Decent pistol, shoots well, good grip, a little too big to conceal.

Bought this gun 3 weeks ago. I’ve run 400 rounds through it with nary an issue. Very accurate right out of the box. Long trigger pull for double action but very smooth. Very light follow up shots. I thought this wo...uld work IWB but it’s a little wide for me. Recommend this for open carry only. Two 15 round mags included. Fine pistol I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality DA/SA semi auto pistol. more

    Sig Sauer P2022 9MM
The Sig P2022 9MM is the cheapest high quality home defense firearm on the market. It’s high compacity and very accurate.

    Love it!
I bought this gun two days ago on sale. I went to get a smith and Wesson SD9VE to replace my sccy cpx2, I saw the SP2022 on sale for $399 and I just couldn’t pass up. Might be cheap for a sig, but it shoots just a sig. more

Great Pistol. Bang for the Buck!
I bought this pistol about month ago and have shot thirty rounds or so. I fired from 15 yards away and making 2 inch or so groups on target. I like the feel of sand style grip texture and size of the pistol fits me like ...a glove. My cousin shoots a Smith Wesson 9 shield and was very impressed with Sig SP2022. First upgrade later on might be trigger job and stainless guide rod.-- reason I did not give five star rating . All in all , I'm satisfied. more

High quality firearm for a low price
Shot my 2022 for the first time about a month ago and was not disappointed. Hit what I aimed at from 7 to about 20 yards. Recoil was smooth due to the weight, it's a SIG, so it's not light. I personally wouldn&...#039;t carry it as it's a bit too heavy and bulky for me - I'm 5' 7" 170 lbs., but that said, a bigger person with a heavier frame could carry it without much issue. Came with 2 -15 rd. magazines and a case lock. All for $399 plus tax. Can't beat it. more

    Great Firearm
I wanted to try a hammer fired semi auto. This gun appealed to me so I bought it. I have shot 200 fmj and a box of the Sig elite ammo. It fired every one without any problems. Just need to train on that first double acti...on pull. I cut off the extension on the magazine to make it easier to conceal. This is a high quality da/sa gun at a great price. more

    Note on content
I purchased this last night, and have not fired this pistol yet. I did want to note for others who also have earlier 2022 packages, that this is a "basic" kit, which does not contain the alternate grip set or S...ig pancake holster that we saw a year or so ago. But the SIG promo mag adds value. It still is a good price on a valid hammer fire pistol more

    Sweet Shooter
This is my first Sig. Now I can say it will not be my last. Straight from the box it was accurate. From the very first trigger pull, it felt broke in. My wife is not much of a shooter but preferred this over 3 other bran...ds. Most of which are high end. The price was better than I expected and the extras helped. Two mags, two different size grips and a holster. No one in their right mind could turn down such an offer. Thanks Academy! more

    Great gun
I’ve had this gun less than a month, so I’ve only been able to put 100 rounds through it so far. I absolutely love it! I only gave it 4 stars because the front sight was out of alignment. I bought it at Academy a while back and have used every kind of ammo in it without any problems. It is my favorite out of any 9mm I have shot. I own 3 and it is by far the best. It also costs $500 less than it's brother that the SEALs use. Fits my hand perfectly. more

    Great Gun
I was really worried because of the price point for a Sig. I figured they must have put a lot of cheap parts in the gun. As it turns out, it works like all the others I own, but with the polymer frame, and use of less me...tal, you get a great price point for a very good pistol. It is just as accurate as all the other Sigs I have. Boy was I surprised. Pick them up now before Sig figures out they can charge more. more

    Great starter pistol
This pistol is arguably the best value in a DA/SA 9mm semi-auto pistol. Best grip texture I've ever found. Brand new and it cycles a variety of FMJ and JHP low end ammo flawlessly. Might be a bit top heavy for some ...shooters, but I find it helps minimize muzzle rise. Long and heavy 10lb trigger pull in DA first shot, but you can carry a round in the chamber fairly safely as a consequence. Besides you can always cock the hammer with a round chambered to get SA for less trigger pull and better accuracy. French police forces tested it with hundreds of thousands of rounds before adopting it countrywide. more

    Fantastic pistol
The Sig Sauer 2022, is a great accurate and reliable pistol. Its is modeled after the P226 but the 2022 is just a lower cost, but does not lose any of the Sig Sauer performance. Trigger is a little long in double action,... but very easy to get use to. If you want a accurate reliable high quality Sig Sauer and not be disappointed the P2022 is it. One and only drag, Sig Sauer magazines can be costly. more

Love the DA/SA with the de-co...cker and very accurate, even at 25+ yards. Bought this from Academy at a steal of a deal and it came with two 15rd magazines. A fine handgun with the legendary SIG quality and dependability for under $500...I recommend it all day long. more

