Have bought several guns from Buds and they know their business. Now for the review. I have been shooting handguns for 60 years. To shoot the new sub compacts you have to know how to shoot. This is a excellent conceal ca...rry or even pocket pistol. Like all Kahrs follow the instructions. Recoil with 115gr is very Manageble. The slide spring is very stiff not sure someone with weak hand could rack the slide (instructions). This is not a target gun but a self defense weapon. At 15 yards you should be able to keep all 7 rounds in center mass even with the double action trigger only. Slide stays open after last shot fired and there is no safety but your finger. more

Honestly, the gun was too small to fit in my hands. I eventually sold this to a police officer friend of mine and he loves it. I bought a S&W M&P Shield 40 instead

perches this Kahr cm9 as a small conceal gun as my other are too big for summer carry, Buds had the best price fast shipping and I have had it for about three weeks shot over 200 rounds through it with no problems at all...!!! its so small it fits perfectly for appendix carry own a few 9mm and as of now this is my favorite so if your looking for a reliable small 9mm this is your gun ! thanks, Bud's more

Got a pretty good deal on this one. The frame feels kind of cheap compaired to the CW 45 I have . When I recieved the handgun I cleaned and oiled it. I then hand cycled the slide 100 times. I locked the slide back and le...t the pistol sit overnite. I have about 350 rounds thru it with out a single malfunction. It shoots really straight for such a short barrel. The groups tightened up as I put more rounds thru it. I am very satisfied with it. more

I purchased this firearm after many hours of reading reviews, watching videos, and seeking out complaints. After owning it for a few weeks, and putting around 400 rounds through it, I can say this little gun is my prefer...red choice for concealed carry. Pros - 19oz fully loaded - 9mm ammo price point - The gun feels incredibly solid. Other guns I have used/handled seem a little "loose". They make noises when you shake them. The Kahr feels like a single piece of metal. - Holster availability. Its hard to find relatively cheap reliable holsters for small guns. I found a kydex one after a single google search and it only cost me about $30. Cons - Due to how well the gun is built and how tightly everything fits together; the gun can be kind of a pain to get apart. - 6 1 rounds isn't ideal. - The cuts in the factory grips are deep. I understand the motivation for this. However, when I was breaking the gun in this led to my hands being torn up. They actually hurt for a few days afterwards. I bought some talon grips for around $11 which fixed this issue. more

I am very pleased with my purchase from buds. Transaction was smooth and I ended up with this great little firearm. The kahr CM9 has become my everyday carry gun. This was my personal carry firearm for 4 years until I upgraded to an FNS today and I could count on my hands how many days in that time I did not have it on me. I am 6'4 and 220lbs and a lot of times I would never feel ...it on my side. Its extremily compact and lightweight and it feed and fired all sorts of 9mm cartidges. For me at least, my particular one shot a few inches low around 10 yards but I learned to compensate. Dont get me wrong, theres a lot worse concealable 9mm and theres a lot better ones, but in my opinion, this is a perfect midrange, reliable, and effective firearm for someone on a budget. Only downfall was it only comes with 1 6-round mag but I was able to order a couple more. Great choice for anyone looking for a very concealable, reliable, cheaper cost but higher quality defense firearm. more

This is a quality firearm. It is very concealable and is a perfect carry gun. I really like to shoot this firearm. The trigger pull is long but extremely smooth, like hot butter. Perfect for carry. The only negative is t...hat the take-down is a little cumbersome but once you get used to it you don't mind. It is my favorite carry gun. Oh, and I can shoot it straight too. That's important for a small carry weapon. more

I have nothing but only good things to say about this pistol. Went for different reviews and opinions about it on YouTube before buying it and the decision was clear, I had to have it. It is a reliable subcompact good lo...oking gun pistol. It rides comfortable either on your waistband or an ankle holster. Very discreet, weights almost nothing and the price is fair for what it gives. During the two hundred rounds breaking period recommend I only had two failures to feed, after that it works perfectly, just keep it oiled as the rest of your guns. It is my concealed carry gun right now. more

This little 9MM is VERY concealable. It's a pocket gun for sure. The recoil is manageable. You get used to it after 2 or 3 magazines. The trigger has a long consistent pull and a very clean break. The grip is small and y...our pinky finger will not be on the grip. So be aware of that. On my first trip to the range I shot 100 rounds with zero malfunctions of any kind. It feed Hollow Points perfectly. It only comes with one magazine and they cost #30.00 on most sites. I got an extra one on Gunmagwarehouse.com / Ebay for $30.00 w/free shipping. Not much else to say. It's an accurate and reliable little gun. more

I own several kahr firearms most all of them I aquired from buds. I ordered my cm9 on a Sunday evening it arrived at my ffl on Wednesday. The cm9 is nice and compact the great thing about the cm9 is that it can be a pock...et pistol or carried as a primary. I run the extended 7 round mags so i have the added capicity and more stability in my hand. The first day at the range I found very good accuracy and not one failure. Yeah sure I will be honest I would have rather had the pm9 but i just couldn’t justify the price jump for a few minor upgrades. The Cm9 is a now a mainstay in my everday rotation. The break in problems associated with Kahrs handguns such as the p380 and the cw380 is not the same with the cm9 dont worry its not a problem this pistol can be trusted for function and you can trust your life on it in a self defense situation. Thanks Buds! more

The size, weight and price of the Kahr CM9 is unbeatable. Having never fired a subcompact or a double action type trigger I was a little worried that my accuracy would suffer but within a couple of magazines I was shooti...ng this little pistol just as well, if not better than, my full sized G17. I put about 200 rounds through it on my first range trip including various hollow points and everything fed and ejected 100{578299e02ccf0e43c0244b275e9c1ec2eae551303a6d32d95f8859748a80ede2}. This has now become my every day carry. I'm extremely satisfied with and highly recommend the CM9. more

An excellent CCW pistol in a market filled with options. If looking at subcompact 9s, definitely consider the Kahr. At this price point, you are getting a whole lot of pistol for your money.

