    Very pleased!
Just bought this pistol after researching many like it. Took it to the range and put 200 rounds through it without a hiccup. It definitely takes some getting used to but shoots great. Very accurate!

    First SIG SAUER
I normally like to see and feel before buying most anything but the store did not stock the "We The People" 1911. I ordered it anyways and so glad I did, This pistol not only looks sweet but feels awesome in th...e hands. The stared grip panels are not overly aggressive as the picture may lead you to believe, it does provide a good grip on the gun. It shoot very accurately, I have only put 153 rounds through it so far with no failure to eject. I have had it lock open 2 times as if the mag was empty to find when I dropped the mag there was one round that fell out of the mag well, which brings up the fact that the magazines that come with it appear to not be Sig mag's. I did purchase extra Sig Mag's and they have been flawless. The fit and finish of the gun is great, Trigger is smooth, Nite sights are awesome. more

    Great 1911
Picked up a STX a few weeks back and have been taking it to the range to "break it in". You always hear how a 1911 needs 500 rounds down range before it works correctly. How you need to buy "X" mags t...o get the pistol to feed properly. With this pistol there has been no issues from day one with either the pistol or the stock magazines. So far I have 200 rounds down range from steel case junk, Hornady, Federal, Winchester and Magtech, ball to hollow points. So far not one failure to feed, eject, stove pipe or any other issues. more

    Sig Sauer STX 1911
In my opinion, Sig Sauer are the best weapons made. I purchased this STX 1911 and took it to the range immediately after cleaning it. Flawless. I hear people talk about ammo specific fireing problems but the Sig Sauer sh...oots anything in its chamber. Compared to my Kimber and Remington hand guns, Sig Sauer is the best more

    Great gun and service!
The new online ordering that Cabela's provides makes finding and ordering a gun so easy. This sig sauer nightmare is the best gun in my collection. It fits so well in my hand and is the perfect size for everyday carry.

    Sig Sauer C3 Crimson Trace
I own seven 1911s and this is hands down my favorite and my carry pistol. I own 2 full sized Kimbers and 1 Colt that I love as well. The Sig Sauer 1911 is just as good a quality or better than Kimber and Colt. I have had... this gun for 1.5 years now. I am not a fan of the Sig magazines and bought Wilson Combat instead. Zero failures with that mag and I use Wilson Combat in my Kimbers and Colt. It is not uncommon for 1911 failures from a magazine. I have 3 colt, 3 Sig and 1 Kimber mag that do not work well in any gun. If you buy quality magazines from Wilson or the high end Kimber mags I am sure any problems you have will go away. more

First Sig, first 1911, first 45, a great gun
I have been in the market for a 1911 for quite a while. I was considering many entry level options, but did not want to do upgrades. I had considered many brands, but after talking to many folks. I came to the conclusion... to try a Sig 1911. I have not been disappointed, the gun has shot well out of the box. Recoil is not bad, accuracy and finish are great and have not had one malfunction. Came with a holster and three mags, I could not be happier. A bit big for carry, but could conceal carry, definitely a fun shooter. The Sig feels great in my hands I have large/medium size hands(large palms short fingers), but the gun feels well balanced and feels very natural to shoot. more

    My new favorite
I was a bit reluctant to purchase a 45 after shooting only 9mm's, but this 1911 is the most accurate gun I own. I own the C3 with the Crimson Trace in the handle, but the laser isn't necessary. The night sights are great... in low light as well. This gun is quite a value when you factor in the CT laser and the night sights. I find myself using this one at the range now more than my other ones. more

    Beautiful
I recently purchased this from Cabela's, I didn't read any reviews and purchased it totally based on their reputation, had I read the reviews I might have thought twice and probably missed out on owning this most excelle...nt firearm. So far from right out of the box until now with over 150 rounds fired I have not experienced any malfunctions, the sights were right on at 25 yards, the Grip mounted Crimson Trace Laser was also right on. Fit and Finish are perfect. The only small complaint is the Recoil Spring, compared to a HK in 45acp is really tight making it difficult to cock, hopefully it will loosen with time, it also doesn't have a rail as standard equipment. All said it's an awesome firearm. more

    Slick and Silky
This is one fine pistol and may be the best of the 1911's available. Sig has made this 5" extremely easy on the shooter and accuracy is easy to find as a result. This weapon is both durable and a real pleasure to fi...re. The action is so smoothe and so crisp, the kick is barely noticable even with the meanest and most powerful ammunition. more

    My #1 handgun
Had mine for a year, no failures of any kind to date. One of the smoothest actions I have tried and settles quickly for a .45. Love the accuracy, and yes it turns a lot of heads at the gun club!