    Perfect First Gun
This Sig is a perfect gun for a starter, with the option of single or double action and a de-cocker for safely letting the hammer down safely. The 2022 has larger grips than its brother the sig p250 but it comes with adj...ustable grips and a holster. Everything you need and more. Two magazines and a holster, also lucas gun oil for the first year if you can store it correctly. Very affordable for a great quality gun. more

    Fantastic gun!
I have owned my SP2022 for about 3 years. Only gets better with time. I have probably put 2000-3000 rounds through it. Extremely accurate. A little... heavy and bulky for everyday conceal carry but I would highly recommend gun for its accuracy and reliability. more

Excellent Pistol. Perfect for the range. Ideal CCW
I bought this pistol recently and I am very impressed with it. Many people compare this to the P226 and I can see why. The SP2022 is very similar in both function and feel as the other P226, but for a fraction of the pri...ce. The only major difference is the SP2022 has a polymer frame instead of metal. With modern advancements with polymers gun makers can make their frames out of the material to reduce the overall weight of the gun without sacrificing the strength or durability. This gun shoots true, cycles flawlessly, and has not had any failures as of yet. The French Police shot more than 400,000 rounds through the SP2022(without a single failure) before adopting it as their primary service pistol. This gun excels in all categories that matter to me. Its both reliable and affordable. For nearly half the price, you can get a gun extremely similar to the P226. Buy the SP2022 if you are in the market for a $400-500 handgun, you will not regret it. more

    shoots horrible
I bought this a few months ago. I went to the range and put about 300 ends thru it. I was using three different types of ammo. It shot bad with all ammo. I had one failure to load. I has to be the worst gun I own. I shot... with my ruget sr9 and was very accurate. The sig was all over the place. My son shot with it also and agreed. I bought the gun because so many people praise it. My glock 21 was smoother and a lot more accurate. I really like the way it feels and the design. But if you cant hit your target, what's the point. Haven't decided what to do with it. I may try sending it in, but from what I read, that's pointless. Or I may dump it at a show. more

    Great firearm!
I got this because it was a Sig and it was at a great price! The capacity is a good 15 rounds and the magazine is high quality. The grip is textured and is easy on the hands when shooting. The slide release and decocker ...are very easy to operate without losing grip. The trigger is average and gets better after putting rounds though it. Recoil is a dream with this gun and is barely noticeable. I recommend this firearm for first time shooters and seasoned shooters alike. more

    Terrific Value!
I've had my 2022 in 40 cal for a couple of years now and am very happy with it! To the negative reviewers...If you're going to compare this to a top of the line SIG or any other $900+ gun than of course you are...n't going to like it much. Compared to a Glock or S&W M&P this thing holds its own! I'd take it over many much higher priced guns as well. I'm not a firearms expert, but this gun is reliable and affordable. I would never use this as a match gun but I'd bet my life on it. more

    Very reliable and accurate!
This was the first pistol I bought about 6 years ago and loved it, never had any problems. I put about 3500 rounds through it and it fired like new, my groups did tighten up after about 200 rounds when I got it. In hard ...times I had to sell it. Now that all is well, I purchased another one this past weekend at Academy and to my surprise Sig started including two mags, the small size grip, a holster and it's in a nice plastic case, even on this basic model. They used to come in a cardboard box with only one mag. I noticed on one review someone said they don't like carrying it with one round in the chamber because it has no half cock like a 1911. Well you don't need a half cock with this pistol. The hammer will not hit the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled, it's one of Sig's safety features. Just try it, pull the trigger and hold it down and push the hammer all the way forward to see how far it has to travel to hit the firing pin, then release the trigger and try to push the hammer forward, it won't. If your in the market for a reliable pistol that not to expensive, GET IT! Look this pistol up on You Tube and check out the torture test and reviews. You can't go wrong with Sig Sauer when your life depends on it. more

When looking for this gun for a lot of different reasons, good reviews, nice looking, and it is a SIG and many other. Went to the local academy and were sold out,so I call the closest to me and had one in stock, bought it an...d is the best of all the weapons I have, took it to the range no long after that and put over 100 rounds of different types of ammo and work flawless a couple weeks after that, put another 200 rounds of again different types of ammo and wow. This is a good gun you can rely on and be certain that you can depend on it when you need to,easy to take apart and clean. Never thought of buying a SIG for that price range, it has many good features one that I like the decocking lever which I think all of the single doble action pistols should have. Overall it is a well made gun from SIG. Thumbs up. more

I bought this gun in December on sale at Academy for $399. If you do your research you will find what a great deal that is for this particular pistol. There was a couple of nice surprises, the advertisement said it came ...with a 10 round clip. There was 2-15 round clips with my pistol. Thank you Sig Sauer. I have put approximately 350 rounds through gun with no failures. Like I said before if you research the internet you will see this gun is a real bargain. more

