    Great rifle
I've had this for about a year and a half. LOVE this rifle. Free floated the hand guard, dropped a CMC tigger in, Lantac muzzle break (best upgrade I did), BCM charging handle, 1-4 vortex PST. Consistently under an inch ...at 100, have run this out 500 and was consistently hitting steel. NEVER any issues at all ever with anything. Best commercially built at a reasonable price MSR out there. All of the actions are smooth as butter, tolerances are perfect, and no issue with all milspec parts. Stock is commercial... I was infantry for many years and this rifle is built like a tank like our issue rifles... more

Great Quality Made In The USA
The Windham Weaponry MPC is my first semiautomatic tactical rifle and the quality is exceptional, it cycles .223/5.56 ammo flawlessly and has minimal recoil which allows you to stay on target for rapid firing accuracy. T...he Diamondhead flip up peep sight with dual apertures is more than enough to keep you on target with tight groups out to 100 yards. It comes in a very nice hard plastic case, with a black-web sling, and the 6 position stock makes it easy to fit all shooters. Also, the etched American Flag on the receiver is a nice touch and part of the proceeds will be donated to help veterans of America. And it's fun as heck to shoot! more

Great Rifle and Fun to Shoot
Having shot quite a few AR's but never owning one myself I finally pulled the trigger and made my decision, and could not be happier with it. This rifle is accurate right out of the box and is a blast to shoot. I would r...ecommend this rifle to anyone, but especially to those just getting acquainted with the AR world. I've been to the range with this rifle more than a few times now and my seasoned AR-15 friends/family members are impressed with this rifle. There are dozens of choices when it comes to AR-15's, and most are pretty good, but I'm glad I made this decision. more

    Outstanding
This rifle has the construction you would expect to accompany a much higher price tag. Well machined, no scratches, no rattles. Everything fits well and feels sturdy. The rifle looks good enough to hang on the wall, but ...is durable enough to throw in the back of the truck. To make a great deal even better, part of the proceeds go to the troops. more

    Quite a Rifle!
Just purchased my first Windom. Purchased the R16M4FTT-762 in 7.62x39. I am not easily impressed but this rifle is a quality weapon. I have 4 other AR platform rifles all of which are piston operated. I wanted to get one... that would fire the cheap AK ammo. I didn’t expect much from a DI gun other than a lot of cleaning. The last DI gun I used on a regular basis was the M16 I was assigned in the Marine Corps. Well call me surprised. Accuracy, quality construction and responsiveness. This weapon runs without a flaw. If you are looking for an AR you would do yourself a grave disservice by not giving serious consideration to the Windom Weaponry family of firearms. more

Reliable Right Out of the Box.
Checked out a lot of reviews before buying this rifle. Jumped on a sale price at Cabelas'. I've shot over 300 rounds using three different ammo brands: Fiocchi .223 55 grain, American Eagle XM193 & .223 (both 55 grai...n), Agulia 5.56 62 grain. Fired all brands flawless but with different accuracy (as I expected). Best groupings came the 62 grain ammo. Out performed my wife DPMS Oracle in reliability which had suffered numerous FTFs and FTEs (mostly when using Fiocchi brand). I was able shoot sub MOA at 100 yards using an unmagnified optics and 55 grain XM193. The Wyndham SRC has out performed my Bushmaster Varmintar (bought before Bushmaster was bought out by Freedom Group) in reliability when using a variety of ammo. When comparing the build quaility to other AR's, at this price point, Wyndham wins hands down. Great AR at great price. I intend to save up for one of their free float systems. more

    MPC R16M4FT - I'll Keep It
I had read a lot of positive reviews about WW plus a friend had recently purchased a WW 5.56 AR and was very satisfied, so I jumped on board. Been to the range three times so far plus a chronograph session. First trip I ...was printing one inch 5R groups at 25 yards, third session 1.5 -2.00 inch 5R groups at 50 yards, not a marksman, but these eyes are 60+ years old .... I bought a 22LR AR conversion bolt that worked flawlessly. Have put about 250R 223/556 plus 500R 22LR through it so far and no issues. The Diamond rear sight is sweet, much better than a plain ole circle. I put a white dot in each corner of the rear diamond, then painted the front post red, giving it a real fast target acquisition. The short barrel makes for a loud report, good ear protection is a must. We chronographed 8 different 223/556 factory loads plus 4 22LR loads. Several factory 55 grain loads were 3100-3200 FPS, and a 62 LAP was just under 3000 FPS, producing about 1200 FP Muzzle Energy, plenty of stopping power. All of the 22LR loads were 1150-1200 FPS, just slighty faster than a 5" BBL handgun. Would highly recommend this weapon. more

