    My Wife Loves It!
The Sig is perfect for personal protection, specially for carrying it in a purse. My wife and I were looking for a gun she felt comfortable with and was reliable. She used to carry a .357 mag revolver that proved too muc...h for her. This Sig is smaller, has very little kick, and most importantly: the slide is very easy to pull. The slide was the very reason why she had a revolver and why she rejected many other gun brands and models. The Sig slide is the easiest one to pull. We burned through 100 bullets that same afternoon we purchased the gun without any problems at all. She also cleaned the gun because it is just that easy to disassemble and clean. more

P238 Dude Sig Sauer 380 Auto Pistol
Fired or attempted to shoot P238 out of the box yesterday. Used Sig ammo and two different magazines, yet the P238 would not properly rack the initial round. Then jammed. Continually ejected the first round when racking.... Pulled trigger with no round going off. Also pulled the trigger with no click. One problem after another. A nightmare. So much for paying top dollar for a Sig Sauer. My first and last Sig. 19 Aug 2018x more

    Great Summer CC gun..!!!
I bought this gun a month ago and its been just as advertised. Great shooter with little recoil and concealable. Plus this model has the fiber optic / night front sight. It looks great in the daytime and still glows like... other night sights at night. Highly recommend this gun for anyone plus its a SIG so you know it will be a quality gun...!! more

I bought this a couple of months ago. This is an excellent little conceal carry pistol. I have practiced at the range with the P238 and it functions as advertised. Excellent gun
I have had this gun for over a year. I finally went and got my CHL. Love the size of it to carry in my purse. Family members have tried it and liked it better then their own guns.

    Incredible 380
My wife picked this up as a new EDC gun and took advantage of the Sig swag promo. She ran 200 rounds through it today without a single hiccup. Sig makes top notch guns and the p238 is no exception. If you are looking for... an easy to manipulate and operate 380 pistol you can't do any better than this pistol. Cheers! more

Quality and a name I can trust.
Just purchased this pistol for my wife a couple of weeks ago and haven't even had a chance to clean it yet. I trust the Sig Sauer products and I know this will be another great one (hence the five star rating).

    Outstanding small concealed carry pistol
I bought this a month ago and am so happy I did. This is without a doubt a dependable small gun that I can carry everywhere. I shot a bunch of small .380 pistols and this was the only one that I felt comfortable shooting.... Have already put 1000 rounds through it. No problems. Love it. more

    P238 first time at range
Initially It shot real good but when I would reload during shooting and depress the slide stop, it would malfunction and jam a cartridge. I will clean and take it back to the range and see if it continues to jam.

I feel so much safer having this gun in my possession. I live in the country & my husband passed away in November. I have a twelve gauge shotgun & a 22 rifle, but these are not great when you need to act quickly.... My Sig Sauer is just the perfect size for me. more

    1911 Style
I have owned a couple of Sig P238 pistols. I prefer the 11911 style for self defense. I have several 1911 pistols in various calibers with occasion determining the size of the pistol I have with me. After putting several... hundred rounds of various manufacturers ammo through this one it has joined my group of carry pistols. A CTC laser is a great addition. The P238 is easy to use, accurate and reliable. I highly recommend it. more

    Perfect pocket pistol
Just picked this gem up from Academy a couple days ago. I looked everywhere to beat the price!! No one even came close!! Two separate gun shows in two completely different venues. Nobody even remotely came close to’s price. I added an extra magazine and still paid less than the average asking price. This pistol is perfect in every way possible. As soon as I bought it, I brought it home and fired 150 rds through it with ZERO issues. No extra oil, no wiping it down. NOTHING!! I’m so impressed with this Sig p238 I’m seriously considering buying another one just because. I highly recommend picking, at least one, up. more

    My Favorite 380!
I purchased this P238 at Academy after owning the 9mm version for a while. It has become my favorite small carry gun. I really love the contrasting night sights and it is really fun to take to the range. I’m considering buying a second. It did have trouble locking back after the final round in the magazine, but that turned out to be a magazine issue. I replaced the magazine and it has worked flawlessly since. more

