I give this pistol a 5 star rating as it is SIG. Fit and finish are first rate, function is flawless. There are a couple drawbacks though. 2 things to note. 1 this pistol does not have the short reset trigger, there is no indication whatsoever on the box label that indicates that it should. This is a mistake in the listing. I knew that was a risk from the other reviews that I saw. So regardless of questions that have been answered to the contrary, this pistol DOES NOT come with the SRT. 2 The trigger guard is the classic type, it is slightly longer than the modern type and will interfere with holster fit of any holster that is designed for the modern trigger guard. It will not allow the pistol to sit completely in the holster which will interfere with any retention strap or thumb break type fit. I have an open type holster which works fine, pistol sits slightly taller than a modern P226, maybe by a quarter to three eighths inch higher. I have two other holsters that have retention straps that are a stretch to snap and make for an incredibly tight fit. Overall this is a nice pistol and functions as well as any SIG, accurate and flawless function. Just keep in mind the holster fit. Grips are light and nice but I changed mine to the E2 style and added the SRT trigger reset parts. Awesome pistol and I love the classic, no rail style. ...more

I own several Sig Sauer firearms. I duty carry a Sig. Their reputation speaks for itself. This P 226, chambered in 9 mm, is both a reliable handgun to shoot and a firearm that has achieved a reputation of constant and consistent performance as can be found! I continue to thoroughly enjoy shooting it at the range. Acquiring it from Bud's Guns was as uncomplicated an exercise as it comes! I have bought firearms from Bud's Guns previously and did not hesitate to purchase again. The price and previous customer service was what hooked me! ...more

This was my 2nd Sig Sauer TALO Edition I purchased from Bud's. Once again, Bud's service is great...including communications and shipping times. This P226 did NOT come with the Sig SRT (as advertised by Sig Sauer), but a follow up telephone call to Sig and they made it right. I am a Bud's Guns repeat customer as Bud's has always treated me well! ...more

Folks who already own a SIG Sauer product probably don't need convincing, but for others... this is a fine pistol. (It's my 5th SIG Sauer.) I guess I'm old-fashioned, but I like the feel of an all-metal-framed gun. I also like the hammer-fired design. I don't plan to concealed-carry this gun, but if open carry is ever allowed where I live - then the DA/SA design with the decocker would make this an ideal side-arm. This particular (Talo) version has "aggressive" grips, which make for great shooting. Some people may consider them rough, but I like the way they feel. The only issue I can report is that the first two mags failed to lock back on the last round. However, I must confess that I did not clean the gun before shooting it the first time. Anyway, since then it has been smooth running! I highly recommend this gun (or any other SIG, for that matter.) ...more