    Top Notch Weapon
I bought the SRC and it has never failed me. I've put over 1500 rounds of both factory and reload ammunition and no problems.I am very new to reloading was at first very apprehensive about whether my reloading expertise ...was going to be enough to shoot tight groups. I made rounds consisting of 40, 55, and 62 grain bullets and shot 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards with all rounds. more

    Love This Rifle
I was never an AR freak but fell in love with the Windham MPC's feel. Bought it and tried it with iron flip up sights. As an old guy, I was impressed at holding a 6" group at 50 yds without my glasses first time out.... Added a SWFA 1-4 x 42 Mil scope with their one piece mount. Second time out with the SWFA, I shot thirty rounds through a 1.5 dia circle at fifty yards. The old guy is happy. Figure next time out will be at a 100 yds. Only thing driving me crazy is the trigger. No creep. Just pull until it goes 'boom." But man, I would give up every gun I own (quite a few) for this one. It is a keeper and my go to if.... more

    Great rifle for the price
A great rifle overall! The weapon is smooth, light and accurate. Matter of fact this is the most accurate and easy shooting rifle that I have in the collection. The Windham shoots a tighter group than my Ruger SR556 for ...half the price. The only complaint that I have about this weapon is, it is very finicky about the magazines I feed it. Even when using the original mag that it came with, I really have to slam it into the mag well, otherwise it pops out easily. Other than that it is a wonderful firearm to shoot. more

I had an AR from another company and spent money upgrading it to get it to perform it was sloppy, rattled when you fired it. Trigger was horrible. Put a timney trigger on it and fixed that.I purchased the Windham MPC and... got the chance to fire it today. Using iron sights which is a fixed front and diamond flip up rear that came with the weapon I was shooting just a little low but windage was dead on. The trigger was crisp and smooth. Don't have a trigger pull gauge but I would guesstimate it to be about a 5lb pull. The firearm performed flawlessly. The BEST AR for the price

I came across this company Windham Weaponry and I researched all about them, where they started from and what he did fo...r all his past Bushmaster employees. Most of all is the quality of the rifle and that the company donates money to the paralyzed veterans of America when a rifle is purchased. At the range the rifle shoots and works great. Reminds me of my old M16
If it had a solid buttstock and a 3 round burst it would be almost a perfect match inside and out to my old service rifle. I love the diamond sights on it. I took it to the range the other day to get it sighted in. strai...t from the case it was only off by 2 clicks to the left and one click down. At 100 yards using cheep ammo that I bought I was shooting a ¾ inch grouping. At 200 yards I was at 1 7/8 inch grouping. It was so much fun to shoot that before I knew it I had fired over 200 rounds. The range I was at does not like rapid fire so once I returned to the farm I set up an old HP Computer as a target and emptied two clips into it just as fast as I could getting the barrel smoking hot. Even with the barrel smoking out at 100 yards I was hitting sub MOA. After breaking, the rifle down there was very little sign of ware on any of the moving parts. I love the fact that Windham donates a percentage of the sell to Wounded Vets, it comes with a lifetime transferable warranty, a case and the flag is a nice touch. The only thing I would change is I would include a second magazine. more

After a few months I finally took it out to my friends range and fired 200 rounds - both brass an...d steel with no FTF or FTE. After sighting it in, I was easily hitting my targets. Im definitely happy with this purchase! more

    Great purchase
Put on a Cabelas Red Dot and sighted in, shooting consistent groups, no jams until I used the plastic mags that came free wit the purchase.

