Ruger LC9s 9mm review striker-fired
The gun is offered in 9mm only. It is six inches long and weighs only 17.2 ounces. The magazine capacity is seven rounds, for a total of eight with one in the chamber. The magazine has a finger extension that gives you a bit more gripping surface. But not quite, get all my fingers on the gun. People with smaller hands should have no problem with a full grip. ...more
The Lc9s shoots nice. Light recoil easy to manipulate, use, and control. Its accurate and the perfect size for concealed carry. Not much else to say, it's a Ruger, good gun as usual and expected of them, reliably fed any ammo I fed through it. I give it a solid 10 in my opinion and I've owned many if thier products over the years. Can't go wrong with it. ...more
This is fine for a budget gun, but lacks the quality and features that can be important. The finish on the gun is low quality. Sights are milled on and not replaceable. Again, this is fine for a budget gun, but it%u2019s disappointing that Ruger is cutting costs to turn a bigger profit when it had be producing the higher quality LC9s at only a slightly higher price to the consumer. They should have improved the LC9s with a better finish rather than pushing out a great gun with its lower quality budget cousin. ...more
This is my sixth Ruger pistol and couldn’t be happier! Although, I’d rather have the Pro model as this has the magazine disconnect, it is a suitable option. The blue titanium color is subtle and not that bright. Slap on a Talon rubberized grip and it makes it even better. For the price and quality of pistol, this is a winner. Even Hickok45 praises this pistol and is a main reason I went to Buds to purchase! Paid on Thursday night, and picked up at my FFL the following Wednesday, the one after New Years! You cannot beat that kind of service anywhere! Thanks, Buds! A customer for life! ...more