    Accurate dependable pocket gun
Let me start with the cons my first issue is I got the gun less than 10 days ago for the 519.99 coming to 565 or so anyway they dropped the price down to 499.99 which they have done before. Someone told me to go talk to ...them at customer service and it's happened to them and they gave him the difference other than that I've had a few bullets lock up on firing there were flat nose Target Winchester 95 grain other than those two jams the more rounds of put through it the more and more fluently it fires seeming to get better as I go I've shot the 45 Springfield own SD40 and the Taurus 9 111 Pro which I don't recommend buying and out of all this sig is my favorite originally bought it with intentions of something that was small easier to conceal lighter to carry and that my wife who is a smaller woman would be comfortable shooting as it turns out not only am I Blown by the quality of the gun but the fact that it has almost non-existent recoil and the reset on it is also great real easy to follow up shots getting back on target 2 jams one loading initial first bullet in extra clip which academy did not sell me And one while firing an ejection and disassembly is trickier than sd40 and the care you need to take while reassemble careful not to forget to push Down lightly on ejector when putting slide back on. BOTTOM LINE GREAT FUN BUY IT. OH bodyguard feels like a poorly done 380 after firing the 238. Sights are amazing glow in light and dark allowing fast and accurate firing. Yesterday 147 of 150 rounds all on target more

    Exceeded my expectations
Let me start by saying that I got this sig p238 for Christmas of 2016 and just took it to the range yesterday. Shame on me, If I had known the outcome I would have gone much sooner and now can't wait to go back agai...n. I had read many 5 star reviews saying how great this pistol was but until you shoot it yourself you just don't know. Well, started at 7 yards and shot the center out of my target with the first few mags. Love this pistol and will never regret purchasing it but I can not say that about other pistol purchases I have made. more

Bought this gun a few months ago when Academy had it on sale for $499. It is the best gun purchase I have ever made. The sights on it are the best i've seen on a SIG 238. Makes it very easy to get on target, and thi...s little gun is very accurite. Very little recoil so you can get back on target very quickly, and it is a real pleasure to shoot. My son and I took it out and put 200 rounds thru it and it ran flawless not one single problem this was right out of the box. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this little gun to anyone who wants a small easy to conceal pistol that is high quality and has a super set of sights and the best part is THAT IT IS A PLEASURE TO SHOOT so if you want to put some fun back into your Range time go get you one and take plenty ammo because your not going to want to put it down. more

    Small size big punch

    Love it
I wanted a pocket gun I could feel confident in. The other less expensive .380's on the market did not make me feel confident I could hit a target if needed so I bought the Sig. Smooth operating I could feel the dif...fernce in quality just from holding it and pulling back the slide. This and the sights made me feel more confident than any other .380 I saw when shopping but twice the price. When I took it to the range at first I was not too impressed. Such a small gun in my big hands took some practice for comfort and accuracy. A couple of failures early on with some flat nosed bullets. I have now fired at least 500 rounds now without failure. With a little practice I found the confidence I had hoped for and Feel great about it. Very accurate and dependable for my use. I love it and feel it will not fail me if need it. I put Hogue grips on it from the first shot which I feel also helps. more

    Best .380 Out There
I've owned my Sig Sauer P238 for a few months now and ran about 300 rounds through it . Never any issues and feels great . I have tried different ammo and this pistol accepts all of it . No FTF or FTE with any price...d ammo . The gun is light , very easy to rack and has fantastic sites . There is no other .380 that equals the features of this particular gun . excellent little CC pistol
I bought this gun at Academy last year as something to conceal-carry. I've always had good luck with SIGs, and was looking for something easier to shoot than the Bodygaurd 380 I was carrying. I knew when I held it t...hat this was what I was looking for. Then I took it to the range and loved how easy it was to shoot and surprisingly accurate for a 2.7" barrel. The SigLite night sights were a bonus. This is the plain model,no fancy finishes, but a solid performer. The only change I made to it was putting on Hogue rosewood grips. I have now shot over 400 rounds through my P238 and have had zero problems. That is the kind of reliability you want in a carry pistol. This one has my highest recommendation. more

    Really like it
Since I developed a wrist problem, I can't shoot my bigger guns anymore because of the recoil. So I did a lot of research on the 380s and decided that although I like the design and looks better on the P238, most th...e info I read said that the Glock 42 has the least amount of recoil. So I got the chance to dry fire the Glock (at another store) and I found just doing that, it put my wrist at an angle that aggravated it. Surprised me but it but I can't argue with my wrist. So then I dry fired the Sig, oh my, it felt so good and natural. When I shot it at the range after buying it, it felt great to shoot. No problem even with my screwed up wrist. Very accurate, reliable and fun! Happy I got it. more