50 rounds covered by a quarter!
Granted I only had about 35 yards to work with, but then again it was 50 rounds (and repeated it 4 more times all with M193 & no bench rest). One of the best factory triggers I've ever used. So far have put about 420... rounds through with no ftf's or fte's. Upper & lower are so tight you'd think they were welded tgether. You will not be disappointed even if compared against those costing twice as much or more. more

    bang bang
Bought this rifle about 6 months ago and since then have put this thing through the ringer. It's been banged, dropped, wet, etc. I've thrown high dollar ammo as well as the cheap stuff at it and it just keep performing. ...I've got two friends that are machinists and neither could believe how good the fit and finish is on this gun. Great craftsmanship. If you want a quality gun that won't let you down, buy one, you won't be disappointed. more

    Better than I expected
First Ar-15 purchase and after doing my research this was the only one I really considered buying and Cabela's had them in stock. The engraved American Flag was a plus.At the range it was accurate at 100 yards right out ...of the box. The Windham Weaponry story is really worth reading about. What a great weapon. more

    Very nice
This is my first AR style gun. I spent several months deciding on which one to buy and I am very happy with my choice. I have several hundred rounds of various ammunition (.223 and 5.56) with no issues at all. I just pur...chased a .22LR conversion kit for shooting at my indoor range. What a blast. No issues shooting .22LR either. I highly recommend this gun and you are also supporting a good cause to boot. more

    Very impressive!
After being out of shooting as a hobby for the last couple years, I hadn't heard about Windham. The associate at the gun desk brought me up to speed on the basics of who they are, and their support of our armed forces.

    Extremely pleased
I bought my Windham AR-15 at Cabelas in Ft. Worth, Texas in November 2012. I didn't want to write a review until I had really put it through the paces. I also bought a 3X9 regular rifle scope for it and had Cabelas mount... it for me with this purchase. To date, I have fired approx 1000 rds through this AR-15 and never had a mis-fire or jam problem. It performs flawlessly and at 100 yds, I can cover 5 rds with a quarter consistantly. It is also very easy to break down and clean too. more

    Excellent Rifle all around
This rifle is excellent, the other reviews here hit the nail square on the head. It's fit and finish is unmatched by any other mass produced AR style Rifle I've personally handled. The only "complaint" I can ha...ve is that I wish it were offered in an FDE version. But for the price point, it can be customized fairly heavily without breaking the bank. more

    Cabela's & Windham - Both Terrific
First I would like to give a big compliment to Cabela's and the employees behind the gun counter. The morning I bought my Windham there was a line of about 50 people waiting for the door to open. At the open we all rushe...d to the gun counter. It was obvious that all the AR style rifles were going to sell within minutes - but that made no difference to the guys behind the counter. They were extremely friendly and helpful with all of my questions and concerns. I had done my research and knew Windham was great but he added much more relevant info and highly recommended the gun and the company. By the way, he was also a vet and appreciated the Windham way of helping vets. I have bought several long guns from Cabela's and they have always been EXCELLENT.Now to my Windham. The fit and feel are first rate. Right out of the box everything was clean, sharp and tight. Everything felt to be better quality than some of the other lower priced AR's I had handled. I bought the SRC because I wanted a scope. It shoots absolutely fantastic. Also, I have contacted Windham 3 times by phone. Once to activate my lifetime warranty and twice to buy 30 rd mags (they had them in stock). All 3 times they were very friendly, very quick to respond, and thanked me for buying a Windham. I could not be more satisfied. more

    MPC A4
I just love this rifle! I bought the Windham Weaponry MPS A4 about a year ago and am extremely pleased with my purchase. This is a solidly built rifle that was everything that I had hoped it would be. I have added a smal...l tactical scope to it, but the flip-up rear iron sights are solid and extremely accurate. I would highly recommend this rifle. more

    THE EPITOME OF PERFECTION!
I am a member of a S.W.A.T. team and have used many variations of this platform and this by far outshines any of the firearms I have previously used and owned. This is absolutely my go to rifle for any day. It works flaw...lessly, perfect accuracy out of the box, not a single misfire or issue in over 1000 rounds. Tolerances are perfect and you couldn't find a better rifle even at higher cost. This SHOULD BE YOUR NEXT PURCHASE. End of story. more

    100% reliable
I bought a high quality gun for a reason. Because i plan on blasting cheap steel cased russian ammo with no complaints. Can't figure out why i would want to send high dollar rounds through paper. This gun is flawless. Rap...id fire, no problem. Feeds every time. Ejects every time. Precise shots hit bulls eyes. I'm beyond impressed. This baby has been shooting the cheap Herters from Cabelas. Some freebie Norinco my neighbor gave me, and super cheap WPA from a gun show.It just doesn't care. Every trigger pull sends bullets flying. As far as being accurate. Hit bulls eyes every time out. Obviously not ever shot. Fixed irons are great. Cheap red dot I put on it, great. This thing just loves to hit bulls eyes. GO BUY ONE.Coyotes are hiding in fear. more

