  • Beretta® BU9 Nano Review | Is This the Best Concealed Carry 9mm?
The design is ergonomic and very smooth to prevent snagging on your handgun holster or your clothing. As far as firearms go, it is a very customizable handgun. It comes with a serialized chassis and modular design that a...llows you to easily swap out different parts. For example, you can easily switch polymer grip frames for frames of another color or adjust the 3-dot sights and Beretta® Nano accessories without needing to be a gunsmith. This Beretta® 9mm pistol comes with a flush bottom magazine with a capacity of 6 rounds (for easy concealed carry purposes), but an 8-round capacity extended magazine is also available from the manufacturer to lengthen the grip by one inch as well. There is a reversible magazine release button near the trigger. The Beretta® Nano safety features include a striker deactivation button, which allows you to disassemble the handgun without having to pull the trigger. more

  • [FIREARM REVIEW] Beretta Nano 9mm Review for Concealed Carry
Much like a Glock, the Nano sports internal safeties instead of external (except for the trigger safety, very similar to the Glock trigger safety). It is designed, like any other modern firearm, to only fire when the tri...gger is pulled. Some people will only carry firearms with an external safety that they can visually inspect to ensure that it’s ‘safe’. If this is something that you look for, the Nano may not be for you. It’s the same reason you don’t own a Glock. The Nano factory sights are a pretty standard 3-dot system. They can be adjusted with the provided hex wrench, or better yet replace them with better sights. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive and compact 9mm for concealed carry, this may be the firearm you’re looking for. If you are brand new to shooting, the fact that it has no slide release shouldn’t be much of an issue for you. On the other hand, if you are familiar with firearms and used to that slide release, this will probably take some getting used to. more

  • Gun Review: Beretta Nano [Updated 2018]
It’s curvier than a GLOCK, has clean lines, and roll-marked lettering. It’s sexy in a “tactical practical” kinda way.Small, light, non-reflective, and snag free—ideal features for a CCW pistol.“Comfortable h...eft” makes it a pleasant shooter. It loses a star for the two finger grip, and another for that long, crunchy trigger pull. The non-serialized grip frame opens the door wide for customized grips. The easily interchangeable sights make the Nano a personalized package just waiting to be assembled. more

  • Beretta Nano 9mm Review 2018: Small Gun, Big Heart
As the smallest .380 ACP on the market, the Pico is freaking tiny. At only 18mm wide, it’s way too small for my hands – and light as a feather. However, in terms of its construct, it’s actually not such a bad handg...un. It’s pretty easy to use, has low recoil, and is surprisingly durable. It’s also super easy to take apart and clean like the Nano. more

I wanted a Nano for several years after my magazine release button rusted up tight "twice" on another very popular single stack handgun from a major gun manufacture. Went back to my G26 and still wanted a thinner gripped... carry gun in 9mm. Well I watch Buds a lot and the Nano went on a 12 hour sale and I ordered one right then. Saved 50{ad3449572dec669e3385ded581b33ca497622138abe45f0f5fac4d5f45c45144} over buying local! The Nano that I received was a new 2018 build from the new plant in Tennessee. It came in the new Beretta USA plastic case. Really nice and lockable. Gun is built like a tank, but I knew that for years. The trigger is only a tad over 6 Lbs and the travel isn't anywhere near the LONG travel reported by many reviewers. Dry firing with snap caps I get less movement than I do with Glocks or other firearms when the striker drops. Came with 6 and 8 round magazines. Only concern is my large hands do not lend themselves to a good release of either magazine with the small grip. However I probably will not be doing combat magazine changes with this tiny gun. It fits just right in my IWB holster for my G26. It's slimmer in the grip and prints less. I'll be getting it to the range in the next week for break in with some 124gr NATO ammo along side it's big buddy the 92FS. Buds has provided several firearms to my gun safe. The company is the best!!! more

    Overall a good carry gun.
Nice carry gun. Put around 300 rounds through her, with absolutely no issues. It has ate hollow points as well as aluminum case and steel case. Trigger is a little gritty and a very hard pull. Polish job helped a lot wit...h the gritty pull. Gun shoots good and seems to be very reliable. Overall a good carry gun. Nice and slim very easy to conceal. Nothing to snag on your pull. more

