Amazing gun and I hear its low key made by Norinco which is awesome. Give us back Norincos and Polytech Legends lol gun comes drenched in grease so get ready to clean. The action is pretty stiff but with a little bit of ...polishing and spring cutting if you want it grandma easy. I dropped mine and one of the barrels bent a little so I heated the area with a lighter for about a minute and bent it back in place. A little bit of sanding & polishing made the barrel like new again. The gun is Chinese yes but don't forget the Chinese invented the gun. The metal is nice and solid. The gun doesn't feel too big in your hands even with its 20inch barrel it feels more like an 18inch barrel shotgun would feel like in your hands. Great gun but watch a couple of cleaning and polishing videos on it and make a great gun even better. Affordable heavy duty coach gun, just needs a good cleaning when she arrives. Would recommend it for sure. more

Quality of my JW2000 12ga. was actually nice all around. Wood looked great, blueing was thin but complete. Its heavy... 8lbs. The action is stiff but it will loosen up. The gun came dripping with so much oil. I cleaned i...t up and ran some slugs, and 00/ buck, its got some kick. Surprised with how heavy it is. Put a sling and shell holder on it. Now its ready to go. Not sure Ill run any heavy loads through it, because of the things Ive heard, buldging barrels, cracked stocks. But I might. I got Buds lifetime warranty. But for now just 2 3/4. Hell that's plenty. All in all I'm happy with my coach gun. Its a great bedside security gun. And it puts a smile on my face. And that's all that matters Right? more

This is a really cool shotgun, I spent a half hour with jewelers files and emery cloth to tune up the break action a bit and now its smooth and functions perfectly. I dont think I would take one to combat but its still a... really cool shotgun. more

a heavy, solid, beast of a gun.But that's how it SHOULD be! This gun in intimidating just holding it.It performs all its functions, the few that there are. Being a little heavy helps with the recoilI It is accurate as it ...needs to be out to about 30 feet..There are a slew of low recoil ,quality 12 gauge shot or slug shells on the market which pairs up well with this basic beauty.Put a sling on her and you"ll feel like you are in the GODFATHER movie! more

Well, I was more than pleased with both the product I received and with Bud's facilitating of same. The shotgun was better looking than I had expected. Like all the reviews I read said, it was a little stiff to break at ...first but after some use and a good cleaning it works perfect now. I'v put about 40 shells through it; slugs, 00-buck and some bird shot and all went well. It kicks like a mule with them slugs and 00-buck. I made a leather sling for it and I wrapped the trigger guard in deerskin for some flavoring. It looks fantastic hanging on my den wall. Only wish it was MADE IN AMERICA for that price. Never gonna happen though. more

Very happy with this Shotgun. Like others I found the gun in a rough unfinished state. Cleaned all the cosmoline off of it and got out the mill bastard file, and Dremel with polishing pads and compound. After about 30 mi...nutes of polishing the break open points this gun opens and closes perfect. It shoots great and is a great edition to my Old West collection. Great for the price. more

This shotgun is definitely decent for the money, comes with quality wood, yet a hammer screw did come loose on me as well as a few spurs on the steel that could have been finished better (grinded off). This thing operate...d flawlessly I even tried some magnum 3" shells in it, its surprisingly smooth on the 2 3/4 shells with both triggers and the butt pad is a quality shock absorber. While I'm not impressed that it says made in china all huge on both barrels, it operates great. Needs a lot to work the action into being able to move smooth super tight had to open it over my knee a few times like I was breaking a stick. Got a lot smoother with a hundred rounds through it, but not perfect. Had a buddy that worked at big 5 tell me these were the ones they always have on sale for under $200 when they are on sale (he remembered hand writing the ZZ town). May be a Norinco from some of the research I did. Could use some refinishing but super nice for the price. more

Brushed it down with Mineral Spirits, wiped it down real good. Ran a rope down the barrels with oil, wiped the rest of the weapon with light oil. Used Battle Born Grease on the pivot point of the barrels and the receiver..., put it in a vise and worked it for about 15 mints. Took it to the range and shoot 2 boxes, 00Buck and Slugs. It opens like butter now and closes with one hand! Great Buy, IMO more

