The gun is small and reliable. However, the sights are barely usable and the trigger pull is very long. Works fine as an emergency close range pistol, but is much less capable than a Ruger LCP II, Springfield 911, or Sig P238.

Tricky to rack with big paws... but when you do make sure that you slingshot it.

I picked this pistol for my wife for concealed carry. It is a great pistol for the money and it fits her hand really well.

The TCP is all I thought it would be. Very easily cancelled and my wife loves the wings for actuating the slide. Very dependable and accurate for it intended purpose. I would definitely recommend it.

Great gun, love the size, had some issues with feeding. Sent back to Taurus for repair. Purchased buds lifetime warranty. Buds customer service is top notch! Still happy with my purchase. Buds customer for life.

Great Pistol

I own two of these pistols and have never had a single problem with either one of them. I also own a Ruger LCP2. The Taurus has a much better trigger, has smoother edges and is thinner. I love the TCP.

Great little gun for the price. Very reliable! Been though close to 1,000 rounds with no jams FTE or any other issues. Light and durable. My wife now carries it...

Excellent pistol for concealed carry in hot weather. Light and small. Put 200 rounds through it the first day without a problem (both JHP and FMJ). Very accurate at 20 feet.

Opinions are like raindrops and are as numerous. My opinion is this gun is the best for concealed carry. I have it in a "Sticky Holster" and carry it in my right front pocket. Absolutely concealed. The sticky holster prevents "printing" and is also great for use in a purse. One of the primary reasons I bought this gun is the lack of external safety as the only safety on a gun is the loose nut behind the trigger. Great firearm for concealment. ...more

Problems with new PT-738 TCP

I took my wife's new 738 to the range the other day to check it out. First time it had been shot since buying it. Fired 8 full mags (6 rounds each) and quit. I was having fail-to-feeds at least 2 rounds a mag, sometimes 3. Most fails were at end of mag, but not all. Obviously, this is NOT acceptable. Secondly, there appears to be some kind of problem with the mags (2 factory supplied). When the mags are loaded to full capacity (6 rounds), the slide is hard to pull back and feels like it is binding. When loaded with only 5 cartridges, the slide pulls back OK.
