First off I am a woman and this is my first time purchasing a gun in my entire life. I went to take a beginners gun class and I brought my own gun. After class I stayed behind to shoot the gun. The instructor loved my gu...n so much he even asked to try it out! I said sure every shot was accurate! After shooting it himself he said the gun was accurate as h-e- double hockey sticks and he loves it! I guess that says everything ladies buy the gun you won’t be upset! more
this is a very nice gun, I love the safey on it and the hammer, you know when it is ready to fire,it shoot very good first time out shoot 150 round know jams are stove pipe, so I would but again if needed, price is not b...ad ,just a great gun to carry, more
Store to range
Those of you who try to do a review of a gun from the store to the range and complain of jamming issues, trigger stiffness, need to understand that some guns need to be lubed up and have some rounds put down range before... being ready to carry or even review. so don’t sell your new gun or get upset. Lube, fire several hundred 124g through it, clean it again fire another several hundred rounds then review and make your decision. Enjoy. more
Bought this as my CC and love it. I have put over 1000 rounds thru this already and not one issue. Let my wife try this and that was a big mistake, now she wants her own. She handles this very well and also wants this as... her CC. Beretta was spot on with this gun. more
Got rid of my Glock, just wasn't as accurate as the Beretta Px4C. Hand's down the Px4 series of pistols are absolutely reliable and dependable and without a doubt accurate. I find the double/single action suits... me better, I find it much more accurate than Glock or S&W in my hands. After 1000rds of pretty much every brands of ammo, no failure at all... Surpassed Glock and S&W in reliability and even better accuracy. Best long lasting firearm you can buy. Just because a firearm manufacturer has tons of after market parts does not in the least makes it better."G"k more
I just bought this and ran appx 120 rounds with zero issues. Reloads and hollow points. All fed and ejected with out any problems. I own several pistols ranging from 1911's through striker fired weapons. This is the... best of them all. Very crisp trigger pull and very, very accurate. Even though I am used to cocked and locked , I am just dumfounded at how well this weapon performs. No doubt, it will become my everyday carry weapon. It's just that smooth. The DA/SA was not a problem for me. more
love it - smooth and dependable
had for a couple years - have put about 500-600 rounds through it. Very few hicups unless using lacquer coated steel ammo when it was new or if someone doesn't hold tight enough to cycle it properly (I believe it...39;s called limp wristing). Got one 20 round mag for it recently so have 50 rounds total before having to reload at the range. easy to keep track of amount of shooting that way. I like the versions with just the de-cocker, but will not modify this one since it is mostly a range gun and I like to know it is on safe when on the bench or in the safe. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for home defense if need be. I had hoped with the rotating barrel it would have less perceived recoil, but I really can't tell the difference - but it's only a 9mm so not terrible but was hoping for use as a training tool it would reduce it more than it does. Maybe on the full size version it's more noticeable. more
Beretta PX4 Storm
I have one for 1 year and I love it. Shoots straight feels good easy to use. I carry this handgun and love to use it for target practice. The gun feel well made by it's weight.
The Ferrari of Fire Arms.
I picked up this gem yesterday and took her out to the range today and WOW! this thing is a joy to shoot. Ran cheap and high-end ammo through this thing and not one issue (200 rounds) My Ruger is now relegated to back up... and the PT111 is a truck gun. Academy sales team was great! more
Very light recoil
I have several different hand guns but this is my new favorite for cc. This eats up all cheap ammo i have put through it. I don't know about the higher priced ammo because I haven't shoot any yet. My sister had... never shot a firearm before and this made her want to get one. more
I bought the px4 compact aa week ago and took it out to the range yesterday. I broke down and cleaned the gun. I had 400 rounds to shoot. I started with Remington 115 grain. I shot from 25 yards to sight it in. I shot on...e 15 round clip and all 15 were grouped in a 3.75 circle, 10 rounds were in less than. A 2.5 circle. The gun is very accurate and the sights are spot on. The gun is easy to break down, clean and put back together. Now the problem. After one clip the gun started to jam after every two shot it wasn't having the power to feed into the barrel. I had brought some p+ ammo and had no problem with the gun jamming so I am thinking it's the ammo. Well it wasn't the ammo. I broke down the gun and it was pretty bone dry so oiled the parts put it back together and went back to the 115 grain ammo. I fired over 250 more rounds without a flaw. The gun works great , just make sure you have oiled all the important parts well and work the slide so all parts are covered and you will have no problem with this gun. It is the most accurate well balance gun I have shot. Very little recoil, sights in quickly after each shot and grouping was always spot on. I will carry it as my conceal once I put another 200 rounds through it. I carry it in a outside holster and it sits tight to my hip at the 4 o'clock position and have no discomfort. Hope this review helps. If I get the next 200 rounds shot without a problem then I would give the px4 -a 5 stars. more
I have had this pistol for about 6 months and it is a grat compact.
Have had this gun for 20+ years. Reliable, fits like a glove, accurate, shoots like a dream, concealable, when carried on my belt holster it is so comfortable I forget it is there.
Makes you a better shooter
I have to say this is one of the best compact 9mm pistols available anywhere. It is ergonomic, comfortable in the hand, felt recoil low, the slide is easy to rack for smaller person or a woman, and for some reason I shoo...t better with this. I am decent shot, and have a few Walther's and M&P's but this is as the other reviewer said is the Ferrari of pistols (my PPQ is the Porsche of Pistols and my HK is the Mercedes of Pistols) more
love this gun
I bought this gun about 6 months ago and put close to 1500 rounds through it. I have not had a single jam or malfunction of any kind. 7 yards dead center. 12 yards center give or take an inch. 17 yards center give or tak...e 1.5 inch. I'm not the best shot around but this gun is easy to shoot and very accurate. Also simple to dis assemble and clean. perfect for beginners. more
The Ferrari of pistols
I purchased this jewl about a week ago. And I must admit I was almost a little skeptical having done so much research and getting some mixed reviews. I couldn't be happier, my first concern is, will it operate every... time I pull the trigger. And after putting it through the most brutal variety of cheap ammo (about 250 rounds) I can honestly say I trust it for carry. Despite it being a little thick I've carried it for a week and it's much more comfortable that what I had thought. Beretta made this gun different, and boy did they do that. Just the looks of it, you can tell, the lines, the shape, the functions, every thing about this gun is different and I am a fan, never owning a beretta before, I can say that I will be owning more. more
Love my new Beretta Storm Compact 9mm Pistol!
Bought my first pistol this year and am very happy with my purchase. Had contemplated purchasing the full size and the subcompact as well. I'm glad I didn't purchase the full size because the compact size fully... loaded with bullets is as heavy pistol as I want to hold. Have used Winchester (FMJ and JHP) and Remington (JHP) bullets at range with no problems. more
i wanted a pistol I could count on and this is it. Have shot over 1000 rounds through this gun and have had zero issues or problems...... Even with the cheap ammo. I know I can count on this gun.