    Great pistol, needs two magazines
I went through all the comments on the Pro 2022 and thought I might as well add mine to the list. I purchased the pistol about six weeks ago and have now put at least 600 rounds through it with no, gun related problems, all. I shot local reloads, new brass, aluminum, and steel cased ammo with no feed or ejection problems. I did have three FTFs in 100 rounds of Monarch steel but a second pull of the trigger took care of that problem. The Pro 2022 shoots the cheapest ammo I can find with excellent performance and accuracy just like my P220 Combat. Yes the frame is polymer but this is still a Sig Sauer. I looked a lot and you can’t find a better hammer fired DA/SA pistol for anywhere close to this price. How will it withstand 5000+ rounds of cheap ammo? I’ll keep working on it until I find out. I’m sure if there is any problems, Sig Sauer with take care of them. One negative, provide at least two magazines. more

    Straight Shooter
I have owned this Sig for about 9 months, felt good in my hand at the store, and is very comfortable to shoot. I has ate everything I put in it. Took a couple of mags to get dialed in and used to high bore axis but after... that it has been a nail driver. I had a budget for Glock, held them both and SIg felt better and I saved money to boot. I conceal carry this gun and it is confortable to carry all day long. Sig quality at an amazing price. more

I purchased this pistol about 3 weeks ago for 429.99. The cost is less than most Sigs but I still consider a good sum of money and the pistol still maintains the quality one would expect from Sig Sauer. I have shot aroun...d 450 bullets through the gun and it performed flawlessly. I am a through and through Glock fan and is mostly what I own. I believe in Glock perfection. This is my first Sig and I am taken away by the overall quality, accuracy, and dependability so far. Smoooth trigger pull and decent reset. Perfect carry gun with one in the chamber and in the de-cocked position. First shot will be the long double action pull and the subsequent 15 being the same smooth short trigger pull in single action. I shoot more accurately from 10 to 60 feet than any pistol I have ever owned. I have heard of people having trouble finding a holster for it. If you are in that category go to or shtf holsters on amazon. They make and excellent iwb holster for the 2022 for 59.00. I love mine. The top edge where the pistol enters is bevelled out making it credibly easy and smooth to re-holster you weapon. more

Great quality and extremely accurate shooter!
I bought this firearm as an experiment. I wanted a P226 or something like it, but couldn't afford the 1000+ price tag. This was to be a compromise gun. That said, I'm no longer looking for any of Sig's hig...her priced guns because this does all that I want! It's easy to operate, easy to take-down (especially for people who are familiar with 1911's) and easy to carry. I especially like the added benefit of the hammer for additional safety when re-holstering (thumb hold the hammer to make sure an accidental/negligent discharge doesn't occur). I ended up gifting this to my sister later because she needed a gun, but I would re-purchase this again in a heartbeat. I could hit a bobbing and swaying human sized target chest or head as it was moving backward...and did it easily. I shot better with this firearm than I do my Glock 17 even. I'll be picking up the Sig P320 now that I've given this one away. And I'm sure that one will live up to the hype as well (though this SP2022 is better looking IMO, the Sig P320 carry will conceal a little better). more

    Poor Design
Very sharp recoil for a 9mm. Even fully loaded the heavy, tall slide is too much for the polymer frame. It points like a Sig, but doesn't shoot like one. It was like they took the slide off something like a Sig 229 ...and haphazardly added it to a light polymer frame. It didn't work. After only 50 rounds I am giving up on mine. Avoid this model. more

Best gun g for the money in my opinion.
I purchased this gun about 3 weeks ago. Took it to the range. It is VERY accurate and has a nice easy trigger pull. My wife shot it as well and also liked it. For a big gun - and what you get - it's amazing. It'...;s not a carry conceal weapon - but if you're looking for a full-size pistol- it's the best deal on one out there I think! It's a Sig Sauer! Highly recommend. more

A great and oft overlooked bargain
Being a long time SIG owner of most of their higher end guns I was slightly skeptical of this "polymer wonder" but the sale price at Academy was just too hard to walk away from. What to say other than "wow...". Out of the box it shot great giving the SIG performance that I have come to expect. It carries far better than a 226 or 229 without giving up any of the firepower or performance. The only thing I have done to the gun is replace that low end "dot sights" with SIG #8 trijicons and the performance went from very good to excellent.I might add a after market steel guide rod later(a little extra front end weight) but do not think that it is really necessary. If you are looking for a good CC gun or entry level gun that isn't a Glock(and cheaper than a Glock!!) and not as pricey as the higher end SIG's but still has the performance...then this is your gun. more

    Amazing Pistol
I had originally come in to buy the Beretta 92A1 and decided to take a look at the P2022 and it felt great in my hand. I decided to get this weapon and do not regret my choice. Poor man's 226
My 2022 has proven reliable with nearly 1,000 rounds down range. Only one hangup(FTE) that was ammo related. In the right hands the gun is accurate, though the frame/default grip size may not fit all well. You may have t...o experiment with different grips/techniques to find what yields the best accuracy. (Note Sig makes different grips, but they can be tricky to find now) Holsters are limited compared to similar Glocks or XD's, particularly once a light/laser is added. I still prefer a 226 (metal frame and added weight for a nightstand gun), but for the money the 2022 is still a great value and one of the cheapest DA/SA 9MM on the market. more

