Fantastic. First pump action shot gun. Super smooth action. rnrnEven though it is built on a 590 receiver the trigger guard and safety are plastic. rnrnI really went back and forth between this and the Remington. rnrnThe mossberg is better because of following rnThe extra magazine capacity, rnSafety location rnSlide release rnrnI also kind of like the hand loop. ...more

I have bought several guns from Buds and never been disappointed products always arive in perfect condition very quick processing and delivery to my FFL rarely will you ever find a another seller that will beat their price I will surely buy more toys from them in the future you can't go wrong with buds %uD83D%uDC4D
Immediately after unboxing, I stripped it, and wiped it down to remove the excess factory lube.rnFit and finish is what you would expect from a factory firearm at this price point, nothing special, but well done.rnThe following day I took it to the shotgun / skeet range and the seven of us in our group took turns with it.rnEveryone that picked it up instantly smiled, and smiled wider after firing it.rnAll tolled we put >250 rounds though it without a hiccup. It cycled everything we put through it including some cheap "white box" target loads that were giving my old Moss 600AT problems with extraction. .... as long as you rack that slide as it was designed (with authority) it will do it's job.rnAfter some practice with technique, I was able to take clay pigeon doubles from the sky. Aiming down the barrel, not hip-firing (although one of my nephews was able to casually take a clay from his hip, that feat could not be repeated). Not that the Shockwave would be my first choice for such things, but I had it with me so why not?rn At the end of the day, everyone in our group said they couldn't remember the last time they had THAT much fun at the range. rnAt first I noticed some onlookers chuckling at us using that little stock-less Shockwave for clays (open field, using a wooden hand-thrower), but the chuckles soon turned to smiles and head-shaking that a few in our group were busting more birds than they were with their long guns. You just had to be a bit fast to keep the range short.rnVery satisfying.rnI bought the Shockwave for fun, and it delivers. However, I could also see it's use in home defense, paired with reduced recoil Buck loads.rn The only real complaint is the unfortunate placement of the screws on the INside of the fore-end strap, they started to blister my finger after a while. That problem is easily fixed by simply reorienting the strap so the screws are on the outside, where they cannot contact your hand.rnThe grip is fine, but I intend to add grip tape to both the raptor grip and the fore-end for added purchase, especially when firing high-brass shells.rnAll in all, and especially for the price Buds charged, it was one of the easiest purchases, and surely one of the most fun.rnGet one while you can.rn ...more

Dean, I do not know of any 5rd side saddle that will clear the ejection port.
