The Ruger LC380, chambered in the popular .380 Automatic cartridge, is a great choice for single stack concealed carry pistol. In fact, this handgun has a width of less than an inch and only weighs 17.2 ounces. Additionally Ruger has incorporated a lightweight polymer frame, alloy steel slide, and fixed sights into the popular LC380. Comparable to the proven LC9, this version in .380 kicks less than a 9mm Luger and is great for shooters with weak hands. The perfect pairing of the award-winning LC9 pistol and the popular 380ACP cartridge. Dovetailed, High-Visibility 3-DOT Sight System with windage adjustable rear sight and fixed front sight. Checkered Grip Frame provides a secure and comfortable grip. Includes internal lock, manual safety, magazine safety, and loaded chamber indicator, which provides confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber.

Ruger LC380 Capacity

The Ruger LC380, as its name implies, is chambered in .380 ACP and feeds from a single-stack 7 round magazine.  For range use, aftermarket manufacturers have created larger 10 round magazines that include a spacer to prevent over-insertion, however the standard 7 round magazines fit flush with a pinky extension to increase grip surface area.

Ruger LC380 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The LC380 has a very small grip with even smaller controls, and it has a recoil spring that makes you wonder if racking the slide counts as a full workout.  Luckily, slide serrations flank the rear sight so you can get a better grip when you’re manually cycling the action.  The trigger pull is long and incredibly heavy to increase safety and reliability, and this is all to keep it easy to conceal.

Ruger LC380 Fit & Finish

Ruger is known for making incredibly durable guns, and the LC380 continues that tradition.  This durability is done by heat-treating the steel components to an incredible hardness which prevents wear and ensures user safety.  The finish used on the LC380 is also resistant to wear as well as environmental damage, though the slide and barrel are made of stainless steel.

Fit and Finish

Ruger LC380 Concealability

Concealability
The LC380 measures 6 inches long, 4 inches tall and only 1 inch wide making it very easy to conceal inside the belt, in a pocket, or anywhere else you might need to tuck a gun away.  The gun’s smooth contours and small controls are meant to reduce the chances of the gun snagging as you draw it from a holster.