Got the gun, and already I was impressed with it. It feels great in my hand and even better when I use my IWB holster. It is much lighter than your usual compact pistol, and is easy to operate. The only thing I will have... to get used to is that it doesn't have a slide release, but the gun is so streamlined and feels so great that I can overlook that no problem. While the gun was supposed to come with a 6+1 and an 8+1 magazine, I was surprised when I got two 8+1 magazines instead. While I love the extended magazines, I do still want the flush 6+1. I know Bud's customer service is great, and they will take care of me. Great job as always!! more

    Wouldn't Trust It
I bought one of these for $300. It was nice and seemed to fit the bill of a great CCW. Purchased an IWB Foxx holster for it and thought I was ready to take it to the range and try it out. I brought several different type...s of ammo with my (Win white box 115gr, Win white box 124, Federal range, and Hydroshocks). I'm a bit OCD when it comes to gun "hygiene", and it was freshly cleaned and lubed. No matter what type of ammo I loaded, it always jammed (FTE). I'm not a novice by any means, but it just wouldn't work. I took it home, and listed it for sale. For the same price point, get a S&W Shield. I have 2 Shields (Thanks for the deals, Palmetto!), Ruger LC9s, and a Glock 42 & 43. All 4 of which are in my current EDC collection. Save your money and the headache. more

    Love my Beretta!
I bought this Beretta Nano after doing some reading about it, including a review by a woman sportswriter who thought it was a good weapon for a woman. The rebate clinched it for me.PSA shipped it in record time, and my F...FL showed me how to disassemble it and clean it. I was amazed at how simple it is to take apart. I came home and promptly shot 100 rounds through it. No recoil to speak of. I think it is a perfect gun for a woman. Fits perfectly in my hand using the 6 or the 8 mag. The slide is easier to pull back than my Glock 42. I have no problems with the trigger seems fine to me. I am thrilled with this purchase! more

The Nano has been very reliable with a variety of ammo. The slide was a little stiff at first but after a couple mags it loosened up. I took one star off for ergonomics. It may just be my hands/grip, but I feel like the ...trigger guard messes with my grip. It isn{d9d91572a6c89e8df5dad97b607b4b20b8edd746b2d088fb4fa0ad8a887c3946}u2019t bad but noticeable. It's a Beretta so how wrong could it be. It's a little heavier than I was hoping for but trigger pull is nice and breaking it down is very easy. It's a great fit for my hand. Bud's was slower than usual getting it to me ...and I had to use their "price match" to get a good price from them. It did make me start looking elsewhere though to find products less expensive. It's very important to copy Bud's product information and picture because they sometimes send a firearm of lesser quality than what they advertise or depict in their picture. They use the excuse of "stock photos" blaming it on the manufacture. Could this be "bait and switch" or just deceptive advertising? Bud's says just send it back before accepting it at the FFL. After driving 30 miles, waiting a week to get and paying for it. What a hassle! The Beretta however is a class act that you can buy with confidence knowing you get what you pay for. more

This gun will get the job done (safety/concealed carry). Not as little as the smaller.380's. The Nano packs alot of power it will surprise you. Simple but effective. Great gun. Not fabulous.
Let's face it. There are "better" single stack guns on the market in terms of trigger pull bore axis and aftermarket support. But if you can get passed the long heavy trigger and full release reset. You'...;ll find this pistol is extremely low recoiling for it's size and quite accurate to boot. I find it odd that the sights are easier to remove and replace than the grip frames. But it's not impossible. And for being only 5'7" and weighing 155 pounds this pistol fits in my pocket quite well (even with a good pocket holster). Definitely not a "go to war" gun.... But it's still a "get home safe" gun. more

    Stiff Recoil Spring
Got this about a year after they came out. I bought 115gr ball ammo from fiochi, federal, winchester etc brass case ammo. Had a failure to eject problem like 1 in 5 rounds. The empty would be stuck in the chamber with th...e next round forced against it by the slide. I shot like 200rds over 2-3 range sessions with the same problem. I sent this back to Beretta. They replaced the extractor and I recieved it about 6 weeks later. I went shooting again with the same sort of ammo. This time I had about a 10% failure to eject issue. I figured the recoil spring was too firm so I stuck it in the safe with the slide locked for at least a couple months. Since then its been shot 400 times with no malfunctions. I like the ergonomics and size of this pistol for EDC. With the 6 rnd magazine it easily fits in jean front pockets and has an extended 8 rnd as well. Trigger pull is long but smooth. Gun groups nearly as well as my fullsize pistol at 20 yds in slow fire. The long trigger pull is a little bit of a hinderance for fast accurate shooting. I consider this a good ccw since it started being reliable. Pistol is more easily concealed than most of its competition. more

