    Love mine....cept
The ONLY thing is that there are not very many holsters available for this gun...I'd love to have a shoulder set up, but to no avail....or a few different ones for on/in your waist line. But shooting this gun is FUN!

    Great gun for my wife
Had a few failure to feed problems in the first 150 to 200 rounds. The gun now has over 800 rounds through it and not a problem. Have used four different ammo brands with no problems. My wife used this to qualify for her... conceal carry and put 27 of 30 inside the 9 and 10 rings. I have shot it out to 45 feet and had 10 shots in a 4.125" grouping. Have not shot from bench rest. more

    Gun purchase
I'm very happy with my purchase from Cabela's. My order information said it would take 5 to 8 working days to arrive, it actually only took 1 1/2 days! It's a beautiful gun and Cabela's made the process very easy.

    Cheap made toy
Very cheaply made - lots of internal plastic parts where they should have used metal. There’s no way I’d trust my life to this toy. Accuracy is disgraceful. At 10 yards from a bench rest it was all over the place and... key-holing the target! Plenty of failures to go into battery and stove pipes. Don’t waste your money on this pretty piece of junk. I thought I could trust the Browning name but no. Selling mine at a loss as soon as possible. more

    1911 .380 BROWNING BLACK LABEL
Purchased this for a carry. Right out of the box. (yes I cleaned before range time) Had failure to feed. Failure to return to battery. failure to fire. VERY disappointed with this Browning product. Am returning it back t...o Browning hoping they can get this corrected. I would not carry this to a knife fight with the way this has performed. I will update this review after it is returned. I would give this half a star now if I had that option. more

The best 380 auto I have fired.
Looks great, very easy to use, easy to rack and easy to fire accurately. Very accurately. I got the Compact pro because I read the upgraded sites were worth it and they are. I have compared this gun on the range with a L...lama 380 Micromax, a Sig 238, A Bersa Thunder, and a Glock 42. None come close to this one. Save your $ and get one because it is a joy to use. Perfect size for a CC. If there is a downside it is that my wife claimed it because of it's awesome easy shootability. Great safety features as well. more

    Go Pro
I got the Pro with the night sights and the rail, didn't care about the rail but only way I could get the night sites at the time. I am so glad I got the night sights, so much easier to see than my friends with the stand...ard sites. Went to the range put the first three rounds through the same hole at 10 yards the rest in about a two inch group, never done that with a .380 before. I would recommend oiling the mags before shooting, they tend to be a bit sticky when new. This has become my daily carry. I found a Kydex holster on an auction site that even accommodates the rail. Everywhere else was back ordered. This is so easy to carry I am very comfortable with a 1911 cocked and locked. Single action is a bit different for daily carry if you a not used to it. I would recommend this to anyone who likes 1911s. To me it's a tribute to Mr. Browning as he invented not only the Gun but the .380 round, and his name is on the Gun. more

    Decent weapon
I bought this for my wife to self defense. It is light, easy to handle and the slide release can be done with one hand by left or right handed users - which is why my wife liked it. It is also pretty easy to dissemble an...d clean. There is a slide lock safety, a handgrip trigger lock, and a magazine trigger lock. That means you have to hold it properly and have a magazine inserted to pull the trigger, whether loaded or not. And the safety is just a regular safety - you can't pull the trigger or rack the slide while the safety is on. more

No compromises on this true mini-1911.
While I've never been a big fan of the .380 cartridge, this was just too, uh, cute to pass up! Once I got the Compact in my hand at the store, it wouldn't let me go until I agreed to take it home with me. It's like looki...ng at puppies at the pound... more

    Browning baby 1911 380
I bought this gun for my wife to shoot. It is a great little gun and has been very reliable after shooting 250 + rounds through it. My wife likes it a lot. I bought the standard version. The only complaint is the cheap f...ront sight. The gun accidentally fell off a shelf and broke off the front sight. The front sight appears to be plastic. For such an expensive gun I would have expected a lot better front sight. Maybe the pro version has a better front sight. more

    great shooter
My friend brought one down to the house to try out. He bought it from Bass Pro. He gave me the fun of shooting it first. First shot I figured out where it aimed. Second shot I nailed a 1.5" steel plate from 30 yards.... We both wore out that spinner until we got tired of shooting. Comfortable, fast second shots, light and accurate. I don't think it gets better than that. I've been thinking about another gun for Christmas. This one might move to the top of the list I'm sending Santa. more

    Browning 1911-380
Great little 1911 that is truly a point and shoot pistol. Very accurate. No failures of any kind in over 300 rounds. Used Federal ball, Hornady critical defense and custom XTP and HRP Hyper Clean ball and hollow point. I... give HRP a thumbs up too. Functions and breaks down like full size 1911. Great concealed carry and can get whole hand on grips. Longer barrel increases velocity. Very little recoil. Great little pistol. Highly recommend. Have the 1911-22 which I also highly recommend. more