The transaction from Bud's was relatively easy. After a lot of research, I opted to try the Kahr CM9 for my CCW. The predominate factors of my purchase were reviews concerning: reliability, size/weight, shoot-ability, a...nd safety. Cost was somewhat of a factor too, but I was willing to spend more if a pricier option essentially justified it. Out the door, I spent about $330 for the CM9. That's a phenomenal price when you consider that the Kahr PM9 (the more premium version) has historically costed about double this! In fact, the CM9 has historically costed more than the $330 I spent! My experience... The Kahr owner's manual insists that you break-in the weapon with at least 200 rounds before attempting to rely upon it daily. I totally agree! I'm of the opinion that ANY firearm for CCW should be tested and trained with prior to carry! Within the first 250 rounds the CM9 had a few failures to feed and one stovepipe. There were also a couple of failures to lock upon after the last round. I've since put hundreds of more rounds through it without a single failure. It's my guess that the SUPER STIFF recoil spring and mag springs played a role in the initial failures. Before taking the CM9 to the range, I would advise locking the slide back for several days, working the heck out of the action and dry-firing the weapon, and leaving your mags loaded. You'll also want to disassemble the weapon and give it a good cleaning and inspection before going to the range. Accuracy... The CM9 is capable of some pretty impressive accuracy. My groups were horrible the first time I shot the CM9. I then realized what the problems were. I was anticipating the recoil and pulling the nose down. Additionally, the long double action trigger was something unfamiliar to me (I'm used to Glock triggers). After some user adjustments and gaining familiarity with the long double action trigger, I was able to generally maintain 3" groups at about 15-20 feet. More on this below. Random positives... Recoil on this tiny pistol is extremely manageable in spite of its small size. The trigger smooths out quite a bit after you put 200-400 rounds through it. It noticeably lightens and looses some of its creek. It ends up feeling like a really good/smooth double action revolver trigger (but significantly lighter than any I've ever felt). Negatives... The factory stippling is a bit rough and can really wear into your hand when shooting more than about 50 rounds through it. As the weapon has broken it, I've grown more accustomed to the aggressive stippling. Some might want to try add-on grips. While I've been able to gain decent accuracy with the weapon, this has come (in part) with the need to elevate the front sight above the rear sight. If I don't elevate the front sight quite a bit, then I will consistently hit several inches below my desired target. Some others I've talked to have experienced the same. While the overall external fit and finish of the weapon is relatively nice, the internal fit and finish of the slide is a bit rough. The rear of the slide was particularly this way. These things don't affect the performance of the weapon at all. I personally chose to smooth some of the roughly machined edges on the underside of the slide as well as the sharp edges on the slide release lever. This took about 2 minutes. Other manufacturers I've seen with similarly priced firearms put more emphasis on their fit and finish. This isn't a deal-breaker, but it's something I appreciate. My possible biggest concern would be the absence of a metal frame block or chassis in Kahr's polymer pistols. This contributes to why Kahr polymer pistols are so lightweight and slim. All of the other single stack manufacturers that I've seen use a metal fame block or chassis within their polymer frames. I'm not an engineer, but it seems like the life of the weapon would be greatly extended with the incorporating of a metal block or chassis. Yet, I've heard of some folks putting many thousands of rounds through their Kahr's without any real significant frame wear. I'm in the process of getting another Kahr. more

This CM9 is well built and reliable. I've put close to a thousand rounds through this pistol with brass, aluminum, and steel casings without failure. It's surprisingly accurate, powerful, and ergonomic. It conceals well ...and breaks down with minimal effort. This pistol is a gem and in my opinion, it is at the top of the list of single stack 9mms because of its overall size weight potential capacity, all at a great price. more

Not my cup of tea. The reason is simple; while the quality of this firearm is really outstanding, the grip material and "waffling" on the grip make the firearm painful to shoot. The grip is made of hard plastic and the w...affling is so aggressive that the grip leaves the palm of the hand feeling like it's been rug burned. It's things like this that make me wonder why pistol manufacturers don't use rubberized grips in their stock builds. Oh well, in my case, I disliked firing this gun so much, I sold it after putting about 100 rounds through it. Save your money. more

Reliable shooter. Ran 250 rounds after receiving the gun. Only issue was the second shot of first magazine load there was a ftf. However, Im certain I didnt have the second round seated in the magazine right. Build quali...ty from Kahr was good aside from some polymer burrs that needed trimming. I'd been carrying the Kahr CW380 for a couple of years as a pocket gun, and wanted to move up to the Kahr CM9, and continue carrying this as a pocket gun. The CM9 was shipped quickly from Bud's and the pick up at my loca...l gun dealer was easy with a $25.00 transfer fee. I bought 3 different weight FMJ types of ammo and Hornaday Critical Duty135 gr JHP's to carry full time. Right out of the box, and without a break between sessions (other than the time it took reloading 2 mags), I broke the gun in with 200 rounds of the FMJ, each mag loaded with 3 different and staggered weights (115, 124, and 147 gr) and two different bullet shapes (round and tapered nose). The weapon performed flawlessly. The slide locked back every time on an empty mag. I finished the breakin with 6 135 gr FMJ rounds, again, no problems This was not the case with the 380, as there were several times the gun stove piped or failed to load properly. I feel much more confident in the abilities of the CM9 over the CW380. More types of 9MM ammo are available, and for some reason, the 9MM rounds have been running cheaper than .380 rounds. I've read about others having problems with this gun, not the case for me, so far, it's a great, sub compact 9MM. more

A great pocket carry pistol, even for me with my giant freak-hands. On a friend's advice (who's owned several Kahrs), I racked the slide a couple hundred times right out of the box in lieu of the 200 round "break in" per...iod the owner's guide recommends. After I cleaned it, I then went to the range. I shot 144 rounds and after some inaccuracy at the beginning (shots went *way* off to the right), it settled down and proved very accurate at 7-8 yards. During that 144 rounds, I had zero malfunctions of any kind. It was comfortable to shoot, except after the whole session I had some blisters on my trigger finger. Of course, I probably won't be putting that many rounds through it every time I shoot it. Overall a great, accurate, reliable pistol, with a great trigger and great service from Bud's! more

I had been looking at the Kahr CM9 for quite a while. When I saw that it was on sale for $262, plus a Kahr rebate for a 2nd mag, I couldn't pass it up. Buds processed the order fairly quickly. The gun arrived in perfect... shape. After a thorough cleaning and racking the slide 200+ times, I took it to the range and put 200 rounds through it: 150 rds of Winchester white box, and 50 rounds of Speer gold dot hollow points. The gun performed perfectly, no malfunctions whatsoever. This gun really has a nice trigger, and is very accurate. I love how small and light the gun is. It easily fits in the front pocket of my shorts. I was initially concerned that it might have a lot of recoil being how light it is, but it really wasn't that bad at all. I could of put more than 200 rds through it, but that was all I had on me! If you are thinking of purchasing this gun, you will be very happy with it. Just make sure you clean it really good and rack the slide about 200 times prior to the first range trip. These Kahrs are built very tight, and do require a break-in period. more

