The Buckmark has a 10+1 capacity and comes with one magazine. The Buckmark’s sights are standard black and adjustable for windage. The Browning Buckmark Camper’s best feature is the trigger. It has a light, crisp bre...ak that’s unusual for a gun. Combining a quick re-set with a .22’s soft recoil, the Camper’s incredibly easy to keep on target shot after shot. more

    Buck Mark Hunter, Excellent.
Purchased the Buck Mark Hunter a couple of weeks ago and have since put about 500 rounds rounds down rage. I put a cheap Bushnell trs25 red dot on the pistol that I had laying around and have exclusively used Federal Aut...o Match bulk 22LR cartridges. more

    22 pistol
I have yet to use my 22 pistol. I love how it feels in my hand and the looks of it. Can’t wait until a warm day so that I can fire off some rounds with it. I lost out of my rebate because of the way it had to be done o...n the internet instead of just mailing in a form! Very unhappy about that procedure when people don’t do well on computers. more

Didn't start out too good. Jammed three times with the first 100 rounds. It was recommended I shoot CCI ammunition. After that the gun was flawless and my granddaughter put another 100 rounds through it.

Buckmarks are solid pistols that last forever
I've shot Buckmark pistols for more than 20 years, and have put thousands upon thousands of rounds through them with relatively few problems. They are unquestionably accurate, and certainly good enough for hunting and pl...inking. I shot them for multiple years at the Chevy Truck Team Challenge, and they worked as well as any S&W or other brands. I bought the Practical because Browning was offering a huge rebate, and because I wanted the contoured grip and enhanced sighting system. Buckmarks work best when kept clean, and if you shoot clean-burning .22 ammo, you can go 500 - 1000 rounds before cleaning. I throw on a cheap aim dot sight, and the fun is endless. Highly recommend! more

This gun is amazingly accurate. I have never shot a more consistent, more accurate pistol than this gun. It takes most all ammo and for the price and quality it's just an all around favorite of mine.

Once you sight in this gun, it is hands down, the most accurate handgun I have ever fired. I have Glocks, FNH, Sig Sauer and none of them compare to this gun. The only knock I have on this gun, and it's not even really w...ith the gun, is that it doesn't have a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. I of course bought around 20 extras so it really isn't an issue. I have had friends shoot it and they are ALL blown away at the accuracy and it's reliability. Get one, you will not be disappointed. If you are, I'll buy your gun and sell it to one of my buddies that has shot mine ;) Oh, one last thing, but important, it cleans easily. more

I am very impressed with the Browning Buck Mark .22LR! Just shot it for the first time today and I am "Blown" away (no pun intended)! Not a single mis-fire, not a single failure to eject and once I made some minor adjust...ments to the sights, it was hard to miss!! I have FN Five Sevens, EAA Match grade 10mm, as well as many other GOOD pistols, but this is by far my new favorite. Tack Driver 22 pistol
I just went to the range last night and shot 450 rounds through my brand new Buckmark Camper pistol. It functioned flawlessly, never jammed and is CRAZY accurate. I was punching silver dollar sized holes in the target at... 10 yards in the middle of the bullseye. Doesn't get much better than that out of the box. I ordered some fiber-optic sights as the black on black is a bit tough to see at an indoor range. Love the magazine eject button and the general feel of this pistol in my hands. more

    Great Gun!
This is an exceptional pistol for the price. It is accurate and reliable. The out-of-the-box, factory trigger pull measured at 4.2lbs on my Lyman trigger gauge. This is perfect for an all around plinker, hunter, defense ...pistol. The trigger pull weight can easily be reduced if you want to use this for competitive target shooting. The only negative I have with this gun is that the grips are very stiff and difficult to replace after removing. Having said that, once in place, the grips really fit my hand well! I love this gun and plan to buy the UDX model with the scalloped frame next. more