    Smooth great action
I purchased this gun nearly a year ago. It has lived up to its reputation as a very fine hand gun to own. It is a little to large for a pocket pistol, but it can hide alright as a holster gun under a jacket are untucked ...shirt without notice. The trigger pull is so easy it only took 3 shots at 60' to be in the bulls eye, and from then on thats where they stayed. I'm a USMC Vet with a ground pounders training. I know how to appreciate the feel and performance of a fine tool such as this hand gun, so I rate it as excellant. more

I've owned this gun for around 2 years now and have not had a single problem with it. at well over 35 ounces, it makes for a comfortable CC for being a full size service weapon. I have put the most expensive ammunition, ...and the cheapest ammunition through it without a single fail to fire, or fail to eject. After 2 years that's well over a thousand rounds I have put through this weapon without a single problem. This weapon was well worth the full price... I'm glad I got it on sale. more

Nothing bad to say about the Sig, shoots well, nicely balanced, one of the better feeling polymer handguns on the market, the recoil is evenly distributed so that muzzle flip/rise isn't bad, only ships with one mag but t...hey do ship with a holster now as well as a rail, so picking up a $30 magazine from mec-gar isn't as bad as buying a $50 holster. more

Wife had to have this one
We came to the store looking for a SIG P938 but left with a 2022 and could not be happier.  The wife is getting into shooting and she is a natural.  She wanted a P938 to carry but before she put her card down t...o pay felt this one in her hands and had to have it.  She loves the SA/DA trigger and was hitting the center of the target right out of the box.  Now I must say my wife is a country girl and a natural shot but with this gun if you can't hit what you are aiming at maybe you need just a little more practice.  This gun has had two FTE in the first 200 rounds but it was all on the cheapest ammo we could find.  She will get her carry gun but I have been told this one is going to be her favorite range gun/Bedside pistol.   more

    A New Sig Fan!
I fell in love with this gun as soon as it touched my hands. Everything about it just feels right to me. The slide is smooth! The lever release is so easy to operate and placed perfectly for me! The decocker is wel...l placed as well. The grip just seems to form to my hand. I tried every other major brand and nothing felt anywhere near as good as this did to me nor did they operate as smootlyh. Now, I am a new gun owner with limited experience shooting friends guns. I was only able to get off 50 rounds at the range with no issues using Blazer Brass 124 grain to test and start the break in period. After the first few mags I got adjusted to the sights and was making 3 to 4" groups from 7 and 15 yeards. I also purchased some cheap DRT 85 grain hollow points to keep for home defense. I shot three of them to see how well they would work, and while they fired smoothly, two of the three casing failed to eject properly jamming the gun slide. I spoke with someone else who has fired many of those DRTs through his 2022 with no issues at all so I'm wondering if this could just be the newness of the gun as I haven't fully broken it in or the lightness of the ammo at only 85 grains? I just Purchased some Hornady Critical Defense 115 grain rounds to replace the DRTs but haven't been able to shoot them yet. I can't wait to go try them out as I'm now looking for reasons to go back to the range to shoot my new gun. Did I mention I like this gun? more

Knowing that these were in short supply and that anyone who had them in 9mm were asking WAY more than they should have, I decided that Bud's would be my choice for my first handgun purchase. The Sig Sauer SP2022 was a fa...ntastic choice, and Bud's was fast, helpful and wasn't gouging their sellers with "gun crazy" pricing for no reason. I bought from the right online store. Within a week, I was holding my SP2022 and ready to hit the range. As for the Sig, I couldn't be happier. The SP2022 is more than a decade old Sig, but still seems to be flying under the radar for some reason. It's one of the few polymer handguns in Sig's vaunted lineup, so it always seems to be the red-headed stepchild. When you compare to the Glock 19 and other similar polymer guns in this price range, it was a clear winner for me. Quality of build, Sig's reputation and the best fit of the bunch for me made it a clear choice. I also LOVE the decocker on this gun, too. Other than a stubborn grip system on mine, I have ZERO complaints about the gun. Hitting a bulls-eye on round #2 through the gun was also a nice touch, too. 300-rounds later, I am still in love, and the SP2022 just keeps getting better and better. Yes, the gun only comes with one magazine (bummer) and now it ships in a cheap cardboard box (bummer #2) instead of the nice Sig case, but considering the price point, you would expect some concessions in certain areas. The magazines look to be coming into a better supply chain right now, so that will bring the costs back down into acceptable prices. Pick up a Plano small single gun plastic case and you have all you need. I love the pistol, but now my problem is trying to convince the wife that we *need* a Sig P232 or a P238 in the house. Oh, and if you plan to CC or shoot often indoors and your range lanes can tend to be on the darker side, I would choose the night sites. I shot indoors for the first time yesterday and found the dark range hellish on my 40-something bifocal needing eyes. I was wishing for the night sights for the first time. Might look to retrofit those at some point if my indoor range time increases. more