I bought the CM9 from Bud's on the advice of a friend who also owns one. Boy am I glad I did! Upon receipt of the firearm I did a very minimal clean and lube on it, and headed to the range. I fired 50 rounds thru it flaw...lessly, and just loved the trigger on it. Next outing I fired another 50 rounds of a different ammo, and again it was flawless. Not only am I happy about the reliability and quality of the Kahr CM9, but I'm also happy I bought it from BudsGunShop. It came very quickly to my local Cabela's, was professionally packaged and it's movement was easily tracked thru the email sent by Bud's upon shipment. Very well made and tight fit,,Well worth the money...BUT, the slide spring is the heaviest I have ever seen...Very tough to cycle...Also, loading the 6th round into the mag. is a challenge....The quality is there and if ...those spring items don't bother you, then get it..I don't recommend this to women because the slide racking is really tough....As reviews say, the trigger action is super....Would I buy it again ? I've been looking for a 9mm I could carry in my front jeans pocket, and took a chance on the Kahr CM9. It fits fine in a pocket holster. It's a little tight, but I still can draw smoothly without hanging up. Have run abo...ut 200 rounds through it, without any problems. I did take it apart and polished the feed ramp and trigger mating surfaces with a dremel felt wheel and polish before ever firing it. I frankly don't understand those who complain about the long trigger pull, and I'm one of those who usually purchases a trigger kit or does a trigger job on just about every firearm I have ever owned. The trigger pull is long (similar to a DA revolver), but is very light and crisp for a DAO semi-auto. I couldn't ask for more. more

This gun is one of the very best choices for concealed carry on the market. Pocket carry, IWB, OWB - the CM9 does it all, and does it well! Many holster options out there, as this gun is very popular. It's easy to shoot ...well due to the smooth trigger, excellent sights, and the ergonomics are as good as it gets for a gun this small. It's very well made for a lifetime of shooting, accurate, and easy to maintain. Parts are easily available direct from Kahr, and they sell some great accessories on their site as well. All it really needed for me was a Talon rubber grip. This simple addition has made my CM9 my preferred EDC option. With over 600 flawless rounds through it, I don't foresee anything bumping this gun out of the top spot in my carry rotation. IMO, this is the most bang for the buck option available. more

After 400+ rounds from several different manufactures, this gun has never malfunctioned--at all--using 115gr and 124gr ammo. While some of the 380 pocket guns I find hard to hold, and my hands are not that big, the CM9 w...ith the Hogue slip-on grip fits me very well. In fact, for a large-ish pocket gun, this gun is surprisingly accurate in my hands. In fact, I would call this gun fun to shoot! Trigger is much nicer than a Glock, as it is less 'mushy' with a cleaner break. Field breakdown is easy and the stainless finish cleans up quickly. Magazines initially did not drop free, but now do without any gunsmithing. So, extremely reliable, accurate, handles well and easy to conceal wraps this gun up--highly recommended! more

Purchased the CM 9 a week before Christmas and it took just over 2 weeks for delivery. I love the size and weight of the gun, I have a Glock 19 Gen 4 but is difficult to conceal carry comfortably but the CM 9 is perfect ...for conceal carry, I don't even know I have it on. I put 150 rounds through it the first time at the range and loved it. The recoil is much less than I expected and it has a very smooth trigger pull. The slide is very stiff out of the box but was a little better after the first range day. Great little gun! more

Researched lots of small 9 mm pistols for CCW. Finally went with the Kahr CM9. The size for me is a perfect for IWB or pocket carry. Gun was accurate right out of the box. Trigger is just fine once you learn how to take ...up the initial slack and then finish the last part of the squeeze. I bought a Pearce pinky extension and Remora IWB/pocket holster which seem perfectly made for the CM9. This is my 2nd purchase from Buds through mail order to my local FFL dealer. Good service from Buds. Great prices. Would buy from them again. more

I purchased the pistol from Bud's in January 2014. Bud's was, as always, great. Shipping was as fast as it could be, considering that delivery was delayed in my area due to a snow storm at the time. The pistol has been ...flawless. I have between 500-600 rounds through with zero malfunctions or any kind. I followed all the advice on the Kahrtalk forum on How to Break in a New Kahr Pistol. A few things to note about this pistol: Though this is a striker fired pistol, the trigger is more like a very smooth double action. I prefer the Glock and M&P trigger to this one, and can shoot them better, but this trigger is good. It disappears on the body when being carried iwb. Originally this was my wife's gun, but she does not like shooting it. She much prefers the 26 and Shield to this one. The Shield is just a tad bigger, but shoots so much better. The CM9 while having controllable recoil, does have quite a bit more muzzle flip than the Shield. It is too big for me to be a pocket gun. I now carry it at times during the summer months in the appendix position or on occasions when it is more practical, i.e. shorts, throwing in shorts to answer the door in a sticky holster, beach, etc. I usually just continue carrying my 26 year round regardless of weather. My wife now has a Shield and loves it. I want a Shield too, and think if I did have one that it would replace my 26, scary thought. The Shield is that good. more

Excellent firearm. Pistol arrived at FFL in perfect condition, and it is a handsome little pistol! I put 300 rounds through it before trusting it with my life. All 300 rds went off FLAWLESSLY, including 40 rds of +p HP. ...Bought it as a smaller/lighter alternative to Glock carry, but it has quickly become my go to firearm for warm weather EDC. Was looking for a nice, compact, 9mm summer carry. Something to go into the front pocket of my cargo pants, (in a pocket holster, of course). I have the Glock 42, but never felt totally comfortable with the caliber. The ...Glock 43 looks promising, but it is pushing the dimensions of a Glock 26, albeit much slimmer. So I bought the KAHR CM 9. Just put over 200 rounds at the range. Only 2 malfunctions, fail to load and slide locked open on a loaded magazine. The last 50 rounds were flawless. It shoots surprisingly well. No unpleasant recoil. Not snappy to me. The aggressive stippling really helped keep a tight grip. I have medium to large hands and I did not feel the need to re-grip after every shot, which is no bueno. The groups kept getting better with each round as I became more familiar with the gun. Pros: 1. The price is over 200 LESS than a Glock. 2. Very concealable 3. Pleasant to shoot, with a very smooth trigger. 3. Fairly light Cons: 1. A bit complicated and finicky when field stripping to clean. 2. Not too crazy about the frame rails being uninforced plastic, (there are two steel guides embedded in the front end of the receiver that do engage the front end of the slide to keep it in place, not sure why they just didn't reinforce the upper receiver like Glock. Time will tell if this is a good design I suppose) All in all, I think it's a good gun for a great price. I would have no qualms showing this pistol to my enemy. more