Tack Driver- New shooters need this first!
I just bought my second Buckmark, the Practical with a fiber optic sights on Saturday. My first one that I ran a few thousand rounds through and still going strong has the rosewood grips and another tack driver. The Pract...ical feels great in the hand, sights are perfect, and, after more than a few hundred rounds through it today, this one is a winner. No issues with cheap rounds. Just make sure you have two or more magazines. More accurate from a distance than any larger caliber I own. For new shooters buy this gun first! For old shooters, buy this gun and have a great time! more

    Nice shooting gun
I have probably fired 200 rounds through this pistol. I had a few problems with the gun cycling properly at first with Remington bulk ammo but after 25 rounds or so it worked flawlessly. It is a very accurate pistol and ...feels good in my hand. My main concern is that the bluing may not be of a real high quality. I like the fiber optic front sight. The rear sight needed a lot of adjustment to be properly aligned at first. more

This popular 22 pistol appears to be derived from the old MEDALIST and CHALLENGER series which were then made in BELGIUM 5 decades ago. My BUCKMARK is the SS Camper and after getting a 2-1/2# trigger job (stock was 4# an...d broke clean) and lightening and smoothing the mainspring racking effort to accommodate my ancient week left shoulder and adding an optical front sight, it takes a near second place to my precious MEDALIST and ahead of my 1911 22 A1. Interestingly, BROWNING had glued down the sighting bridge and lock-tited its screws while stating in the owners manual that any cleaning requiring further disassembly should be done by a gunsmith. My gunsmith and I both got a laugh out of that. It isn't that hard to field strip and remove the barrel for a chamber to muzzle cleaning. My BUCKMARK feeds everything except W/W plated hollow points which deform against the loading ramp and fail to chamber. It loves most unplated LRN, standard and high velocity, and is very accurate with these loads. The adjustable sights are a dream to use. The gun is both durable and relatively light for field carry and fits my hand like a glove. more

    A Great .22 Pistol
In a speed steel event at my gun range, I noticed that lots of people were shooting .22's and almost all of them were Browning Buck Marks. Low ammo cost and high accuracy were the reasons given. So I bought one.

    Disappointed with new Buckmark
Purchased Buckmark Stainless UFX October 2014. FTE, FTL and stove pipes with popular factory ammo including, Federal, Remington and Winchester. Cleaned well and fired over 2000 rounds. Only ammo which cycles well is CCI ...Minimag. Found the “c” retainer clip off the recoil guide rod after first use. Groove in guide rod appears to be poorly machined. Both front and back sight base screws become loose after 50 to 75 rounds. Chamber end of stainless barrel is pitted and powder residue remains in the pits. Barrel is either poor quality of stainless or poor machining during manufacturing process. In conclusion, buckmark is a joy to shoot, when it cycles, and the grip does feel good in your hand, however you will need to carry an allen wrench with you to keep the base screws snug on the lock washers and you’re likely to find Buckmark to be the pickiest gun on ammo. I’m greatly disappointed with the Buckmark and I’d like to think Browning could manufacture a better product than this. more

Purchased new Browning Buckmark Stainless UFX mid October 2014. I’ve experienced ongoing FTE, FTL and stove pipes with popular factory ammo including, but not limited to: Federal, Remington and Winchester. I’ve clean...ed it well between field trips and I’ve fired over 1000 rounds. The only ammo which cycles well in this gun is CCI Minimag, however making matters worse, CCI Minimag are extremely difficult to find. Following first use of the buckmark, I found the “c” retainer clip off the recoil guide rod. The groove in the rod for the clip appears to be poorly machined and the clip would simply fall off the guide rod. In addition, both front and back screws which hold the sight base in place become loose after 50 to 75 rounds. The chamber end of the stainless barrel is pitted, which is very evident when cleaning because powder residue remains in the pits. The barrel is either a poor quality of stainless and or poor machining during manufacturing process. I’ve owned many guns in my life, including browning, but this is the first gun I’ve had disappointing issues with. Browning does carry replacement parts for this gun and Browning is happy to sell you replacement parts, but why should I have to look forward to ordering parts and why should I have to spend so much time searching for the one and only specific round this gun will cycle? In conclusion, the buckmark is a joy to shoot, when it cycles, and the grip does feel good in your hand, however you will need to carry an allen wrench with you in the field to keep the base screws snug on the star lock washers and you likely will find it to be the most pickiest gun on ammo it’ll cycle. I’m greatly disappointed in Browning and I’d like to think Browning could manufacture a better product than this and if they can, why doesn’t Browning offer to replace this gun with a new one without these issues. Is Browning only interested in sales and profits? more