    Beware of expensive ammo
I bought this gun not knowing it needed 124 grain or higher to perform. I put 300 rounds of federal and Winchester 115 grain and experienced a lot of jams, about 1 in 12. I was very upset with the pistol until I did my r...esearch online to see what the issue was. The owners manual doesn't mention that 115 grain will cause failure to eject or that you need to use a higher grain bullet. Still my favorite CCW
UPDATE! I've had my Nano for over a year and I love it even more every time I fire it. I've never had a malfunction of any type. However, a few months ago, I ran two mags through it and then let a novice shooter try it. ...She limp-wristed it causing a FTE. I cleared it for her and coached her on her grip. She went on to shoot 2 mags problem-free. Problem solved. Bottom line: don't limp-wrist! It is a cinch to field strip. All you need is a coin or flat head screwdriver--even a 9mm casing will do--turn the take down lever and the slide comes right off. As small as the Nano is, I think it is fun to shoot--unlike many others in its class. I rate the Nano very highly in all categories: comfort, accuracy, concealability, reliability, value, accessory availability, etc. I trust the Nano with my life. more

Purchased this several months ago and waited to review. I now have about 500 rounds through the pistol (zero malfunctions) and I love it. I was looking for a conceal carry pistol and this has fit the bill nicely. My pist...ol came with one 8 round magazine and one 6 round magazine. I carry with the 8 round mag because I want the extra ammo and I like the grip extension it provides, but it does make the pistol ~1 inch taller. It's not as accurate or gentle as my full size PX4 .40 or my 1911 .45, but it's a subcompact. I wouldn't recommend it if you're just looking for something fun to take to the range. There are better options for that. If you're looking for a dependable, rugged, and reasonably accurate carry pistol, then you'll love this gun. Also, I slapped on a crimson trace laser for good measure and it pairs nicely with the pistol. You may need to decide if you want the laser before you buy a holster as most molded holsters will only fit 1 configuration. more

Flawless performance with zero malfunctions whatsoever. Defin...itely a lot more comfortable with the 8 rd extended magazine (as opposed to the flush fitting 6 rd). I was blown away at the groups I was getting at 15 yards with this SUB COMPACT pistol. Love the 3-dot sights that come standard. Front sight is very visible. While it's a little bit of a pain to have to use a punch (or a ball point pen) to disengage the striker, take down is super easy. You can use one of your round casings to turn the screw on the frame to separate the slide for maintenance. Reassembly is even easier as all you have to do is put the slide back on and rack it which automatically turns the screw back into position to attach the slide back to the frame. Then you're ready to go. The snag free design is great as well. No hammer, slide catch, or anything else to get snagged up on if you're drawing your weapon from a concealed carry. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend the Nano to anybody looking for a good sub compact. I would also highly recommend Bud's. Once again, a flawless transaction on their part. Thanks Bud's! more

My first thought before this pistol arrived was that it did not have a safety on it so it would be very limited conceal carry since cant carry one in the pipe, but the Beretta name made it stand out to me among other pis...tols of this size, and of course the $100 gift card making it economically a good decision. Of course the limitation on the concealed carry still holds true for a semi auto pistol with no safety, but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised at the ergonomic feel, reliability, and other features of this little pistol. I am proud to own one to complement my other Berettas and I wouldn't trade it. The $100 gift card was a nice bonus on top of that making it an excellent purchase. Bud's service is always great. Thanks for being there Bud's. more

Went to the range yesterday with my new Nano. I shot 100 rds of pmc 124 grain ammo. The Nano performed perfectly. No malfunctions of any kind. Recoil is very manageable. The trigger pull is long but smooth. Overall, I am... very impressed. more

After months of researching I purchased the Nano. Was a bit worried due to this being my first purchase from buds and my first handgun. First off Buds and my FFL were great. They both kept me informed and answered any qu...estions that I had. Now for the gun itself. My first impression was wow. I went to the big box store and handled several guns but when I had mine in my hand I knew I made the right choice. I had it for a couple months before I acutally was able to shoot it. I used Aquila 124gr fmj. The Nano performed flawlessly. We went thru about 200 rounds with no issues. My wife who had never shot a handgun loved the feel. She actually did better with it than I on the first go round. The recoil is very manageable and if it's a major concern then don"t shy from this gun. It does have a long trigger pull but it is the only major safety for this gun and once you have shot it it does seem to become a bit lighter. It has a very easy take down and reassembley. I actually shot better on rapid fire vs long fire. This is a great gun thus far. As stated earlier my wife had no issues firing or getting back on target with this gun. If you want a gun for conceal carry that is easy to fire, easy to clean and has some stopping power then this is it. It is a fun gun and buds was great. If you do purchase this gun you may want to invest in an uplula magazine loader. The magazines are hard to load even months after. more

