Milled or stamped receiver///accessories

Submit
unnamed user 8 months ago

It is "Milled" Zachary. They've always been milled. They changed some of the internals to less expensive stamped parts, but the receivers have always been milled steel. They did downsize the 20 ga receiver to a proprietary size dimensioned just for the 20 ga shell to cut weight. It was formerly built on the 12 ga receiver and obviously a bit heavier because the smaller bore required to utilize .20 ga.

mil spec

Submit
unnamed user 8 months ago

Mil spec is a vague term. Sometimes mil spec is a lower standard than what is made comercily. Nowhere in the product literate does it state "mil spec" I can attest that it's hard to kill even the standard 870 let alone one that is "tactical" as far as the trigger goes, I'm sure the guard is made of composite, as that is becoming a standard practice. All in all this type of shotgun is hard to destroy so long as you don't do something irresponsible or crazy with it. However if you want a cheaper alternative that is built just as well look at the Mossburg line of spend some extra and get a Beneli.