Some times i feel a 3 star is bad... other hand 5s are not a good reviews. Like most people that love gun no matter what they are they cant wait. This was my first personaly owned sidexside. I have had to do some work on... the action right out of the box. As most reviews the ejector needs help... as mine would not even take the high or low brass walmart wonders agian as most review say. The break is ruff too... with a little TLC those Really smart people in china forgot to put in the box. Its a great gun. The best part we had as a real "LOL" at the shop over was the child safty lock that as was nice bright red and was for only one triger. No matter what we did one was left able to fire. Good thing i teach my kids firearm safty. Things to have when getting this gun would be a jewlers file ,brass punch, light hammer, and an assorated wet dry sand paper from the auto/paint department at walmart total cost about $25. Its worthit and so much more. But remember no matter what gun you get, do what you feel you can if not let a gunsmith do it. Learn on a cheap kit gun if you want to learn things yourself... then hang it up if in fails. more

This shotgun is truly an example of "you get what you pay for" It's very ugly, there is laser inscribed words on the barrel, the cracking action the load the shotgun is very stiff even after putting 25 rounds through it..., and each trigger feels like it has a different pull. Besides that, the shotgun hasn't misfired on me or done anything crazy. This is a functional double barrel shotgun at the end of the day, therefore i give it a thumbs up, more

This is a really sweet coach gun. You need to do a little polishing on the on the elbow joint to get it to open easy and the action takes a little while to work in so it opens up without sticking. Really fun to shoot.

Great buy for cowboy action starter shotgun, If you are on a budget, have patience to break in the gun yourself, resist "buyers remorse" and negative advise from friends, you'll have a fine, reliable shooter. I broke it ...open about 100 times. It starts stiff and tight as Utube claims. At the range, first two shots, I couldn't open the gun more then an 1/8 of an inch w/out great effort. After a box of target loads, she became sweet and pleasure to shoot. Patience and practice. Great buy for my budget. Happy shooter, now. more

I was very hesitant on this purchase because of being from china. Turned out to be a great little house gun. Gun arrived in a plain cardboard box lying in a styrofoam insert. It was so dirty inside and out. There was chu...nks of styrofoam crammed down the barrels. It is easy to break down and got a good deep cleaning. The break action was so stiff but has loosen up a bit after a good cleaning and firing a few rounds through it. Overall I'm happy with it. Looks good and shoots good. more

I bought his shotgun to have the stock duplicated as I already have one that split the buttstock at the receiver after firing a couple factory 2 3/4in Turkey loads, then upon later trying to open the action with spent ca...rtridges causing the action to stick the buttstock broke completely away from the receiver. As for this shotgun the receiver is hard to open but will loosen with use and lubrication. The barrel sling swivel is loose and missing one of the screws that attach it. I can tell that it was test fired as the barrels are dirty. All in all it's about what I expected already owning one of these firearms. They will make great little guns to play with an I think will work well for Cowboy action events after getting the bugs worked out. If your wanting a shotgun that will work great out of the box I would suggest that you get what you pay for. more

We have been looking for an expensive external hammer .12 gauge and I was skeptical of this gun due to the price as most guns like this are twice the price. The action is really tight and hard to open but after about 30 ...rounds, it started to loosen up. The wood stock is actually very nice but the quality of the metal is average to below average and the gun was covered with a preservative gel. In addition, there's a tremendous amount of markings stamped in the metal in large print, which take away from the appearance of the gun. But considering the price and the fact that I have had no FTFs, and given the fun factor of firing two barrels at once, I give it a 5. I own a lot of guns and this is an excellent value and would actually make a very nice self-defense shotgun. more

This was my very first order from Buds. My Dad has always wanted a double barrel coach shotgun with the actual hammers. {he is big into old cowboy movies}. He has looked for years, only to find them for way out of our pri...ce range, if at all. about that time I started searching the internet. I was surprised to even find out you could buy a gun online. So I checked out Buds and found found out that they were legit. I read all the rules, then I took the plunge and bought it. The damn thing was here the very next day. The FFL dealer called me and I had to look him up on my gps and get a ride, as Im disabled, and off we went. This gun is so beautiful, I mean the wood work was so outstanding..... My dad Immediately started complaining about us spending too much money on him. So I was actually forced to tell him how little it cost. he polished it up and mounted it over the hallway entrance, and it has never moved. I dont know for sure if it even fires yet, but I've bought a few guns for myself from the same manufacturer, from Buds since then, and they have all been spot on. I am now on gun number 6. If you want a quality product, you have found the place. more

This is not a bad shotgun. Fit and finish were better than expected for the price. The break action is very tight but a break in of 25 light target loads smoothed it out nicely. It appeared that the receiver portion of ...the gun had been dropped at some point and there was a small whammy ding on the outer edge of the break pivot point. A little sanding and repainting took care of it. If I had paid more for the gun I would have been more annoyed with the damage. All in all it was well worth the price even with the minor issues. Put some shot downrange before complaining about the tight break action! Buds as always was fast free shipping and problem free! more

