    Great carry pistol.
I've had this a week, only put 50 rounds through it so far, but it's great. Easy to handle, and very accurate to about 25 feet.

    Beyond Disappointed
Coughed up the extra money to get the Glock and it jams second shot! Talk about disappointing after spending ~$500 bucks. I then call Glock after it jams and jams and jams, send it in, wait 2 weeks, gun returned after th...ey ‘fixed’, go out and shoot ... it jams, first clip! Kind of just want my money back at this point. Would not recommend one bit. Paying for the Glock brand to have a gun that doesn’t shoot, have to spend time runnning to post office, waiting on returns, etc. Dissatisfied. more

    Perfect Weapon Ladies
Hubby got for my birthday in June. Never owned or shot a pistol. Thought it was time I learn for protection purposes.Took a training safety class then my conceal class. I absolutely love it. Very small, easy to grip, eas...y to handle, and easy to conceal. Truth be told I was scared to own a gun, now one of my favorite pass time is going to the range. Glock 42/380 is the perfect gun for us females looking to learn and feel protected. Only thing I had to add was a grip extender because I have large hands and it make you grip n shoot so much better, they are cheap. My Glock fits in ever purse I own. Very happy with it! more

    My Little Friend!
Bought this little .380 as a backup gun. It is so light and easy to carry I find myself taking this out when not on the job, quite a bit, especially in hot weather. As far as issues, I have not had any with it. A female ...police officer I know has had lots of failure to feed issues. After watching her, she was limp wristing it. With correct grip, problem solved! I've also got a 43 now. Just a wee bit bigger and heavier. I just love my Glocks! But mind your grip!!! more

Pick this pistol up for my wife. She likes it, but always really liked our old Bulgaria "Makarov" 9x18. Just because it has a little more power, so did some research found a drop in 9x18 Makarov for the Gloc...k 42. And she loves it more. The 9x18 rounds work perfectly in the mag's and pistol flawlessly. Great up grade. more

    100 Percent Perfect !!!
Had for about a month, ran over 450 rounds of Remington, Winchester, and Blazer Brass range ammo and the G42 ate them all with zero issues. Ran the 99 grain HST Federal and the Hornady Critical Defense 90 grain with zero... issues as well. Bought this for my wife so I ran the heck out of it before giving it her to protect herself and my children. Felt recoil is low and the G42 shoots true. Trigger pull is a bit heavy, which is good for a carry pistol, but very crisp. You wont regret this purchase for a CCW. more

    Great Little Gun
Have tried several 380's. The Glock 42 is the best feeling and shooting one I shot. I bought a used Glock 42 for my warm weather carry gun. Very easy to conceal! The recoil is light and allows you to stay on target.... Three quick well placed shots are better than one well placed shot of the next caliber. Going to Academy tomorrow to purchase another 42 to keep in the house. My wife will practice with this one and will be available in the house if it is needed. This is an excellent gun for women, much easier on their wrist and less chance of a jam due to limp wristing the gun. more

    My New EDC
The G42 is a great gun for EDC. I've carried .380, 9mm, .40, .45. Each one requires good shot placement, regardless of power. The .380 allows better shot placement because of its lighter load. I was lucky enough to ...receive the latest version of the G42; revision 2. Early batches had feed issues with certain brands of ammo. This gun shoots really well for a subcompact. It is a rugged tool, like all Glocks, and will function with little maintenance. Great carry option for when you are wearing light clothes. You can replace the springs in the factory magazine with MagGuts, adding an extra round. These work great and continue to be fully reliable. I'd recommend this pistol to anyone who wants a super reliable, tough, accurate self defense EDC pistol. more

    Great concealed carry gun!
I bought this for my concealed carry weapon. My Glock 23 is just a bit much for IWB carry. The Glock 42 is perfect. It is almost as accurate as the .40 cal 23. I read a lot of reviews about how this gun is finicky about ...what ammo is used. I have shot about 200 rounds of the cheapest ammo I can find, and have had no problems. I'm going to get another one for my wife. This is a great gun! more

    Light and Accurate
First I'm not Glock fan but i decided to buy this baby since i was looking for a 380 pistol and the Beretta Pico is in the freeze.I have this litle glock for about 2 month and i have shot 200 rounds. what can I tell... is: 1. Very accuarte 2. No failure or jams 3. Confortable (ergonomic) 4. Really light, ideal ccw Like others I'm waiting for the 9mm single stack version. The only issue found is that some times when you reassemble it the recoil spring gets out of position and you have to dissasemble it again applying extra force, It's really scary. Four stars for now. more