Great little piece. I got this for the times I want a smaller carry option as compared to my Glock 23. This handgun seems to be made very well. I put 200 rounds of Winchester white box through it with no issues at all. I...t is very snappy to me, but I'm not accustomed to pocket size pistols yet. I will definitely need to practice more to get used to it. Great gun, great price. I'm very happy with it. more

This is a great gun! I bought it for a concealed carry weapon and it works perfectly for that. After deciding I needed a weapon that conceals easily I went to the range and rented snub revolvers and single stack 9mm guns.... I tried the Ruger LCR, Kahr CW9, and Smith and Wesson Shield. I narrowed it down to the Kahr and Shield but I greatly preferred the trigger on the Kahr. I then decided I wanted a more concealable weapon and decided on the Kahr CM9. It is accurate and has a light recoil for a gun of its size. Mine went through the 200 round break in period without any issues and it was able to feed steel cased ammo as well. One thing I did notice is that when using steel cased ammo, pushing the first round in worked better when using the slide release as opposed to using the slingshot method. This didn't come as a huge surprise though because Kahr recommends using the slide release as opposed to the slingshot method. It did shave a little plastic off in the frame where the slide rides at first but it didn't interfere with the function of the gun at all. It feels amazing in my hand and I am extremely happy overall. Once Buds received my payment they shipped it the next day and I received it in a few days. more

Kahr has produced a small 9mm that is very manageble to shoot if you can rack the slide. The only problems I have ever had are that I cannot hit the broadside of a barn when shooting this Kahr and the slide is very hard ...to pull back. I believe the accuracy problem I was having is because of the very very long trigger pull. I would have to shift my fingerr in order to pull the trigger in enough to dischare the weapon. The trigger is as smooth as buttter, but I could not get used to it. The recoil springs are very tight (which helps reduce kick) but fully pulling back the slide is very tiresome. The fit and finish were very good. more

I am absolutely thrilled with this weapon. Smooth trigger pull, crisp break, not a single FTE or FTF. I removed it from the packaging and immediately stripped and cleaned the gun. Kahr ships them with heavy oil on all su...rfaces (including the inside of the magazine) and that needs to be removed before ever firing these things. After a good cleaning and lube, I locked the slide back for about 12 hours to loosen up the recoil spring slightly. I have put 50rds through it now with zero issues. By far the nicest "cheap" carry gun I've owned. Received it from Buds 4 business days after I ordered. more

Very good small compact 9mm and very concealable. So far I have put 120 rounds of Speer lawman thru it with 3 FTF, however, I have not reached the 200 round break in amount yet. I have not gotten used to the two dot sigh...ts yet, as all my other handguns are three dot sights. The trigger pull is a little stiff but a consistent pull and the recoil is very good for such a small and light 9mm. I am not impressed with the fit of the Kahr magazine. It is not a flush fit and can pinch your little finger while shooting the gun. They certainly would do better with a flush fitting magazine. I also own a S&W Shield 9mm which I love. At this point I give the concealable edge to the Kahr but an overall slight edge to the S&W Shield for their great trigger, accuracy and reliability. I would give the Kahr a 5 star rating if it were not for the magazine. Buds service on shipping this gun was absolutely outstanding!!! more

I suppose the best thing I can say about this firearm to depict exactly how I feel about it would be to say, I wish I would have bought it about 7 guns ago. That way I would only have about 3 handguns as opposed to the 6... I have now. Of the firearms I own, the CM9 just vaulted in to my top 3, bypassing 2 Glocks. Simply put, it was flawless through the first 200 rounds I put through it today, and it is surprisingly easy/fun to shoot and recoil is very manageable. I will say the sights take some getting used to, but this is easily in my carry rotation now. I have a Glock 23 that I love, but feels like a brick to carry, and a Glock 36 that is about as reliable as a plastic baseball bat vs. a Randy Johnson fast ball. So my Ruger SR9C, SR40C and now this wonderful little Kahr CM9 are my fab 3! I see a lot of comparisons to the M&P Shield, and in my honest opinion the CM9 is the much better value. I've owned 2 Shields and sold them both because of continuous malfunctions. May have just had bad luck with the Shields and got two lemons. Lastly, I would recommend getting the upgraded Buds lifetime warranty. I mean seriously why wouldn't you for under $20, regardless of how awesome a gun is?!?! more

I just got a chance to put some rounds through the CM9. Being such a small 9mm, it is a bit of a handful to shoot but it was actually more pleasant than I had thought it would be. I had 50 rounds down range without a sin...gle hiccup. The accuracy was also better than I was expecting. The only gripe I have so far is that the magazine is difficult to load. I loaded five at a time and I did not try six. It almost feels as if the follower is binding a little but I will pull the magazine apart to look for any high spots on the follower. I hope it should be an easy fix. Considering the cost, I am very happy with this Kahr. more

Recently got a Kahr CM9 from Bud's. Service was fast and professional as usual. Ya gotta love this pistol ! Stripped it down and polished the feed ramp before firing it.The ramp had a few imperfections that might have ca...used feeding issues. Don't know for sure. I've been carrying a 2"J-Frame and seriously can't tell the weight difference between the two. The CM9 is flatter, and smaller. Both shoot a serious defense round, 9mm vs .38 Special. Had NO feed issues on the first 100 rounds. Performance was flawless. The Kahr website has a detailed disassembly video which is helpful for the first time. You can spend $100's more for a "big name" pistol, but you will probably not find a 9mm that will beat this gun. 1.25 groups at 30 ft.and the small size are unbeatable. You don't need a match grade pistol for self defense. When the rubber meets the road, it won't matter.Call Bud's and get one before the CM9 goes on the "hard to get" list more

Great service from Bud's! I like this gun! I put the required 200 rounds of Winchester and Blazer Brass through it with only two failures to feed, both Winchester White Box rounds. A quick tap and rack and back into acti...on. I also ran a box of Federal 124 grain HST through it without issue. The pistol is very shootable in spite of it's small size, even after a 200+ round range session. Much easier and more comfortable to shoot than a Ruger LCP. The "bar dot" sights took a little getting used to, but accuracy was good for such a small gun. After toting around a steel snubby for two years this thing feels great. A fine gun for a good price. I highly recommend it. more

This Kahr CM-9 is a good gun, no big deal, I like my Taurus 709 slim better, is not so easy to break down, and the slide rides on a polymer rail, I don't care for that, again It's a good gun, so are many others.