    85% metal
Ok, let me say that I bought this pistol with the intentions of finding all metal under that slide. Did I? Why no I didn't. How much could it cost to make that spring guide outta metal? Other than that. The pistol shot f...ine for the first 100 rounds. It was just dirty so I stopped firing it. The fit is great. The pistol is a .380 lovers dream come true. Browning did an outstanding job with the overall cloning of a full size 1911. I have another .380 made by Bersa. The Browning will be taking its place for eating my .380 ammo. I would highly recommend this pistol to anyone that prefers fine pistols. It would have been nice to get two mags with it instead of one. I give it four stars cause of only one mag and the plastic guide. The case has a two mag holder. Also, this pistol will fire without the mag in place. I tested it by putting in a round in barrel. Removed magazine. (All the while pistol is pointed down range) pressed mag release button in and pull trigger. BOOM!!! more

    site issue
I would definitely recommend firearm. I had an issue with mine , at around 24rds. My front site blew off. Was unable to find it called browning they had me send it back to them so they can install another. Have not heard... back from them as of this review they have had it for a week now and no updated even after calling and leaving # & email . Also they only give you one magazine and I can not find any in my area or online to buy. Which is frustrating. more

    cool little 380
My wife bought the 1911-380 for her conceal and carry. Shoots real well and is very light. Shoots so much better then most of the small conceal guns with much shorter barrels. Such and cool little 1911. Put few hundred r...ounds through it and seems to jam about every 3rd mag or so. Don't know what the problem is but seems to be getting better the more rounds you shoot through it. Still would recommend since it is almost perfect size and weight for a purse gun. Plus like I said its soooo cool. more

    Wow!!
This little 380 is awesome!! Easy to hold on target. Not too small for people with Large hands. This is hands down the best 380 that I have ever shot. I hope Browning comes out with a shorter barreled model. If they do I...'ll buy it. more

    Perfect Fit
I have small hands and the 1911 380 fits perfectly, At 17 ounces, it is lighter than most compacts; narrower than a revolver; 4 1/4" barrel is more accurate than shorter ones and has less recoil; full hand-grip is m...ore comfortable and controllable than the stubby ones on most compacts; easy take-down for cleaning; quality construction - what more could you want? I'm going to CHL class in two weeks. I also have a 1911 22 and can practice with cheaper ammo. And, it's fun to shoot. more

    Fits my hand perfectly
Bought a Browning 1911 22 a year ago and had been eagerly waiting for the 380. I have small hands and a full-size 1911 is too large and way too heavy. At 17 ounces, the 380 weighs about 2 ounces more than the 22 due to a... heavier barrel. The 4 1/4" barrel provides better accuracy and less recoil than shorter-barreled models. It's a delight to shoot and easy to carry. more

  • A Pint-Sized 1911? Browning’s Black Label Pro 1911-380—Full Review.
Fit and finish is what we would expect from a name like Browning, which is to say flawless. Right out of the box, the slide is smooth, not like some of the gritty finished product you have picked up in other 1911s. Also ...not much wiggle in the slide to frame fitting, like you get in a surplus rattle trap. Not as tight as a full custom gun, but that tends to reduce reliability in real world conditions, anyway. There is checkering on the front and back straps of the gun, and even up onto the fully functional beavertail safety. The beavertail is an extended version, and looks exactly like the one on a full-sized gun. No skimping on detail here, or scaling down mil surplus parts. The safety is ambidextrous, and textured just like a big boy gun. The slide release is absolutely tiny at this scale, but it is also textured. The grips are a scaled micarta in black and grey. There is actually a little bit of bite in these grips, not that you would need it for .380. more

  • A Low-Recoil Compact .380 Pistol for Carry – The Browning 1911-380 [FIREARM REVIEW]
A thing of “Beauty and Performance.” Some words meant to describe the new for 2017 Browning 1911-380 compact carry pistol. This new offering blends the 1911 design with the .380 caliber and a very lightweight, compact... frame for concealed carry purposes. Some of these new 1911-380s are in Browning’s “Limited Availability” category, while others are in current production, so you must shop around for them and be patient. The accuracy of the BLMP was excellent for me at close combat, defensive distances of 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 yards for this shooter with aging eyes. more

  • Gun Review: Browning Black Label .380 1911
Sights on the Browning .380 1911 Black Label are an upgraded affair from the base model. Front and rear are dove-tailed, with the rear similar to Novak, but slimmer. When presented on the target, the three white dots lin...e up nicely and are parallel to one another when lined up with the base sights themselves. Both sights use a hex screw to keep them in place and are adjustable for windage only by drifting. Both front and rear are serrated and the rear sight works for one-handed racking, but is not ideal as there are no hard angles. more

  • BROWNING 1911 .380 A FUN BUT SERIOUS FIREARM
The 1911 is a single action pistol. This means you have to manually cock the hammer by pulling the slide back to load the round, or if the pistol is loaded and the hammer is on half-cock you have to pull the hammer back ...manually. To look at a true 1911 pistol with the hammer cocked back can give uneducated people some concern. However, the 1911 when fully cocked with the manual thumb safety engaged is a very safe loaded pistol. Even if the thumb safety is down and unengaged, there are two more safeties in place. The grip safety and the half cock hammer safety. So without creating a sub-article about the safety features on the 1911, this pistol is a safe pistol in trained hands. If you never have handled a single action 1911 before, go to your local gun range to be trained in its use. Here in the Oklahoma City Metro area, Wilshire Gun is the place to go for training and to shoot. more