This is a PROJECT GUN. On my first outing with it it jammed after the firing the first 2 shells. The action would not open (!) until I dug out the left shell from the chamber with a pocket knife. I also noticed some ratt...ling inside the gun, which turned out to be a loose screw that keeps the safety functioning properly. I had to do some research to disassemble the gun and fix the loose screw so the safety wouldn't jam (this will also prevent firing). To prevent the gun from jamming shut, I also had to file down the chambers so the shotgun shells would not stick. After all of this I finally have a decent smooth-bore scatter-gun. The finish seems to wear off very fast, so now that I know how to completely rebuild this thing, I might paint it. If you can handle all of that (I actually enjoyed it) it's a beast of a shotgun. more

This shotgun is typical of what is manufactured in China. There are good points and bad points and is of average quality. This shotgun is good for home defense and is double safetied because of the exposed hammers. The g...un would also be fine for the shotgun leg of "Cowboy Action Shooting" competitions. The break action is stiff and would have to be worked and refined to make it suitable for this application. more

Great SxS for the money Love the way the hammers work where they must be fully cocked before the inner-safety allows them to strike the firing pin on trigger release. Good patterns with all forms of 12 guage. Be prepared... for a punch in the shoulder if you light off both barrels at once. Recommend for selective hunting, but definitely for home defense. more

This is a nice shotgun for the price. The only problem I have with the gun is that the hammers are almost pointed and after just a few times pulling the hammers back my thumb was so sore I could hardly cock the gun again.... The top lever has a very sharp edge also and hurts the thumb too. The manufacturer should really work on the hammers and top lever to make them more user friendly. more

Cool shotgun, it's short and easy to use, the hammers make the gun in my opinion much cooler than a hammerless. You may want to find a new but pad for it because the one that it comes with may as well be a steel plate, e...specially when pulling both triggers at the same time. When I was on buds it noted that this would be a used gun, it is not, comes brand new with the manual. It's a great gun and I love it's aesthetics and the way it functions but I have one quarrel about the gun, it it 110{355c2601ffc9364bb7f152079b15e296fc95819243e23ec7e2edcb5f6ba2df25} made in china. What's not to love! Solid chinese made JW-2000. Very well kept surplus. Actually had more cosmoline than my Mosin Nagant. Can only fire slugs at my local range so I fired about 30 rounds of Winchester Ranger - 1 oz. Law ...Enforcement slugs. No issues. I love this gun. Her name is Bess. more

Gun was real tight to open and close and was also very sharp on the metal edges. After a good cleaning and oiling things seemed to loosen up. Wooden forward stock was poorly finished on the inside which also made assembl...ing the gun difficult. The gun is being used for Cowboy Action and shoots well. It's not going to win a beauty contest but when you pull the triggers it goes boom! more

I had no trouble cleaning my new shotgun. Was just what I thought I was ordering. Had no trouble assembling or checking my purchase out. All mechanical worked , no problems. Fired 6 #71/2 birdshot, 2 3/4". Shot like I ex...pected it to shoot, little more kick than I expected. This is the 2nd firearm I have purchased from Bud's. Their Great. Have suggested and will direct all to Bud's. Sincerely, James M. Suit more

This is an inexpensive good home defense shotgun. It fires well, and it is easy to maintain. The external hammers leave no doubt the ready to fire attitude of this firearm. While it is not the best Coach type shotgun ava...ilable, it is outstanding for the price charged. The weapon is fired prior to the customer receiving it and it will need a good cleaning upon arrival. more

I wanted a coach gun w/hammers. For no particular reason, I just wanted one. I looked locally and they were all sold out and so I went to the internet and I found one. I wasn't expecting much so I wasn't disappointed but... I was pleasantly surprised. It is rough, the wood to metal fit is hit or miss, where it hits it's real good and where it misses, i.e. around the hammer plates it's pretty sloppy. There is no smooth feel to the gun, the edges are sharp, the action is super tight and it is difficult to open and the block safety is so tight as to be unusable. When it is engaged there is no doubt the hammers will not move and also the finish is not pleasing however...that being said it comes with a recoil pad installed, as well as sling mounts. There is no creep to the trigger and it lets off nice and crisp and it shoots to point of aim. And one of the best points is it was $270.00 delivered. I will smooth, and polish and adjust it but I would have done that anyway. I bought it to keep the hallway from my bedroom clear and it is very satisfying to feel the hammers lock and cock. I can also look down at it and tell if it's cocked or not. more