I just bought the Storm Compact in a 9mm and I am impressed. I have been shooting off and on all my life and have never had a hand gun that I liked more than this one. At first it felt "top heavy" but once at t...he range and a very few rounds getting used to it, the weight of the gun minimized recoil and allowed me to get back on target quickly. As most double stacks, it is a little large for a conceal carry but I will probably carry it anyway. At 7, 10 and 20 yards this gun put a round exactly where I aimed, and I'm no marksman! Great gun and many features for the price. After shooting it, I went home and threw rocks at my S&W. Check this little jewel out. more
I bought the 9mm and could not believe what a beautiful gun this is too shoot. Nicest hand gun Ive shoot. Very smooth trigger pull, very accurate with minimal effort, nothing to it as far as the recoil is concerned. Very... fast action with no issues what so ever emptying a full mag. I conceal carry with an outside the waist band holster. Its a little thick due to the double stacked mag but Ive got big hands and it fits my grip perfectly. Love the drop down front end of the Beretta mags. I like it so much I bought another one for the house. Very easy gun for my wife to shoot, easy to quickly aim, and the extra rounds make it easy to hit what she's aiming at. She's left handed so I raged it so that the mag release is on the right side of hers. Very good way to the two the two apart as mine is set up for right hand mag release. Additionally I think that a very nice looking gun. Love my PX4's! more

Had this pistol now 2 years, as good as the day I bought it. Carry every day.
super great gun, even for a woman!
I bought this gun a couple of months ago. It took a little bit to get use to the initial trigger pull, but was very easy after the first pull. I love the way it fits my smaller hands. Not too bulky for me. I haven't... put but about 75 rounds down the pipe, but look forward to getting to shoot again soon. Shoots very accurately. However, it does not really like cheap ammo. but hey me neither. I want to know I am shoot something that will do what it is intended to do, in the first place. :) I hope to be able to buy another one soon, to be able to keep one in the car/purse/on me and one at the house at all times. more
Fun to shoot
After looking for a store that had the Px4 compact in a 40 caliber for months I finally found it at on the opening day of Academy Sports! To add to my excitement it was cheaper than the web price. PROS: The ability to ch...ange out the back straps makes this gun adjustable to your personal liking. Large, well marked 3 dot sights are very visible. Trigger pull in single action is light and the reset is very noticeable, double action pull comfortable because of the trigger curve and smoothness of material. The mag and slide releases are another well designed element of the gun. Both are well placed and easy to work. CONS: The gun itself is a bit bulky, I am not sure if I will conceal carry this one as I am not a big guy. Compared to my Ruger SR40 full size, it is slightly heavier. I would not have expected this in a compact version. The safety is a not as easy to utilize quickly like the Mag release. The upward rotation of the thumb to work it is not as pleasant as a quick button push from the thumb and trigger finger. OVERALL: This is a fun gun to shoot and is very accurate. Since the single action reset is so defined this gun can be fired very rapidly. It may take some testosterone control to keep the ammo budget in check! I gave it a 4 overall because of the bulk of the gun for a compact and the design of the safety. more
Not a Fan
My daughter and I tried this one at the range and we both did not like the trigger pull. Felt like you had no control over it.
Bought it this gun for my wife yesterday. Gun performed really well with just a slight issue on jamming on cheap 9mm ammo, put 200 rounds right out of the box and its very accurate and easy to shoot. Love this gun, gonna... buy one for my daughter now. more
Great fit and feel
So far have put only about 100 rounds through it, but it's very accurate, smooth shooting, easy to field strip. Nice that for its size it can hold 15+1. First time the mag are a bit stiff to load, but it comes with ...a speedloader to help with that. more
My favorite weapon
I purchased a PX-4 compact in January of 2018. The weapon has been my everyday carry. The said weapon has performed flawlessly with not a single misfire of any kind. It is a very accurate fire arm. Wish I could find one ...chambered in 40 cal. in the sub compact version. I trust this weapon with my life every day. You wont be sorry with this particular weapon. Remember preserve you Second Amendment rights. more
I have had this gun for over a year and have been nothing but thrilled with it. No malfunctions, no issues, and beautiful craftsmanship. It is rare to fund a gun that is as good looking as it is functional but this does ...it. I replaced the factory safety with a 92fs style safety and its perfect. Highly recommend. more
I bought my PX$ in 45 caliber about 10 years ago and I've never had a problem except for finding holsters. It's performed flawlessly with all kinds of ammunition, even shot shells which I carry in the chamber for snakes.... It has cycled every time and never misfired. great fit and low recoil. more
My favorite pistol
This is a great pistol. It’s reliable, dependable. What more could you ask for ?
Best Gun Ever
This was my first gun. This is the best gun I have. It feels solid, extremely accurate. No recoil. I love the design.
Have had the px4 storm compact since June and this baby is awesome! Accurate, reliability - put over 2000 rounds and never a misfire. Had to put Talon grips made a big improvement. Also replaced to standard sights for Tr...ijicon night sights. And Aliengear for my iwb and owb holsters...fits like a glove! 2 thumbs up Beretta!! more
I’ve bought my px4 storm compact in March & this baby is awesome. Put in 1500 rounds and hasn’t misfired! Excellent ergonomics. First DA/SA gun and frankly after a while it isn’t a big deal. Added Talon grips &...amp; Trijicon night sights to complete my ccw perfection! 2 thumbs up Beretta!! more
Definitely Growing On Me
Prior to purchasing I was warned it was a bit heavy and pulled a bit. But I liked the grip and the feel so I have it. the more I put through it, the more I like it and the more comfortable I am with it. The weight become...s nothing and you grow used to anything. I recommend the full size PX4 Storm. more
Contortes to your hand beautifully, 40cal
This is the best gun I've ever purchased love it!!
I own & carry this firearm
I have had it for about 5 years now (mine is the .40S&W full frame - 14+1). I absolutely love this firearm. It's like an extension of my hand. Supremely accurate; cycles well & hasn't jammed yet (hopefully didn't... just jinx myself!); recoil manageable. I went with the full frame simply because I wanted the capacity but I won't hesitate to get either the compact or sub-compact version once I have the moolah again. I will suggest to not use Kydex holsters, though. At least not the Fobus paddle holsters. Mars the finish. Stick w/tried and true leather holsters. more
Oh, So Sweet....
