This might provide some clarification for Ohio shooters from the Buckeye Firearms Association. buckeyefirearms.org/mossberg-590-shockwave-legal-ohio
Kim B I was told that this firearm does not violate that Code since the ATF has classified it as a Firearm. It comes from the factory with never having a buttstock so it is not a shotgun and it is longer then 26 inches. That is what I found out after speaking to the Ohio Attorney Generals office who then referred me to the ATF. Oh I called my local sheriff first who referred me to the AG's office in the first place. I placed several calls so I'm not sure why Buds is not shipping to Ohio I put in a question and have not received a response yet from Buds
Ohio revised Code: 2923.11 Weapons control definitions. "Sawed-off firearm" means a shotgun with a barrel less than eighteen inches long, or a rifle with a barrel less than sixteen inches long, or a shotgun or rifle less than twenty-six inches long overall.
I paid for my preorder in March. Talked to Buds a few days ago. They aren't shipping to Texas either. Gave me a full refund. I would rather have the Mossberg.
If you are not a dealer, you have to ship through a gun dealer in the state of Ohio.
I just saw a video about this gun. Then I looked up my state law. The barrel is 2 inches too short to be legal. Ohio probably has similar restriction.
Most likely a state regulation will not allow the firearm to be shipped or sold in your state. Each state may have different standards then others like California for example
