How would you like to rate Glock 19 Gen 4?
Glock is a great manufacturer and consistently provides reliable tools for all applications. I bought a gen 4 with a grey polymer lower and the amazing color matches my range belt. I had the option to buy a gen 5 for about 20 dollars cheaper but the gen 4 finger grooves provide a better grip in my opinion and the plus to this is a larger after market parts selection. The moon cut on the gen 5 grip is also a down fall, this is also an opinion. The pistol is sold with 3 magazines also 4 back straps all which enhance and provide a better fit for all hands. ...more

The Glock has one of the most dangerous and idiotic take down systems in the world and unfortunately because of its marketing success every manufacture tried to come up with one similar but few made one that was safe to use or take apart. The Glock takedown requires you to pull the trigger before the slide can come off and the slide has to be forward. If you forget just one time to check the chamber you end up either shooting yourself or someone in the vicinity of the gun. Contrast this with say a Beretta 92 that requires you to lock the slide back which would then eject from the chamber a forgotten live round in the chamber. ...more
