The P-11 from Kel-Tec is a carry gun that every gun owner should possess. Chambered in 9mm and packing in 10+1 rounds this pistol is a powerhouse, only weighing in at 14 ounces and at no more than 5.6 inches long makes this one of the smallest conceal carry pistols on the market. The Kel-Tec P11 is a discontinued model.  This polymer-framed pistol operates on a Browning-style short recoil action with a tilting barrel and fires with a double-action trigger pull.  The slide contains a 3.1 inch barrel and is topped with windage-adjustable iron sights with a front sight machined directly into the slide.

The P11 is chambered in 9x19mm NATO and feeds from a single-stack magazine with a 10 round capacity.  With a little bit of searching, it’s easy to find extended 15 round magazines for this as well.

Ergonomics
The P11 has a very short grip that allows the middle and ring fingers to remain for support.  The magazine release and slide lock are all big enough that you can use them, but they’re small enough to stay out of the way.  The double-action trigger has a very heavy pull in order to properly balance the slide mass for a proper lockup.

Kel-Tec P-11 Fit & Finish

The P11 is built on a polymer frame that many like to refer to as “recycled beach plastic” though the slide and barrel are made of some very tough steel.  The finish on the slide starts to wear off pretty quickly around the edges if it’s carried in a cloth or leather holster.
