    Great carry pistol.
I've had this a week, only put 50 rounds through it so far, but it's great. Easy to handle, and very accurate to about 25 feet.

    Great gun. Love this gun.
This is my first Glock. Wanted a 380 and could not pass this one up. Love it. No issues to eject or feed. I added a threaded barrel. And plus 2 extensions and extended mags.

    Beyond Disappointed
Coughed up the extra money to get the Glock and it jams second shot! Talk about disappointing after spending ~$500 bucks. I then call Glock after it jams and jams and jams, send it in, wait 2 weeks, gun returned after th...ey ‘fixed’, go out and shoot ... it jams, first clip! Kind of just want my money back at this point. Would not recommend one bit. Paying for the Glock brand to have a gun that doesn’t shoot, have to spend time runnning to post office, waiting on returns, etc. Dissatisfied. more

This gun really does the job. Burglar broke into my house and I melted him in just 3 shots and his pulse was no where to be found. Great recommendation.

    Perfect Weapon Ladies
Hubby got for my birthday in June. Never owned or shot a pistol. Thought it was time I learn for protection purposes.Took a training safety class then my conceal class. I absolutely love it. Very small, easy to grip, eas...y to handle, and easy to conceal. Truth be told I was scared to own a gun, now one of my favorite pass time is going to the range. Glock 42/380 is the perfect gun for us females looking to learn and feel protected. Only thing I had to add was a grip extender because I have large hands and it make you grip n shoot so much better, they are cheap. My Glock fits in ever purse I own. Very happy with it! more

    My Little Friend!
Bought this little .380 as a backup gun. It is so light and easy to carry I find myself taking this out when not on the job, quite a bit, especially in hot weather. As far as issues, I have not had any with it. A female ...police officer I know has had lots of failure to feed issues. After watching her, she was limp wristing it. With correct grip, problem solved! I've also got a 43 now. Just a wee bit bigger and heavier. I just love my Glocks! But mind your grip!!! more

Great for carry and as long as you don't limp wrist it, it works like a charm every time. I have put about 1000 rounds through it and no problems whatsoever.

Pick this pistol up for my wife. She likes it, but always really liked our old Bulgaria "Makarov" 9x18. Just because it has a little more power, so did some research found a drop in 9x18 Makarov for the Gloc...k 42. And she loves it more. The 9x18 rounds work perfectly in the mag's and pistol flawlessly. Great up grade. more

    100 Percent Perfect !!!
Had for about a month, ran over 450 rounds of Remington, Winchester, and Blazer Brass range ammo and the G42 ate them all with zero issues. Ran the 99 grain HST Federal and the Hornady Critical Defense 90 grain with zero... issues as well. Bought this for my wife so I ran the heck out of it before giving it her to protect herself and my children. Felt recoil is low and the G42 shoots true. Trigger pull is a bit heavy, which is good for a carry pistol, but very crisp. You wont regret this purchase for a CCW. more

    Great Little Gun
Have tried several 380's. The Glock 42 is the best feeling and shooting one I shot. I bought a used Glock 42 for my warm weather carry gun. Very easy to conceal! The recoil is light and allows you to stay on target.... Three quick well placed shots are better than one well placed shot of the next caliber. Going to Academy tomorrow to purchase another 42 to keep in the house. My wife will practice with this one and will be available in the house if it is needed. This is an excellent gun for women, much easier on their wrist and less chance of a jam due to limp wristing the gun. more

    FTE Issue or not?
Bought Glock 42 a month ago. Been to range several times and thought I had an issue with the pistol failing to eject the spent round on the second shot. Tried different ammo, different magazines and still had same issue.... Spoke to range official and other shooter with same Glock 42 who was also having same issue. Turns out issue was my thumb hitting slide when weapon was ejecting cartridge. I am not the only one with this issue! Used extended mags and changed hand position. No further issues since. Be careful of hand position with this pistol! I didn't even know my thumb was obstructing slide movement... more

    Great for CCW permit holders
Before i purchased my Glock 42 i had read numerous reports of feed and ejection problems. I contacted Glock and was told my a tech that upgrades had been done to the 42 and told me what to look for before i made my purch...ase. Firts look at the mags if there is a 2 or other number below the serial number , it has been upgraded. Look inside at the slide releae and if it has a dash behind the serial number then the number 2, the pistol has the upgrades. My 42 was as he had told me what to look for. Mine has 450 rds thru it all various types of ammo with NO problems what so ever. He told me if the gun didnt have the upgrade numbers send it to Glock and they would up grade it. Bought the Glock 43 same day, it has 400 rounds no problems there either. I carry the 43 my wife carries the 42. Both are awesome more

