The action ran smooth and slick with reliable feed, function and ejection. I would however get a couple more spacers, as I found the LOP a tad short for my long arms. On that point, the thick recoil pad proved efficient and the rifle was not that kicky in the shoulder anyway. Bergara's B-14 Hunter Rifle is ideal for serious big-game hunters. It has a 4140 CrMo steel barrel, which features a matte blued finish, and is drilled and tapped. The molded synthetic stock is made of glass fiber reinforced polymer with bedded integral pillars for stability and enhanced accuracy. A SoftTouch coating gives the stock a soft, tacky feel that is easy to grip even in harsh weather. Its super-smooth B-14 Action, is a two-lug system with a Sako-style extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech to ensure a smooth feeding and extraction of the cartridge.