    Sweet Shootin' Little Power House
This is my second .380 but my first Glock. Though my hands are XL, this gun is very comfortable to me.The recoil is surprisingly minimal. I am able to rapid fire accurately, a bit faster than with my 9mm SIG and much fas...ter than with my .40 S&W M&P. This gun is comfortable to carry with a "Uncle Mike's" holster, inside the waistband, even when dressed for the gym. Nice little gun
I finally got one of these guns, as they have been hard to find due to the popularity. Very happy with it. Unlike a lot of other .380s I've shot, this one actually feels good in the hand. I am waiting for magazine e...xtensions to hit the market, as the grip is a bit short to be fully comfortable for me, but I knew that going in. My wife and mother both love it as-is, so smaller hands will like it bone stock. This is a great little gun for concealing and having a decent round. It's not a 9 or 40, but it's not intended to be. It's a well-built, small, concealable firearm that has little kick and is as accurate as anything I've shot in the same class. It's a LOT more comfortable than most other guns in the class, as well. more

It does not like Cheap Ammo
Pros: Feels great in hand. Low recoil. Accurate. Very light. Cons: It's not a 9mm, it does not like certain ammo. Other info: Monarch Ammo would not feed. Winchester and Remington worked great. If you like to shoot ...a lot, this gun feels better than any other subcompact 380 out there. It is a little bigger than most subcompacts but feels great in the hand. Very accurate for a 380 due to slightly longer barrel. I would recommend testing any self defense ammo thoroughly before you carry this as a self defense weapon. If it liked cheap target ammo, I would have given this 5 stars...but it don't. I did purchase this at Academy and had great service. more

    Glock home run!
After carrying other 380's appendix this is by far the best one yet. Small, light weight and has the perfect grip for me. Definitely lives up to the Glock reputation of solid reliability.

This is a great gun!

Totally satisfied with this Glock 42 and especially with the sales guy at Academy for helping me to secure it. more

    Glock42 a great conceal weapon
I purchased a Glock 42 about 2 months ago. I have only fired about 125 rounds thru it. It has a minimal recoil and is very accurate. I would recommend it for a man or woman for conceal carry. My wife also fired it and li...ked it. It was easy to break down to clean. Loaded with Critical Defense ammo I feel it is a great close range personal defense weapon. more

    Perfect .380
This is the perfect .380!!!!! It is very light and accurate. I took it straight to the range and shot about 150 rounds with no jams at all. It is very smooth to shoot and fits great in my hand better than my G26. You wil...l absolutely love it!!! more

It's a LOT more comfortable than most other guns in the class, as well. more

    Great little Gun
My wife just got her CHL and was wanting a pistol a little smaller than my Glock 22. So we got her this Glock 42. We put 250 rounds down range the other night and we had on jam up when she first fired it. But it responde...d perfect for the rect of the night. We used two different types of rounds to make sure that didn't make a difference. The pistol shot very true with little to no kick. Very nice hand gun for concealment. more

    Switch
Pick this pistol up for my wife. She likes it, but always really liked our old Bulgaria "Makarov" 9x18. Just because it has a little more power, so did some research found a drop in 9x18 Makarov for the Gloc...k 42. And she loves it more. The 9x18 rounds work perfectly in the mag's and pistol flawlessly. Great up grade.

Four stars for now. more

    It's ok
I'm going to have to adjust the rear sight. At 25' it shoots 3" to the left. I have the 42 and a basic P238. The P238 was $500.00, but I prefer it.

I did purchase this at Academy and had great service. more

Dissatisfied. more

    Unreliable
Lots of issues with failure to feed. Sent back to Glock already. This did no resolve the issue. Some ammunitions are worse than others, but the bottom line is that the gun is not reliable. I would never use for a conceal... carry gun. I am not the only one with these issues, google Glock 42 feed issues. more

    glock 42 not reliable
purchased the glock 42 on January 10 2016 for my wife to conceal carry. At the range could not complete 6 rounds with out FTE or FTF. Sent to factory after 100 rounds. Got the pistol back with no explanation of what they... did. Called the factory they could not tell me what was wrong. At the range the problem has improved slightly. The gun feels great in the hand but is not reliable enough to allow my wife to use this as a CW. Will research alternatives more
