The Taurus 24/7 Pro was the only gun in the test with a thumb-operated safety. It was located along the top of the frame in line with the slide release and the slide stop pin. All three levers were similar in appearance, so the first few times we tried to lock back the slide we hesitated, choosing the safety lever instead of the lock.