Sig Quality & Your Life Justify the Inve$tment
Top Notch Quality same as Sig's larger pistols. Best sights of any micro-carry pistol. Academy model seems to be the price leader for P238 currently @ $519. Recommend changing the grips as 1st improvement. Rubber gr...ips are thicker and provide better grip as well as inexpensive upgrade. Wood, aluminum, & G10 grips more attractive and add contrast but about same thickness as ugly originals. I enjoyed the form & function of my first P238 so much I bought another one. more

    The Daily Carry Solution
I've put over 1,000 rounds in the 6 or so months I've owned this pistol in an effort to make sure the trigger (7 pound pull) was broken in. I eventually had to have a trigger job and now it shoots much better. ...Excellent little pistol that you can conceal if you're only wearing shorts. Easy to carry all day in your pocket. I've had no feeding, firing, or ejecting problems whatsoever and I have to say that the factory trigger is the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. It just keeps shootin'
Six years ago I bought my little Sig for my conceal and carry gun. I pack it daily in my pocket, with extra clips in the other pocket. It has well over a 1,000 rounds shot through it. At the range, I've ran the crum...miest ammo through it. It doesn't care what ammo I run through it, pull the trigger, it shoots. Never has there been a jam or misfire. Recoil doesn't bother my bad (shooting) arm, and it is accurate. When I get home, it gets a good cleaning. The four biggest features that swayed me to the P238 are: 1. The safety features of the thumb safety and single action. 2. The sights for me are the best of most of the pocket guns. 3. Sig's reputation. I've seen many reviews going both ways for the P238. My lil fella exceeds the reliability of any semi-auto pistol I own or have owned. 4. Conceal-ability, it hides very well no matter where I carry it. In all, I treat this gun a little on the rough side, magazines especially. Should I ever need to depend on it, I know it won't let me down. more

Great gun in a small size
After a month of research from this gun and the colt mustang I finally picked the sig. about 3 months ago and love it. With the extended mag that comes with the gun it fits my hand just right but still being compact for ...easy holding. more

    Great Gun
I bought this gun two months ago and I know how important a review is because I read many on this gun. I purchased this exact same model at Academy and absolutely love it...after figuring the ammo out. First of all, acad...emy has the best price on this gun, and if you don't like the grips and want to upgrade them you can always purchase them from Sig. Secondly, the ammo, I found that the ammo that works best for this gun defensive wise are Fiochi and Hornady 90 grain hollow point XTP. I have have shot 200 plus rounds with those two ammos with no problem at all. Shooting the Bull YouTube also rated those two as two of the best brands in the Self defense XTP to use for small .380. I have shot two hundred plus rounds of FMJ with no problems either. The two brands I had a problem with where Federal hollow point 90 grain and one other hollow point(whoops forgot name). Be sure to keep this gun cleaned and well greased and lubed, because it is a .380, but in my opinion, the most reliable one on the market. Hope this helps. more

    My 2nd Sig P 238
I have written a review about 2 months ago on this site about the Sig P238 and rated it 2 stars. The company I purchased it from agreed with my assessment and chose to replace it rather then attempt to make repairs. The Sig P238 has worked with out a problem. I believe the 2nd review was needed to be fair. I have carried concealed for many years and this gun is great in all respects. As stated previously Academy has the best price. Happy and safe New Year. more

    My daily carry
I am not one to review however I have had my sig for 1 1/2 years bought at Academy fair price , over 1000 rounds many diffrent loads the only one I have had any issues with is tru steel case with that said I have the sam...e issue in my 2022 and p250 so the ammo is the issue. Now for the weapon easy to clean and a great shooter I will carry this gun for a long time or till sig comes out with a better option. more

    My worst pistol ever (new)
My first trip to the range! 60 rounds fired, 5 FTF, 2 FTE, Mag fell out twice causing a jam. If the mag is seated with a firm tap the slid stop deactivates on its own. Ammo used UMC, Federal JHP would not load. Ten yard was about 6 in. I am taking it to the gun smith tomorrow for a ramp polish. It fits well in my hand, my wife is pleased with the ease of the slide. I will try different brands of ammo, as I would like this pistol to work. I did not buy the P238 from Academy , wish I had because of their price. I will certainly come back for other products more

    Awesome gun
I've never liked small guns and I've never been a sig fan, but I saw this in the store and picked it up and it felt so good in my hand so I decided to buy it. I went out to shoot it over the weekend not much and to my surprise it was a joy to shoot. Little kick, great sights, amazingly accurate and feels great in your hand. I think I found my new favorite gun. more

