This has been deemed legal in NJ by the BATF : An email was recently sent out to FFLs in New Jersey with a message from “THE NJSP FIREARMS INVESTIGATION UNIT.” It stated “…Mossberg Model 590 Shockwave, Black Aces Tactical DT and the Remington TAC-14. The New Jersey State Police Firearms Investigation Unit concurs with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) that these pistol grip only designed firearms are legal for sale in the State of New Jersey as a firearm.”

I definitely agree with you on this. In NJ, there were a lot of FFL's that were unsure and would not transfer. They have been given explicit instructions they can transfer these type firearms now.

here in nc the state restricts (most) local (anti) firearm laws but I am not sure about other states

Randy, this is from the NJSP to NJ FFL's. They were given the green light in NJ and adhere to the BATF (Federal Laws)(At the State level). I think Buds recognizes this on shipping ***We're currently not shipping this firearm to CA, NY, MA, or OH***

Yes appears to be good in New Jersey but I would check with my local FFL holder to make sure of any local laws that may affect it here is the NJ restrictions budsgunshop.com/catalog/feeds/state_reg/new_jersey_restrictions.pdf