I received this gun a few weeks ago and have had a chance to put a couple hundred rounds through it,both 115 gr. FMJ and 147 gr Federal Hydrashok.. The gun is accurate and shoots to point of aim. I've had no problems wit...h feeding or ejection. I have also had a chance to shoot 50 rounds through another 2022 that a friend bought at the same time. That gun is equally accurate and has had no malfunctions. Double-action and single-action trigger seems very similar to my SIG P220, as does general quality, fit and finish. Takedown is not quite as simple as P220 but still very fast and easy. Although this gun is nearly the same size as my SIG P220, it seems to lend itself to concealed carry better than the P220 when using Fobus paddle holsters for each. The only downsides are lack of hard plastic case and no second magazine. SIG didn't have any available but I did manage to find one (15 rd.) at CDNN for $42 delivered. This is a very good gun for the money. It was a pleasure to deal with Bud's. This was my first purchase through Bud's but it won't be my last, assuming we are able to keep the left-wing hoplophobes in Washington at bay. Thanks Bud's! more

Great gun, I should say great Sig, for the money. Other polymer frame guns can be had for less that are just as good, but a Sig for less than 500 dollars that is brand spanking new? That's a deal. The double action pull is horrendous or would rate it 5 stars. Other than that, gun is made very well, has a nice standard pica-tinny rail, single action trigger is nice. I like the grip angle and the overall weight and feel of the gun. It's a bit bulky for CC, but can be done. Shoots accurately enough. It only came with one magazine, but I did find some more mags from sig although they were a bit pricey. The gun came packaged in a nice plastic lockable case and came with an extra grip that can be placed on the gun to increase grip size for people with big hands like myself. Take down of the gun isn't as easy as the standard 200 series of sigs are, but still relatively simple. There are quite a few accessories available for the sig pro and holsters are relatively easy to find. This gun has become one of my home defense guns due to the accessory rail that can mount a light. I like the gun. more

The SP2022 is a fairly large, well-built pistol with many of the features of the all-metal Sig-Sauers at a much lower cost. It is accurate (it shoots like "a little rifle," according to GrayGuns) and has a smooth trigger.... Mine seems to be completely reliable. One complaint about these full-size autos is that the magazine capacity is smaller than comparable products by other manufacturers, but you can purchase Mec-Gar magazines that feature an extra two rounds over the factory mags, and make up the difference (see Greg Cote, LLC, for a place to buy these). All in all, an excellent pistol and a superb value for the money. more

    The Cheap 9mm
The Sig SP2022 9mm pistol is a good pistol it has a great size and weight, its got a smooth slide action and a good trigger pull the only fault that I have with this weapon is that finding holsters and spare magazines is... very difficult and expensive I bought my pistol in May and in June I had finally found a holster that was not an outrageous price I find it ironic that not even Academy sells a holster to fit this weapon I also went to Bass Pro Shop and to my local Walmart and none carried a single holster for this model pistol I was finally able to find one on Amazon and I have yet to find another magazine that was not 60 + dollars yes this is a good affordable pistol but it is a pain to find different accessories for it. more

Great looking gun better looking than a Glock 19 and a $127 cheaper, and it has a hammer and de-cocker. 15+1 SA/DA , I have had several hundred rounds through it now and no FTE or FTF and it is starting to get better on ...the accuracy like others have mentioned. I think this pistol is a little thick to be a conceal carry(I like the LC9 for carry) but it is a good tactical piece picatinny rail and high capacity. This was my first shot at the sig cold guns. First off let me say I am absolutely in love with SIG guns. I own a P220 .45 & P239 .40. Both of which had the slides hand rolled in Germany. So i had high expectations going I also conceal carry two different glocks so I am somewhat knowledgeable about cold guns ( polymer guns ). I think SIG hit a triple with this gun. Not a home run and also not a pop out. They have several ergonomic features in their favor. It had a good fit and finish and as always to hell and back reliable. You just can not get this gun to FTF or go bang. The accuracy is what you would expect from a SIG. Long live SIG guns! more

Always wanted a Sig but their prices was always out of reach for me, until I found the 2022 that is. This gun is soooooo underrated but I see the secret is getting out on these affordable Sigs. I put 200 Rds of my reload...s thru her and she ate them up like candy with ZERO problems. My brother in law owns a P250(another good Sig btw) and we compared them side by side at the shooting range and there was no question that we both loved my SP2022 more then the P250! My SP2022 was more accurate for both of us and I believe its due to the DA/SA trigger on the 2022 which was smoother then the LOOOONG pull on the P250. After the range he wanted to trade guns but I was like HELL NO! LOL. This gun is built like a tank and the heavy weight proves it. This is a great home defence gun/ range gun that wont cost you an arm or a leg with the Sig quality they are known for. If you want to CCW this gun don't fool yourself this gun is too big and heavy to do so and there are so much other CCW options out there that are much better for that. more