Browning® Buck Mark® Standard URX Pistol
Got this Cyber Monday and with the tax relief and free Winchester 22's it was a great deal. Been watching for 4 months trying to find one for a good price and landed this one. Been to the range 3 times, 600 plus rounds t...hrough it. CCI's flawless, Federal's flawless, Remington Golden 2 FTF. Head of bullets were a bit loose? Overall wonderful. Only cleaned twice and it was not as bad as the you tube reviews. Debating a reflex sight but it was zeroed from the factory as well as I can shoot. At 25 yards a 3 inch pattern, probably could do better in the hands of a marksman. If you are looking, this one is fun and a pretty site to look atDean more

    Great for targetting
Very accurate, nice balance, but needed a new sight for dimmer (range) conditions. I like the stainless steel, but my wife likes her black bull barrel. No measurable difference in accuracy, she is a much better aim with ...either. This is a great gun for teaching a female to shoot (or anyone that would flinch with kick-back). just purchased this pistol. i liked the robust feel of the pistol, seems to be built very well. went to the range and starting shooting it and everything was fine until i put about the first 30 rounds thru it then starte...d having misfires, fail to feed and stovepipe jams and it got worse. i was using inexpensive lead bullet ammo that seemed to be dirtier than usual so i switched to brass ammo and put about 50 rounds thru it without one failure.then i switched to a better quailty cci lead ammo and put another 50 rounds thru without a hiccup. so it must have been the cheap lead ammo. pistol is extremely accurate with standard velocity cci ammo. it is habit forming though. once you start shooting you do not want to stop. more

    Solid pistol, loads of fun
I purchased a Buckmark Camper UFX a few weeks ago in Hamburg, PA. I was on the fence between this gun and the Ruger Mark III. I read everything I could about both guns before I went to the store but really hadn't made up... my mind. looked at them both and based on the great discussion I had with the salesman, decided on the Browning. Both guns felt good, it really was a toss-up. So far I have been out with it 5 times and run about 550 rounds of ammo through it. The gun ran flawlessly until I came across Federal Champion HP 36g. I was ready to blame the gun for the poor feeding until I went back to Remmington ammo and had no problems. The Federal ammo is so bad, I was averaging one jam per 2 to 3 rounds plus 3 misfires in the first 50 rounds. I examined each misfire, the pin clearly hit the rim but no boom.Bad ammo aside, the gun makes me look like I know what I'm doing. Excellent balance, very little recoil, super crisp and light trigger. Single and double handed grip feels fantastic. The slide lock and safety are both easily reached by my left thumb ( I'm a righty). My go to gun is an M&P Pro Series 9mmL CORE. Not anymore. I enjoy the Browning too much. The price is reasonable and the gun is a load of fun. I would recommend it to anyone looking to have fun. more

Went to Cabelas to buy a Ruger 10/45 and a really great salesman had me feel a few Rugers and then he asked if I was dead set on them. I asked what he would recommend and he handed me the Buckmark. It felt so good in my ...hand that I decided to buy it. Just got back from the range. What a great gun. Shot different brands of ammo thru it and it shot everything with no problems, even a box that was probably 25 years old. Also, it is a very accurate gun. This is a great gun and I would highly recommend it. more