Purchased from Cabelas around a month ago. Have run 300 rounds of Win WB and a few magazines full of Speer 124g Gold Dots with no malfunctions. Impressively accurate, DA smooth/light, crisp light SA and a very nice reset.... Perfect size/config for IWB CCW. It's just awesome. Nicely done Ernest and Beretta. Don't think I've ever enjoyed a pistol as much as this one. more
Great gun, small frame. Great carry conceal. Stylish. I have over 6 guns, and I love this one the best
Review: Two years later
Wrote a review on the Beretta PX 4 Storm Full size two years ago and thought it was doomed to become a boat anchor. Fortunately my experience and review has improved significantly since then. I changed the original sight...s to an adjustable set, shot a LOT of ammo, and can now say it is the best handling and most accurate .40 in the gun case. The recoil is noticeably less than the typical 'snappy' personality of this caliber. Impressively, there has not been a hangup or malfunction yet to date. The bulkiness helps me keep a steady aim and balance, but its profile is not a suitable CCW for most body frames.. In sum, I am pleased to join the many others that have a five-star adventure with this firearm and would now recommend it be on your list of potential list if looking for such an item. more
PX4 Compact Carry
I can't speak for the regular PX4 compact or the subcompact but the Langdon Compact Carry is an awesome pistol. The mechanical differences- stealth levers, competition trigger group, and front night sight make this gun a... joy to carry and shoot. The DA trigger is long but not too heavy and very smooth. The SA is light and crisp. The rotating barrel design gives a noticeable reduction in perceived recoil. Follow up shots/double taps are quick and accurate. Three 15 round mags included with this version and contrary to some internet reports, it does not come with 3 mag release buttons. Only the tall button comes on the gun. My only complaint would be the cheapo plastic case Beretta provides. If you are looking for an excellent DA/SA pistol for concealed carry you won't be disappointed. more
Buy Something Else
Purchased a px4 compact in 9mm. First time I took it to the gun range, the pin holding the hammer assembly backed out and it all tried to come out the back of the slide after three rounds. I love Cabelas but I would look... at other pistols. more
I love this gun
Out of 5 or so guns I have purchased this year, the storm is my favorite. It shoots straight right out of the box, it "feels" good in your hand, very low recoil and the spring is a bit lighter so even my wife c...an rack it without a problem. I would buy another in a heartbeat. more
Great carry weapon
This is a great carry weapon. I carried it all week long while bird hunting it was a pleasure to have and very comfortable. I like shooting the weapon and was a great experience for me.
My First Handgun
I went to "visit" this pistol several times before finally purchasing. After being told numerous times that maybe I should try something smaller for my first handgun, I always came back to the PX4 Storm Compact... because it just felt right! It feels good in my hand. I can grip it and hold it comfortably. I took it out today for the 2nd time...don't think I did too bad for a beginner. (target image below) more
Really got this for my gf to use for home protection for when I am away. She love how it fit in her hand plus
For my first handgun, it is amazing. I have already put over 600 rounds through it without a single problem. Beretta now has a customer for life.
Subcompact ejection issue
I got a .40 PX Storm subcompact a few months ago. Really a great pistol. The only issue I have had is the magazine began failing to eject after the magazine emptied and the chamber is empty. This started after several hu...ndred rounds using three different Beretta mags. The RSO's who worked with me felt it was a mag issue and I am not that cognizant of the mechanicsI so I contacted customer service and Beretta had it picked up for a look-see. I left it in the failed position so they could see the issue first hand. I felt the gun was pretty accurate and anything off target was due to my old shaky hands or jerking the trigger rather than a nice squeeze, but after seeing some of the comments about low left (where mine seemed to alway go) I will give that another look when I get it back. more
Nice pistol, nice fit
Having large hands it has been difficult to find a semi-auto that fits. With the optional large backstrap installed the PX4 Compact fits perfectly. It has great balance in the hand, and is a snappy compact. It took a bit... of time to make the transition from my full size semi-auto, but it has proven itself to be a reliable, accurate self-defense weapon. I find it easy to control, readily returning to original aim point after each shot. I am able to shoot rapid fire groups in the 2 1/2 range right out of the box. My wife even prefers it to her pistol, so I guess it will be back to the gun counter to make her happy as well. more
PX4 Storm Compact Nice Handgun
Bought the PX4 Storm 9mm Compact for my wife. She loves it. Shoots well with it. It was her first handgun and once she got used to shooting she has had no problems with the gun. Nice and Smooth.
PX4 Subcompact 9mm: NOT Reliable
Put about 700 round through it, first 350 went fine, now it is experiencing multiple double feeds, failure to go into battery etc. Also, one of the magazines was defective out of the box, needed to be modified per Berett...a instructions. Overall, very unsatisfied, will be contacting Beretta customer service. Hopefully, they fix the issue. May be ammo related as I used 115 grain, it may only like 124 or 147 grain but either way I do not want this in my collection for very long. more
Iv'e put about 250 rounds through my Px4 Storm 9mm full size. It shoots so Incredibly Smooth hard to believe !Great Feel in hand , light recoil ,it came with 2, 17 shot mags there's 10 , 20 as well . Im thinking of getti...ng the compact for carry ,, excellent gun fit, finish, Quality. more
Fantastic .40 cal handgun (all 3 versions)
Over the last year I have purchase all 3 varieties of the Px4 chambered in the .40 S&W. I have had the other "brick" guns over the years and these handguns are really in a different league. Not saying bette...r, but just very different. My switch to the Beretta was out of wanting something a bit more "exotic" than the usual guns out there. Sort of like comparing an Italian and German sports car. Both good and also very, very different. Also, one of my requirements is to have a safety on the gun. After experiencing a accidental discharge several years ago (long story), this is now a must on any gun that I carry concealed. The Px4 Full and Compact have a rotary barrel that really helps soften the sting of .40 as well as make the gun VERY accurate. The attached photo is my 21st shot out of the Px4 Compact at the range (the first 20 were to get the gun sighted in). Keep in mind that I am not the best shot but the 1st shot of this round I landed in the 10 ring at 30 feet. I am still grinning. The Full sized version is also as accurate. In some of the reviews I had seen some issues with reliability. In my first session with the full size version, I did have some FTF issues. However, after some research, these guns like to run wet, especially around the rotating barrel and the associated cam. I went with some high end gun grease where the barrel and cam meet and now zero failures after about 1000 rounds.I purchased the Sub-Compact version as a summer carry as the PX4's in general are somewhat larger guns. While the length and height are in line with other varieties, the gun is a bit wide. The Sub-Compact is a bit shorter and stubbier and makes for a very nice summer carry weapon. The only BIG difference is this model uses the usual tilting barrel versus the rotating one of the larger models. It is not quite as accurate or as forgiving regarding recoil. However, it is still very, very manageable. In general I can fire 200 rounds in the larger size versions and could keep going (if could afford the ammo). On the Sub-Compact about 50-75 rounds I start to feel some fatigue from the recoil. Now, why own all 3 versions? Simple. They all have the same trigger, safety and overall feel. I mean the trigger is EXACTLY the same feel, pull and break. One of the most consistent triggers across models that I have ever seen. I am now a fan of Beretta triggers and out of the box is near perfect. Very nice initial double action and extremely nice single action followup shots. Other than some variations on felt recoils, the guns feel exactly the same. I can practice with any one gun and the muscle memory will transfer to all 3 equally even though very different size guns.I highly recommend the Px4 and if I had to choose just one, I would go with the compact version in the middle as it "is just right". more