Great duty or home defense weapon.
I bought the sig p2022 in 9mm a year ago from Academy and I just got a second in .40. Both guns have performed flawlessly. They have the quality construction you would expect from Sig Sauer but at half the price. The gun... is very easy to operate and tear down. It's very accurate and has a smooth trigger pull. Mine does seem to be a bit picky with rounds (just don't use the real cheap stuff). It is a bit heavy for a polymer frame but it's not bad. I've used mine as a duty weapon and for home defense and I'd highly recommend it. It could also be used for concealed carry with a sturdy 2 point holster. Overall a great gun that I'd bet my life on. more

Great pistol for the price. Fits my hand perfectly. Nothing wrong with it, just a few things to keep in mind. Field stripping is more difficult than other pistols, finish doesnt seem to hold up as well (material must not... be manufactured as well as the other sigs). Also, the trigger is much to far to the rear while for my liking. Stop by your local store to feel the trigger before you buy. First purchase from Buds, and they did great. Fast shipping, no problems at all. Will buy from here again. more

I must say; I was a little weary about buying a sidearm online, but it exceeded my expectations. The Sig shipped within hours of paying, and arrived the very next day. It arrived in excellent (brand new) condition, and h...ave so far put 50 rounds of cheap Walmart Federal ammo through it ($8.66 for a box of 50). The weapon itself is very well crafted for a "budget" pistol, and despite what other reviewers stated, there is no slop or play in it anywhere. Each shot was nearly dead on to aim, also despite other reviews (maybe they don't know how to aim?) I will be putting the M4a4 on layaway next...once this one loses it's new gun smell. more

    I Dig It!
This is my first firearm and I broke it in with a couple hundred rounds last weekend. It was all cheap stuff (TulAmmo and Remington) and it fired with no problems! I'm looking forward to really becoming a good with this gun. My only complaint is the expensive accessories. more

Got my Sig about a month ago and love it. I've put over five hundred rounds through and not a one problem. Shooting several types of ammo...loves them all. Very accurate and returns to sight picture perfect. DA a little ...heavy at first but breaks in nicely. SA is great. I would take this polymer over any other on the market. Only complaint is one mag and extras are spendy. One word of advice, paying by checking account adds time before it is delivered. Next time I will take the 3{78597de270f02ac43c1f8d5dafe29069d5bd2073a14e3f5e04036ac50c15f6bf} hit and put it on my card. Overall it was a great experience with Buds and will do it again soon. more

Ok I put about 200 9 mm rounds through my Sig 2022/9 mm. The only complaint I have is the soggy drop to the floor trigger. Other than that it is a reliable and accurate pistol. I would recommend it to anyone seeking an e...ntry level high capacity auto 9 mm pistol. Once you get used to the pistol it becomes a sweet shooter. I just wish the trigger was more conventional. I have not had any quality control issues with this gun. Buds delivered this gun to my FFL in three days, great service. more

This was my first handgun purchase as well as my first purchase from Buds. I have to say I'm more than pleased with the performance of this Sig 9mm. I've put 100 rounds through it so far with no FTF's or FTE's. I've alre...ady added a Crimson Trace laser grip and Streamlight TLR3 tac light to it. This gun is AWESOME! Shipping was fast and pickup was very quick at my local FFL. The only negative feedback would be that this gun only comes with 1 mag...I purchased 2 more factory mags @ $40 a piece. Great shipping...Thanks Buds! I will be buying a shotgun from you soon! more

I purchased my sig from buds and could not be more happy. Bud's was easy to deal with, quick to ship, and easy to navigate and use (blah, blah, blah, we all know bud's is great). The Sig is my 4th handgun and by far my f...avorite. I have put just over 500 rounds through it without a single issue. The recoil and noise are both lower than expected, the sights are easy to see and are dead on, and the action is butter. The DA is long and seems heavy, but it is nothing compared to my kel-tec or my S&W snub nose 38. The SA is just perfect, I have no problem emptying a clip as fast as I can pull the trigger without worrying about ftf or fte. I like this gun so much I am going to buy another one as soon as my boss (wife) will allow and I will purchase it from Bud's. My only unhappy issue with the Sig is the extra magazine...they are AWFULLY proud of them at nearly $50 each but if that is my only issue then this must be a great gun. more

Have owned this firearm for just over 2 months now and all I can say is WOW. Mine really likes the hundred round box of winchester that you can buy at walmart, getting about 2 inch groups at 25 ft. Its a little on the bu...lky side so concealed carry is out of the question for me. Only have 2 complaints about it and they are minor. First is that sig only supplies one mag, I know thats a complaint about sig and not the gun but oh well. Only complaint about the gun is that it was shooting way left on my first range trip. Drifted the rear sight with a brass punch and a hammer and its hitting pretty well dead center now. If you're in the market for a $400 handgun you wont go wrong with this amazing and affordable sig sauer more