3rd gun purchase with Buds. As always, transaction went flawlessly. Now for the Nano. In comparison to other "pocket" 9mm's, the Nano's construction is very robust. Fit and finish is excellent. I field stripped and lubri...cated the pistol. Below are the round counts to date: 200 Armscor 124 grain FMJ 100 federal 115 grain FMJ 20 sig sauer 124 grain jacketed hollow points All 320 rounds were shot in 2 separate trips to the range with no cleaning or lubrication (other than described above) No issues at all, pistol ran perfectly. accuracy was also excellent at 5, 10, and 15 meters, especially since this is my first striker fired pistol. Recoil is also manageable, quick follow up shots are possible. Pistol came with 2 stainless steel mags, one flush fitting 6 rd and one extended 8 rd and a lock. I am very satisfied with my purchase. $400 and a $100 gift card was a steal for 2014 more

I bought the Beretta Nano because of the $100 gift card that Bud's offered. However, I love the gun and conceal carry it often. For accuracy, I can hit a target gong fairly often at 75 yards. I had no issues with the 115... grain PMC ammo, I used. It is very smooth, physically. It doesn't even have a slide release to catch on clothing. It is a great CCW gun. BTW, Bud's service was outstanding, as usual. more

    Phase II (live Fire) Evaluation
1st trip to the range. I assembled a collection of assorted ball and JHP ammo to test the Nano. I fired about 200 rds of assorted ball to settle it in. Ran flawlessly. Shot point of aim in the 3-15 Yd range. Shot about 1...0" high at 25 Yds. This is not a 25 Yd gun. The trigger is stiff, but in the range it is design for, it is a non-issue. The 124gr Remington Golden Saber was a point of aim/point of impact "death ray" out of the Nano. Ran 100%. That will be my carry load. Recoil was mild, even with the 110gr +P+ (shot sparingly as a point of comparison only). Comfortable to shoot too. My hands did not develop any "hot spot" during the firing of about 300 rds. The trigger is the only item worthy of a demerit. It has an outstanding reset, but it stiff. If you want to shoot small objects at 25+ yds, keep looking. If you want a reliable compact pistol to repel deadly goblins from 15 yds and in, you will be happy.. Be Safe more

I have put several hundred rounds through it with no problems. Has proven reliable with all ammo. Only complaint I have about this gun is the trigger. It has a very heavy trigger, and it's not terribly smooth. I see trig...ger pull listed somewhere as 9 lbs and I believe it. Fire a few hundred rounds and your trigger finger will let you know. more

    Phase I of Evaluation
Just received my Nano. The fit and finish is superb. I inspected it inside and out. Not a leftover tool mark to be found. Even the the breach-face is cleanly finished. I did a quick wipe down, swabbed the bore and added ...a bit of CLP to the moving parts (later applied some dry lube to the striker). The trigger is very firm. A good 10-12 lbs in my estimation. Heavy but consistent with a short./firm reset. The length of the trigger stroke is short and comfortable. Cleaning the factory lube off the striker assemble and adding a bit of dry lubricant smoothed it up a bit too. The trigger is acceptable for a pistol intended to be used at very short range. The standard sights are low profile and all METAL !!!!! The sight picture (during dry fire) is a useable 3-dot design. I added the night sights . Spending about 25% of the cost of the pistol just to add night sights is debatable, but I will take any edge I can if I am forced to face armed goblins in the dark of night. Pistol come with a 6rd and extended 8rd magazine. The base plate of the 6rd feels flimsy and sticks out in such a way that it digs into my love handle if carried in an open top belt pouch. Will reserve final comment on the base plate until after in had take a few trips to the deck during speed loads. The 8rd has a much more solid feel and adds another finger to the firing grip when in the pistol. Down side is the 8rd adds length to the grip frame causing it to print through shirts. It was still nice to see Beretta "borrow" what Kahr has been doing for years by offering the standard magazine to be carried in the pistol and and extended magazine to be carried as a reload. Will provide additional info on how it runs as soon as I get a few hundred rounds down range. more