PX4 Storm Review
I did a lot of research online before making this purchase. Since the purchase, I have shot about 200 rounds though is so far, and I am very pleased. The Default Med. Grip fit me like a glove and even if it didn’t it ca...me with two other grip sizes. The thing shoots like a dream, very low recoil for a .40 caliber (first time shooting I had tight grouping) It is breeze to take apart and clean. It has many safety features. The Double action trigger a bit long but the single action was nice . I bought it for a good priceThe only thing I did not like was that it does take a little effort to rack the slide. I understand its a 40 caliber but it’s a bit stiff I guess it’s a trade off for the light felt recoilAll in all I would highly recommend the PX4 Storm to anyone looking for a low recoil 40 cal. I like my 40 so much I’m looking at the PX4 Storm in 9mm . more
Follow Up- Subcompact 9 mm
Couldn't wait a year, this time. Got the subcompact 9mm and am just as impressed, or more so, with its performance. Shoots smoothly and almost as accurate as my 92FS or PX4 45! More concealable and a wonderful CCW. Has a... Snapgrip extender on one magazine for a "full grip" with beefier hands. (Ordered another so I would have them on both!) I can't say enough about this pistol. This one is American made (as opposed to my Italian made 45). 13 rounds in a small package. Not having the rotating barrel gives it a little more kick but reacquisition of target is quick. Great for concealed carry with some punch! more
Fantastic 45 - WOW
I bought this pistol, a year ago, from the fine folks at the Rapid City SD store. Have owned a 92FS for 20 years and wanted a little more punch. I first saw this pistol in a movie and was struck by its innovative look. D...id my research and decided to give it a try. WOW!!! First time at the range and it, flat out, amazed me. With the rotating barrel, the perceived recoil was no more than my 9mm 92FS. I'm not a world class shot but was shooting decent groups on my first go. I waited the year, before reviewing, to see how happy I'd be after the "newness" wore off. Man, am I happy with this pistol. Couple thousand rounds and it's still my favorite. OK for winter concealed but I need something smaller. Never fear...I've decided to pick up the Subcompact PX4 in 9mm for daily carry. Thank you Pietro Beretta! more
I purchased the PX4 F type Compact 9mm. This gun has a great feel for me, solid, tight and good ergonomics. It's selling point for me was hammer fired, DA/SA and rotating barrel. I do not like striker fired handguns. Whe...n firing, recoil feels more controlled than other pistols of this size to me. I believe that this is a result of the moderate heft (27oz), heavier/thicker barrel and slide than the full size. Both weigh essentially the same 27oz. Don't forget....your getting a double stack if that matters, so I've compromised a little to conceal it. Shooting accuracy is good for me, I'm not an avid shooter.I purposely wanted the safety/decocker (F type) and modified the weapon for CCW quickly by converting it to a G type by purchasing the stealth levers from BrignoliArmi. It took me a short time to realize that I really don't need a safety for CCW. I absolutely love this weapon. Don't trust me or other reviews.......shoot it and decide if it's a good choice for you. more
I bought a PX4 subcompact for my wife for christmas a couple of years ago. When I shoot the gun I have had very little problem with it, but when she shoots it it jams about every other round. I watched her shoot and due ...to the fact she has small wrist the gun rises quite a bit when she shots it so I assume this causes it to jam? We took a concelled handgun class and I shot a Glock 19 and she tried to use her Beretta. I was embarresed for her because the gun was so unreliable. In fact she took my Glock and had no problems with it. So good bye Beretta hello new glock. more
My First Beretta - Love It!!!
I purchased a Beretta Px4 Storm Compact 9mm on New Year’s Eve. The moment I got it home I couldn't wait to get to the range. Today was that day, range day. I put about 500 rounds through it and it fired flawlessly. The... main reason I decided to purchase the 9mm vs the .45cal was the cost of ammo and also my children are going to learn to shoot using this gun. My 15yo son and 18yo daughter each fired a couple of 15 round clips with no complaints from either. I highly recommend this gun for someone looking for a comfortable gun to shoot for fun and home defense.• Low Recoil• Comfortable Grip• Great Looking Gun - Sexy!• VERY EASY Breakdown for Cleaning more
Love at first grip
I purchased the PX4 Storm in 9mm. This weapon has about 300 rounds through it now and has performed flawlessly. The PX4 feels proper when gripped. Weight is well balanced. I also purchased a Ramora holster which even wit...h this being a full size handgun is easy to conceal even in shorts and a tee shirt. The best part is, I purchased this weapon on the 5th of November along with a CX4 Storm also in 9mm because of the interchangeable magazines and on the 21st of November I already had my $100.00 rebate in hand. more
Good, not great
I purchased the Berretta Px4 Full Size in .40 about a year ago. Have put 1500+ rounds through her thus far. No FTE or FTL issues unless loading 10+1 (Thank you CA). You really need to slam the mag in for it to seat right.... More than with any other pistol I have had or used. In addition to the standard factory Win, Rem and A.E., I have recently tried Freedom Munitions reloads and have not had any issues. more
Excellent pistol, to handle and shoot.
Fired at the range yesterday for the first time, a dream to shoot at close range (15 feet and less.) My 1911 was much more difficult to handle, and the Baretta fired true, first shot out of the box. Using a Weaver grip, ...I actually had a hole in the center of the x ring; very comfortable, minimal recoil(certainly compared to the 1911) and a great pistol for home defense. more
I bought the PX4 in .45 and LOVE it. Since purchasing it, I have put about 500 factory loads through it with zero misfires or feed failures. I have not tried hand loaded ammo yet, but have no doubts it will perform just ...as well. Recoil as compared to my old Army issue M1911A1 is noticeably less, and more back than up. Out of the box accuracy was outstanding at 5, 10 and 25 yards. The only Con is weight. It can be quite heavy in a shoulder holster, but to be fair it IS a .45 with 10 in the mag and one in the tube! more

Ease of use, great value, light recoil
Purchased my PX4 full size, .40 S&W in December of 2013. Put 100 rounds through it on the first day, in 15 degree weather. In total, have put about 500 rounds through, with ZERO problems. This pistol is a breeze to f...ield strip, and it looks good, if looks matter. more
PX4 Storm tuff to beat
Pro: Very Accurate, lite recoil, easy field strip and cleaning, double action/single action, great looks.