    First time shooting gun great!
My wife and me just got done taking our concealed weapons class. We bought Sig for concealed weapon and to take test with. I shot great with this gun wife shot well also. She is new to handguns The recoil was a little for her she said but I loved it. I have not shot handguns very much at all and this gun handled beautifully in my opinion instructor said he could not believe I shot as well as I did with such a small gun. I give full credit to my research and buying a Sig Sauer. Best in class I was and have not shot more than 50 rounds in 20 years great GUN! more

    Great Features!
The Academy model of the P238 has excellent day glow/ night sights that are optional on most other versions of this pistol. Many reviews of this fine little handgun claim that it is a small 1911, but internally it is a m...uch more refined design with well proven elements of Beretta, Sig, and the Browning HP present. I have had a couple of failures to fire with Winchester white box FMJ ammo due to hard primers, but I have also had the same failure with a Walther PPK/S. No problems with any other type of ammo. I highly recommend this pistol for anyone that has a problem retracting the slide on other handguns. The accuracy is excellent, and those sights on the Academy are as good as it gets. more

    Best concealed carry ever!
I happen to own two of these. I have used one as my every day carry for over a year now, and have about 3000 rounds through it. I changed the recoil spring, and added a new set of grips to it, but thats all. The sights o...n this model far exceed what other guns in this size give you. I can shoot 3 inch groups at 10 yards, even though that is not what these are designed for. My wife had a S&W as her carry and decided she wanted a P238 after several trips to the range, so now we have two of these. The quality is superb. These little guns are extremely reliable. You pay a little bit more, but you really do get what you pay for. It is disappointing that these only come with one magazine. I have bought extras on EBAY. If you are open to a single action safety carry method in a downsized 1911 style, You just cannot go wrong with this gun. more

    Great Concealed Carry Weapon
I am a big fan of Sigs and this is the only subcompact that feels good in my hand right out of the box as it comes from Academy with a slightly extended 7 round magazine, although I highly recommend the slightly thicker ...rubber aftermarket grips. Easily concealable in an ITW or pocket holster, very light, and extremely accurate. Tough to beat Academy's price and impossible to beat their friendly, efficient service. This is the third handgun I have purchased from them and I doubt I'll ever buy anywhere else. more

    Love This Little Gun!
I bought this just about two months ago as a concealed carry weapon. Really a great little gun! Very reliable and easy to maintain. Fits into the hand very well, and shoots very smoothly. Doesn't take much pull to k...nock a round out. What I like most, as compared to other models, is that this a double action firearm. I can put one in the chamber, and release the hammer as an added safety. The to fire, all I have to do is release the safety and cock the hammer. Nice! more

Absolutely a fine conceal carry weapon
I purchased this from Academy 8 months ago for my wife. 1st fit and finish perfect. 2nd night/day sights highly visible and dead on. 3rd Trigger it is heavy but very controllable and crisp. 4th magazine extension helps t...he grip fill the hand, magazine function is perfect but only comes with one magazine. Ordered extra off ebay they didn't have one in the store. I have fired factory Remington/PMC Bronze/Winchester FMJ and a few hundred of my 88gr JHP reloads. My wife loves this weapon and I have become jealous of her. @ 7yrds it will cut the heart of 1 1/2" orange target stickers. more

    Shoots like a dream
I had a Walther PPK .380. It was a nice gun and I loved it. BUT, for conceal carry it wasn't worth 2 cents. The Walther is very heavy for a small gun and prevented me from dropping it in my pocket and leaving home w...ith it.   A Police Officer friend suggested the Sig Sauer P238 .380.   This is the best gun purchase I've ever made, hands down. I've fired 200 target rounds through it and it is very accurate. Forget about jams, the action is tight and smooth. The is my conceal carry gun and I'm buying 2 more. One for my wife and one for her sister. Awesome weapon.  more

    Nice little 1911
We purchased this for my wife.  Not much recoil, and easy to rack the slide.  However, it is picky about the ammo.  We tried several types before we found one that fed seems to like the Barne...s copper bullets.  Extremely small, but holds 7 rounds.  If it were more reliable with any and all ammo I would have rated at 5 stars. more

Had an issue with this gun at first.  Tried several types of ammo and all of them would cause a failure to feed.  Winchester 95 grain FMJ (little WB)was the worst because of the flat head. At first I thought it... was the magazine so I purchased another mag and was still having the issue.  After further research, I determined the feed ramp might be the problem.  I polished the feed ramp (metal polish  from your local auto store will do just fine) and now I have no failure to feed issues with any type of ammo.  Just make sure to not sand the feed ramp.  You can find videos online that provide more details. Despite the issue, the Gun itself is fantastic and shoots great! I have not had any problems with the gun and absolutely love it.  Will be buying another soon for the GF.  Just wish Sig had better QC.  more

