The Beretta M9A3 Semi-Auto Pistol evolved from the M9 service pistol to become a highly adaptive tactical pistol, now manufactured in Beretta's here in the USA. The Vertec-style vertical grip of the M9A3 has a vertical configuration, making the pistol point instinctively for rapid target engagement. The grip is also thinner than the original M9, though it still uses a double-stack, high-capacity magazine. The M9A3 uses a universal slide, which easily converts from FS to G mode (safety-decocker or decocker-only).
How would you like to rate Beretta M9A3?
Excellent firearm. Typical Beretta quality. I also have an M92A1 which I also purchased from Buds. It too is an excellent pistol. However, I do not have large hands, and the 92A1 has large, thick grips. The M9A3 solves that problem! The grip is much thinner, and the trigger is outstanding. It is the next step in the 92 series, and I highly recommend it. Buds service was excellent as always ...more
The M9A3's trigger feels better than previous models. Not sure exactly what they've done in there to change it. May just be a D spring. The night sights work well, and the vertec style grip makes it nice for smaller hands. The mags seem to work well with no failures.rnrnI'm not a huge fan of Berettas with accessory rails. They just don't do it for my style wise. I can't own a suppressor here in Illinois, so the threaded barrel and tall sights don't do much for me either.rnrnAll in all it's a great gun, just not for me. ...more
Typical Beretta. Shoots very well when clean and lubed. To those of you who got used to carrying the M9 while serving, like me, this Vertec grip feels different in a good way. Initially trained on 1911’s, then eventually on M9’s. This is a nicely made handgun. The grip angle feels more like a 1911. Just got back from the range where I used a AAC Trident 9 on it and I’m impressed. Has to be the quietest setup I’ve ever had. No eat protection required. Thanks Bud’s for the great customer service! ...more