A Balance of Features
Bought this after conducting research and shooting several makes and models . Since the purchase, I have shot about 300 rounds. The following is my honest assessment:Pro:Flawless shooting; no FTFs or FTEs with both comme...rcial and hand loads.Low recoil (more back than up), that allows faster follow-up shots.A breeze to take apart, clean, and reassemble. Some say this large frame pistol is ugly, but I believe it has an intimidating look that is due in part to its "chunky" or robotic profile. The changeable grips are a bonus, especially if you have small or large hands. The decocker is an enjoyable safety feature. The price is competitive and a fair market value. more
Beretta Storm PX .40
Bought this after conducting research and shooting several makes and models . Since the purchase, I have shot 300 rounds. The following is my honest assessment:
Shoots well and is easy to field strip. It has been accurate and the felt recoil is minimal to me. I do not believe it is as good as my Springfield Armory XDM but it is close.
sending back for do over, gun shoots down and to the right
This weapon is light and accurate. awesome shooting 13 yards. Awesome concealed weapon. Easy trigger and smooth recoil. A must to have for a back up weapon.
I purchased this model chambered in 9mm. It's a very nice looking gun with a futuristic kind of look to it.
Full Size PX4 45
I don't go out of my way to write many reviews. As I am someone who reads a lot of reviews before I buy anything, I have to say I love this gun. For being a full size 45 caliber pistol, it is sleek and fairly slim. I use... this gun as my CCW pistol, and I am going to be joining a shooting league fairly soon. Honestly, the recoil for a 45 is great, better than several 9mm pistols I have shot. Don't get me wrong, still a decent amount of recoil - not for those with little hand strength - but the rolling chamber on this gun pushes you back similar to a shotgun, rather than snapping upwards like normal pistols. If I had any complaint at all, it would be the fact that the first fire from this dual action pistol is a long trigger pull - but that is normal for any dual action. After that, the next 8-9 rounds (depending on which of the two magazines you're using) go smooth as butter. I have not had any load problems except when I was using reloaded cartridges (which can be normal). I have fired well over 1000 rounds through the gun, and the only time I ever had a problem was my last time out where I had 4 of the reloaded cartridges not load correctly (no worries, the chamber doesn't close all the way when this happens so you won't have a misfire). It was very simple to unload the bad cartridges, also. On top of that, cleaning this gun is a 3 minute job tops, very very simple. After a little practice, at 25 feet I can hit a grouping of about 5 inches no problem. At 30-35 feet I'm about 70%. In my opinion, that is great accuracy for a handgun. The other nice thing about this gun is the option for rail sights you can buy. The laser sights, or flashlight options are limitless for this gun. Check it out, or see if your local gun shop will let you rent one. Cabelas was by far the best price for purchase though. more
Update To My Earlier Review: Impressive!
I've had my PX4 Compacts to the range twice since my initial review a few days ago. Put another 150rds downrange and the only malfunction was a single round of cheap Winchester FMJ that refused to chamber fully which I a...ttribute to the ammo (loaded too long, I suspect). more
PX4 9mm Compact: Diamond In The Rough
I don't like the amount of muzzle rise on my SIG SP2022's (excellent, otherwise) so I searched for a more controllable alternative.I read about the PX4's rotating barrel and how it's supposed to reduce perceived recoil b...ut more research revealed divided opinions.I finally stumbled upon a couple of references about the PX4 Compact being more controllable than the PX4 Fullsize. Intrigued, off to Cabelas I went...After some handling, I came home with two PX4 9mm Compacts (I always have one for primary CCW/nightstand duty and one for training/backup).After a good cleaning/lubing, headed to the range with some cheap brass-cased ammo. 150rds later there were no malfunctions and a smile on my face! The PX4's recoil impulse is more straight-back with less muzzle rise (which I prefer) which results in faster followup shots for me.However, not everything's perfect...The grip needs more aggressive checkering to keep the pistol from moving around in the hand (this can be addressed in a number of ways), the safety/decocker is awkwardly slide-mounted, the SA trigger isn't bad but the DA trigger is decidedly inferior to the SIG's (but that didn't keep me from scoring as well the first time out with the PX4, which is encouraging). The different backstraps are more difficult to change than on other pistols.I don't care for safety/decockers on DA/SA pistols as I consider the safety superfluous with a DA first shot (most SIGs are DA/SA with a decocker but no manual safety). Fortunately, it's easy to convert the PX4 from the Type F safety/decocker model to the Type G decocker only (moving the lever decocks and safely drops the hammer but snaps back up to the "fire" position automatically instead of staying down in the "safe" position). The safety/decocker levers are rather large, it's easy to snag your fingers working the slide or doing malfunction drills. Again, there's an easy fix in the form of Beretta's "stealth" levers that are smaller, slimmer and automatically convert your Type F PX4 to the decocker-only Type G PX4.The PX4 Compact will not accept aftermarket night sights. The rear sight is fine but the front sight's dovetail leaves an open gap in the slide if you try to install standard PX4 aftermarket front sights. If you want night sights for your PX4 Compact you have to have the factory front sight drilled out to have a tritium vial inserted. Pricey, but at least it's doable.Bottom line is the PX4 Compact has some (correctable) issues but they weren't enough to keep the PX4 Compact from replacing my SIG SP2022 for CCW/nightstand duty.Rugged, reliable, accurate, a real diamond in the rough if you can live with its shortcomings.I give it 4.5 stars due to those shortcomings. more
I found the Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm to be one of the sweetest guns I have ever purchased. Ease of use, balance, and soft shooting comfort are great. It's easy to field strip and clean also. Grouping are tight and precise. ...It's also priced right. The interchangeable back straps make it easy to switch to larger or smaller hands. I would highly recommended this gun. more
Love my .45
Bought my first handgun about a year ago. I really didn't know what i wanted for sure. Just knew i wanted reliability in my handgun. I looked at the .45 PX4 and knew it was the one. I am a big guy and the interchangeable... hand gaurds are great. The gun fits perfectly in my hands. With a loaded 10 rd magazine the weight is evenly distributed. Its easy to clean. Plus that rotating barrel technology makes the amount of kick seem like nothing at all. Love the Beretta PX4 .45ACP more
Berreta 9mm px4storm
Extremely accurate and dependable. Came with an extra 13 round magazine which is a plus at the practice range. Size is a plus for CCW as this firearm can fit easily in a pocket holster. The only minus is the weight; howe...ver, in my opinion this does bolster accuracy. more
Can't find a holster
Overall the gun is very nice. Has some plastic parts that I am worried about becoming fatigued and possibly breaking or snapping under stress, however I do love this gun. One downside is that I have yet to find a holster... for everyday carry. I have visited the manufacturers website and they do not have any in stock. Off brand manufacturers seem to make holsters designed for the full size and sub compact models but does not indicate whether or not they will be compatible with just the compact version. The decocking levers stick out a bit too much but don't offer up and ways to snag on clothing. more
I purchased the 40 S&W about two years back. This was one out of three I was looking to get. I was sold as soon as I picked up the gun. It fits nice in my hand and you can change out the back straps to accommodate yo...ur hand. It is easy to strip down and clean and this is probably one of my favorite pistols that I own. I do carry concealed and depending on what I am wearing I love carrying this gun. more
Bought it in 9mm in March 2013 and I love it..It is my first semi-auto pistol that I have purchased and I know that I made the right choice. It was nice that it came with 2-17 round clips, speedloader, cleaning kit, hard... case. Have fired bout 250 rounds through it with no problems whatsoever (including some cheap steel cased ammo). Absolutely love it for its reliability, easy operation(decocking hammer is also very nice) and it is very easy to clean. It is an Italian Beauty! more
Purchased the full size 40 cal storm as my first handgun. Changeable grip size makes it very easy to match gun to your hand size and makes it very easy to stay on target. Fired approx 400 rounds so far and I have had no ...misfeeds. Groups are good from 20 to 50 feet out mainly due to the light recoil. I would tell anyone looking for a quality, accurate handgun to go with a storm. more
Love this Firearm
Got the PX4 Full size in 9mm. I'm incredibly happy with it, especially for the price.