Great conceal carry weapon for man or woman
I've had my 238 for about a year and a half , and I would never consider getting rid of it. I bought my first Sig about 12 years ago and am definitely now loyal to their quality. I added this to my other two Sig pis...tols (P226 40S&W and C3 PLUS 1911). This 238 is a miniature 1911 in .380 with the exception of a grip safety. One thing I love about this gun is you can work the slide with the safety on if the hammer is cocked. In other words, if you carry this pistol as I do in condition one (hammer cocked with safety on), you can unload the shell from the chamber without deactivating the safety. The slide is very easy to operate for those that may struggle to do so on other pistols. I can operate the slide with my pinky pulling on the rear sight of the gun if needed. They purposely designed it this way so that even a small woman can operate it. The trade off for this is that you should probably replace the slide spring about every 500 or so rounds because it is so light, but they are very inexpensive. My wife loves this pistol much more than the Walther PPKS she used to have because it is much easier to operate the slide and has a much lighter trigger pull. I have only shot ball ammo, winchester XT, Speer Gold Dot and Hornady Critical Defense through this pistol and it has never given me any problems. I bought a Sig pocket holster and carry this little gun with me every where. The pocket holster fits and looks like a wallet in my back pocket. It's much easier to carry and conceal than my 45. Before I had my 238 my 45 would get left at home a lot because it was heavy and hard to conceal. It's better to have a 380 that you'll trust and carry than a large pistol that's left at home because of the inconvenience of carrying it. Bottom line is I trust this little gun to fire when I pull the trigger, and is so easy to carry that I always have it with me. And while not having the punch of my .45 or .40, it will definitely stop or at least strongly deter any one set on causing me or my family harm. Isn't that what a conceal carry firearm is all about? more

    sig p328 is awesome
we was bought this gun for my gf to conceal for every day carry. this gun is very sweet and accurate within 15 to 25 feet for emergency take down is good range and .380 can be a deadly if using a right kind of hollow poi...nt for summer and winter carry, we been test out 5 to 6 different brand of hallow point from 85 grain to 95 grain with out a single problem. academy have a really good deal on ammo most of my ammo its from academy and we been stock more than 500 rds for emergency run down. sig p238 very good conceal size for either man and women. 1st out of the box i break down the gun and swipe off all the manifacture gease and clean throughly the whole gun and lubricate all the move parts. 1 week later we going to the ranch practicing about 200 rds of remington flat nose with out a single jam. take the gun home clean again to take out all the powder and all the residue after the gun been clean and i put some of the lubricant to all the moving parts again. but this time i run out of the good lubricant that i normally use and i have to use one that i been buy from long time a go and i never use its for any of my gun before.  2 weeks later we take the gun to the ranch again for ours chl qualification. i was shoot 50 rds 1st to make sure nothing wrong before i past down for my gf. But this time is totally different from the 1st 200 rds in the past couple week. i got jam in side out and the magazine poping so many time doesnt matter i been changing from 7 rd mag to 6 rd mag its still popping out and jam. and at that time i know on top of my head the lubricant mess up the whole fun. we both know not the gun problem its all about the other kind of lubricant that i put in. we drove home and stop by academy get some cleaning pad and a good kind of lubricant. take its home clean out the gun and put some new lubricant we just bought. 1 week later we going to the ranch again to make sure the gun function right if not about the lubricant and we have to send the gun in for manifacture to check or we have to sale the gun and get a different once. this time we shoot 200 rds again and its came out flawlessly not a single jam or magazine popping out again. we both happy i decise to kept the gun because is not the gun problem is just the lubricant that we use is not work. so my story i brought up here for you guy that is my real experience. if you using a cheap or expensive gun dont matter. dont ever buy any cheap cleaning product or gun lubricant.   practice and cleaning your gun every 6 month. that what i normally do to test out your gun condition to make sure is function right when you need its. if you treat your gun with a good care its will return a good feed back when live and death situation in just 1 or 2 second. its will save your life and your love once. more