I bought this pistol back in Nov, 2011 and have taken it to the range and ran 400 + rounds of various ammo throgh it and not one hiccup. I am very fond of this pistol which won me over very quickly. It is reliable at thi...s point and hopefully it will be so in the future. The only downfall is that it ships with one mag, but I was aware of that before I ordered it. A WORD OF ADVICE, as soon as you get this fill out and submit your warranty to SIG SAUER, reason I say this is because SIG gave a BIG discount on accessories. 1) A $149 sig CPL laser for $119, 2) An extra hi-cap mag for $27.80 which normally is around $50 and that made up for it. Also the biggest reward of all would be the fact that I NEVER heard from buds customer DUE to the fact that BUDs got it RUGHT, Quick shipping to my FFL...BuD's ... Keep up the good work because I will ONLY order my firearms in the future will only come from your GUN shop. Even though there was one downside and I am still given this firearm and bud's service an EXCELLENT rating. more

Love this firearm. I tested several semi-autos before deciding on the Sig. Trigger is so nice and I like the DA/SA feature. Decided on the 9mm due to cost of ammo. I intend to use this mostly for recreational/target shoo...ting. I just ordered the large grips to see what difference that will make. The medium grip is good, but I thought I would give the large a try. The only negative I have is that when I was researching this gun the web, it seemed that Sig used to include more cleaner/lube and a bore brush. Now they just give a small sample size of mil-com gun grease. But What the heck, the gun is so sweet I can overlook this!!! more

    Great low priced pistol
I found this pistol to be superior in many ways. I use only Winchester FMJ ammo. I found it to be the best for range and home defense. I won't say this is the best low priced 9MM pistol, but it's up there with ...many others. It cycles smooth and I had no jams. Be sure to clean it before you fire it the first time. Keep it clean and it will work well. Comes with only one mag, bought an aftermarket mag and it also works well. more

My first time purchasing a handgun online. Buds made it a great experience! We will do business again. As for the pistol, it is awesome! I love the weight and it points really easily and naturally. I tool it out and put ...200 rounds through it of the cheapest ammo you can buy (federal and tullammo)...Zero misfires, zero ftf. Every single time I pulled the trigger it fired and cycled through to the next round. for $400 this gun is great! The double action is pretty stiff, but since there is no safety on the gun I see that as a good thing. If you're thinking of buying this gun...get it! You won't be sorry! more

I LOVE IT!!! Ordered the Sig SP2099 9mm on Sunday night and shipped the next day, picked it up Thursday from my quick, so simple, SO pleased with the smooth transaction from Buds. Will definitely be using thi...s website in the future. I have not been able to shoot the Sig yet, hope to this tomorrow. Feels great in my hand; price is very good for this SP2022 9mm. Did a lot of online research on this gun and greater than 90{c3bdbcdad15c45f19b0f5effca323c1d934b74731f4e6b492ce0464a56b81cbb} Positive! Comments regarding the DA/SA trigger and I can understand the comment, the DA pull is long and I will get used to it...I'm a novice so I do not have fixation on either one yet. I really like the location of the slide release and decocker; I had shot another rental gun where the decocker was located by the hammer and it did not feel like a natural motion. This Sig is a little big to be a CC gun and my intention is practice and home defense. Thanks again Buds for the great service! more

Good gun for the price. groups were great but seemed to shoot a tad low the first time out. maybe that will change with break in and different ammo. i ran 100rds of remington umc 115gr through it without one problem. dou...ble action was long and kinda heavy to be expected. single action didnt have too much play and was a pretty crisp break. gun is comfortable, sights are descent, finish is nice, and cleaning isnt bad. not as easy as an xdm or glock to take apart but still easy. gun comes with lock, 2 keys, nice plastic case, instruction book, lube, and only 1 magazine which stinks. they are $50 to buy another. the closest comparable gun i have to this is a ruger p95. this gun is worth the extra 100 bucks though. id buy it again. thanks buds you were great more

    Great Choice
I did alot of research before I purchased and I am very pleased with the Sig. Smooth and easy gun to use. Looks great and easy to clean. Very accurate. It comes with a 15 round mag, its own hard lockable case with a cabl...e style gun lock and an smaller back strap (which I recommend for normal to small hands). I would purchase a second mag because once you start shooting you will not want to stop. This gun is somewhat large for a 9mm, but my fiancee has no problem handling it even with her small hands. It has an attachment rail for accessories such as the led flash light with laser. For the price, you can not go wrong with this gun. more