I bought the 9mm Type G as my first-ever handgun about two years ago and I have loved it ever since. The best feature is how natural it feels in my big hands, especially with the larger strap.
Try This Gun Out!!!!!
I'm a 1911 guy and that's all I liked and all carried. Then I stumbled across this piece. Got it and took it to the range. I've had four 1911s (including m1991a1) and the 2 that aren't colts have jammed on me about 9% of... the time. more
Great First Gun
A few months after my 21st birthday I decided to buy my first handgun. I did my research and thought the Beretta Px4 Storm .40 fit my needs. I had previously shot my grandfather's 9mm and .357, but I wanted to go smaller... so I chose a nice compact that I could conceal and carry if I wanted to. more
Beretta PX4 Sub-Compact 9mm
This is one of my favorites. I rarely leave the house without this one. It is easy to conceal and is an absolute joy to shoot. I chose to use this one in a tactical training class, and it was outstanding. I lucked out an...d bought mine used in near mint condition. I immediately fell in love with it. It feels comfortable in my hands (the Snap Grips are genius). I also bought a 17-rd magazine and sleeve. That makes it feel like a full-size pistol which is great for the range or a spare mag. I've shot well over 2,000 rounds in my PX4 and have never had any issues whatsoever. Clean it, load it, aim at a safe target, pull the trigger...bang...every time. I trust my life to it. I pray that I never have to use it for defense, but I have trained extensively and I know my PX4 will work if I ever need it to. more
Love this gun
I'm not sure if it's the rotating barrel or what but the compact shoots great in the 40 caliber. Low recoil, very accurate. The single action trigger is great. Light and crisp. I really don't like the all the slack in it... when it's single action but once you get used to it you don't even notice. more
Beretta PX4 Compact .40
My second Beretta handgun, first being a 92FS.
I own two Px4s so far. The full size 45acp and my carry the Px4 40S&W. I have shot many different brands of pistols and these are by far the most fun and consistent out of the box. The 45acp is easy to stay on target.... Unlike others the barrel rotates and has a locking lug system that takes a lot of the recoil away from it. The 40S$W is by far the best all around conceal carry pistol there is. It is big enough to intimidate yet ergonomically designed to conceal well. The groups I shoot are amazing considering I am disabled and can't afford to shoot as much as I would like. So if you want a great pistol of the highest quality and for a more than affordable price get the Beretta Px4. more
I have had this gun for 2 months and I love it. My wife shot it and she feels comfortable with it. Only down, is that I had a jammed the last two time but after a good cleaning with a brush it seems to have solved that p...roblem. I have ran 200+ round on it. more

I LOVE THIS GUN!
Purchased this PX4 storm in 9mm. Let me repeat: I LOVE THIS GUN. I decided that I needed some type of pistol for home defense. I've been 100% satisfied with this purchase! I grew up with guns of every type because my dad...'s quite a pro-gun country boy. I haven't had it very long but I've (maybe) shot around 500 rounds of FMJ so far with 0 FTF & FTE's. I haven't shot any JHP yet. If you're looking for a accurate, reliable pistol... then this is definitely one you should look at! I don't regret it at all. more
The PX4 is my 3rd pistol purchase this year out of 5 I have. All are top brand names. Biggest plus for me is the easy of shooting. Very little recoil. Quality in every way. The gun fits my hand perfect. Well balanced. Ev...ery function of the pistol is solid quality. Due to ammo shortage I have only put a 100 rounds through her. Flawless in every way, very accurate out of box. Quality of gun exceeds the price. 2 of my pistol cost $100 & $250 more than the Berretta. The px4 is at least equal or better than any pistol I own. Last point is the great look of the PX4. The pistols looks as good as it performs. more
My first gun...
I bought this as my first handgun about a month ago. I absolutely love it. I am left handed shooters, so I love the fact that safety/decocker and clip release are abecedarian. The interchangeable handle size makes it 'mi...ne'. The saddle feel better to me that some of the other guys I have shot: glock and sig sauer. In general I am very pleased with it. more
Great polymer 9mm for the money
I've owned the full size PX4 for 9 months and have ran about 950 rounds through it with zero problems. It's easy to shoot and the rotating barrel greatly reduces the already mild recoil of the 9mm. I highly recommend thi...s pistol to anyone. I like it so much that I recently purchased the subcompact. more
I bought this pistols (.40 S&W) for my wife she love's itvery little recoil to it we had a great time shooting it.Great pistol, can't wait to go and shoot it agian.
Berretta PX4 Storm
I purchased mine about a month ago. Love it, fits my hand and has nice weight. I've fired about 50+ rounds with it and It shoots nicely. Not a lot of recoil. I wanted a conceal piece but the smaller guns just didn't feel... right. Works well, no load or mis-fires problems. Feels like quality. I like the .40 over the 9mm. Just more confidence on my part and ammo was available at Bass Pro. 9mm seems to be hard to fine more
I bought the PX4 full-size in 9mm a few days ago. Took it to the range today and out 150 rounds through it. Not a single problem. This is my first firearm so I spent a long time researching and I am very pleased with the... purchase. The only complaint I would offer is about the case, not the gun. It barely fits the gun with with 2 mags, extra back straps, and paperwork. Not a big deal since I probably won't use the case for long anyway, plus it was the gun I bought, not the case. more
Never had a jam, more accurate than my Glock, easy to feild strip. Has a nice solid feel. So far, this gun has been great. Nice to get a good gun after Ruger Nightmare.