    High Quality Firearm & Service
Having been around firearms my whole life, but never an AR type, I was very thankful to have the expertise of Shane at the Scarborough, ME store during my purchase of my MPC. I had done plenty of research and knew what g...un I wanted when I came into the store, but I was very comfortable with my purchase after Shane explained how to operate and maintain it. Being a veteran, his opinion was VERY valuable. Kudos to Cabelas for hiring veterans to man their firearms department! They actually know what they're talking about and love their product(or tell you if they don't). more

    windham src
I researched several ar's before purchasing this carbine m4 in july and all i can say is that i'm glad that i did. It's hard to beat the value of this rifle with the included heavy barrel that i believe is a partnership ...between cabelas and windham weaponry. So far i've had zero problems with the rifle. The accuracy is spot on and functions flawlessly, i've put a couple thousand rounds through it with various types of ammunition and it shoots .223 just was well as .556. A great purchase and i couldn't be happier with the rifles quality as its fit and finish rivals that of much more expensive rifles. Thank you cabelas and windham for the upgrade(heavy barrel and trigger) on an already solid rifle. more

    Much Pleased with the SRC
Purchased this rifle and tru glo red dot to be used for plinking fun in 2nd Amendment Deprived U S Territory (aka Illinois) and I am really happy that I did. Obviously well made, I was able to consistently able to fill 9...-10 rings at 100-120 yards out of the box and I have had no experience with ARs. I became comfortable with it in less than a Mag and now love it. I researched nearly every AR in a civilian version out there, and for the money and what I use it for (target practice/occasional coyote) it cannot be beat IMHO. more

Windham Weaponry MPC - Definitely Recommend It
I purchased the Windham MPC about a month ago; am very happy with the quality of components and how it functions... Shoots great, not one jam at all...Have been out to the range 4x; it's pretty darn accurate - at 100yds ...using 55gr factory rounds; out of 10 shots, 4 were in bull and the rest were in the 9 ring... Originally, I sighted it in w/iron sights & then put a dot socpe on it and both were fine... Give these guys a look, check out their site for specifics - this is a well made firearm... Do your research, you'll find that they made fine weapons; sold their business and are now back on the scene... Also a donation from each purchase goes to wounded vet group (that's 1st class)... more

    Wow!!
Bought the Windham Weapondry AR-15 MPC Model and I'm sure glad I did!The accuracy and price was far and away better than the Colt 16" I had in the late 1990's.Add the fact it has a forward assist, dust cover, chrome... lined bore, heavy profile barrel, Lifetime Transferable Warranty, diamond flip-up rear sight and a percentage of the purchase price goes towards a Veteran's program I can't think of any reason not to make this paurchase!!!Beats any other manufacturer hands down. more

Truly excellent quality, finesse - and service
I have owned, and assembled AR type rifles, for over thirty years. I consider the Windham carbines, and return of the personnel, to be a blessing. They equal, if not surpass, any other manufacturer in the general retail ...marketplace. And they equal, if not surpass, the quality of any semi-custom build - regardless of manufacturer. SMOOTH OPERATION, EXCELLENT CHOICE
Fit is extremely good, the finish is uniform color on all parts. Quality shows in each part of the Windham. Very, very smooth operation. I chose the SRC ORC flat fop version to be able to detail out as I want (have added... other manufactured items such as scope, iron sights, additional mags). I have absolutely no problems resulting from my current experience with the Windham. "As received" there was no visual dents, dings or scratches this shows excellent visual quality control. Prior to purchasing I did a lot of homework, reading reviews on the Windham website, AR-15 websites and from other sources such as magazines and comments from gunsmiths close to my area. The comments made by gunsmiths were for that amount of money you can't do better. They use the best manufactured materials and types of materials for parts of the Windham (based on written reviews), with correct pinning as needed. The performance and operation is flawless, no hang ups, misfires or jams. The Windham is really, really smooth. I like using iron sights plus a red dot scope at they work well for me in coexistence. The shot groups were less than 1.5" at 100 yards using new .223 ammunition and shooting form a fixed position. I am very pleased with this purchase especially from the Cabelas team of professionals. The question I always ask myself is "Would you do this again?" The answer in making the choice of the Windham is absolutely yes. Additionally it is made in the USA. I look forward to handling and shooting it. more