    A Sig that needs breakin
Bought mine last year and put a box of Federal through it and was not too impressed with accuracy. Went home, cleaned it again and then read online reviews. Several experts all stated this gun needs over 500 rounds to ge...t broken in properly, ouch! Back to range with the kids and let them blast away at 7 yard line. After 6-7 boxes and a couple of quick range cleanings, the darned thing started shooting like a Sig after all. Now with over 700 rounds it shoot as good as my S&W and Beretta. Great price from Academy, I really like DA/SA pistols over DA only. This one does not have half cock or a safety, it does have a decocking lever where some have their safety. I am reluctant to carry a hammer fired pistol with one in the pipe and no half cock or safety. This would be an okay service piece or range gun, once you break it in properly. more

Absolutely love this pistol. Great trigger feel. Nice and crisp. This is a full sized pistol so carrying for concealed can be done but it may not be the best choice. For its size it isn't that heavy due to the polymer co...nstruction. Gun feels solid and well constructed. Takedown is a little more difficult than other pistols however it isnt hard at all. Once practiced I can do it in under a minute. It does have a polymer guiderod but a metal one can be purchased for about 25 bucks if this concerns you. Also, the da trigger pull is looooong but with practice it can be mastered. I just cock the hammer back. The sa trigger is spot on and clean. I love this pistol. If you buy it you will be very happy. I researched pistols like crazy and found this one. Plus, it's a sig. Once again, you won't be disappointed with this pistol. more

After more than 500 rounds the pistol it is so inaccurate at a mere 25 ft I would use it for self defence only if I did not have a bat. Have tried Speer Lawman 115 fmj, russian brown bear115 fmj, bitteroot valley 124 jhp..., and remington 115 fmj. Russian Brown Bear seem to do the best but even that was terrible. Sent back to factory,.... they sent it back saying it was fine. 5 shoots in 10 seconds at 25 ft gets you a10-12 in. pattern. I can hit a 2" bullseye at 50yrds with my ruger 22, but cant hit a 2" spot at 20ft with 10 shots with this gun. Save your money for a Barretta or Browning BDA 380. They are very accurate out to 50 yrds more

This firearm is definitely a Sig. It is nicely balanced and feels good in the hands. No issues of FTF or FTE when taken to the range. Accuracy seemed to be off. Shot my Springfield XD-9 sub-compact side by side and this ...Sig was nowhere near as accurate. Other big issue with this firearm is the long (and I mean long) double action trigger pull. You literally have to pull the trigger all the way to the end. It is long and almost unnatural. Single action, however, is smooth and easy. Not a bad deal for a nice firearm. However, not something I will carry for self-defense. Range plinker for me. more

I am very satisfied with this pistol. Just because it is a budget Sig, doesn't mean it is lacking in quality. Trigger squeeze feels great. It shoots dead on too. I was plinking old golf balls at 10 yards. For my first tr...ansaction with Bud's I must say it was awesome. Very user friendly. Bud's has the best prices too. When I went to my FFL he looked kind of upset that I didn't purchase the Sig from the store. When he asked me how much I paid for it, I told him and he said "oh, yeah I can't beat that". This pistol is great. I have shot 200 rounds through it and no issues at all. It has above average accuracy especially at close range. I contribute this to the DA trigger. Yes it does take some getting use to if you are ...not used to DA triggers. I have a Springfield XD 9 and Taurus 24/7. This pistol is right up there with the Springfield XD, for $50 less it's a good deal. But for another magazine ($40), your savings are null and void. I bought this gun as a home defense weapon. When I first went to the range I was very happy with it except for one thing. The sights were very much off. It shoots very consistently but as was mentioned in another review shoots low and to the right. I have since bought the sight pusher (very expensive. tool is specific to sig pro models only) and it shoots straight now, but still very low. I simply gave up on using the sights at the range and bought a laser for the rail. Recoil feels just like any other 9mm I have ever shot. I do love this gun and it's a shame that I can't give it a 5 out of 5 rating. more

The gun was in perfect working order. Everything was tight. It had no FTF nor FTE. The grip was comfortable and had a natural point of aim. OK....what I did not like about it. The DA trigger was HEAVY!! I don't know how ...many pounds but it sure felt twice heavier than my Sig P220 and CZ75B...combined. The SA was light and crisp though. Somehow, the recoil seemed heavier than usual. Maybe the barrel was higher than usual giving a "snappier recoil". I am a .45 guy, but the SIgPro's recoil was different. I can confidently say that I can shoot tight groups with handguns. The SigPro also had tight groups, about 2" at 10 yards...but 2" low and 1" to the right. Otherwise, BUDS was great as usual in shipping their handguns on time and keeping their ridiculously prices low. I think this my 7th firearm from them. more

Very good price from Buds. Shipping wast fast and reliable. Have only shot about 20 rounds through it and no hiccups using Winchester (dirty box). Sucks that it only came with 1 mag but thats not what is keeping me from 5 stars. The long draw on the trigger is. You have to have the trigger pulled all the way before it will fire. Absolute steal. Ordered this gun and it was at my dealer three days later! Gun shipped exactly as described, plus mine had nitron night sights! Amazing deal and awesome gun. Highly recommended!