Purchased the Nano to be used as a new carry weapon. I have put 300 rounds through it. It functions ok ....with quality ammo. The accuracy is TERRIBLE. I contacted Beretta customer service regarding the issue, they said ...they would do a "warranty" check on the Nano for $70 if I shipped it in. Id rather put that money toward a different pistol. I will never trust my family's security to this gun. It looks like it will be a dust collector in the safe. Bud's purchase process was fantastic.... as usual. more

I've had this gun about a year now and I like it. It shoots very nicely for a small gun. I do find that the type and brand of ammo matters, as has been discussed elsewhere. Mine eats any type of Fiocchi without problems,... but cheap 115gr Federal range ammo, it does not like. The addition of Talon grips really helps a small gun like this. more

    Oustanding CCW
This is an exceptional little pistol. The striker-fired Nano is very accurate and dependable. I shot my Nano and my wife's LC9 back-to-back and I was considerably better with the Nano. She loves her LC9, so that works ou...t nicely. The Nano will compete with my LCP as my primary pocket pistol. The Nano conceals well in a pant or jacket pocket. Buds was great, again. Nano shipped and arrived quickly. For the nano itself, it is a very nice firearm for concealed carry. It came with two magazine, the flush 6 round and an extended 8 round. I did a quick clean and l...ube and took it to my range with a variety of ammo. I can happily report I put 150 rounds of a mix of 115gr and 124gr without I single issue of any kind. The weapon was delivered quickly by Buds and was in perfect shape at transfer. Only issue was it only came with an 8 round magazine. Called Buds and they were very helpful, they called Beretta for me and I was able to ge...t a new 6 round magazine mailed out. I was also able to find one locally so when the order comes from Beretta I will have three mags for the pistol. Fits great in a Desantis pocket holster I already had. Field stripped was pretty easy although I generally do not like to have to use a tool of some sort to take down a pistol. Would give a range report but that cost about $1.99 a round to fire 9mm. Took this to the range tonight, shot 110 rounds through this and I had seven extraction problems. I had three boxes of ammo and they all occurred during firing the second box of ammo, so I'm hoping it was an ammo problem.... Not sure yet but this is my only major complaint. It feels great in the hand and looks slick though! Make sure to tighten your sights down before you shoot, mine were loose and I didn't realize it before firing, popped right out. Tightened them and fixed it easily. I'm giving this 4 stars as I'm not 100{aaafff0f99379fd0d29b2cc6bec76407d160a9e255c29dd05a6eb2fef9d78482} sure what caused my malfunctions. more

    magazine drop?
My Nano has 300 rounds through it now and only one magazine has had an FTE, in fact two. They went together probably because i loaded the magazine wrong? Huh? I had to use all three hands to hold the slide open and push ...the emerging round back down the inserted magazine. Well, I think it was my fault because the ammo was Speer Lawman 147 grain. (About rounds 110-115 out of 300.) The other kinds of ammo were 115 or 124 or 147 grain and caused no problems at all. All were FMJ rounds. more

Bud's did their usual great job but I'm not sure I love the Nano. It does everything its supposed to do but I can't get used to the trigger. It's a bit heavy with a very long pull. There is a lot to love about this gun and I like it being chambered in a 9mm (even though all the 9mm ammo is currently gone). The Nano is small, but it certainly is not as light as the Bodyguard 380. But the way the nos...e is chamfered and there are no protrusions on the gun mean that you can rest assured it will not snag as you draw it from inside a pocket, waistband, etc. That is a great feature. Plus I like the added stopping power over a .380 ACP. My nano came with one six-round magazine and one eight-round magazine. The eight-round magazine is the way to go as it provides two more bullets (+) AND it gives your pinky something to grip (++). First time I fired it, used 124 gr American Bullets and I had three (3) FTEs. I am really hoping it was not me limp-wristing it. I had heard that this could happen with a new Nano (or weaker ammo), so I grabbed some +124 gr +p ammo (PDX1) and ran 20 rounds through issues. I then ran 50 rounds of 124 gr American Eagle (read somewhere it was the preferred ammo of the Nano...through reviewers personal experience) and I again had zero issues. I am going to try some cheaper 115 gr ammo next time and see how she likes it. The one odd thing about this gun that I am not used to is that there is no slide lock lever. Why? Because it could protrude and snag on your pants pocket...remember, VERY smooth gun on the outside. So the only way to lock the slide back is to insert an empty magazine into the Nano and rack the slide. At that point, you can remove the slide and the slide will remain locked open. Again, never had a gun that had this feature and it takes a while getting used to. FYI...the manual states: "The extended use of +P or +P+ ammunition may decrease component part service life expectancy." There it is...WORD FOR WORD from the Beretta Nano manual. This is one reason I bought the gun and I carry PDX1 +p in one mag and Buffalo Bore +p+ (both 124 gr) in the other mag. Using it in a life threatening situation does not constitute "extended use" in my book. more