    My New EDC
The G42 is a great gun for EDC. I've carried .380, 9mm, .40, .45. Each one requires good shot placement, regardless of power. The .380 allows better shot placement because of its lighter load. I was lucky enough to ...receive the latest version of the G42; revision 2. Early batches had feed issues with certain brands of ammo. This gun shoots really well for a subcompact. It is a rugged tool, like all Glocks, and will function with little maintenance. Great carry option for when you are wearing light clothes. You can replace the springs in the factory magazine with MagGuts, adding an extra round. These work great and continue to be fully reliable. I'd recommend this pistol to anyone who wants a super reliable, tough, accurate self defense EDC pistol. more

    Great concealed carry gun!
I bought this for my concealed carry weapon. My Glock 23 is just a bit much for IWB carry. The Glock 42 is perfect. It is almost as accurate as the .40 cal 23. I read a lot of reviews about how this gun is finicky about ...what ammo is used. I have shot about 200 rounds of the cheapest ammo I can find, and have had no problems. I'm going to get another one for my wife. This is a great gun! more

    Nice little gun
I finally got one of these guns, as they have been hard to find due to the popularity. Very happy with it. Unlike a lot of other .380s I've shot, this one actually feels good in the hand. I am waiting for magazine e...xtensions to hit the market, as the grip is a bit short to be fully comfortable for me, but I knew that going in. My wife and mother both love it as-is, so smaller hands will like it bone stock. This is a great little gun for concealing and having a decent round. It's not a 9 or 40, but it's not intended to be. It's a well-built, small, concealable firearm that has little kick and is as accurate as anything I've shot in the same class. It's a LOT more comfortable than most other guns in the class, as well. more

My wife just got her CHL and was wanting a pistol a little smaller than my Glock 22. So we got her this Glock 42. Light and Accurate
First I'm not Glock fan but i decided to buy this baby since i was looking for a 380 pistol and the Beretta Pico is in the freeze.I have this litle glock for about 2 month and i have shot 200 rounds. what can I tell... is: 1. Very accuarte 2. No failure or jams 3. Confortable (ergonomic) 4. Really light, ideal ccw Like others I'm waiting for the 9mm single stack version. The only issue found is that some times when you reassemble it the recoil spring gets out of position and you have to dissasemble it again applying extra force, It's really scary. Four stars for now. more

It does not like Cheap Ammo
Pros: Feels great in hand. Low recoil. Accurate. Very light. Cons: It's not a 9mm, it does not like certain ammo. Other info: Monarch Ammo would not feed. Winchester and Remington worked great. If you like to shoot ...a lot, this gun feels better than any other subcompact 380 out there. It is a little bigger than most subcompacts but feels great in the hand. Very accurate for a 380 due to slightly longer barrel. I would recommend testing any self defense ammo thoroughly before you carry this as a self defense weapon. If it liked cheap target ammo, I would have given this 5 stars...but it don't. I did purchase this at Academy and had great service. more

Ordered this pistol in January of 2016, giving me a lot of time to review it. It shoots surprisingly well for the size. I have put hundreds of rounds through this pistol without a single issue. I also have the Remington ...RM380, (bought it for the price/rebate) unfortunately it had five or six failures to feed after only one hundred rounds with American Eagle (Federal) ammo. I love this gun. This is my edc as its size is very concealable but is still big enough to get a good grip on. I own several .380s and a drawback to every .380 I've ever shot is a long heavy trigger. The Glock 42 doesn't... have this problem. The trigger is very light, short, and smooth. Best factory trigger I've found on a .380 hands down. This is the second one I have purchased as I bought it for my wife to carry in her purse. We took it out of the box and ran 50 rounds through it without a hiccup. She loves it as well and was glad to replace her s&w bodyguard with it. Very accurate for it's size. I have put several hundred rounds through mine and it is just as reliable as a full size glock, but with a desantis nemesis holster can be easily carried in pocket, purse, or tucked in waistband. I like the .380 because I feel like the best gun a person can carry is one they will always carry. And I can carry the 42 in my pocket or tucked in the back of my pants and barely know it's there. So if you are like me and want an EDC that you can easily conceal and is reliable, accurate, and has a better trigger than many subcompact handguns with bigger price tags, you won't be disappointed by this little gun. As far as buying from buds, transaction was smooth as always. I feel that it shouldn't take 5 business days to process e-check, but if that's all I have to complain about I guess I have no complaints. Very easy to buy from and hard to beat prices. more