    Buckmark Camper
I went to the Cabela's in Hamburg PA to look at the Browning 1911 22. I was fairly certain that this was the gun I wanted. After seeing it in person and feeling it in my hand, I just wasn't comfortable with it. With a ex...treamly helpful salesperson I went through all the similar 1911 22lr that they had. After going back and forth on several guns, he handed me the Buckmark. This gun was so far from what I was looking for that I hadn't payed any attention to it.As soon as I had it in my hand, it felt like it belonged there. You ever have a handgun that felt like a extension of your arm? Well, this is it. It felt so natural to me that even though it was not what I went shopping for, I had to have it.Got the gun home, cleaned it and headed out back to put some bulk Remingtons through it. No jams, no misfires in 50 rounds and the first 10 rounds were in a 4 inch group. I am sure the gun would have put a tighter group together but I consider what I got outstanding for me.If you are looking for a 22 semi automatic, dont make the mistake that I almost made and pass it up. Put it in your hand and you will become a instant fan of it like I didThanks to the great advise from a very knowledgeable salesman at Cablea's I now have another fine Browning handgun. more

    Buckmark .22LR Outstanding
I know most of the reviews are from newer owners so I thought I would add my .02. I have owned the Browning Buckmark Micro .22LR semiauto pistol since 1994. This One Get's 'em Coming Back for More
Browning Buckmark WOW! This is a sweet shooter! It feeds everything I've put in the mag. Very seldom do I get a failure to feed or eject. And that is usually after everybody, and I mean everybody has run 50 to 60 rounds ...a piece through it. A drop of oil and a pass with the bore snake and she is off and running again. This little jewel shoots the cheap stuff and keeps shooting it.The Buckmark is a stout little "son of an engineering wonder". It has some heft to it. Feels like you are holding some thing much bigger.Trigger has a nice crisp break to it. Sights are not fancy but work well. The grips are probably one of the nicer features on this fine little weapon. It seems that everyone is comfortable with them. This the pistol that I start young'uns and new shooters on. They get it real quick. They come back for more. The rough part of owning this shooter is that it does not take down easily for the new comer. You need a set of allen wrenches to do more than running a bore snake and spraying with action cleaner. After the first couple of times it is a snap, but those first few times can be intimidating. Check out some videos on line from your favorite video site to get the low down on the cleaning. It makes it much simpler. The other minor peeve is it comes with one mag. Additional magazines are common, but not cheap. I don't need gazillions of 'em, the Browning is not first choice for a defensive shooter, but hey, two in the box would be decent Browning. (Hope they read these things)I have several thousands of rounds through mine and it is as tight as the day I brought it home. The Browning is well built. We are talking T-A-N-K well built. It is much cheaper to shoot than some other temporarily mental makes out there. It is accurate. Yep! Real accurate. Great pistol to train and teach with. Kids love to shoot it. Heck fire I love to shoot it. It has a permanent spot in the range bag.Pick it up, handle it, give it the once over, put it down and go look at other .22 shooters. You to will come back to it. Everybody I know does. It may cost you a few more dollars, but it is gonna be worth it.Alright let's get some ammo and go shootin'! Catch ya at the range. more

    Excellent Pistol
Exactly what you would expect from Browning. Great initial quality, fires flawlessly and fits my hand perfectly. 1000 rounds through it and no issues. Another plus, mine didn't come with excessive amounts of packaging gr...ease that needed to be cleaned off. If you are looking for a rim fire pistol, you won't be disappointed with this one. more

    Fun time at the range!!
My neighbor and I recently attended a gun and knife show. He was looking for an inexpensive .22 semiauto handgun that he could spend some time at the target range and not go broke paying for expensive ammo. We looked at ...a Ruger .22 Mark III 22/45 and he subsequently bought one later at Cabela's. I accompanied him to pick it up with the thought that I may buy one like it. But he bought the last one and there were no more in stock. The Cabela's clerk showed me a .22 Browning BuckMark. I loved it immediately and bought it and an extra magazine. My first trip to the range told me the sights were slightly off which I corrected. Next trip I was dead center on target on the first shot. I love this gun!! Very little recoil and very accurate. I've fired perhaps 200 rounds so far with no misfires with Remington Cyclone ammo. It's a great plinker gun! more

    Buckmark std
Love the grip and comfort over any other pistol. Sights are sound and very accurate! Did have a few ejection issues with CCi, Federal, and winchester ammo. Overall good gun, definitely will continue to plink.