Good gun and good Customer service
I have two Sig Sauer 1911's, the stainless with Crimson Trace grips and the STX. Both of these guns fire flawlessly.I did have an issue with one of the magazines out of the box with the stx. The rounds wouldn't pop up al...l the way, causing a failure to feed. Nothing I did to the mag would correct the problem.I contacted customer service about the bad magazine and they sent me a pre-paid postage label. I sent the bad mag in and had a new one to replace it pretty quickly. To the person that gave their gun a one star, the problem is most likely the magazine, not the "pistol". If you fill the mag, then empty it by hand you should notice the issue. When emptying mine, I would get one or two rounds out and the rest would be stuck as if there were a dent in the magazine, but there were no physical signs that I could see. Sometimes, the rounds would pop-up suddenly. I thought it might be a bad spring, but I am not sure what was really going on. Anyway, the customer service person took care of me and I have been happy with both ever since. more

More to offer than Kimber... Just a better pistol
I was dead set on buying a Kimber with the Crimson Trace grips, but this beauty caught my eye. After holding both weapons, the feel, heft and overall appearance of the Sig Sauer convinced me to take a chance on the Cabel...a's Exclusive Sig Sauer 1911 two-tone 5", and I couldn't be happier. The tolerances, machining, external ejector, and superior finishes on my new baby are far better than the pricier Kimber models with similar features. Kimber isn't a bad pistol, but after shooting 40 rounds through the Sig Sauer, I'm convinced I made the right choice. The Tritium night sights out of the box were near dead on, and so was the laser. I recommend this pistol wholeheartedly! This one is a keeper! more

    Great 1911
Bought a scorpion carry at my local cabelas. Sig has a great name and after my first trip to the range I was not disappointed. The scorpion models are probably one of the best tactical 1911's out of the box on the market.... Cerakote finish is exceptional, hogue grips are amazing and the night sights are perfect. Ran 150 rounds of Herters select grade brass (also bought at Cabela's) like a boss. No FTEs, FTFs, or stovepipes. The gun shot as straight as I would let it with several passthroughs.... The sig mags ran flawlessly as well. VERY happy with this purchase. If you're thinking about it, stop thinking and buy one. You won't be disappointed. more

    Sig Sauer w/ Tracer Grip
This is a great pistol! I've always liked the 45 ACPs and have shot plenty. This is by far my favorite. There was a break in period of around 50 rounds and then it was the smoothest shot I've had. The laser site would ma...ke it a great choice for beginners too. Mine came with a hard case, a lock, and two magazines. They are all great quality as well. more

    Beyond my expectations
Went around to the gun shops looking for a 1911 22 intending to buy a brandX , Found a good assortment to handle at Cabelas, and fell for the Sig 1911-22. Took it home and couldn't put it down. Decided if a gun was that ...good in 22 it would be better yet in 45. Went back to Cabela's and fount the Ultra Two Tone with Crimson Trace Burlwood grips and more custom features. Didn't need the Crimson Trace grips but they are accurate and fun. Very good shooting guns. more

Sig Sauer 1911 Stainless w/ Crimson Trace Laser
This updated 1911 stainless steel pistol came with the Crimson Trace Laser but no picatiny rail system for those that want to attach a light. I prefer the laser which is easy to operate even with those that have small ha...nds. The laser definitely helps the shooter to be more accurate. If you are looking to purchase a 45 ACP in a 1911 plate form with updated features found on higher price 1911s you may want to consider this pistol. The ergonomics on this Sig 1911 are excellent and comes with 1 single stack magazine 8 rounds capacity. Recoil is no more than other 1911s. After firing 200 rounds of Federal and Winchester I had 5 rounds that jammed during the break in period. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to others. I only rated it 4 stars due to the lack of a rail system for a light. more

Not the 1911 I intended to buy that day
I walked into my local cabelas with the intent to add a new 1911 to my collection. I wanted a Remington r1 enhanced, however one was not in stock. I couldn't be happier they were out of stock. I was about to give up and ...drive home when I saw the Sig STX. As soon as i held it I knew it somehow had to come home with me. First trip to the range yielded better than ever expected results out of the box. Sights had to be adjusted up just a hair for me, but feeding, cycling, and trigger pull were as perfect as i could ever ask for. Fit and finish are just as brilliant as function. I own several different 1911's and this is by far my favorite. more

