22 will be an ideal practice rifle for the ARX 160 in 5.56. It should (if the ammo shortage abates) provide a safe and inexpensive way to train. Regardless, I’d suggest taking the ARX 160 out for a test drive. It is an addictive gun. I haven’t had as much fun shooting a review in a long long time. more

  • Beretta ARX160 Rifle Review
It has collapsible and folding stock gives it a maximum overall length of just 36.2 inches. This telescopic stock enables the user to adjust the length of its pull at the touch of a button. I grew up sharing guns with my... brother who is a lefty, so I saw firsthand the frustrations a southpaw can face with a firearm. One of the cool feature of this rifle s their factory installed, four Picatinny rails, which open the door for tons of accessories. It has several ambidextrous controls, operating a rifle has never been easier. The ARX160’s accuracy is spot on and dependable. At 50 yards, the average shooter should be able to shoot within 1 ½” groups consistently. The flip-up sights are a great, but the real magic is in the rear diopter sight which offers supremely quick and accurate target acquisition. more

The .22 Long Rifle ARX 160 was tested similarly at 50 yards—it’s a rimfire, after all—and consistently produced 1.5-inch groups. It wouldn’t cycle properly with subsonic ammunition, though. Other than that, both ...carbines performed flawlessly with no failures to feed, stoppages or malfunctions. The “fun factor” was indeed identical. Recoil is either negligible or non-existent for the semi-automatics and they’re a pleasure to shoot. If you’re expecting an AR-15 feel, though, it will probably take three or four magazines before you warm to the ergonomics. The bloodline is Italian, and that puts more emphasis on sensual curves than sharp edges. For lefties, the charging handles can be changed to either side and the lower receiver has ambidextrous magazine releases and safeties. A flip-up, adjustable diopter sight rides at the rear of the top rails, while a flip-up elevation-adjustable post up front completes the sight picture. On the ARX 100, the sights remove by depressing a button and sliding them off. The rimfire version’s, however, are secured by roll pins, making replacement more of an effort. Aftermarket optics can usually be secured quickly on leftover rail space. Depending on eye relief, the rimfire’s rear sight could get in the way. more

    Excellent quality!
I have already shot close to 1000 rounds through this rifle without a single hiccup. This is a finely made rifle at an exceptional price point. Do not pass this one up. I would say my only concern for the rifle is the si...ghts that come with it. more

    Quality rifle!
Very pleased with this rifle. Very accurate and light weight. I wish Beretta would have made this rifle with exchangeable mechanism which would allow the change in bullet calibers.

    Amazing .22 Rifle
I've been around guns my entire life and this was my first gun purchase. The Beretta ARX160 is something i'm very proud to own just because of how awesome it is to plink it. The ARX160 is the .22lr version of t...he ARX100 that the italian military uses and it's about the same exact gun. This rifle is fully ambidexrious and fully customizeable. more

This rifle will eat even the cheapest ammo without fail. Have put over a thousand rounds through this ARX and have used everything from. CCI AR to Winchester. Easy to breakdown and clean. Completely ambidextrous with the... exception of ejection. Accurate and light. Will make you want the 5.56mm version. more

    Absolutely GREAT GUN
So I was looking at an ATI .22lr, but went with this gun as it was on sale and after reading up on it decided to give it a try. Took it to the range today 30NOV. It was also my Sons first time shooting ANY GUN. Loaded up... 10 rounds of CCI to try it out first. 10 rounds dead center close group (oh and by the way the CCI ammo that I had was over 20 years OLD). Next up I put some new 40gr Academy brand .22 ammo in and turned my Son loose. He put 10 rounds mid target. He is 8 years old by the way. He did have to let the clip rest on the counter at the range, but I am ok with that. I ended up putting about 300 rounds through this gun today with out a single FTF. This gun is so cheap to shoot and is probably the most fun I have had shooting in a long time. I will be at 1000 rounds before the new year. If you are thinking about this gun get it. It is a great gun for 8-40 year olds. If you will excuse me now, I have a new gun to go clean. more

    Fun To Shoot
Got the ARX last weekend and was a little unsure spending that much money on a .22LR but after shooting it I'm glad I did. This gun is fun, accurate and smooth. No FTE or FTF and I spent over a hundred rounds. This ...gun is worth every penny. more

    Way too much Fun!
After about 500 rounds of flawless shooting, I finally cleaned it with Rem oil. Yup, I could probably kept on shooting, but have never had any failures with the rifle. I bought another 20-round magazine from Barrett, and... a foregrip. The iron sights it comes with are pretty good. I had to adjust the front sight to get it right. The gun is accurate to within an inch at 25 yards, standing, shooting (if you are real good). I like to do rapid fire ammo dumps of about 4-5 rounds a second, and am able to keep a group of 5 inches at 25 yards while standing with factory sights. A lot of fun to shoot this thing. Buy another magazine or two for it though. more

    Disappointed with Beretta
Purchased when this was on sale for $350--glad I didn't pay any more than that. Got the gun home and it would not fire--the hammer would never release. So I had to send it back to Beretta before I ever got to shoot They paid for shipping and repaired it. Had it at the range this past weekend and when taking a magazine out, the opposite side mag release fell out. I shoot lefty so I use the righthand mag release and there's nothing to keep the left release from falling out if the muzzle is pointed up. Poor design--whats the point of ambi controls if one side is worthless? Also, the pop-up sights don't always stay down unless you get the latches just right. However, one positive--the gun is accurate. Overall, a great disappointment for the cost and brand name. more

This is great gun my kids and wife love it. we shot about 150 rounds and the gun has jammed 3 times in 2 days. I will try to find a solution for it. I will give it 5 stars but since it jammed I have a doubt in my mind. S...taff was very helpful in Olathe Kansas. I will certainly go back to Academy. more

    beautiful, fast and easy
I bought the 160 while on sale at Academy earlier this year, wanted a 22LR that my grandsons could learn to shoot from and be proud of while holding an AR. It's beautiful ,light and shoots any of five brands i put in... it,not a problem. Shoots as fast as you can pool the trigger.Placed a green light on it for night time rabbit hunting,a red/green dot w/red laser, x 5 magnifier and a front grip with plinty of room for more :) .Fun to shoot ,cant wait till they're old enough to teach and hunt. My youngest(19yr) daughter loves it.I have eight rifle's (a Bushmaster 5.56 AR),the Beretta ARX 160 is the easiest to clean. I've seen and held the ARX100 @ the Ft. Worth gun shows -OH how tempting. Thanks Academy, Steve more

    Functional 22 Rifle
This rifle will eat any 22 ammo I have, even Remington Gold. Not one jam, FTF, FTE. It is also very accurate. The adjustable stock is great when I take my boys shooting. I mounted an extra red-dot I had laying around and... it perfectly co-witnesses the iron sights. Can't go wrong with this rifle. more

    Best buy of the year!
Picked this up last week and I have had on the range 3 times already. You can load it with any accessory you like because it has tons of room. Tons of after market products available for it and it is 3inch accurate at 25... yards with the flip up sights. I have put a little over 1000 rounds through it with out a jam or FTF . Break down and cleaning is almost as easy as a revolver. I recomend this gun to anyone on a budget or not that is looking for something they can accessorize and personalize. more