I have just over seven hundred rounds without a single malfunction of any kind. I have tried to make it jam by slow racking the slide which Kahr says not to do. It eats hand loads from min. to max. length and charges fro...m min. to max. without complaint. This thing has been absolutely reliable. Accuracy is also very good for such a small pistol it's usually not a problem to keep most loads on a paper plate at 25 yards. Ergonomics are good. I really like the deep serrations on the grip frame so sweaty or wet hands are no problem. I have medium sized hands and reach to the trigger is perfect for me and like everyone says the trigger is very smooth. Takedown is easy no tools required so keeping it clean is a snap. When I want something more than a 380 and can't carry my larger Glock it's the perfect option. Bottom line is it's a stainless, accurate, reliable, very concealable 9mm that feels and shoots great. more

Buds was great as usual. Gun shipped quickly to my FFL. The Kahr CM9 is a well constructed, reliable and compact hand gun. Gun arrived with a 6 round "single stack magazine. Bought two additional 7 round mags from Kahr ...Arms website. Kahr manual states gun should not be considered "fully reliable for feeding and functioning" until a minimum of 200 rounds have been cycled through the gun. Am now at 300 rounds and have not had any issues with gun not functioning. No jams, FTE's or FTFs. Gun has no safety and as a result Kahr have designed the CM9 to have a very l-o-n-g and deliberate trigger pull. The trigger on this gun has taken some getting used to. My other 9mm is a Ruger SR9C and has a very short and crisp trigger pull. I bought the CM9 because the SR9C was difficult to carry concealed with my wardrobe, The CM 9 is very concealable. The guns fits into a coat pocket and conceals nicely in an IWB holster. I carry the CM9 with the 6 rd mag in the gun and carry a 7 round mag as a spare. The CM9 is more difficult to shoot accurately than the SR9C. I believe this is due to the trigger pull and a shorter? barrel. The smaller CM9 is also snappier for a given round. The Kahr seems to accentuate my bad shooting habits while my Ruger seems to be more forgiving. The CM9 has forced me to improve my grip, trigger pull and follow through. After 300 rounds am getting more accurate with the gun. Very satisfied with this gun. more

Wow! What a positive experience it was to purchase a firearm from Bud's and to receive a great pistol like the Kahr CM9! I was a new customer to Bud's and I have never owned a Kahr before. I ordered the pistol on a Tuesd...ay and picked it up on the following Friday! Lightening fast shipping! The CM9 is great! I have yet to put the recommended 200 rounds through it but I have no doubt that it is reliable as is. Fit and finish, trigger, size, shape, weight, and caliber. Just received my second Kahr CM9. While a still a decent pistol for the price with attractive features, I noticed the following differences from my first CM9 (purchased shortly after they came out) and the CW9 and PM9 I ...have: 1. Worst of all, the trigger is not as smooth. While still pretty smooth compared to other pistols, I can now feel the trigger spring lightly stacking. 2. Possibly related to observation #1, the trigger (spring?) makes an annoying sound as the trigger is depressed--sounds like a small reproduction of my screen door spring getting stretched. 3. The feed ramp, while apparently functional, has tooling grooves running up it, and the ramp is in no way ground--and definitely not polished--like my first pistol. 4. The finish on the new barrel looks "chinzy". This may not be a reflection of lesser materials but, given my other observations, I have my suspicions. The fit and finish, otherwise, is just fine. As expected, it is tight as hell, but I'm assuming that after the break-in period, it'll loosen up and shoot fine. Are my negative observations a fluke? I doubt it but, even if it is, I hold companies responsible for everything they send out the door, and a "there's bound to be a few lemons" defense doesn't cut it for me. Kahr may have its reasons, but I'm inclined to be PO'd at what I guess is yet another case where accountants compromise product quality for short-term profits. Might be the last one I buy... more

Buds: one week from order to being at the FFL for paper work - outstanding! The other reviews are correct; this gun is machined very tight. I have not yet fired it (soon), but the action is much stiffer than my larger 9 ...from another manufacturer. I don't consider that a bad thing, but I now understand the requirement for the 200 round break-in period. And, who wouldn't like to "have" to shoot 200 rounds?! I did a lot of research for ccw's and this model kept coming to the top for: price, size, weight, reliability, quality and shootability. I wish it came with two magazines and a finger extension like some of the competitors, but for a bit extra money I got that taken care of. The Pearce finger extensions are low priced and work great. One thing I highly recommend is to get the rubber grips by Talon. They are cheap, great, easy to apply and make the grip so much better for dry or moist situations and the grip is now less aggressive on the hand. It all came down to this Kahr or the Nano, but I felt the Kahr had a slight advantage. I'm very satisfied with this choice. more

Very pleased with this pistol. I find the size perfect for carry and frankly, the pistol fits well in my hand (my finger is a bit long for the trigger reach, but doesn't seem to be a problem. Based on disassembly, cleani...ng and use, the firearm is extremely well made. At the range I fired 150 rounds of WWB with no failures of any kind. I did have one magazine fail to engage when I inserted it, as I neglected to have the first cartridge fully seated to the back of the mag, causing the tip of the bullet to catch during insertion. My bad, not the weapon. The trigger is extremely smooth and is quite long. If I concentrate with a support for slow fire, The pistol shoots a ragged hole about 1" low at 12 yards. If I shoot offhand, one or two handed grip, faster fire (and without any support), I consistently shoot low - at 12 yards, about 5" low. From what I am now reading, this is common, and is a function of getting used to the trigger pull. As with any self defense weapon, practice is the key. I did experience the common problem of mags not dropping free during the range session. Interestingly, they ARE dropping free now that I am home. We'll see if it lasts. Overall, I am perfectly pleased with the pistol and find it quite a hand cannon, but much more comfortable to shoot than my Keltec P3AT - I can usually only put 50 rounds through that in a session, whereas putting hundreds through the Kahr is not an issue. I do have rubber grip sleeves on both pistols more

