HK G11 Description

What happens when a bunch of NATO countries ask for an infantry rifle with a delayed recoil impulse?  The Germans whip out their notes on space magic, they glue together a bunch of leftover takeout containers, and they throw in a bunch of gears and cogs from a Swiss watch and call it a rifle!
The G11 is a prototype select-fire rifle made by Heckler & Koch, GmbH that fires proprietary caseless ammunition.  Development of the G11 began in 1968 and was discontinued in 1990 after being tested by a handful of NATO countries including the United States.