    Good Gun
This is a good gun for the price. The barrel is nice and heavy and stays on target shot after shot. The grip feels nice in the hand. My wife loves to shoot it as well.

This gun is a pleasure to shoot. I bought the camper matte black model. It is extremely comfortable in your hand. The sights are clear, it is easy to acquire your target, and most importantly, it is deadly accurate. I or...iginally bought this gun just to save money -- my son was costing me a fortune in 9mm ammo. But now, both my wife and my daughter enjoy shooting this gun. They consistently hit 8 inch steel plates at 50 yards. I cannot recommend this gun enough -- it's just fun to shoot. more

    Buckmark UDX
Bought mine on the web and sold it in less than a year. It's a beautiful gun and fits perfect in the hand. BUT.....too many jams and misfires with 7 types of ammo even CCI MiniMag. Plus you can not strip in down as the m...anual shows. I called Browning and they said not to follow the manual. I sold it to Cabela's for a little loss but glad to get rid of it. I bought a Sig 22 cal and no problems with any type ammo.Do yourself a favor and check the reviews on OTHER gun sites. There you may see more of the negatives! more

    Best plinker
I just bought my 2nd Buckmark pistol. I had one for almost 20 years, and couldnt miss. I bought the new trail light model. WOW soo light and balanced, and with a red dot scope, awesome. I have another brand that this is ...always compared to, but this is alot more comfortable, and seems more balanced. I highly recommend you get one of these if you are looking for an accurate ,excellent, reliable pistol. more

    Great Gun!
I was in the market for a .22 pistol for the range. I read numerous reviews of various makes. In the end it was between the Ruger MK III and the Browning Buckmark . . . until I held the Buckmark Camper Stainless URX in m...y hand. It is incredibly well balanced and with the URX grip this gun fits quite comfortably in my hand. As far as performance goes, this gun can't be beat! It's accurate right out of the box. Several trips to the range and one thousand rounds later I still haven't experienced any FTF's or FTE's. The only problem is it is so much fun to shoot that my wife wants her own. I'm headed back to Cabela's for another Buckmark. more

Both my Buck Marks are awesome
I take many friends kids to the NRA Headquarters range. We shoot 500 rounds in each gun when we are there. The only time I have had a jaming issue is when I use the small remmington box of ammo. Two or three rounds seem jam. Buying the 500 round box I have no issue. Federal ammo is great. very clean ammo so your figers dont end up black. more

    Buckmark Hunter is accurate
I recently bought this pistol to replace my aging S&W41. I tested several different ammunitions- they all went bang and ejected properly. Federal Champion worked fairly well but my best groups were using 22 ammo from... the CMP (black-box). I put 5 shots into a target at 40+feet and covered the group with a dime!Dis-sum-bish iz aw-sum!!! What a blast!! more

    What a nice gun!!
Have put several thousand rounds through this gun. It works great with CCI ammo. Very rarely jams (unless you use bulk remington ammo!). My 12 year old daughter loves to shoot this with me. It is very well balanced and j...ust feels right in your hand. With CCI ammo I can shoot 3 inch groups from 50 feet with little trouble. I only wish it was as easy to field strip as my Glock. You need a hex wrench to take the slide and barrel off but I have done fine cleaning it with a bore snake after routine trips to the range. I have only broken it down totally once for a complete cleaning and it really didn't need it. more

