The Ruger 10/22 Takedown is chambered in .22LR and feeds from the ultra-reliable 10-round flush-fit Ruger rotary magazines. This rifle can also feed from the aftermarket 25-round curved box magazines.
Ruger 10/22 Takedown Feature
The Ruger 10/22 Takedown is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22LR and has a quick-detaching 16.1 inch barrel that can quickly and easily be removed for easy storage. The barrel is surrounded by a vented shroud made of aircraft grade aluminum that tensions the barrel for maximum accuracy and the barrel has a ½-28 thread on the muzzle. The lockup between the receiver and barrel guarantees a proper return-to-zero.
Ruger 10/22 Takedown Ergonomics
The Ruger 10/22 Takedown offers identical ergonomics and handling to any other 10/22 rifle in a composite stock. The pistol grip in the stock offers an excellent grip for a proper trigger pull, the reciprocating charging handle is located along the right side of the bolt, and the magazine release is located in front of the trigger guard behind the magazine.
Ruger 10/22 Takedown Mobility
The Ruger 10/22 Takedown measures 34.6 inches long and weighs only 4.2 pounds unloaded. This rifle can easily be carried for long durations with minimal fatigue thanks to its incredibly light weight, and its relatively short overall length allows for easy maneuvering through close-quarter environments. The general lack of protruding edges also prevents it from getting caught on foliage and other objects.
Ruger 10/22 Takedown Fit-N-Finish
The Ruger 10/22 Takedown is built with the same attention, care, and quality engineering and manufacturing as all of Ruger’s other products. The receiver is drilled and tapped to accept optics, and the barrel mounting bracket is designed to offer a solid return-to-zero after the barrel is re-inserted. This rifle is typically built with factory-installed iron sights.