I bought this pistol for a very specific purpose, and only after watching quite a few totally ignorant YouTube "experts" bash the gun, and then testing its competition. Let me first say that Buds service was, as always, ...top notch. So why did I buy a Glock 42, rather than the more popular Glock 43? Because I'm a professional firearms instructor with 40 year's worth of experience carrying guns daily for work, and now that I am no longer in law enforcement, I specialize in training new shooters, all of them private citizens, in the defensive use of firearms. This Glock 42 is my "special needs" pistol. Here is what I mean by that. There are many people, including those of small stature, those with limited hand strength, and those who are simply recoil or noise sensitive, who would be better served with this pistol than almost any other handgun on the market, including all of the now popular micro-9mm pistols. I'm completely aware that the .380 ACP cartridge is not ideal from a defensive standpoint, and that care must be taken in ammunition selection, but in the hands of most private citizens, a .380 pistol that they are not intimidated by and which they shoot well, and feel they can operate competently even with limited strength, is a better choice than a "more effective" cartridge housed in a gun where those things are not true. I've now tested literally hundreds of shooters on the range, and to be honest, many of them simply do not shoot their new mini-9's very well under pressure. Further, many of my older and arthritic students can't reliably pull the slide back on a small 9mm pistol with its heavy springs, nor can they operate the 12 pound double action triggers found on many small five-shot .38 revolvers. Finally, the truly tiny micro-.380 pistols are virtually unshootable beyond bad breath range and offer only a false sense of security to most people. Enter the Glock 42. Yes, it is a bit large by today's standards for a .380, but that is what makes it so shootable. Yes, it is a .380 rather than a 9mm, but that is what makes it so controllable. And it has the easiest slide to pull back of any .380 pistol on the market except for perhaps the Sig P238, which must be carried cocked, presenting its own problems. My Glock 42 came out of the box weighing 13.8 ounces with an empty magazine installed. Fully loaded, it weighs exactly the same as an Airweight J-frame, but has two more shots in it and a faster reload. Its sights are much better than the revolver as well, and are easily changed if needed. My example had a 5.75 pound trigger pull from the factory, which is light enough. At 15 yards, the Glock 42 kept 13 rounds (two magazines full plus one in the chamber) inside 3 inches loaded with cheap FMJ, and mine was completely reliable and accurate with Speer Gold Dot hollow points. And unlike many small guns, it is fun to shoot, which means the new shooter will shoot it more. It has rapidly become the favorite gun in my classes among female shooters. I can pretty much shoot any gun I want but I can consistently turn in better scores on defense drills with the Glock 42 than I can with the Glock 43. It also carries neatly in a trouser pocket in a pocket holster. I'm very satisfied with mine for its intended purpose and I think if you give it a chance, you will be also. more

Feels great in the hand. My wife is able to shoot and load this thing with ease. Had some feeding and ejection issues the first time on the range. I kind of expected this, being a small caliber. After some extensive clea...ning and polishing, we had zero issues the next time. Great little gun and easy to conceal. more

I've order several firearms from Buds Gun Shop and the process has always been simple and the service top notch. This is my wife's gun and she loves the way it fits her hands and she's not terrified of the recoil. I know... that there are many gun guru's that insist that anything under a 9 mm is a waste of time and money when it comes to conceal carry and/or self defense but I'd venture to guess most of them have never been shot with a 380 or a 9 mm so just keep in mind that that's their untested opinion. I'm really surprised by all the .380 bashing I see on the internet but I feel confident that this caliber has been tested and proven to be lethal or it would not exist. Here's my opinion the best gun for conceal carry and/or self defense is the gun that you shoot the best and this gun is perfect for the person who prefer something that not too snappy or over-powering but can stop a threat. It's not always about having an OK Corral shootout in your home or business but instead it's about impeding or stopping a threat so that you or your family can get somewhere safe and call the police. I'm pretty sure this gun is capable of doing that and more.. Great gun at a very reasonable price and most importantly ....IT'S A GLOCK...What else do you need.... more

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. I carry a G43 and she loved shooting it so as she already had a 380 the G42 was the logical choice. She loves it. Bud's had by far the best price..