Good 1911, but not the best
I have a 1911 Scorpion and it functions pretty well after a trip to the gunsmith. The main flaw with the particular firearm that I bought is that the trigger had a "catch" or a rough spot before it fired. I was... sorely disappointed by the trigger pull. The trigger, as bought, was about what I might have expected from a very low grade manufacturer. I took it to a local gunsmith and had all of the parts polished and the trigger pull adjusted to 3.5 lbs. and all is well but neither I, nor you, should have to take a Sig firearm to a gunsmith to make it work correctly. more

    Well built and very disirable
In spite of all my online research and after reading all the reviews, I picked out a 1911 I wanted to look at but when I got to that Cabela's gun counter, I fell out of love with my pick and IN LOVE with the Sig 1911 XO ...in the TAC-PAC. It feels good in the hand and the trigger feels the best. I bought the TAC-PAC for a can't-beat-it value and took it to the range the following day. WHO BOY! What a shooter. Very accurate right out of the box. The only ding is one of the 3 mags that comes with it, does not hold the slide back after the last round. more

    None Better!
I went to Cabela's with the sole intention of purchasing the Kimber Ultra Carry, but once I wrapped my hand around the C3, it was like that moment in the Blues Brothers when the light shone down on John Belushi. I didn't... even want to let go of this fine piece of equipment long enough to pay for it. I have been shooting 1911's for over 30 years and have never felt more comfortable with any weapon. 500 rounds of various ammo types later, never a failure, never a complaint. Great concealed carry weapon, unmatched quality and performance. more

    STX
Bought an STX about a month ago. I was a little worried about recoil when I moved up to the .45 from a 9mm. Not a problem! First trip to the range I was shooting 3-4 inch groups at 10-15 yds (shameful to some, but pretty... good for me). Have about 250 rounds through it so far with not a single issue. Sig 1911 Extreme
I purchased a 1911 Extreme and couldn't wait to break it in. I took it to the range and put 150 rounds through it without a single problem. The groupings were always tight. They could have been tighter if the shooter was... a little more patient, but that's not the gun's fault. This is a beautiful, tight, accurate 1911. A little too heavy for concealed carry, but that's not why I bought it. The Sig night sights worked well in the dark range. I'd recommend this gun in a minute. more

    Not Quite perfect
This is my first 1911 style pistol. ( C3 w/ crimson trace laser grip) I chose it almost solely on its looks and how it felt in my hand compared to some others. Its shoots very accurately and reliably for the first 50 rou...nds or so then starts to get tempermental as the gun gets hot. After that point failures to feed and go into battery become somewhat common. The gun has a very tight and quality feel about it and I suspect it is this tightness that is the problem. I also suspect it will loosen up over time. Overall I believe its a fine pistol and have complete confidence in it for personal/home defense and range practice more

    Warranty much?
I bought the stainless with Crimson Trace grips. After cleaning and lubricating, numerous catastrophic feed failures ensued. I returned the gun to Cabela's, who then returned it to Sig Sauer. After about 4 weeks, Sig ret...urned the gun filthy claiming nothing was wrong with the gun, so I shrugged and took it home. First round I tried to chamber failed to feed, and I couldn't clear the chamber or eject the magazine. Good thing Cabela's had my back- they repaid my purchase in cash. Read Sig Sauer's warranty- they don't want to stand by their product and my experience with their customer service shows it. more

    1911 Extreme - Best 1911
I can describe this gun in three words. SWEET, SWEET, SWEET. When I looked down the barrel I swear that the inside was polished like a mirror. I think the night sights are great. The Nitron finish is superb. The trigger ...pull out of the box is exceptional but eventually I will do a trigger job on it myself. This gun is extremely accurate out of the box. The sights were set perfectly. At 25 yard it shot a 2-3/8" group (see picture). At closer distances (7 yards & 15 yards) it's hard to see and count my shots because the bullets keep going through the same hole. Even though I own several 1911's this is not only my favorite 1911, it's turning into my favorite gun. more

    Sig Sauer C3
I bought this last week after a long search for a carry pistol. I went in to the store to pickup either an S&W M&P 45 or a kimber pro carry II. After handling each I still have a strong preference for a 1911 styl...e handgun. They just feel better. I saw the sig on the next shelf and was immediately drawn to it. It had night sights and the crimson trace grips for just a little less than the kimber. I couldn't pass this up. It felt tighter, the finish was better and had more features. I now been to the range 3 times with it and it has been flawless. I had two failure to feeds in the first 500 rounds but these were both wad cutters. I have 100 percent confidence in the reliability of this pistol. It is very accurate and is the perfect size for me to conceal. Great gun! more
