Daniel Defense M4A1 Capacity

The DD M4A1 is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO (.223 Remington) and feeds from all STANAG M4/M16/AR15 pattern magazines giving it a standard capacity of 30 rounds.  Naturally, shorter 5, 10 and 20 round magazines are very easy to find, and larger 40, 60 and 100 round magazines can be found in just about any gun shop in the country.

The Daniel Defense M4A1 has an unloaded weight of 6.75 pounds and measures anywhere from 31.5 inches to 34.8 inches long depending on your stock placement.  The DD M4A1 has marginally better maneuverability due to its shorter overall length compared to a 16” AR15 yet is just as easy to carry around over long durations.  The big advantage with this rifle comes from its stock that allows you to more easily roll the gun from low-ready to getting a sight picture.

Daniel Defense M4A1 Mobility

Daniel Defense M4A1 Ergonomics

The DD M4A1 has the same manual of arms as any other AR15 with the improvement of an ambidextrous safety, though the ergonomics are definitely superior over the Mil-Spec examples.  The grip has contours that improve comfort and the adjustable stock allows you to change the length of pull, and the stock also has a rounded buttpad that makes going from low-ready to high-ready a much more fluid motion.

Daniel Defense M4A1 Fit & Finish

Daniel Defense is known for honing and polishing every surface on their gun, and this improves reliability as well as offer one of the smoothest actions you’ll ever feel in an AR.  The M4A1 is offered with a quad rail or M-lok handguard.  This gun has 100% parts compatibility with every AR15 compatible aftermarket part, so if you want to customize it, there’s nothing stopping you.
