Got this from my FFL today. The product was as described with 0 defects. Buds had my gun to me in under a week. This is a good gun but do not put Magpul 25rd mags with it because the mag chamber will not accept them. DPMS did a great job on this gun, order a 2 stage trigger and a Magpul PRS stock and you are gold. A++++++++++++++ ...more

I received my Recon (7.62x51) at my FFL dealer on the 6th business day from Buds, they held up their 3-7 day shipping promise which was awesome. Upon receiving the rifle I did notice that it only came with 1 magazine and the advertisement for this particular gun says it comes with 2 magazines and I believe Buds will honor their advertisement. As far as the rifle operating, it was flawless and very accurate with the Magpul flip up sights. The Recon is built extremely solid and with all the Magpul accessories that come already with the rifle it definitely is a money savor if you upgrade your rifles. The MOE grip feels great when firing and the gun ate all the ammo I fed it. Absolutely no complaints on the Recon or on Buds. A lot of ridiculous reviews out there on Buds and I for one have always had amazing service from them. They do a lot of volume so if you don't have patience you should probably buy from a local dealer and pay the extra couple hundred bucks by not going through Buds. I saved $250 on the Recon by going through Buds. Thanks Buds! I look forward to more purchases! ...more

First time internet purchaser, of any weapon, and the process went very smoothly. Definitely a positive experience purchasing through Buds Gun Shop. Also extremely pleased with the DPMS Recon .308. Cycled ammunition without any difficulty, from magazine to ejection. Actually mixed Winchester, Remington and Right To Bear Arms ammunition, with no difficulty. Easily maneuvered with the 16" barrel length. Did not find overall weight to be inhibiting. Made three enhancements; EOTech 552, Timney 4lb trigger and Troy Industries aluminum vertical combat grip. Made 1 1/4" groupings, at 50 yards, with no difficulty utilizing flip up sights and separately the EOTech. And I am not a professional shooter. ...more
