If you like a revolver, you will love this thing.
Any of those who have owned a double action revolver knows the long trigger pull. This CPX 2 reminds of the past revolver I carried for yrs. Shot my personal defense rounds through it this past week and had no issues wit...h the Speer Gold Dot 115gr self defense round. Easy breakdown for cleaning and ready to go again. Looking forward to an indoor range. Past outing was on the Ranch in TX. more

    Great Carry gun.
Bought this last week, for a carry gun on the job. Only issue I had is the screw to adjust the rear sight won’t budge to adjust it. Only shot 20 rounds through it to get a feel for the trigger. No issues so far, on...ly thing I may do is upgrade the trigger. But overall it’s a great fun. Will be shooting it more this weekend to continue with the break in process as everything is a little tight still. more

    Fantastic Deal
After shooting a few hundred rounds through a friend's SCCY CPX2, I was impressed. No FTF or FTE. It grouped well enough for its purpose: close range self defense. It is NOT for competitive shooters. All of its trad...eoffs are clearly laid out by SCCY. The trigger pull is heavy, but that reduces the chances of an accidental discharge, and you won't notice it during an adrenaline-filled self defense situation. It is on the light side, weighing less than a pound. That makes for more felt recoil, but also easier carry. If you are smaller-framed and need a lightweight carry gun, you can offset the recoil at the range by keeping more rounds in the magazine. The fact that this carries 10 instead of 7 like most similar-sized pistols should help. SCCY did a great job of making a reliable firearm that makes concealed carry much more affordable. This is like that no frills truck that starts every time you turn the key. If you want the features of a higher-priced gun, you'll have to pay for it. more

    GREAT FIREARM
I bought this gun and this past weekend I took it out and shot it and the gun shoots like a champ. I would definitely recommend this gun to my friends and family as a concealed carry gun. The gun didn't jam up on me... one time. I love this gun. This is my new favorite gun that I own. more

great for conceal carry no better warranty
This gun is for conceal carry. Heavy trigger pull for no accidents when you have one in the chamber. This is not a range gun and is not meant to shoot the center out of a target. It purpose is for close encounters. I sen...t my gun in for a smoother trigger pull and it is smooth as glass. It still is heavy but smooth. Sccy customer service treat you like you bought a 5000 dollar gun. That is why I will never get rid of my Sccy. They stand behind their product and I know they treat you like gold. more

    Great little pistol
After purchasing, I took the pistol home to inspect and clean it. I found the machining, fit and finish to be very good and comparable to more expensive brands (Berretta, FNS, Springfield). On the range, I fired 543 roun...ds, from really cheap steel cased FMJs through high end JHPs, all without cleaning. Out of all those rounds fired, I had one failure to feed from a Russian made steel cased FMJ. Accuracy is on par with most subcompact pistols. The trigger pull is long, but when accustomed to it, I was shooting very tight groups at 15 yards. The groups were actually better with this pistol than my full sized Glocks. The only bad thing I can say about this pistol would be the long trigger reset. more

    Handy sized pistol
I have had this weapon for 9 months, and my over all impression of it is...... for the price a good gun. I shoot nothing but my own reloads thru it. It shoots 115 gr bullets in the 900 to 950 fps really well. No hang ups... at all. It does require a good cleaning and oiling on a regular basis. The trigger is long and heavy, so what. The only real problem is the very, very long reset. I own over 20 differant pistols and this guns reset is twice as long if not three times as long as the rest. However if you train with it long enough it will become second nature to you. Overall I would count on it to save my life. more

    SCCY CPX 2 TROUBLES
I bought this gun about month ago to get my CHL, took it to the range with some cheap rounds and the slide completely locked up. (Wouldn't open, glad I wasn't defending myself?). I called customer service the n...ext day and the guy walked me through fixing it and blamed it on cheap steel bullets. Okay its the week before my CHL class and I bought the most expensive bullet you have. Results: At the range fired 3 loaded clips and only 1 jammed. So its the weekend of the CHL class and I bought some good mid-range brass bullets. Summary: My gun jammed at every distance in the shooting section of the class, we shot 50 rounds and it jammed every time, pretty embarrassing. I bought this gun on clearance, wish I hadn't, I guess you get what you pay for????. Wish I'd put the money towards a nicer gun, oh by the way, out of 15 guns in the CHL class mine was the only one that jammed! Stay away from this gun!!!! more

    real nice subcampact 9mm
I got mine for Christmas 2015, have shot several brands and types of bullets through it no problems. In the box was a coupon for a percentage off on a laser, I got the green dot, sighted it in. Love the pistol and laser,... it is now my CC carry, with one clip of one kind of personal defense round and a different brand in other clip. It shoots great, using the laser at 10 yards usually put them within a couple of inches. I have shown and told lots of people how well I like it, and would recommend to all. One thing is getting a gun that also feels good in your hand. more

