Happy with this gun. It’s my first actual target gun. Finish on metal is nice. Faux carbon fiber is different than expected, makes it look quite unique.rnShoots very soft with medium springs installed using 2 3/4 dr 1 1/8oz loads (with steel base). Had several stovepipes, would recommend brass-based and/or 3dr loads. My son’s 1100 has same issue, brass 3dr only for reliable cycling. And yes, I keep my guns clean and lubed properly. Stock-to-receiver fit is not perfect but hey, I bought it to shoot, not caress and criticize.rnrnFor the money, I feel it’s a good value. The adjustable stock is one of the main reasons I went with this gun. I can lower the butt plate and adjust the comb to get a good fit. Feel like I could shoot it all day with no soreness. I’m thin and got tired of my cz beating me up after 75-100 rounds.rnrnBuds was excellent as always, I used the ach transfer option which worked smoothly. Will be back for next gun! ...more

Bud's was great as usual. The Remington 1100 Competition is Ok but for interested purchasers: 1) The LOP is not adjustable. 2) The butt pad is adjustable linearly up and down OR rotated but not left or right and the Pad needs to be removed to adjust. 3) The LOP is actually longer than any other 1100. 4) The Comb comes at full height so for longer necked or females it may not have sufficient travel. Speedbump Stockworks sells a 1/2" direct fit Kickeez pad for a shorter LP. 5) Mine has a sticky extractor which needed work to function. 6) The muzzle is not square to the bore so the chokes do not stay tight and loosen every couple of shots. Other than that the trigger is good and I like the profile of the rib. Mine came in at just over 9 pounds but it does not feel that heavy since some is in the stock. Would I recommend it? Maybe, but I am not sure it is a real value proposition. ...more

Remington 200TH YEAR ANV 1100 12G 28IN What can I say, a shotgun with a big history from back in the 1970s one of the best shotguns a hunter could ever owned. I have 6 of them from my grandfather and they are dated ll the way back in 70s either 2-3/4 all the way to the legendary 1100 Magnum(3 inch) I have hunted with them since I was 8 years old any type of game in every condition sunny, cold, rainy, always the best results. This specific model I bought because its one of a kind and it really looks great and all the details are incredible. it will be a shotgun to show only. I know my grand father would be proud to own one like this as well.!!! ...more

Cycles everything from the lightest target load to the heaviest rifled slug. Crisp checkering. I like the durable finish. The stock did not come with the sling attachment point.

I purchased this gun as a surprise gift for my father's 60th birthday. I don't know much about guns but I did a lot of homework before making a final decision. After countless hours I came across the Remington line and checked out their website. Right away I knew that the 200th Year Anniversary - line will be the version of a gun I will be getting him. When I got the notification that my shipment was received by my local firearm dealer, I called him right away to confirm. His response was "Sorry man, I can't give you the gun." I asked why, he replied, " Holy F*ING Mackerel - this gun is absolutely amazing!". Right away I knew I made the right choice knowing that a man who has been in the business for a very long time praised this gun, its carved out details, the gold additions, and the quality of the wood finish. After hearing his reaction, I couldn't be more excited to pick it up and give it to my dad, last weekend. The gun itself is a beauty to look at and hold. The glossy finish, the heavier weight feels very sturdy and "good" in hands. In addition, we were extremely surprised that the gun has no recoil. In fact, my father has another shotgun, 20 gauge, that actually leaves a bruise on his shoulder if he doesn't hold it properly. We shot the 1100 model a few times and there was no jerk, pushing, or pain - nothing. Anyway, I hope this review helps anyone with their decision. It is an amazing gift - and I couldn't be more satisfied with Bud'z pricing, shipment, and quality of this Remington gun. ...more