Great little pistol. I have put 450 rounds down range both FMJ and JHP without any malfunctions. I know there may have been some reliability issues with earlier G42s but the newer pistols seem to run great. It seems that... Glock corrected any issues. Do not hesitate to buy this little pistol. more

Nice lightweight pistol that is so comfortable to carry. 100 grain +p hardcast and hollow point bullets shoot great without stinging your hand. Buds did a great job of getting this shipped in a timely fashion during Xmas... rush. You can't beat Glocks. more

Great little pocket pistol. Runs good. Don't expect great accuracy beyond 5 yards, due to its size. It's a Glock, so you know it's going to go bang when you pull the trigger. This is my second Glock and I trust them with... my life. more

This is my fourth purchase from Buds and I am very pleased with their service. I contacted customer service in regards to how many magazines ship with the handgun (2 just in case you were wondering) and they responded in... hours. The shipping was as fast as I could have expected for a purchase just before a holiday weekend. Today my wife and I took it to the range and we both enjoyed how easy this little gun is to shoot. We did have a couple of hang ups when shooting some underwood +P ammunition. I have heard that the baby glock didn't like it and now I know. We shot regular ball rounds and some Lehigh Defence and Underwood (non +P) extreme penitaiter and it was awesome. The recoil is very mild. My wife has a tendency to flinch with my glock 22 and she still did with the 42 but she said that it was a soft shooter and preferred it over its big brother. This was going to be my carry gun but I think I will be ordering a second one soon. more

Although I have purchased several guns from Bud's this is my first Glock and I must say i like it alot. My wife and daughter also find it very easy to shoot and very accurate. The recoil is minimal and the sights are ver...y good. I had an LCP once and I did not like it at all, sights were horrible and gun was just too small for my hands. I figured all .380's would be that way but this is a nice balance between being easily concealed being user friendly. I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a compact .380 that is still fun to shoot. more

Glock 42, nice little package for conceal carry. .380 round is always controversial, but coupled with this little firearm, a very nice package. Bud's experience was very good. I paid a little more than I could have at my... gun shop I found out later, but overall I wouldn't change a thing! If you need a tough little conceal pistol, this is the one! You may need to get used to the trigger though, it's a little tougher than a traditional caliber Glock. You will need to retrain your trigger finger! Fit and finish very nice as usual from Glock and it's nice to see made in the USA stamped on the side. The choice of buying at buds was a good one! You owe it to yourself to give online a try! Good luck! more

After owning and shooting the Glock 42, I think its the best .380 ACP in its size category. It feels good in the hand (Pinky under the Mag) and the felt recoil is non existant. My nine year old son loves shooting it as d...oes my wife. I would highly recommend this gun if you are looking for a small frame .380 or if you just like collecting cool guns. more

It's a Glock. Feels, looks and operates like the rest of the models. Upon receiving, I couldn't pull the slide back. Opened up, lots of rust along the slide grooves. Brushed, cleaned up, lubed and took the G42 out for a ...run. Performed flawlessly as expected. Fits very nicely in your palm. My LCP will not see the light of day now and a lighter carry than my P238. This will be my new go to pocket pistol. Trigger is great, very little recoil. Very happy with the purchase. more

Purchased 2 of these. Buds service was great as usual. The first thing that was noticed was the trigger pull. Though they (Glock) advertise a traditional Glock 5.5 lb trigger pull (on the glock website, literature, etc.)... it is MUCH heavier. I'm estimating it to be 9-10 lbs. When I had to send it in for numerous issues on both pistols (more to come later) I was told by the Glock representative that that it was a mistake b/c it was suppose to be designed with a heavy pull and for some reason it was not updated yet (still on the website today, 9/28/2014). I was very disappointed with this and had I have known this I would've never made the purchases. In addition to the trigger pull the guns failed to cycle and/or eject multiple casings of 3 different brands of ammo, on both guns. Heard this was relatively common on many blogs though they denied it on the phone. The failures were nearly ever shot or every other and I was forced to send back to glock. Their turn time was fast and I just ran about 100 rounds through with no issue in one of the guns. Will hope for the same thing with the second one. Overall very disappointed with Glock on this one. Never had any issues with my other Glocks so this was surprising. Gave 3 stars ONLY b/c buds service is so good. more

Great little shooter and very accurate with the lightest felt recoil of any 380 I have ever shot. Only thing that I wish is that the electronic checking wait time for team buds members was waived, I have made several pur...chases and want to get the 3{2caeadea484b41138f5d109f27a844c3402dbc9fdb0fc5968b2cd6d592593ab8} not added to the purchase price so have to wait an extra 5-10 days before it is released to ship. The gun however is excellent!!! more

Great little gun. Recoil is... nonexistent!!!!! Kicks way less than my previous .380 (Bersa). Not small enough to call it a micro, but tiny anyways and easy to conceal (not to mention that it's super lightweight). Took i...t to the range after a good cleaning and it proved to be very accurate. Reliability is outstanding as well. I shot 200 rounds of Aguila HPs, had no malfunctions whatsoever and many groups consisted of all shots touching (7 yds). Excellent service by Buds, and thank you for making it available (and delivering) so quickly. Very happy customer here. more