    Clean Before Shooting
I bought this gun about 3 months ago, had read some reviews of misfires, so before taking it out to the range I broke it down, cleaned it polished a few rough spots, oiled it well and then put 300 rounds through it on th...e first trip. Had zero failures. Many people think that a new gun is clean, but do to factory dirt, shipping conditions and warehousing , I always disassemble and clean a new gun, it eliminates most of the problems people have. more

Great price for a basic gun
I bought mine last week having never fired a pistol. At first I was concerned because I had problems loading the magazine. By the 7th bullet it felt to stiff to add three more. But after running 55 rounds of the cheapest... ammo I could get it loosened up nice. I read many neg comments about accuracy but I hit my 7 inch target 45 out of 55 times from 15 yards. I feel that I missed 10 only because I was firing as fast as I could. The gun felt great in my hand and fired better then expected. I expected way less for the money. I can't wait till they start selling the 40 cal. This seems to be a perfect starter or low budget gun. It also is very comfortable to carry. With the life time warranty and the price it seems ridiculous to complain about anything more

    Great Carry Weapon
I bought this gun a couple of months ago after getting rid of my Taurus 738. While the SCCY is a bit bigger and heavier than the Taurus it is easy to carry in a front pants or jacket pocket. The trigger is fine for me an...d I really like the size of the grip. No more dangling pinkie! I have average size hands and this gun feels nice when pointing and shooting. I have found this gun to be as accurate as I need it to be for self defense and I like the 10 rounds of 9mm plus you get 2 mags! The SCCY reminds me of my old Kel-Tec pf9 only so much better. more

    Good Little Pistol
Have had the SCCY, CPX2 for about a year, have fired few hundred rounds, cheap ammo and higher priced self defense ammo, no issues! Does have a long trigger pull and reset, it is a hammer fired pistol like the Sig 250. I...'ve only have fired 115gr. ammo, and it does take time to get use to. If you're a right handed shooter, watch your thumb, because you can't rest your thumb on or under the slide release, that will cause a miss feed or no lock on last round. But good priced self defense pistol all in all. YouTube has lots of videos, always do research! more

    Bargain, but not Junk
The first thing worth noting about this pistol is the price. It's a bargain when you consider the fact that you are purchasing a pistol with a lifetime warranty, two magazines, and a simple no frills design. There a...re plenty of videos online that show how well this pistol performs. I unfortunately had the opposite experience. Out of the box mine had at least one failure to extract per magazine. After two trips back to the factory, it works flawlessly. SCCY was fantastic to work with. I had my pistol back within one week both times. Ultimately, I had a faulty barrel. They replaced the extractor the first time, but that didn't do the trick. Some people might rate a gun very poorly because of this. I credit SCCY for standing behind their product. I would advise against depending on a firearm for personal protection prior to putting it through it's paces. After 500 rounds, it functions flawlessly. more

Bought this for concealed carry and at a reasonable price. Performance wise. Feels good in hand, and yes the trigger pull does suck, but still pretty smooth. After the initial shock of first round trigger pull and heavy ...recoil was still able to get a decent 6” grouping at 7 yds(good enough for me). Shot 200 rds and had hang ups (last round in magazine) but seemed to stop after several uses. Overall this fits my need as a defensive gun that’s light to carry without breaking the bank more

Will be shooting it more this weekend to continue with the break in process as everything is a little tight still.

Overall I would count on it to save my life.

After 500 rounds, it functions flawlessly.

Stay away from this gun!!!! more

    Trigger sucks. Magazines are junk
Trigger is like 12 lbs and causes 5" groups at 7 yards. Magazines are just plain junk. Resale value is worthless.

    Great service poor product
My CPX2 was replaced 5 times and ultimately refunded. Great service unfortunately the weapon has not caught up. Frame pin and reliability issues.