I would like to start off by saying this is sexy little gun. I'm a larger guy, and I have had people tell me that I have gorilla hands. This gun felt great in my hand. My pinky hangs off, but I just tuck it under the mag...azine, and I don't feel it compromises my grip. I picked this up from my local FFL, which also happens to have a gun range, and went out to shoot it right out of the box. I was going to break it down and give it a good lubing, but it was already lubed from the factory. I fed this thing 235 rounds of mixed ammo. I fed it about 6 different kinds of ammo from cheap FMJs, to high end defensive rounds. Every single round fed and fired without a hitch. I even started loading magazines with all different types of ammo randomly mixed in trying to trip it up, but this little thing ate everything I fed it. I bought this to be my primary concealed carry weapon, and it hasn't disappointed me. Recoil is a bit snappy, but this is to be expected in a gun this size, and in no way is it unmanageable. Do yourself a favor and pick up some spare mags. My thumb took a beating repeatedly loading the single 6 round mag that came with it. It is both shorter and thinner than my Glock 26, but the single stack magazine holds less rounds. The Glock is a good gun, but can be difficult to conceal in light clothing. I had a few issues when attempting to load a round by slingshotting the slide. Rounds load perfectly from the slide back position. After about 150 rounds it became easier to slingshot. This isn't a big deal for me. My first round will be loaded under no stress conditions. In the unlikely event that I find myself in a gun fight, the slide will already be locked back after emptying the first magazine. I plan to shoot it several more times with different ammo just to make sure I trust it completely before it replaces my Glock 26 as my primary concealed carry. So far, I couldn't be more pleased with it. more

I have carried my CW9 for about two years, and have not had any problems with it. It shoots good, and it carries good. I don't even realize I have it on my hip. I don't have any problems with it jamming, or misfiring. My... only real complaint is that it only comes with one clip, and extras are hard to find, and a little on the pricey side. more

WOW. What a little pistol this is. It has a perfect trigger pull and is supper accurate. I've put about 250 rounds of the cheapest ammo I could find through it and haven't had any failures.

First off, this is my third pistol purchase from Bud's. Ordered on a Friday afternoon and it was at my FFL Dealer on the following Monday. That's lighting fast. Buds is 3 for 3. Mine was 377.00 shipped. Not much i can sa...y about the pistol. it speaks for itself. forget the LCP, LC9, Kel-tec, SW BG, and whatever else is considered a "micro" pistol. this is the real deal. the others cant compare...but thats just my opinion. more

This is my 3rd handgun purchase through Buds and as always, no issues at all with Buds service and shipping times. Purchased my CM9 during the Black Friday credit same as cash deal. After picking up the gun from my FFL, ...I cleaned and properly prepped my CM9 and headed to the range. Fired 200 rds of Federal FMJ's through it with not a single FTF or FTE! Nothing but smooth, fun performance. The gun feels perfect in my hands which are not small. I even forgot I didn't have a pinky on the grip!! Very nice control and such a smooth shooting gun. Spent the 1st 100 rds getting familiar with the trigger and sights, and the 2nd 100 rds tightening up my grouping. The only real need for the infamous 200 rnd break-in period, if properly cleaned and prepped, is to get familiarized with the gun!! The CM9 is a great size for Concealed Carry and after fitting up the holster of choice, you will forget you have this nice little 9mm peace of mind at your side!! Highly recommended. more

My CM9 is well machined with tight fits to the frame. The springs are stiff but function is perfect. I haven't had much time for break in but before cleaning out the shipping grease I loaded the mag with Hornady XTP and ...fired as fast as I could pull the trigger. Not a bobble and shoots softer than several .380s I have tried. I have to say I am impressed with this little pistol. You can pocket carry but it might be a bit large in tighter jeans. I will need to give it a couple hundred rounds to prove itself fully, but at first blush this may be the perfect CC sidearm. more

Awesome gun. Almost as small as the LCP, p238, and tcp but packs a LOT more punch with the 9mm rounds. Lightweight, very solid feeling. Is obviously a very high quality gun, everything is well made, is tight, and looks g...reat. Not a single failure of any kind with over 200 rounds through it. Recoil is surprising mild, comparable to my m&p 9. My only problem was that the magazine was difficult to pull out and I sent it back to kahr after contacting their customer service. They sent me a new one in a week and now it works great. My only other gripe is that the backstrap is a bit rough and bites into my hand after 50-100 rounds. However, the upside is that it would not slip under pressure, or with wet or sweaty hands. At Bud's price, this is too good to pass up. BUY IT. more

As usual, Buds delivered my order in two days. You guys are great!!! Now on to the review. The Kahr CM9 gets 5 stars. The trigger is very smooth and consistent. In no time at all you can do double taps, keeping the round...s where they should be. This pistol is very accurate. I have previously owned the Tauras and Ruger sub-compact 9's and they both were returned to the factory for issues. Also both would cause trigger bite. They were not pleasant to shoot. The Kahr is a pleasure to shoot, recoil is not an issue and no trigger bite. I have fed it FMJ. HP and +P ammo without a hitch. JUST BUY IT !!! more

Add-on to Review 2 of 2 Looks like I will be purchasing some stones for remove some sharp edges. I don't know why no other reviewers here or other places have addressed how sharp the slide serrations are. They did cut ou...t machining operations (as stated on Kahr's web page) like breaking sharp edges. When I looked closely at the slide serrations, their corners are perfect 90 degrees corners (very sharp). Some people state (Kahr forum) they will keep the edges so they have better grip if their hands are bloody. These serrations are associated with blood, they will make your hands bloody. I racked the slide with a good pair of leather work gloves because hand and could not handle the racking. I used work gloves about six times. The slide was eating through them. No work I have done with the glove has caused any damage to them. Updates: Did some hunting Kahr magazines should drop free. Some people don't seem to care. I need my pistol to function properly. The magazine only drops free if I have it loaded with 6x dummy rounds. Great I can quickly drop out a full mag but when I want it to drop free it gets stuck. Best case it ejects about 1/2-1". Worst case the magazine does not even drop down any distance. I have emailed Kahr customer support on the issues 11/26/11. more

Just got it after 7 days waiting for background. Currently magazine does not drop free. I don't know if the magazines are drop free or not - believe they are drop free. The slide stop and the slide serrations are very sh...op. The slide stop had cut my thumb some during doing dry fire with dummy rounds. The slide serrations are so sharp I got gloves out when working the slides. I never had to use gloves when working with my Glock. I will see how things go talking to customer service. I believe I may have to take a file to the pistol - believe other have had to do some file work. Not very happy that I have do some modification at the start. more