I picked up my new Nano today at Cabela's. It may be a bit premature to give it 5 stars since I haven't fired it. However it feels great and, to my surprise, it came with an extra "extended" grip magazine. Base...d on the YouTube reviews I've watched, this was not the case previously. Solid & Dependable
I have read many reviews from all around about the Beretta Nano. Those, mostly positive, reviews are one of the many reasons for choosing it. This is about my tenth purchase from Buds and as always everything was smooth sailing. As for the Nano, this is a very high quality firearm. Its smaller than I expected, which is a good thing. I am also pretty accurate w...ith it, another nice surprise. I expected two six round magazines, but mine came with one six rounder and one eight rounder which has an extention for the pinky. The six round mag is obviously better for concealment, but I shoot better with the extended magazine. I prefer DA/SA hammer fired guns over DA only striker fired, so the trigger seems a little long and heavy to me. But with no safety that's to be expected. And it really didn't take me long to get used to the long pull. Overall I was looking for a dependable cc pistol, the Nano is that and more. In my opinion, the best 9mm pocket pistol out there. more

Purchased my Nano from Buds. Best price. Smooth and fast shipment. When I first shot the Nano I had a few failures to eject, I can't remember the exact number but it was enough to generate some frustration. Took it home,... cleaned it ( again ) and followed some advice I read in a forum on the internet; Polished the feed ramp, chamber, magazine guides with a Dremel and polishing compound. Not a lot, just a bit. Went back to the range with 115 and 124 shot 50 rounds of both and none of the issues reappeared. So I now feel a lot better about my purchase. Would an extended break in do the same thing, I don't know, probably. The Nano is solidly built, I once owned a Kahr CW9 and there is no comparison. The chassis of the Nano is a much better build and I feel that the gun will outlast me. Trigger is a bit stiff, at first, but it has loosened up and it is a long pull but very predictable. I like it. more

First of all, 5 stars for Buds, another flawless transaction!!! The Nano feels good and was very accurate for a gun this size. I am giving this 4 stars because it is picky about what ammo to use. I had several FTE with B...lazer Brass 115 gr FMJ RN. I switched to Federal 115 gr and never had that problem again. So unlike my PX4's which will fire anything you feed it, you have to be selective on what you load. Before I use this as my primary CCW, I will have to fire many more rounds to ensure a 100{e1a6b4a868f9a4c3717cb5c19b5d54bd2b2ff01335b517fc93b6f49ee0525694} operation. I will say that this is a very good shooting handgun for its size. I will just need to earn the confidence for the reliablitly of the Nano. Just a side note on the ammo, I would have never bought the Blazer Brass Ammo, but during these times of the ammo shortages, this was all I could find. more

Beretta 9mm Nano Micro Compact Redefines CCW
Beretta really nailed this 9mm micro compact carry! It's under 1" in width, sporting a 3" barrel. It's extremely accurate & what's better, for such a shorty, recoil is surprisingly soft, permitting a faster... target re-acquisition. This is a striker fire semi & as most, uses a DAO trigger. Berretta Nano
OK let's be honest here folks.... just like one other person reviewed, this gun was designed for CC and some of you keep talking about the low end range ammo having FTE. UUUMMM do any of you read reviews on items before buy them? EVERY review board i looked at regarding this weapon states that some cheap grade 115 grain ammo will cause FTE....with that being said, it's simple: if you want this to be a reliable weapon then shot a higher grain ammo and you will quickly be impressed! I have passed well over 600 rounds through my Nano so far using 124 grain FMJ and JHP and guess what? NOT A SINGLE FTE...the gun works flawlessly!!! EVERYTIME! so in a nutshell: Use 124 grain for target ammo and self defense and you will be just fine!! more