Picked up a PX4 in 40 S&W. First time out had incredible groupings. Very accurate. No FTF or FTE. Very solid firearm that cycled all 100 rounds effortlessly. Glad I picked one up. This is my new carry that I trust.
Poor design by Beretta
My first and last Beretta. I've owned and shot many many hand guns.
Great little gun
PX4 Storm Sub-Compact: .40 S&W.Absolutely no problems.Shoots smooth and accuratelyI carry this pistol daily and I could not be happier with it..
Very pleased. Its too heavy to carry concealed comfortably, but it has a 17 rd mag in my 9mm. shoots great, never had a jam
Best 45 out there.
Absolutely no problems. Those paisanos got this one right. I have the type F in 45 fun to shoot and very accurate.
LETS GET IT
I love the design and performance thus far can't locate the JXF4C21 model tho with constant action
First gun, couldn't have picked a better one...
This is my first fire arm, so I did some research and looked for the gun that provided reliability and the "cool" factor. I ended up on this gun and decided on the Sub Compact in Dark Earth in .40 S&W. LOVE... THIS GUN, I seem to have dropping bullet issue but that could be because I'm just starting out and if not I don't have to compensate my aim so much that it's disorienting but I guess we'll see when I go back to add the full size I'll be getting to go with it. very fast tear down and being a "technician" I can appreciate the simplicity in maintenance of this gun.I do wish they would offer the standard full size in the dark earth color scheme as the Special Duty is over kill in bling if you will. I already have cleaning supplies and I don't care for the extended barrel on it. Either way I will be going back for the bigger brother in either .40sw or .45acp. Can't beat the look and feel and in the hands of a first time shooter, pretty accurate as far as being able to group my shots. more
I bought this pistol after a long review process on youtube. I love the rotating barrel because it helps the kickback displace around the barrel rather than put the full strain on my wrist and forearm. It is easy to disa...ssemble and clean. I have the full size .40 caliber and took it to the range the same day I bought it and put 48 out of 50 rounds in the black and missed 2 at 25yds outside the head. What an awesome pistol more
This gun is accurate right out of the box. This is my first time ever owning a gun and I am very pleased of how this gun has performed so far. I let a couple of my friends fire the gun as well...and they all had the same... comment that it instantly feels good on the hand and fires accurately. Other reviewers have noted that the gun jams....So far I have fired over 600 rounds and cleaned it twice and no issues of jamming. I would highly recommend this gun. more
Comfortable, easy shooting pistol
Up until 2012 my only handgun was a .357 S&W revolver. I decided to obtain a 9mm semiauto for home protection. I researched and rented the Beretta PX4 Storm, Glock 19 and Ruger SR9c at local target ranges/gun shops f...or evaluation. After lots of deliberating I ended up buying a slightly used Ruger SR9c. I assumed the very stiff recoil spring would eventually loosen up after firing it a few times. Well, it didn't. Since I have some arthritis in my hands I begrudgingly elected to sell it and buy the Beretta. The PX4Storm is a very nice gun. My neighbor has one and I enjoyed shooting this pistol at the target ranges alot when I was still in the evaluation period. With the PX4Storm I had to get accustomed to the first-shot double action which is then single action (with very light trigger pull) on subsequent shots. I fire 114 grain PMC bronze and Magtech rounds and the gun likes them fine (lots of muzzle flash with the Magtech). No doubt my accuracy will improve over time with this gun and I always look forward to firing it. I really like the Beretta PX4Storm and plan to keep it handy for home protection for a long time. Despite my modest sized hands I changed out the backstrap with the largest one included with the gun and it feels even better. Unfortunately it's a little too large to use as a concealed carry. I also particularly like the safety of the decocking feature. And the gun is very easy to field strip and clean. I read the manual thoroughly after getting it home and disassembled it the first day I had the gun just to see how the rotating barrel feature worked. It's really quite simple to tear down to clean. You won't be sorry with this gun. more
Easiest gun I've got to shoot.
I've had mine for a little while and it's been flawless. I've got a .38 Special, a .380 auto and this one, a 9mm PX4 Compact.
Reliable 9 MM
I've put over 1000 rounds through my PX4 Storm Type F and have had ZERO problems. Shoots smooth and accurately every time.
Best Handgun I have ever owned
I have had extensive training with handguns of all makes and models. I currently own 2 Px4 Storms, both compacts one chambered in 9mm and one in .40 S&W, and will be purchasing another one (full sized) soon for my cu...rrent line of work as a security officer. I feel that this is the best all around handgun that I have ever worked with, before owning this gun I was a huge fan of 1911 models but the features and the technology advancements on this weapon in my opinion are much superior. more
Love This Gun
I spent a lot of time deciding which gun to purchase. It had to feel right and be a natural fit in my hand. This PX4 Storm just fit my hand better than any other full size automatic from the first time I picked it up. On...ce I got into the store to buy it, instead of just shopping, choosing between the all black and the 2 tone was the biggest problem. I chose the 2 tone. I have only put about 250 rounds through it so far and I can shoot better groups than the guys I go shooting with. I haven't shot much at all for a long time so that is a fun thing. This is the first .40 I have ever shot and I like it better than the .45 1911 I used to have. more
When you are tired of "G", upgrade to Beretta!
First, I do not have a gun that I just "love". Besides anything American...
Great piece Beretta, this was my first Beretta and probablly not my last, small easy to carry with a tuckable holster, reliable easy to clean, wish it was a blackened stainless but I wish a lot of things.. 13 rnds of 9mm... and the snap grip works great. Mine is dead on and incredibly easy to punch holes in tin cans. more
great sub compact gun
i got this gun for my winter carry pistol. i love the way this gun feels in my hand the flip down magazine extension is a real bonus. i also like the 13 rounds that you can carry I dont feel outguned when carring it. it ...shoots great and has very good accuracy that inspires confidence if there is any thing bad about this gun it is the size but it is a trade off for the capacity it is still easy to conceal. you cant go wrong with this gun i love mine more
superb semi auto pistol
I did research for 2 years before I bought a pistol. I needed to buy 1 pistol that would serve every purpose that I would need. This Beretta is an awesome blend of every feature that you could possibly want or need.
This PX4 Beretta pistol is simply an amazing firearm! The durability along with the accuracy and reliability CANNOT be beaten! This pistol is directly comparable to the highest quality pistols with features like the acce...ssory rail, polymer grips, rotating barrel, ambidextrous safety, and disassembly latch. I was formerly in the US NAVY Special Forces and these were the pistols that were issued to us. Enough said right! more
PX4 Storm .40 Sub-Compact Great Conceal Carry
Comfortable to shoot. Accurate, Well balanced, Not quite broke in but gets better with each round fired from gun. Well worth the price.
