Critic Consensus
A spring detent or catch on the front part of the cocking lever support locks it in place in the cocking lever support housing. If it doesnt lock in place it can move back into the action during firing and potentially cause a malfunction. Again, riding the cocking lever forward can prevent the support from properly locking in place. Read critic reviews...

H&K MP5 Description
The Heckler & Koch MP5 is a slightly modified version of the HK54 designed by a group of H&K engineers: Tilo Mller, Manfred Guhring, Georg Seidl and Helmut Baureuter. The MP5 is a 9mm selective fire, roller-delayed blowback submachine gun made in Heckler & Koch factory in Oberndorf am Neckar, Germany. The MP5 is one of the most widely used submachine guns in the world, so until today over 100 variants of the MP5, including a semi-automatic version were made. Today it is used by many special forces and SWAT teams in many countries. The MP5 has a hammer firing mechanism, free floating cold hammer-forged barrel, adjustable iron sights (Rear: rotary drum; Front: hooded post), 15 or 30 rounds detachable magazines and it fires from a closed bolt (bolt forward) position.Technical Data