    Beretta NANO 9
I am a small framed person and it is hard to conceal a large frame pistol. I saw the Beretta and it looked more to my size. When I first shot it, it worked fine on the UMC ammo but then it jammed. I started using RT9115 ...which is a little hotter load and no problems with it jamming. I did buy a rubber grip for it because you can only hold it with 2 fingers on the grip. It gave me more feel of control of the pistol. The recoil isn't as bad as I thought it would be even with using hotter loads. Have shot it 7 yards with no problems. Easy to break down and clean. Will get another one when my wife is ready to take the class for conceal and carry. Have already told others about the NANO 9! more

    Beretta Nano
I purchased the Beretta Nano as my CCW. It is a great, accurate little shooter. I have no complaints, other than I feel it is a little too big for pocket carry. However, it is excellent for IWB.So far, I have put 150 rou...nds of Winchester 115 Grain FMJ, 50 rounds of Blazer 125 Grain FMJ and 12 rounds of Fiocchi Extrema 147 Grain JHP. 212 rounds and it has worked flawlessly. 0 FTE's.I recommend it to anyone who is looking for powerful, concealable, protection. more

Out of the box reliability. I put 200 rounds of federal "American Eagle" 124 grain FMJ through her, followed by 80 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124 grain plus P (short barrel). Not a single malfunction. This is now my new ca...rry weapon. Low recoil, accurate, and reliable. All I need in a off-duty weapon. more

This was my first purchase from Buds and it went very well. The Nano is a great little pistol. I have only fired 107 rounds so far but all were flawless. I used PMC 124gr FMJ and Winchester PDX1 JHP. Recoil is very mild ...and follow up shots are much easier than with my LCR .38. Looks to be a very well made, good quality firearm. It felt better to me than the Kahr CM9 that I compared it to. It seems the earlier issues with FTE have been fixed but as I said, I have only fired 107 rounds so far and no 115gr ammo which seemed to cause the failures. more

The first time I shot my new Nano, I was pleasantly surprised. The weapon is extremely well built and aesthetically pleasing. The operation could not have been simpler. The handling is firm and precise. The recoil is rea...lly low for this size and caliber. Finally, the Nano is very easy to take apart and clean. All in all, I cannot recommend this weapon enough! more

I picked up the Nano this morning. After a field strip and cleanin I t00k it out inn the pasture where my range is set up and ran 75 mixed rounds through it. This is my first plastic gun and my first double action. All of... my pistols are 1911 style single actions and all my revolvers are single actions. At 15 yards shooting at a couple of beer cans I was only hitting about half of the time. I had a Sig 238 in my pocket and pulled it out and connected every time. So I tried the Nano again and began to improve. I moved to 24 yards and was even more accurate. With practice on the trigger the Nano will become a lot more accurate. It loaded, shot and ejected all rounds perfectly, has good fit and finish and seems to be completely reliable. I will continue to practice with the D.A. trigger and willl become completely comfortable with it. All and all I am completely happy with this pistol. It won't replace any Colts or Kimbers but I think it will serve it's intended purpose very well. I highly recommend it. more

    Perfect defensive handgun
The Nano is very easy to conceal, but shoots like a much larger pistol. I was surprised at how little muzzle rise there is. I've shot larger sub-compact pistols that were heavier but had more felt recoil. The trigger pul...l is long, as is the norm with striker-fired guns, but it feels light and is very crisp. So far I've not had a single failure of any kind, with a variety of ammunition, and this little gem is much more accurate than it needs to be. more

Very accurate and easy to conceal with a holster. It weighs .57 oz more than a Ruger LC9 but its looks much smaller overall. It's becoming my favorite carry gun. Not giving 5 stars beacuse the price went down since I bou...ght mine and I don't think Crimson Trace makes a laser for it yet. I'd recommend this gun to any looking for a small 9mm. more

After shooting 300+ rds through it, 115gr remington fmj, 115gr blazer fmj, 115gr federal fmj, 147gr winchester jhp, 124gr remington jhp, 124gr reload fmj, 115gr reload hornady xtp... had 2 failures to eject. One with my ...fmj reloads and the other with my xtp reloads. I'll admit, when I reload, I'm usually going for quantity. These 2 batches that I took to the range qualify in the quantity ( not quality) category. The grip is very short due to the heavy slide and larger trigger guard. You can get 2 fingers on it, that's it. It shoots well for such a small pistol. I bought this after having a PF9 and a PT709. I'm glad I made the switch and spent the extra money on the Nano. It's good quality and a good, reliable shooter. My concealed needs demand as small a pistol as possible and this fills the bill, even better with no protrusions that can get in the way or gouge you. Plus they're now $20 cheaper than they were when I bought mine just 8 short days ago. Wonderful..... It's amazing how the internal parts keep disappearing in these semi-autos. Anyway, buy it. You won't regret it as long as you're aware of the true size of it and the grip. more

