    Disappointed Dave
Worse gun I ever bought. The follower got stuck in one of 2 mags and it has repeated feeder jams. The gun is back in the Sig Sauer factory, hopefully being fixed. Going to be hard to trust.

    Sigs Underrated pistol !!!
I bought this firearm about 3 weeks ago, because of the amazing price of $430 for a SIG. The guns ergonomics are great, as well as the borax is lower then most. This gun has worked great for me, although it was difficult..., finding a reasonably priced Kydex holster. Love Sig and the style of the SP2022!! more

    Excellent
Very underated pistol! But it is a outstanding pistol, very accurate, little recoil, but easy to shoot. The double action is easier than you may think! Nice and crisp, break, and extremely reliable. Never had one issue y...et. Four years, old, and still rocking, well into two thousand rounds. It's my winter carry pistol, and spring carry. It's a twelve round capacity, and mag's are easily found, $39 dollars most of the time.if it's a carry, or duty gun even home defense, the Sig 2022 9&40 are underated, but outstanding pistols. more

    Best Christmas Gift Ever!
Just got this beautiful handgun from my wife for Christmas! After a ton of research, I was undecided between the Glock and the Sig 2022. I was warned, in advance, you always get what you pay for, but being on a budget, c...ouldn't spend the $900+ for most Sig models. After all the research and opinions, I decided to take the chance and give this Sig a shot. BEST decision ever! The frame is very well balanced, fits my larger than normal hand better than the other mid-size handguns, breaks down for cleaning very easily, and true to the Sig reputation, shoots very accurately and consistently, without fail. The only thing I need to do to this fantastic out of the box shooter is make a slight sight adjustment for my shooting style. For the price of the gun, which also included 2 mags and molded holster, I don't think you'll find anything better. The Sig 2022 is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and now I'm a Sig Sauer fan for life! more

    Best under $500
About six months ago, I purchased a Sig-Sauer P2022 40. This was my first handgun I personally owned and am completely satisfied that I took my time to research this product before purchasing. Easy to clean, accurate, an...d well balanced weight is the best words I can use to describe this gun. Only one thing that I would change and the reason for the 4 star instead of the 5 is the lack of capacity of bullets (12) I would have liked a 16 rounds per clip. All in all an excellent gun for first purchase and for an experienced gunman. more

    My favorite
I have fired and carried many different pistols in my life from Ruger, Glock, and my M9 in the Army and I have to say this Sig Pro 2022 is by far my favorite.  Not only is this pistol a nail driver from a highly reg...arded firearms manufacturer but it is reasonably priced.  The combination of affordability and quality can not be matched and I have made this my everyday carry.  I also want to give Academy Sports a lot of credit as the buying experience was great and the staff was very helpful. more

    Sig's Secret
I bought this gun well over a year ago and have fired several thousand rounds through it. In all that time only had one round stove pipe on me. This gun is "bigger", so not ideal for CC on a daily basis, but it... is a great gun to have with you in the car. I stand at over 6'-3" with larger hands. The size of the grip is absolutely perfect. The little lady has smaller hands, so it's not so easy for her to shoot, but she still gets a pie plate grouping at 30 yards.  Overall, this is one of my favorite guns that I own, and I recommend everyone that I know to buy it.  more

    SIGNESS
Bought my Sig one year ago this month. Have fired Winchester FMJ white box and Winchester Lawman JHPs through with zero issues. This is a great firearm. After more then 1000 rounds I have come to trust this weapon a lot.... Tipical of sig the grip is a little big for me but for a guy I have small hands. Sig is really proud of their magazines and this gun only comes with one. Grrrrr. All in all great weapon and really accurate out of the box with no adjustments. Clean and shoot and you'll see what I mean. more

Another Great Firearm from Sig Sauer
I bought this firearm at the Academy Sports here in Rock Hill back in February and have been happy with the purchase since. Originally I was looking at the p250 compact but the gun didn't feel right in my hands, the...n I saw this, picked it up and it felt perfect. The 3 dot sight picture is very good and very visible. I've put at least 400 round through this firearm and it cycles any ammo brand perfectly. Break down is easy. Trigger pull is smooth and great! DA its 10lbs and SA its 4lbs but feel lighters. Its very accurate as well. Only thing I hate is it comes with only one 12 round magazine. Highly recommend this firearm to anyone that's a new shooter or anyone looking for a firearm for either carry, home defense or as vehicle gun option. So for a good quality firearm at a excellent price, this one is a good deal. more

Few that are better for the money!
I am a lefty and really like the easy mag release switch over. Very nice pistol for the money. Top notch features and from everything I can tell, a gun you can count on. Perhaps not military grade but for your average pe...rson you will not wear it out in your lifetime. Nice home defense gun. more

    Great Handgun!
I have used many different weapons over the years and bought this one at Academy because of the price and I like feel of most Sigs in my hand. It comes with different backstrap options for different sized hands. I like t...he smaller one. I only ever had 3 FF/FE and those were all in one box of Monarch steel case. Everything else (all different brands, FMJ, JHP) has worked flawlessly. My wife and daughters can all shoot this quite well, and the slide is the easiest to use of any handgun I have used. The accessory rail had a scope ring with a flashlight on it now, and I bought a stainless steel guide rod to get some more weight on the front end and decrease recoil a bit. Everyone that shoots it like it. more

