The 3913 shoots very well for me. I think it is a combination of a nicely ergonomic, single-stack grip, good sights and a pretty decent single-action trigger. Double-stack 9mms have been the rage for so long, that I had almost forgotten how nice a single-stack 9mm fits my hand. Obviously, the fit may be different for you, but I like it. Smith & Wesson 3913 Description

The 3900 series consists of a variety of 9mm Luger 'Third Generation' pistols derived from the Model 39 and 439, the so-called 'First Generation' and 'Second Generation' patterns. They all have single column magazines. These are double-action semi-autos utilizing the well-tried Browning locking mechanism and a Walther-style decocking safety lever on the rear left side of the slide. The 3900 series consists of a variety of 9mm Luger 'Third Generation' pistols derived from the Model 39 and 439, the so-called 'First Generation' and 'Second Generation' patterns.