First off, if you have not found it yet check out Kahr's website - free extended magazine if you buy by end of November! As far as Bud's service is concerned, it took less time to get the gun to my FFL then it did for me... to go pick it up :-) The gun was very tight at first but loosened up after 150 rounds I put through it (all FMJ). It actually has a tiny play in the front of a slide now, but I believe that is normal since the front rails are thinner than the rail grooves. So far no failures of any kind and the accuracy is very good when I do my part correctly. My best group was all six shots in 2 in from a hand hold. Magazine still does not drop on release, but there are a lot of blogs out there with the solution, I just have not tried it yet. All in all a solid gun, but I will need more time to fill fully comfortable with it. more

Ordered this little mighty mouse with high expectations. Unfortunately it wasn't to be with this one right out of the box. On the first trip to the range right after it came in, after the 3rd round the gun jammed. The sp...ring came out the front barrel. Took her home, broke her down, removed the spring and contacted Kahr. They responded quickly and sent a recoil assembly out right away. It arrived after about a week. Excited to take her out to the range, I fired approximately 50 rounds with multiple FTE's. At the end the spring once again came out of the barrel. Contacted Kahr again and sent back to the facotry for repair. Pretty quick turn around time, she was back in my hands 2 1/2 weeks later. Wondering what to expect, I fired 100 rounds without a hitch. Pretty excited I took her back to the range a couple days later and she again performed flawlessly after another 100 rounds of about 4 different types of FMJ's and JHP. I understand not everything in life is perfect, but have come to appreciate Kahr for fixing the problem right away and ending up with a product I believed would be an excellent little CCW. After 3 purchases from Bud's i'm still wondering if i'm gonna have this fast shipping others have boasted about. Good service nontheless. more

update to my first review which was not a good review of this gun. I felt an update was necessary. kahr replaced my barrel as it was defective and now the gun shoots well. I put 100 rounds of fmj and 14 rounds of +p hp t...hrough it today and it functioned flawlessly. kahr paid shipping both ways for the repair and I have renewed faith in this gun now. The accuracy was better than my ruger lcp and the gun is not much bigger or heavier. I will still want to shoot another 200-300 rounds before having complete faith but as smooth as this gun performed today I am pretty sure it will continue to perform. more

Buds service once again is top notch. I ordered my CM9 last Monday at 8 PM, and my FFL in Ohio had it Thursday at noon. Just got back from the range where I put 200 rounds of Lawman 115 gr through the CM9. Overall the pi...stol shot great, I did have 6 FTF, although I attribute that to the econ grade ammo I was shooting. I put a box of Hornaday Critical Defense through with no issues. Each FTF occurred when the nose of the bullet got stock on the feed ramp at a 30 degree angle. If this continue, I will polish the feed ramp down a very small bit. Kahr recommends 200 rounds to break the pistol in, although I would say 400 - 500 is preferred before you use it as your EDC. As far as CCW goes, I prefer to carry at the six o'clock position IWB, and I found the DeSantis #106 soft tuck is a great choice. The first few days it is extremely comfortable and snugly keep the pistol in place. I can run with this holster and I am not concerned with it breaking free. If you are looking for a concealable reasonable priced CCW, this gun is it. As you can see, I rated it four stars as I need to get some more ammo through it to give it a more thorough review. Happy Shooting and help vote our current Leader and Chief out of office ASAP! more

One word... WOW! This is the best concealable, single-stack, sub-compact 9mm on the market. The craftsmanship is outstanding and really puts others to shame. It seems as though Kahr has filled a niche in the market that ...Glock refuses to fill - slim, single-stack handguns for maximum comfort and concealability. And best of all, the buyer receives a high-quality American-made product with excellent customer service. I have yet to deal with Kahr (or Auto Ordnance, who actually makes the gun) but have heard praise for the friendly service. I guess this can be expected from any American company like Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Colt, Winchester, or Remington with great track records, but Kahr also seems to back its products with confidence and friendliness. This gun is extremely accurate and I was able to dial in quickly. I found the best aim was about a 12 o'clock hold since the sights were a little low (for me at least). I have only used 3-dot systems and the bar-dot was new to me, but after 200+ rounds at the range, I would have to say I prefer it. The grip on this gun is pretty good but can be improved and lengthened by purchasing a 7-round mag that extends enough for a pinky. I would also suggest getting a rubber slip-on grip or traction grips of some kind to keep the checkering from digging into your hands so much. That is the one thing I did not like about the grip. The serrations on the slide are also pretty aggressive and can hurt after repeated cycling by hand, but I see this as a plus since it gives extra traction for sweaty hands. The gun functioned very well for me and was flawless in terms of feeding, primer igniting, and ejection. I shot 3 types of hollow points, 135gr Federal Hydrashock, 124gr Hornady XTP, 124gr Winchester PDX1 +P, and 4 variations of my own reloads, 124gr round nose, 124gr flat point, 124gr hollow point, 100gr round nose (.380 projectile), and a 115gr flat point, all of which are Berry's Mfg. plated bullets. This CM9 ate and spit out everything I threw at it. The slide did fail to lock on the last round of the second mag but is part of the break-in and can be expected. The important thing to take to heart is that it was 100{56307b7e634d14fb320d1e1262aee2302dea22632faf197e4aa52f3811206767} in shooting and I would depend my life on it (and will when I start carrying it, which will probably be tomorrow). The recoil is slightly snappy, which can be expected in a 9mm pocket gun. In comparison to my buddy's Keltec PF9, recoil is much lighter. Kahr utilizes a low bore axis in its handguns and offers the shooter more of a push in the hand than a snap upward like the Keltec. The only thing that started to hurt were the checkering marks on the grip that I mentioned earlier. I may eventually put a rubber grip on it to make it more fun, but for now, it is already plenty of fun and watching the fireball from my reloads with Power Pistol powder was extremely satisfying. As mentioned earlier the craftsmanship is astounding. The fit is tight but just works and works. The two men behind the counter at the range, one of which carries a Ruger LC9, both agree that this has one of the best triggers in a pocket gun. I love the stainless trigger, and although long, it is very smooth and has a crisp break. It also has a very smooth feel and no notch in it like a Glock or Ruger SR-series handgun. The CM9 is quite an attractive and functional piece of work. All-in-all, this is an amazing gun and Kahr has won me over. I love buying from an American company with an American-made piece of artwork like this CM9. The quality is unmatched (except by other Kahrs!) and the user-friendliness is quite welcoming. As always, when dealing with Bud's the service is A+. I ordered this gun Saturday night and received it Tuesday afternoon at my FFL. I always recommend Bud's to my friends, not just for the prices, but for the outstanding service. The employees are very friendly over the phone and shipping is always lightning-fast. I have zero complaints. Take care and Happy shooting more

