The XM2010 was designed and developed specifically for the sustained harsh environment of the modern battlefield using state-of-the-art technology, manufacturing processes, and corrosion resistant materials. As an upgrade to the combat proven M24 Sniper Weapon System, the XM2010 is chambered in 300 Win Mag for extended effective range using the M24 700 action, and has proven out-of-the-box 1 MOA accuracy. The XM2010 features the new Remington Arms Chassis System (RACS) with a folding stock that allows for adjustment of the length of pull and cheek height and captures the bolt handle when folded. This allows the operator to configure his weapon to his personal physical requirements and transport the system more easily. Additional chassis features include a monolithic rail with removable rail pieces and cable routing guides that maximize rail insert space, co-align electroptics, and manage electric cables. Finally, the XM2010 features such end user driven enhancements as a 5-round detachable box magazine that allows the operator to quickly reload the weapon, a Leupold long range variable powered optic, and the Advanced Armament Corp TiTan quick detach sound suppressor. The XM2010 – an evolutionary leap in precision engagement capability and survivability. Remington XM2010 Ballistics

Remington XM2010 Capacity

The Remington XM2010 is chambered in the hard-hitting, long-distance-shooting .300 Winchester Magnum and has a magazine capacity of 5 rounds.  The XM2010 accepts AICS pattern detachable box magazines.
The Remington XM2010 measures 46.5 inches long and weighs 12.1 pounds unloaded and without optics.  Designed for use by Army snipers, this rifle with its folding stock is easy to maneuver in and out of Humvees, Bradley Fighting Vehicles and MRAPs but its weight would easily cause notable fatigue if carried over long distances.

Remington XM2010 Mobility

Remington XM2010 Ergonomics

The XM2010 features a folding stock that allows the user to adjust the length of pull as well as the comb height to perfectly tailor the rifle.  It uses an upgraded AR15 style grip that greatly improves trigger pull and its bolt handle sits directly over the trigger for a smooth transition.  The magazine release is located behind the magazine well similar to that seen on an AK or M14 pattern rifle.

Remington XM2010 Fit & Finish

The XM2010 is built with a free-floating aluminum M-Lok handguard.  All aluminum parts are cerakoted or are finished with a type-3 hard anodized coating for corrosion resistance.  Its 24 inch barrel is fluted to reduce weight while maintaining accuracy and all of its steel components are blued to a dark, matte black finish.