    Not My Favorite
I purchased the Nano for it's size. Mine is quite picky with ammo. The trigger is so heavy it is hard not to pull to the right when shooting. Due to the short grip it feels clumsy in your hand. So with that said it fits ...a purpose in an emergency. But I would not depend on it. more

Great pocket pistol, quaility is there. This is no Kel-Tec, etc., Beretta did a great job with this one, I stake my life and the safety of my family on this pistol every day, that should say it all. I couldn't do that any other brand in this price point! more

Excellent CCW and Home Defense Pistol
This semi automatic pistol from Beretta has been flawless right out of the box. It has fed every type of 9mm ammunition including the 115 grain cheap Herter brand. The sights are the three dot variety and are very fast t...o quickly get a good sight picture. Best of all it is made here in the good ole USA! Overall I am very impressed with the Nano. more

I have to say I really liked the compact style of the nano. At first I was worried it would be a little knuckle buster, but it shoots smooth. Went thru 200+ rounds the first day no jams. No misfires. all around great gun.... more

Well Bud's had a bit of an issue with not ever updating this item to shipped and providing me with a tracking number all that aside let us review the gun (still says shipping in website). This pistol is everything I had ...hoped for and more. 1. It is built like a tank and has the refinement that is known from Beretta. 2. I fired 200 wally world 115 gr. federal 9mm and 135 gr. hydra shocks; no failures of any kind. (cleaned/lubed it before use) 3. Sights are very nice, trigger is amazing, recoil is a joke (22ish), 4. Pocket carries very easily even in an uncle mike's crap holster (with levi jeans), will be upgrading the holster soon though. 5. My 11 year old son fired multiple magazines one/two handed with 135 gr. defensive ammo but he did not like the DAO trigger but he was accurate. I loved the DAO trigger pull (short and crisp). He prefers single action triggers, probably because he is 11 and short weaker fingers. 6. Internals of the firearm are very high quality, the recoil spring particularly is impressive. more

Perhaps you have read of the Nanos failure to extract on some of the websites.I have been shooting for well over 60 years. I have bought and sold more than I can think of. Today I took my Nano to the range and fired 4 di...fferent types of ammo from fmj to jhp bullets. Tullamo to Federal to Remington. I will tell you I was very impressed with the Nano. It did not malfunction in the least. Everything chambered and EXTRACTED perfectly.Accuracy was more than accceptable out to 15 yards offhand. If you are looking at the Nano stop. Buy it. more

    Beretta Nano - Issues
Shot over 300 rounds of various makes of inexpensive 115-grain ammo - 6 failures to extract. No problems with Blazer aluminum case & heavier ammo. FTE's more difficult to resolve since this handgun has no slide lock....Overall feels good in the hand, recoil very manageable, accurate, fun to shoot, quick followup shots.Note: Many "reviews" mention 17+ ounce weight (per Beretta website) - but actual weight is 20+ ounces empty (same as a baby Glock - clunkier, but which has more capacity).Perhaps too heavy for pocket carry - ? reliability for personal defense. Will try different ammo. more

    Great little gun
I took this little gun to the range and shot a variety of ammo.I shot WPA 115 FMJ and it shot fine.It ate 124 grain American eagle,147 grain American eagle,And Magtech 115 Grain all in FMJ.The recoil was not bad at all.F...elt very comfortable.I was shooting 6 inch groups towards the end at 40 feet. This will be my carry gun.I have not shot in twelve years. This is only my second semi auto pistol. It's a keeper. The guys at the range looked at it and never seen one before. They thought it was a cool little gun.Liked the feel and weight.Just my two cents. more

    Beretta nano review
Brand new out of the box the gun failed to extract Winchester target ammo about every 4th round. When the gun failed to extract the magazine continued to try to load a new round into the chamber. I thought it might have ...been due to maybe using new magazines so I loaded them with only 3-4 rounds each and it didn't make a difference. No failures to extract using Hornady zombie ammo though. Gave me hesitations about reliability. more

    It Serves Its Purpose
Let's start with what the Nano is. It is a easily concealable 9mm that is made for the CC market. It's slim line and nothing to catch during a concealed draw, make it a solid choice for consideration in this market.