All I can say is WOW! First gun I ordered from Buds and I will be purchasing more in the future! Now onto the firearm. The Kahr CM-9 is a great CCW and can be carried in an IWB and due its size you can even carry it in t...he pocket. I have done both and with the right holsters the gun disappears. After a couple of range trips, and over a 1k round count, I can attest that recoil is pretty mild except when loaded with high grain +p loadings. I found that my 147 grain ball was actually producing more felt recoil than my 115 grain +p loadings. Trigger pull is extremely long but does not stack towards the end of the pull. Some issues with the trigger break as it took awhile for my muscle memory to get used to the length of pull and break point. Fit and finish where good, being a polymer gun I always go over it and clean and remove little cnc leftovers if needed. This gun did not need anything except a good cleaning as it was packed in alot of gun oil. Other than that it was good to go, also the gun I got came with what appeared to be a polished feedramp and chamber. I dont know if kahr is starting to do this as a standard feature on this gun or not but it is an almost mirrior finish. I had absolutely no issues with FTF or FTE or misfires or any issues of any nature as my particular firearm ran 100{67a329f7718c09d0965c78a488ddcf1ad2c3035c8ed47da3188c1b0a0cbffefc} from the start. Accuracy is was you'd expect from a sub-compact firearm I was printing around 2 inch groups off hand at 25 yards if I took my time. I even had a few 5 shot strings touching. Overall I was very impressed and it is now my primary CCW. Only thing that sucks is that my hands are so large that i can only get my middle finger on the grip. To remedy this I added a grip extension on the girp and also carry a larger capacity mag as a spare. As a police officer friend once told me you "carry more heat than texas in july". I view it this was if I need more than 15 rounds im not in some $#!^. I'm in deep $#!^ more

I ordered this KAHR on Tuesday and received it on Thursday. Wow! Thanks Buds. The customer service personnell at Buds is second to none. I have not has the opportunity to go to the renge with this puppy yet so I can only... comment on the fit and finish. I stripped it down and cleaned it thoroughly. KAHR really does believe in the oil. Field stripping was so easy. The gun is very stiff and tight. It will probably loosen up after a few hundred rounds The book says that it needs 200 rounds fired through it to break it in. I cycled the action over 700 times by hand so I should be ready for the range. I will come back and update after some fun time at the range. Thanks Buds for a good looking gun at a great price. more

I bought the CW9 for my first conceal carry pistol and had some trouble finding a comfortable holster untill I found a suitable pocket holster for it, even then it was just too big for a pocket gun (went to a Ruger LCP).... At the range it definately need the 200rd break in period. I had a couple of jams after the break in with some good quality 9mm ammo, but it was an accurate gun. I thought it was a little pricey for what you pay for and the poly frame fit and finnish was not top quality. more

I purchased the CM9 on its release date. I put 200 rounds down range after going through the exhausting prep work. If you racked it 500 times you know what I mean. Just 3 FTF so I was feeling pretty good. Since then it s...tarted to nose dive jam on or around round 3 of every magazine. Sent it to Kahr and they polished the feed ramp. Its much better because the FTFs are only occuring twice per 50 rounds. Mind you by now I have over 600 rounds fired. Sending it back to Kahr on Monday. Kahr customer service has been great. I hope we can get the reliability issue worked out so I can carry the weapon. more

got one of the first batch of CM9's here on Buds in early April. This little pistol is incredibly tight and does require a little break in time prior to shooting. Save yourself the 200 rounds of ammo and just rack the sl...ide about a 1000 times, and you are good to go. I've put about 250 rounds through this little cannon without an issue, and accuracy is superb (after you get used to the trigger and the two dot sight setup). Perceived recoil is about half of my Keltec PF-9. Glock owners like myself begged for Glock to make a small single stack 9mm and they "listened" by coming out with the Gen 4 Glocks (yawn). Kahr has been making quality pistols that Glock has let slip throught the cracks for a lot of years. This is just another one of them. Having had my concealed carry license for five years, this little pocket rocket was just what I was looking for....a high quality pocket pistol at a reasonable price. Quality is outstanding, and fit and finish are first rate. My local gun store has this unit "On Sale" for $525.....no thanks. This is about my umpteenth gun from Buds....don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Thanks, guys. You just do it right. BTW, do you guys sell pocket holsters? :) more

Have only been able to shoot 100 rounds thru it so far but had zero failures and it was very accurate at 10 yards and not to much recoil for the size o...f gun. Way overpriced for this pistol. Very sharp edges that will need to be honed, fit and finish is decent but will need considerable break in time. Compared to my Glock, this is not even in the same category as far as qualit...y goes. I would put this gun in more of a $300-350 range. Worth waiting for competitors to release more pistols in this category, or for the price to go down. Don't get me wrong, the size and concealability of this gun are great, just not for this price. more

Great fast transaction from Bud's. The CM9 was very tight out of the box. I racked the slide 500 times, stripped, cleaned and lubed it, then locked the slide back for a few hours. I had a few slide lockback failures on l...ast round during the first 50 rounds. Also had a failure to feed. The pistol loosened up after that and has only had one FTF at about 125 rounds. I have 250 through it now and it is running smoothly. Take Kahr's advice on the 200 round break-in before you carry it. Great pocket gun! Get one before they are gone again! more

My son has a CW9 and recently purchased a PM9, both of which he's VERY happy with. Wanting something bigger than my LCP, which I am forced to carry when my XD45 Compact won't do, I decided to give the CM9 a try. Well, th...ere are still times when I have to carry the LCP, but the size of the CM9 has definitely reduced the frequency (when larger, more casual pockets are worn). As I'm sure you know, there are differences between the CM9 and PM9, but this little gun is built as well and shoots as well (2" group at 7 yards to point of aim) as the PM9, and I'm surprised Kahr still recommends a break-in period, because neither my son's PM9 nor my CM9 has had any failures shooting cheap FMJ or Federal 9BPLE. If you don't want night sights, I'd definitely get the CM9 as long as the price difference approaches $200. more

I received this about two weeks ago after trying several times to order and selling out before getting to order. I put about 175 rounds through it this weekend of both FMJ and HP and not one single failure. Amazingly acc...urate for such a small package. At 7 yards it shot dead center. I shot at 4" bullseye targets and I can keep about 1.5 inch groups. The sights are quick and easy to use. The trigger pull is long and smooth with no trigger bite like some of my other compact pistols. The Kahr cm9 is slightly more money than some of the competitors pistols but, I have shot or own most of them and I would recommend this one. more