Great Pistol and Easy to Carry
This is an awesome little pistol, SIG did it right with this one. Very easy to carry. You will need an extra magazine. While the size is great to carry, you might have to get use to it. It feels like a mini 1911 in your ...hands. You will not regret buying this firearm. Academy does have the best prices around. Best 380 hands down, Academy best deal, period!
I purchased this gun from Academy about 3 weeks ago and I have to say that Academy offers the best value on the best 380 auto pocket pistol on the market. Academy sells this gun equipped with Tritium night sights as stan...dard along with the 7 round magazine with finger rest. The next closest deal on this gun is $40 more, without the tritium sights, with the 6 round magazine. Some don't like the 7 round magazine for conceal/carry, but it's easily concealable w/ the 7rd mag in jeans or shorts or virtually any reasonable pant type with no problem, with a $10 blackhawk sportser holster and it looks like a wallet in my front pocket. The gun itself is a super easy shooter, virtually no recoil and extremely easy to pop 7 rounds in a 4 inch group in under 15 seconds at 10 feet and a 6 inch group at 15 feet. As I think we've all learned, it's ALL about shot placement, whether you're using a .380 or a .45, so I'll take a gun I know I can always be confident in the shot placement that's lightweight and super easy to conceal every time. You can't beat the quality of the Sig Sauer. The guy who wrote the 1 negative review obviously didn't buy the gun. more

    Hot little concealed carry
I rented this weapon at a local gun range and fell in love. The P238 is deadly accurate right out of the case. I would not hesitate to recommend this gun to a friend or be afraid of trusting it in my wife's hands. I... purchased this after looking at a couple local gun shops and hearing that they have them on order. What I found with the academy offer is a special all black weapon that comes with night sites and the blade is a fiber optic. As mentioned, the write up states a 6 round mag but this is a 7 round; making it a 7+1 carry. The day after purchasing I put 200 rounds through the gun. I had 3 failure to feeds - but I was also feeding it a variety of ammo. The FTF was from the flat nosed Winchesters. The Biochi, Remmington and Monarch round nose FMJ fired flawlessly. I have also fired 20 rounds of Remmington HD BJHP through the pipe with no issue. I will soon try the flat nosed FMJ so see how it eats them once the gun is better broken in. more

    Sig P-238 auto
All the other reviews were dead on correct. If your a fan of 1911's this is the gun for you. I CCW a Kimber Ultra .45 with a three inch barrel.Kimber advertises it as a good conceal weapon. It's just to heavy. ...I got my new P-238 Sig in January. I made a couple of modifcations. Got rid of "Micky Mouse" grips and replaced them with a set of nice Rosewood aftermarket one's This really improved the handling. The extented mag is great and gives you even more control on such a small gun. Came with only one mag? I purchased another from Sig and they are pricy at $45. Do NOT buy any other aftermarket mags, you will be dissapointed. The Sig night sights are unbelievable. You will have to see them to believe them. The trigger pull was way to heavy so I got my local gunsmith to lighten it up to about 4lbs. Holsters are hard to come by since this gun has been out there for about a year.. I finally found one from "Bull Dog" that fits like a glove. Got a little long winded here and hope this helps someone. more

The P238 is an outstanding carry option. Reliability is excellent and accuracy is better than you would expect from a sub-compact. The Academy price runs at least $100 to $150 less than everywhere else.

    Wow....very nice
An excellent choice if you are looking for a nice concealed handgun to carry. It is light, accurate, and apparently very cheap at Academy compared to the other stores. I purchased mine and have been extremely happy with purchase. I carry it daily and it rides very well on my belt or inside my waistband. The accuracy is awesome for as short as the barrell is. The extended magazine lets my pinky finger get a better grip, thus leading to better accuracy. The night sights are top notch, it almost looks like a couple of fireflies sitting on the pistol in the dark. I would purchase this pistol again in a heart beat! A great buy if you can find one in stock! more

Best CCW on the market and for the $$$
i got my P238 on 11/10/11 and fired it the next day, it is a dream to fire, i was shooting 1.5-2.5inch groups.i put 150rds through it and didn't have a single miss fire or jam. i paid $449 and after taxes $480 out t...he door from Academy while other places were charging on ave. $600, so kudos to Academy. they advertise it with a 6rd mag but mine came with a 7rd mag plus one in the pipe. it also came with an extension for the mag to offer more to grip on for a larger hand like mine. the night sites are out of this world, all though i have not used it at night i can see how it will be an awesome weapon to fire in the dark. it does come in single action which is not a problem for me but might be for a novice shooter, but like a 1911 you can carry it in the "condition 1" position where the hammer is cocked but the safety is on, you will just need to commit to muscle memory on sweeping the safety to fire mode when extracting it from the holster. the only draw back i can find with this firearm is it does not come in 9mm but .380 is not to bad. if you are looking for a CCW that is reliable and light this is the pistol for you. more