    Browning Buck Mark Camper
just purshased my Browning and shot 250 rounds through it and it jammed at the last and broke the plastic rail on top right by the rear sight. very disappointed. overall the gun shot great, it was more accurate then my b...rothers Ruger MII. fits nice in the hand and fired 249 rounds without a hitch, but the 250th round it jammed and broke. i am sending it back to Browning to have that piece replaced. i like the gun enough that im going to give it another try. if it performs well again it will be worth what i paid for it. hopefuly it was just a defective part. more

    Great Pistol
I bought the Browning Buck Mark SS UPX pistol for my 13 year old son for plinking. The pistol is louder than expected, but it is a very reliable and feels good holding it. Very Satisfied
I was looking for the cheapest way to improve my shooting and teach the family how to shoot, which lead me to a .22 cal. After lots of internet and dealer research I was down to the Ruger Mark II/III and the Buckmark. Th...e Buckmark is easier to clean, longer barrels easier to buy (the Ruger barrels carry the s/n), and it felt better in my hand. While researching, I found a lot of used Rugers, but not many Buckmarks - I interpret that to mean people really like the gun and keep it. more

    Great product for good price
I've had the buck mark for about 3 months now and have put about a thousand rounds through it. This pistol is great on accuracy as well as dependability. Great gun for any learning shooter. The only disadvantage to the g...un that I have found is disassembly. It is not very fast to tear down and clean and you must have a few tools handy to do so. Other than that this is one of my favorites that I've shot. If you want a good accurrate gun that you can shoot all day and do not have to worry about jams with this browning Is definitely the one for you. more

    Great .22
Bought the standard stainless 5 1/2 a little over a year ago and have really enjoyed. Have probably put 1000 rounds through it. Top Notch Tack Driver
Recent purchase with several hundred rounds through it - functions without a hitch and is consistently accurate. Also looked at "Camper" model - liked the balance for Standard better. Be sure you look at the ul...tra grip version - far superior to regular grip - fits the hand well and helps maintain a consistent hold. Trigger feel is what you read in other reviews - smooth and easy. Was also looking at the Ruger Mark 3 Hunter - saw the Standard as a better value for the $$. more

    Great Pistol
Bought the Buck Mark Camper in Stainless with URX Grips and Tru Glo sight on July 4th 2010. Wow! I put 200 rounds (Federal American Eagle 40 grain LRN & Remington Golden Bullet 36 gr JHP) through it the next day at t...he range. It shoots nice tight groups out of the box. No failures to load, fire or eject. The trigger is what all triggers should be. Nice crisp break, with a positive reset. Take up and overtravel are minimum. The front Tru Glo sight is very welcome for my old eyes and makes it easy to line up in low light.Disassembly for cleaning is much easier than with the Ruger Mark III, but not quite as easy as the S&W 22A. Remove the rear screw on the rear sight, loosen the barrel hold down screw just ahead of the trigger guard, and the barrel, with the rear sight attached lifts right out. Pull the slide back 1/2 inch or so, and lift the spring out, then lift off the slide. My wife shot a couple of magazines through the Buck Mark the following week (along with my 230 rounds) and absolutely loved it (other than the slide biting her when she hit the slide lock lever). She wanted a Walther P22, but she's now reconsidering and adding the Buck Mark to her short list. All together, we've put 450 rounds (250 Rem. GB JHP, 100 Fed. AE LRN, 50 Fed Lightning LRN, and 50 Rem Thunderbolt) with zero failures. The Buck Mark is a lot fun to shoot. I would recommend the Buck Mark to everyone. more

    great handgun
I bought the Camper - Stainless URX, this gun feels as good in the hand as it shoots. I have owned a couple of Mark II's in the past but this Buckmark puts them to shame. The grips and the grip angle feel much better. Wh...en taking aim the rear and front sights have less gap than the Mark II's did, the proof is on the paper. This is Browning quality at it's best. If you're in the market to purchase a rimfire autoloader take a look at the Buckmark, you won't be disappointed. more