VERY NICE, MONEY WELL SPENT
The beretta PX4 Storm full size 9mm is an excellent pistol. I have put well over 800 rounds through this gun with , remington, winchester, and S&B. Only had a failure to feed three time when brand new with stiff maga...zines. They will only hold 16 till worn in. After that no issues what so ever. Very reliable. This one is my home defence weapon with a TLR-1s light on the picatiny rail fits nice and snug. Minimal wear, the finish is still like new and this gun is very easy to field strip and clean. Not sure i like the rotational barrel for recoil reduction. Accuracy is OK, i noticed i get a lot of stray bullets very low and off to the side. I do like the fact it has single or double action firing, and the replaceable backstraps. Which i was able to make fit my hand very well. I do recommend. The only thing im not happy about is the accuracy. more
I purchased the PX4 as a concealed carry firearm. I looked at all the compacts and subcompacts and with my hands the size of grizzly paws, none of them fit me comfortably. The full size PX4 fit me perfectly and with my s...ize, even being a full size gun, is pretty easy to conceal. I instantly liked the single action/double action trigger along with the very safe decocking mechanism. I have no problems carrying with a round in the chamber with the safety on. The trigger pull is one of the best I tried. The felt recoil is less than other .40 cal that I shot and my wife and friends agree. more
I've put about 1400 rounds through min and has been flawless with no misfires or jams! I would describe it like a knife through butter every time. The finger extender fits my larger hand perfectly and I use this as my Ca...rry gun. Great ergonomics and couldn't ask for a more reliable gun. My complaints would be the double action for the first pull always throws me off, so I start in single action, but even with the DA every shot after that is well-controlled. Also the sights may need adjusted after several hundred rounds and i just used a screw drive to do because the adjustment tool is expensive. Other than that love it and highly recommend getting one or at least shooting it at the range.. more
my wife was intereseted in purchasing a 9mm hand gun and she absolutly loves it. very little recoil and shot over 200 rounds without a one jam before the first time taking appart to clean which was simple to disassemble ...and reassemble. she enjoys shooting it as often as see can more
Great Full Size Pistol
I spent alot of time looking for my first full size pistol, read alot into it then finally got a chance to see it in person, sold by how comfortable the pistol felt. Salesman was cool with spending some time to show me o...ther pistols too but went with the PX4. Great gun to shoot, low on the recoil compared to a friends glock 45 cal, and S&W 9mm. I'm also thinking about a sub compact and most likely stick to the PX4 line. more
Good Practical Weapon
I traded in my Taurus PT-140 to buy the PX4 Storm Compact pistol (9mm) and am not disappointed with the decision. The weapon is well made and the price reflects the performance of this weapon. The Bruniton coating that c...overs the entire slide is impressive- no smudges or fingerprints after handling. I never have to use oil or a silicone cloth on the exterior of the slide because of this, and it seems much more resistant to wear and scratches or dings. The recoil is manageable in the compact 9mm, but I fired it side by side with a Browning Hi-Power and the Hi-Power had slightly less recoil. The slide and rotating barrel seem to soak up recoil well. The magazine capacity is generous, but without the speed loader it can be VERY hard to fit the last 3 rounds into the magazines, and a fully loaded magazine requires a good push to lock it into the magazine well. The safety/decocker works well, but once while cleaning I must have managed to upset the trigger/firing pin connection because the pistol ceased to fire in double action! After taking it apart again, I fiddled with the trigger assembly and fixed it. Back to the ambidextrous de-cocker: it works well but it projects from the sides a lot and so makes for a tight fit in holsters made for similarly sized pistols like the compact glocks. The modular interchangeable grip is neat, but very difficult to change. However, once I test-fitted the different grips, the handle feels fantastic in my hand, beats the feel of a Glock compact! My only other issue was that I noticed that the back end of the plastic frame is showing some wear along the parts that are in contact with the frame during recoil. Not a huge issue but I might take a file or an exacto knife and trim the plastic slag off that is being worn. Overall, this pistol feels great, shoots accurately, and seems very robust and tactical, and for some reason reminds me of both the 92FS and the Glock series. more

I own the sub-compact in 9mm and the full size in .40S&W. I do carry both but the 9mm is my usual carry gun, and the 40 is for home defense. With more than 2,000 rounds of a large variety of ammo thru each gun withou...t any issues ever, I feel very confident in both of these guns. I do practice tap & rack drills, but it is very unlikely I will ever need that skill with these pistols. The controls are a bit clunky from the factory but I have changed mine out for the low profile controls available from Beretta. Except for my pinky finger on the sub-compact, the feel in my hand for both guns is the same. With the right grip back-straps in place (3 sizes included), these are a perfect fit for me. more
The PX4 Storm fires as well as it feels. I have been extremely happy with this and the target results speak to the guns accuracy. Being able to group 10 shots in an area the size of a fist, from 10 yards is pretty impres...sive. The fact that I haven't shot a gun in 10 years punches this point home. I am extremely happy with this and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great semi-auto handgun. The many features are outstanding. more
PX4 is awesome
The PX4 is awesome!Anyone that has a problem with it, is probably new to firearms.I bought mine because alot of LE Departments are switching to it and I can see why.Shoots straight, feels great and is more reliable than ...anything else 've ever owned. My only issue is that Cabela's never seems to have it in stock! more
So I purchased the full size .40 S&W Type "C" model of this hand gun. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The gun is extremely accurate, very comfortable in the hand, and most importantly, high...ly reliable. This is my go-to weapon that lives closely to my pillow. more
A correction to the advertisement...
I have the compact version in 9mm. Readers should be aware that the compact version does NOT have the rotating barrel. The compact version uses a tilt barrel system.
Not a bad shooter but...
This gun fires well, operates smoothly and is comfortable to shoot. There are a few minor complaints about the feel of the magazine release and the slide lock is clunky. However there is one MAJOR design flaw in the inno...vative rotating-bolt design. There is a gap in the ejection port where the bolt rotates and if anything, anything at all gets caught, the gun seizes completely. It can't even be manually cycled. It's totally jammed. If you're considering buying one, bring a rolled up bit of paper and stick it in that gap and try to cock it. It won't budge. It's a fine shooting weapon, but I wouldn't count my life on it. more
I bought the full size 9mm.
Great pistol.Rotating barrel gives straight line recoil;no "slam bang" dropping barrel monkey motion.Fits any hand.Legendary Beretta quality and reliability.Mine is 9mm, want to also get a 40 cal.Super high cap... FACTORY mags available."Super Luminova" sights glow only when you "charge" them, so they can be "turned off". more
There are many fine handguns available in this day and age. The market is full of well made guns that will fill the bill as far as accuracy, consistency and quality. It is my belief that just about any quality gun you bu...y today will give you good service. That being said, the big factor being left is how the gun fits you and your personality. The PX4 is one of those guns that fits your hand perfectly. Its perceived recoil is very low, its weight is light and balanced, its looks are killer and it's a Beretta which means the highest quality. more