    Greatly Disappointed
I bought the Sig Sig 2022 based on price and reputation. I was doing great until about the 200th round. The slide began to lock open several times during the shooting of a full clip. I thought it was just me with the wro...ng grip. I shot with one hand and the same thing happened. I contacted Sig and they test fired it and claimed that nothing was wrong with the weapon. Sig stated that it must be broken in. I put 300 more rounds through it and it continued to lock the slide back. I sent Sig pictures and videos of what was happening and Sig took it back to the factory and test fired it again. They returned it again and stated it was the ammunition or operator error. I explained to them that I am a 35 year veteran of law enforcement and did not believe it could be operator error. I also told them the ammo was factory ammo in Federal 155 and 180 grain JHP. I asked what ammo they are using for the test and they stated that it was Sierra 155 grain FMJ. Well, for anyone that knows about weapons the FMJ easily feeds in semi-autos. Needless to say, I still did not receive any help from Sig and am stuck with a .40 cal that doesn't like JHP and a pistol I cannot carry as an off-duty weapon. I would think twice about buying the Sig 2022 if you plan to shoot JHP. The only other con is that you have to deal with the factory for problems with the weapon and not with Academy. The only plus was the accuracy which was better than my duty weapon. more

    Great handgun!
My firearms instructor background goes back to the Marine Corps and includes being a police firearms instructor and a lifelong shooter. I was always satisfied with my Sig P229, so I decided to take a chance on Sig's... "Cheap" pistol. The fact that I like the SP2022 much more than my P229 is a bit upsetting, as you can by two and a half of these for the P229 MSRP. The trigger on the SP2022 is much better out of the box than any of the "classic" standard model Sigs I've used. The double action trigger pull is a little lighter, but a lot smoother. The trigger has a shorter and more positive reset than the standard Sig trigger. The weapon has thus far functioned flawlessly and it is very easy to shoot accurately. The fit and finish is just a bit below a "classic" Sig, but barely so. I am extremely happy with this weapon purchase, to the extent that I find myself grabbing this weapon for duty use in lieu of my Kimber. If you are looking for an excellent duty or defensive handgun and on a budget, I would highly recommend you pick one of these up. You cant go wrong here! more

    good gun for the price
Shoot 250 rounds through it with only one ftl on my second round due to limp wristing it . Used 4 different brands of ammo with different grains . It shot best with higher grain more expensive of the bunch . winchester f...mj HP . All tho shots were tight in groups it seems to shoot low and off to the left . But I hadn't shot in 10 years . Adding a laser so maybe that might help me out . I did start off with some of the cheapest ammo first monarch and even tho they said that was a dirty ammo it wasn't to bad however I noticed it got harder to keep my grouping tight after only 150 rounds so I guess the ammo wasent the best . All In all in my opinion with good ammo and the guns good looks and good name it is well worth it more

    Great Pistol
For the money it can't be beat. I purchased this pistol not sure of what to expect. This is the first Sig that I have owned. I had heard from several different people that this was a cheap gun and I should look at s...omething else. After about 300 rounds put down range I am here to tell you that this gun may be cheap but at 50 yards, (yes I did say 50 yards not feet) I was able to bullseye and keep the vast majority of my rounds within the target circle. The point being there is nothing wrong with this gun and I would highly recommend it to anyone. more

    First Sig
I have owned different firearms since I was a young boy growing up on a farm in Kansas. Now living in a large city the need for firearms has changed from recreation to necessity due to the amount of crime and dangerous s...ituations that can be encountered at any time. I have other pistols for recreation and self defense but I wanted to treat myself to a new toy so I dead a lot of research and asked a lot of questions. I also received advice from a local sheriff. I decided to purchase the Sig in 40 cal and made sure it was not the DOA model. I've fired it and held tight groups right out of the box. No adjustments needed. The extra grip allowed me to change to a larger grip for my large hands and is comfortable to hold, carry, and fire. The only negative thing about this hand gun is the magazine. Loading 12 rounds is difficult and they can get in a bind which takes a lot of effort after the first 3 rounds. It is a great gun for the money and hopefully the magazine will losten up in time with maintenance and oiling. I will enjoy this weapon and I'm sure it will be easy to use in any situation. more

    Excellent Pistol
I previously have purchased a Sig SP2022 pistol in 9mmP and it has been an excellent pistol with zero malfunctions out of the box. Since the 9mmP was so great, I decided I needed the .40 S&W caliber too. Again, zero ...problems out of the box and it is another winner from Academy Sports for an excellent price. If anyone is looking for a WINNER pistol, the Sig SP2022 in any caliber is the one to buy. Besides being excellent out of the box, they are accurate! You just can't go wrong with this pistol!!!!! more

    Can't Believe it's a SIG!
All I can say is AWESOME!! Don't let the price fool you, I've had a bunch of people tell me, " oh I wouldn't by that because it's probably a piece of junk, and cheaply made, and it's probabl...y not even a real SIG". Well I can tell you that there WRONG!!! This is a real Sig Sauer and it is built on the same platform as all of the Sigs are with there "High Quality Parts & there Reliability". Feels really great in the hands and has interchangeable back straps to fit any one shooter. Even though it's polymer frame, it still feels like your holding a quality firearm. It's also VERY accurate and easy to shoot. I'm telling you, once you get this gun and head out to the range to shoot it you WILL BE HOOKED!! That my friends is what I like to call the SIGNESS! I bought this for my birthday in October of 2011 and I have about 800rds threw it and haven't had any problems what so ever. I've shot cheap ammo to expensive ammo from target rounds to all kinds of hollow points, and it just keeps shooting everything I put in it! Thats the type of firearm I like to have by my bedside and on my hip. But hey don't take my word for it, go out and get you one and you'll see what I mean! more
